Here is an excellent article for anyone with arthritic type complaints. It is entitled: "ARTHRITIS, A NEEDLESS CRIPPLER" by Dr. John R. Christopher

From the article 3 things can improve the condition even if nothing else is done.

1. eliminate meat from the diet
2. eliminate refined sugar from diet
3. drink plenty of "distilled water"

The article is excellent. It talks about how inorganic calcium in water builds up around the joints. Red meat contains uric acid which exacerabates the problem. ACV helps to dissolve the calcium build up. Herbs to take are also recommended.

I also recommend Dr. Christopher's book on natural healing. He was somewhat of a guru on natural healing and also has an amazing personal story.

Eliminate ALL dairy products if you have arthritis. Eliminate other mucous causing foods like flour as well. Arthritis is a disease of toxicity so it is about getting the bad stuff out more than anything else. Consider colonic irrigation if you are unable to do a juice fasting. If you eat meat, do so with proper food combining (do not eat protein with starch, eat fruit alone, etc.

Eat no raw tomatoes or peppers to get rid of arthritis. Eat grapes and pineapple to counter act arthritis. Stop taking advil or other pain relievers. It will take time.

Hello, Approximately a year and a half ago I had a knee replacement, and although I'm left with residual pain and stiffness I have been able to walk three or four miles. However, I feel that the arthritis is moving to my hips, and this worries me. I've tried so many supplements, Borax, ACV, MSM, gelatine, etc but none of them have appeared to help. Very recently I've started taking chicken cartilage type II in capsule form, so I shall see if this helps. I attempt to follow a healthy diet, but am wondering if changing to either a vegetarian or vegan diet would help with the arthritis. The Arthritis Society suggests that this could be beneficial. I'd be interested to learn if anyone has had any success in treating their arthritis by cutting out meat, fish, etc? Best wishes.

I have age-related osteoarthritis (I'm almost 64). What's worked for me is completely cutting out refined sugar in any form, including the "bad" carbs (pastas, breads, white rice, etc.), and definitely using turmeric whenever I can. I've regularly made the "golden milk" (recipe here in EC), and have added the turmeric, organic UNrefined virgin coconut oil and black pepper to my homemade soups and teas. I had a right hip replacement February 2018, and the only time I feel any pain in my knees or even that right hip area it's because I've "cheated" with the junk food. So, basically, at least for me, cleaning up the diet and lots of turmeric really keeps the aches and pains away.

I am 64. I consider that to be young. Its definitely too young for a hip replacement and wonder if other remedies such as you are doing now would have helped you avoid that. Try accupuncture [japanese is painless].

Right now Wen, I'd give a bunch (if I had it) to be able to go to an Alternative medicine doctor. I do all alternatives, no drugs, myself. Kind of my own guinea pig but I've been helped so much so far. Now I'm developing arthritis (diagnosed with degenerative, and some arthritis about 2 years ago. I'm 67, active and eat balanced meals including fruits, vegetables, lots of water (bout my only liquid is water) I walk 6 miles a week average, and ride my bike double that probably. I also do free weights here at home at least 3 times a week. I also love to dance and like turning on my tunes and doing lots of stretches, bending and just moving to the beat ;) But I know as I age, my body will get deficient for the usual reasons. Can't get it all in the foods I buy, and I am not a perfect eater, although most days are very balanced. So maybe my arthritis would be a lot worse than it is, but even a little of it hurts like being kicked. I know people here know just what I'm talking about. I hope and pray we all find relief, and also, can somehow rebuild our bods, or at least stop the progress of the arthritis, etc.

Turmeric jar is still full since I can't seem to get passed the taste of it. When you mentioned Golden Milk, thought I'd try and find the recipe. I can handle turmeric in almond milk I'm thinking, although I haven't tried it. Also, if I mix it with other anti-inflammatories like cinnamon, ginger that was ok for a very, short time. I can't get away from bread so far, I don't know what effect that would have on me. I know many say gluten is bad for them but I don't think I have an issue with that, and eat very little. I've heard a lot about turmeric though so I am going to look for something to put it in so I can gag it down, lol! Or maybe just use capsules. I have a bag of those I was putting Cayenne pepper in. I should start using the cayenne again too ;)

I was in my late 60s when arthritis flared up in my ankles, some days it was so bad I had difficulty even getting out of bed, it seemed to come and ease off. I suspected it may have been an intolerance, so along the route of modern medicine I eventually hit the buffers when I finally saw a Rheumatologist who assured me they could "manage" my condition not cure, only manage. Great. So this is how I cleared my arthritis, I was diagnosed as being wheat intolerant by a Kinesiologist.

So my cure turns out to be NO grains that is:

NO wheat, rice, oats, rye, corn

NO sugar - you knew this already

No processed foods this includes processed meats, sausages, bacon, pies et. al. we all know what those bad boys are, anything containing chemicals preservative etc. they don't belong in your body.

Its up to you. Try it - its not easy. A small price to pay to get you're life back tho.

Of course you may intolerant to something else find out yourself what that something is, your doctor has absolutely no idea, they are on the whole incompetent and unable to cure.

Turmeric extract might help and or diatomaceous earth. You should see some improvement with your bone broth supplements.

Relation of Nightshades to Arthritis:

I have tried this 'cure' with good results. It is hard to remove all nightshades but you notice when you have had some the next day (pain). A lot of arthritis pain is caused by poor diet.

I used to really be a junkfood junkie and it took a long time for me to be willing to eat real food but now that I am I feel much better. In addition to cutting out everything that isn't real food you might try going off of eggs, dairy, because that is the culprit in many situations. I hope you find what is causing the inflammation and get to feeling better real soon.

After a year with little salt, no sugar, carbs, night shades, tomato sauce or dairy I ate thanksgiving dinner. The next day I couldn't make a fist in both hands and trigger fingers appeared. I can only say all the sugar and carbs in that meal did me in. I'm now trying to rid my hand pain and it's been a month. Going back to my dietary changes of before. Prior to this those changes had me drop 20 pounds too I just did it for that, but seeing how those food's affected me, it's a small price to pay folks to be pain free. Just hope I haven't damaged my joints!! Food in America is worthless and you wonder why we have all those awful commercials for ailments. Wise up my friends.

Avoid or preferably eliminate all foods from the nightshade family (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant etc, google it) from your diet. It worked for me! It should be removed from your diet for 6 weeks to see results. I had a trigger thumb beside the painful joints which both are cured with this remedy. I also soaked my thumb in a hot bath of MSM.

It has everything to do with your vitamin D3 levels. If you have enough vitamin D3 it is not a problem to eat these foods (like in Italy :-)).

DMSO spray or lotion to affected area to be first choice of Arthritis remedy (whether rheumatoid or osteo). There are plenty of authoritative documentations as to how effective DMSO is. It is surprising that not many people seem to use it. The typical 99.9% is too strong to spray, best skin absorption is 70-80% they say, but one shouldn't use such high concentration since it stings too much. There shouldn't be any rush, I use 40% spray to hip joints (which I have been suffering few years & getting worse), and I saw much improvement in only few days!!! I don't feel much stings with 40% (just add 6 parts of distilled water to 4 parts of 99.9% DMSO, this will HEAT the solution, don't be surprised, this is normal reaction – this is NEVER mentioned in any literature I saw). Some plastic melt in DMSO, so preferably buy DMSO spray bottle. Also don't forget Red/NIR Light Therapy too. This is very effective on arthritis as well as many many body conditions, you will be surprised to find so many health benefits in Red Light Therapy including skin rejuvenation. Again plenty of documentations. Study them. This is NOT UV high frequency light, but low frequency red and beyond NIR (Near Infrared that is invisible & has longer wave length than red).

Thank you for this J. I have some pretty painful arthritis starting up, especially in my hands, but lots of places in my body have the pain, seems out of nowhere. DMSO doesn't touch the trigger-finger pain, or the elbow pain (that started just 2 days ago). I first did the dmso diluted, then when that didn't help I used it right out of it's bottle at 99.9%. Now I'm doing the boron/borax thing using 1/8 tsp in purified water. This is my 3rd day into that. I'll take off 2 days as recommended. I know not all "fixes" work for everyone, but I'm pretty sure DMSO is one that takes effect immediately after rubbing it on. I did use it for a few days on my finger/hand, but only 3 times on my elbow.

I have suffered from arthritis for years and have tried several types of medications.Most give pain-killing results but with side effects. Feeling hungry one evening, I ate a large handful of dried dates, and next morning I felt like a different person. All pain had gone! Why is this? Have I discovered a miracle cure? Could others try this, to confirm or refute. I double checked the food I had eaten the previous couple of days, but the only item that was unusual was the dates. Your's Edward.

Tea can cause arthritis!

Why are the government of India and the state governments doing nothing to ruthlessly curb the rampant adulteration and massive contamination of common items of food like tea, milk, cooking oils, spices, etc? Adulteration and contamination of such common foods can cause coughs, colds, asthma, arthritis, cancer and many other diseases in millions of people.

How many persons will believe that I suffered from arthritis, which often caused pain in my knees, over a period of about 3 years, mainly because I was drinking tea? The tea must be containing harmful chemicals, which are used for giving flavor and color to the damned tea leaves during the time they are processed!

I was able to cure myself of arthritis only after I completely stopped drinking tea. I had tried many types of dietary treatments to control the symptoms of arthritis, but I was unable to cure myself of arthritis, as long as I did not completely stop drinking the darn tea!!

Even though I am 73 years old, I have again started riding my bicycle for about 40 minutes almost every day. People who know me are surprised to see me cycling again after a long time. They had often seen me walking slowly and uncomfortably on the streets of pune in the last 3 years. The discomfort due to the arthritis in my knees was obvious to those who had seen me walking awkwardly during that period.

I ordered Emu oil and Emu Oil cream for my 92 year old grandmother from Amazon and had it shipped directly to her. The oil arrived yesterday and she applied it to her knees and feet using a kleenex. She reported to me that the pain from the arthritis in the knees vastly improved within 15 minutes. She said she did not notice improvement in her feet (neuropathy) but she is going to continue to use it on both areas. The cream was shipped separately and she has not recieved it yet. I have asked her to keep me updated on her symptoms and perception of the pain decrease.

Thanks about the Epsom salts. My knuckle had been hurting a lot for two days. This morning I could not sleep it hurt so bad. I got up at 4:00 AM and made up a bowl of bath-hot water and a handful of Epsom salts. I soaked it about 3 minutes and like magic all the pain was gone. Nothing else I had tried worked. I love Earth Clinic and the generous people who share here.

I have been taking epsom salts all year every morning a few spinkles in my 500m water bottle (room temp water) and my aches and pains have all but disappeared. I remember my grandmother always put epsom salts in her tea each morning just a few sprinkles and she said so she did not get arthritus. Well I have to say I think it works but what I want to know is too much bad for you internally anyone know thanks.

Gentle exercise for arthritis relief

Great tips. This would apply to #10, Exercise. Tai Chi is one the best low-impact, moderate exercises you can do for all of the body's systems, including the immune system and reducing the inflammatory response. I have found that the eastern arts such as Tai Chi and Qigong provide a simple and quick way to maintain my health and energy levels as well as keeping me fit.

I experience a lot of pain in one of my hips...I have a femoroacetabular impingement, and associated bursitis and arthritis. It was becoming a major problem, and I was finding it painful to put any weight on the hip. I'm in my mid 30's. I've started swimming again and even though initially it made it worse, the effect after just a few weeks of regular freestyle has made all the difference. no pain, increased movement and range in the hip and most importantly, stronger gluteal muscles to support the area, as that's my best hope (surgery is not an option). Everyone, get moving!
