If you read the latest reports from Harvard University you will find that there is no connection for Fluoride and prevention of tooth decay. Fluoride has nothing to do with teeth. This is a hoax. There are many other reports that say the same thing. Fluorided is banned in most of Europe, Russia and China. It's not good for you.

Hi Diane...I really haven't got the greatest faith in Brita Water Filters:

Complaints from Consumer Affairs

I would simply find a good clean bottled source of mineral water and just use that.

Alkalizing your body and also drinking borax water(as recommended on EC) and supplementing lugols iodine will all help to remove the fluoride. Supplementing 10% sodium thiosulfate -- 6 drops in a glass of water per day -- will help you to neutralize the chlorine and will also help to detox heavy metals from your body.

Bill, Thank you for the quick reply...Do you have a name brand of a "Good clean source of mineral water?" They all make claims and I am a bit reluctant to purchase any until I get a good referral, which would be from you. Thank you again...

* I also have dark black flecks of charcoal in my Brita filter. Didn't realize what it was until I read the consumer complaints you posted.

Diane have you considered ProOne Water Filters. They are a single stage water filter that reduces fluoride.

Also Berkey Water Filters with PF-2 Filters are very effective with a great reputation

No, currently pitcher filters do not remove flouride from water. In fact, most filtration systems do not. Bone Char carbon removes flouride, in large part because it is 90% calcium. I have yet to find it in the high end forms of filtration cartridges(carbon block) but it can be found in refillable filtration cartridges as a granular product similar to standard GAC and in loose granuals to refill those cartridges. Activated alumina also removes flouride, but can leach aluminum into the water at low levels and is not as effective as bone char carbon. Finally, RO has been shown to remove up to 90% of flouride, but because free fluorine is much smaller than a water molecule, I suspect the majority of the reduction comes from removing fluoride compounds and that most free flouride passes through. Those cartridges will fit standard 10" filter housing, so I am installing an RO system and replacing one of the carbon impregnated cellulose cartridges with a bone char carbon cartridge. That gives the best of both.

I have been living over seas for the past 6 months.

In regards to flouride. I have read extensively your articles. I would like to point out that you mention in one section that reverse osmosis bottled water such as Aquifina, etc are clean of flouride due to the fact that they are reverse osmosis filtered---HOWEVER I CAUTION YOU AND YOUR READERS---READ THE LABEL. Aquifina here in where I live and in the US last time I check had significant levels of Flouride AND Chlorine. While I cannot substantiate WHY it would I suspect it is because they are adding it AFTER filtering for "our benefit". I can tell you here even distilled water is curiously high in both flouride and chlorine AND IS MARKETED specifically for babies as "PURE Distilled water".

There has been a massive push in just the last 3 months here to add flouride to drinking water and almost every toothpaste that DID NOT have it, has now produced a version with it or even eliminated the non-flouridated product.

THIS is all being done ONLY under the guise that the American Dental Association has accepted flouride as a wonderful preventitive. I now wonder how many other widely accepted programs in foreign countries have' been created just because "America is doing it".

If only one thing, I stress again and again read the labels. You can at least keep yourself safe until they start taking the labels away, by then you should have your OWN water purification reverse osmosis or distiller to protect yourself if you do not already.

Speaking as someone who is hypersensitive to fluoride, I can tell you from experience that distilled water is normally fluoride free. I have seen a few cases of fluoride being added back to reverse osmosis filtered water, but that's not a common practice and I don't believe that occurs in the case of Aquafina. However, that said, Steve does make a good point in that one should always read the label of filtered water to see if it makes any reference to fluoride being added back in. Unfortunately, since one can't always rely on the label in the case of fluoride, you might consider using r/o water that doesn't indicate the addition of any minerals after the filtering process, unless it comes from a trusted source. For those individuals who prefer to have minerals in their water, I recommend buying a spring water that is known to be relatively fluoride-free, such as Chippewa spring water.

Aquafina has 0.05 PPM Fluoride according to the USDA National Fluoride Database of Selected Beverages and Foods. See this link:

Compare that with the average 1 PPM that is added to the water supply.

EC: That's an excellent link, thanks! Please note however that the USDA chart was published in 2004.

The best information on fluoride you will ever hear is at the bottom of the websiteMaeBrussell.com. Dr. John Lee, Dr. John Yiamouyannis, Dr. Phyllis Mullenix, and Joanie Greggains give you the history, health effects, origins, and reasons why this toxic industrial waste product is banned in most countries of the world. The audio is 75 minutes long which fits perfectly on a regular audio cd. You might consider burning hundreds of cds and circulating them around your community. The pro-fluoridationists will have a much more difficult time doing their job when surrounded by an informed public. Good luck.

Fluoride poisoning. I have been using the bloody poisonous steroid, Seretide Evohaler with the rotten Fluticasone (fluoride) in it for 30 years. True, I am just using one puff – 250 mcg but nevertheless it has screwed my brain and joints etc. The companion Ventolin relaxes the bronchial muscles plus relaxes the muscles at the base of the tongue and so – the tongue flops over the windpipe when you sleep and you stop breathing. Sleep Apnea. Most terrifying experience I have ever had. I don't sleep on my back anymore. Aren't doctors, drugs & hospitals lovely? John

I am hoping you will start a new supplements section on iodine. Also another section on maybe causes of ailments, like fluoride and the problems it causes. Here is my story about fluoride, iodine, and thyroid....

I first noticed my husbands goiter close to 6 months ago, at that time it had become quite noticeable and was indeed very large. Obviously concerned for his health he went to see his doctor, who referred him to an endocrinologist, who then referred him to a surgeon. Strangely enough they told him his blood levels were normal and he didn't have a thyroid condition.... interesting since he has this giant goiter on his neck. lol

At the time there was so little that I knew about thyroid disease and I didn't have much interest in it, I was concerned for my husband but thought that surgery was the only option. Then my husband began to have panic attacks after my daughter was born, and at home no less (I now understand it to also cause and fluctuation of the thyroid hormone)! I honestly thought it was a mind over matter and went searching online to prove that he just needed to stop scaring himself. Instead what I found was that his panic attacks were actually caused by the goiter. Because I had my daughter at home without a midwife, just me him and my mother (planned it that way ; ) I had already learned a few natural remedies, while looking up honey and the wonderful benefits of it I also learned of coconut oil, though I only learned about it being good for pimples. I was interested in purchasing some coconut oil online and that's when I found some of the most amazing information. The site selling it said it helped with thyroid conditions, I wasn't going to believe them, after all they were selling it they would say anything to sell their product right? So I looked up thyroid forums and testimonies regarding the use of coconut oil and sure enough I found out that it was indeed beneficial to his thyroid. Well I ran out to the store and bought some the next day, in the car my husband was exhausted and began to have a panic attack and I told him to take some coconut oil, he only had a 1/4 of a teaspoon and ten minutes later his attack had subsided and he felt energized! After this experiment, we continued treatment and slowly worked up to 3tblspns a day where he's at now. After that revelation and since we had his attacks under control (and in fact after taking it for a week he no longer even experienced an attack) I went back online to find out what we needed to do to shrink his goiter. That's when I learned about iodine and how important it is and how many people are deficient and thus many are hypothyroid and even still many are undiagnosed with hypothyroidism. I also learned about what counteracts iodine, like soy which is a big one since it is in just about all prepackaged foods. When I found out how important iodine was for the thyroid and how the thyroid makes hormones for your whole body I became interested in what else iodine deficiency was responsible for, And do you know what I found? Lots! Here is a sight that lists all the symptoms of iodine deficiency...

But first, after realizing that my husbands thyroid was caused by a change in his diet, I began racking my brain thinking of what on earth has changed over the past year. I've been trying to figure it out for the past couple months and today I found it.

During our big change to all, well almost all, things healthy, I remembered reading about people using toothpaste that doesn't have fluoride in it.. I looked online for the reason why and WOW, what I found is shocking! Fluoride also counteracts iodine, it inhibits the uptake of iodine to your thyroid and we both know (at least by now) how important adequate amounts of iodine are to your thyroid. So I told my sister about it and she said that she didn't think we had fluoridated water, so I searched for the cities that had it in OC and that's when I came across this article ( http://www.ocregister.com/article/water-fluoride-county-1924513-muir-doctors ). I told my sister what I'd found out and how the time they added fluoride pretty much coincided with the onset of my husbands goiter and the worsening of his thyroid (I believe he has been hypothyroid for a long time as have I and my mother based on the symptoms) and my sister said that she has experienced a worsening of her asthma over the past year!

I am interested in asking friends of mine who have symptoms of iodine deficiency whether they experienced and increase or decrease in their symptoms over the last year (without divulging anything till they have answered so that my findings are not biased) I will report back later with some of my findings, but I am interested if anyone else has experienced similar problems after their area had been fluoridated.

Borax helped me detox from fluoride. I didn't have fluoride poisoning, exactly, but my thyroid wasn't working well -- I only realised this years later, after things got REALLY bad & I was at long last diagnosed. The dr said I had an auto-immune disease, my immune system was attacking my thyroid. he said the thing to do was supplement the thyroid. I thought "why not try to balance the immune system?" but I didn't say anything.

Thanks to Ted's hint about borax, I am feeling better. In fact at times I have to stop & un-do some of my improvements, because I need my medicine lowered & the dr won't lower it yet.

what has helped me, very much, is:
eliminate all sources of fluoride; so , drink pure water, switch toothpaste, & cook from scratch using pure water.... avoid foods that cause trouble for the thyroid: peanut butter, broccoli/cabbage/etc.... avoid foods that OVERstimulate my immune system -- it is already over active so I sure don't need it more active! I rarely have oranges or other citrus any more.
When I do, I have that muscle-spams again, that I used to have all the time; I have to be sure to have anything like citrus, in the morning, & at night be certain I don't forget the borax, or else I will have restless legs at night. I find that taking selenium really helps. It helps balance my immune system. ...I also take kelp, about 1 or 2 capsules a day...and vitamin D. ...also, I did start adding iodine into my drinking water that I drink at night, and sometimes I apply it to my skin on my inner wrists (it's absorbed there). When I am doing everything , I stay well.

I don't know if my medicine contains fluoride. I hope not, but I am going to ask the pharmacist.

Fluoride as a wonderful thing is not nearly the worst scam in the world. It should be added that fluoride, in small repetitive doses over time, such as using toothpaste with fluoride for years, destroys a certain area of the brain that makes the person more easily controllable. This is an example of how governments keep the masses from revolting. As for the REAL cause behind Lyme disease and all other related diseases, such as chronic fatigue syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, AIDS, etc. Check out the following link: http://nationallymereport.com/?p=113

Go ahead and research that this link is truth and not some conspiracy theory. Check out U.S. Patent #5242820.

Thanks to all for the info on Borax and related.

I was experiencing vaginal itching for almost 2 years trying to find something that would help. What finally did it for me is eliminating tap water for drinking and washing. I believe the problem is fluoride although all of the rest of the toxins in tap water probably contribute. Within 2 days of switching to distilled water the itch went away.

Everything you have ever known or heard about Fluoride is false. Fluoridated water is the biggest scam ever pulled on the WORLD and is killing and sickining people everywhere..

I have been sick since 97 My symptoms did not start all at once but became progressivly worse until the present.

Symptoms:
blurry vision - on and off not continously. got new glasses just
before I went for last MRI reading. Also looked for ICP by looking at
optic disc.

leg pains - hip, shoulder joints - I can't cross my legs - feels like
my joints are coming apart

muscle cramps and charley horses in calfs and arch of feet

mental confusion -short term memory - seems I really have to work at
remembering daily stuff

Headaches ( frontal)_ worse as day goes on

dizziness, like an airpane ride , disconnected , sometimes feels like
I am 3 feet off the ground or I am sitting sideways up on the wall -
no spinning vertigo

Brain fog - I suspect this is what alhzimers must feel like

tinnitus,-
otolaringologist says I have low frequency hearing loss

irritability - lashing out at family for no apparent reason
lack of concentration

can't sleep - up at 3-4 am and can't get back to sleep

Need to lie down in the afternoon - exhausted - feels like I am in a
comotose state - at times I can hear what is happening around me but
I can't respond

Getting fine tremmors in legs & eyelid

Dysphagia - throat feels swollen , hard to swallow at times - THROAT
GOES OPEN AND CLOSED -worse after exercise

cold hands & feet at times - cold all over at times

profuse sweating - sometimes I sweat like a pig for 15 min. after a
shower

No appitite - constant nausea - lots of bread & milk

muscle weakness & myalgic pain moving all the time

Lower back pain and neck pain comes and goes I don't think itis
linked to exercise

hands and heels really hurt at times

electric like shocks in left leg ( thigh, sometimes in feet and toes)
worst ones happen while I am
lying on couch watching TV - doubled over in pain

Fatigue is increadible - last two hours and consider it a good day!

Gums bleed , had periodontal disease

bone loss in jaw,- according to periodontist and dentist

teeth feel loose, USED TO BE ABLE TO WIGGLE THEM WITH MY TONGUE ,

drooling at times

Soft stools all the time -almost diarrhea

Getting pins and needles on chest and back after a hot shower and hot
days and exercise - started after surgery i think

Itching on arms and waist especially after a hot shower but other
times too

Seems like all this happens after I eat!!! things get worse and also
after exercise

chest pain in ribs on right side, then on left side

Heels really hurt as do my "heels " of my hands

longitudal ridges on finger/toe nails

History ( very brief- this is just the tip of the iceburg)

self diagnosed Chiari Malformation - my brains are swelling into my
spinal column - had decompression surgery in 2000 - symptoms
continued and worsened

self diagnosed Heavy metal poisoning - challenge test showed lead
mercury etc. - this was according to a holistic doctor and allopathic
doctors do not recognize these results. Chelated with DMSA - numbers
came down- still sick - then 10 weeks of EDTA IV thearpy - still sick.

Rhum. Doc diagnosis of Fibromyalgia - 6/02

self diagnosed Fluoride Poisoning - may 2002- one night I got sick
after dinner - and a couple of days later I thought back about what I
did different that nite - I drank three glasses of city water at that
meal instead of milk. Fluoride calcium seeks and makes it less toxic.

I did my own blind tests - I can pick out F water EVERY time - my
daughter can tell by my eyes if I have had 3 glasses of water!

I have confronted docs with this - Some look at me like I'm from
outer space, some belittle me, others just laugh.
My neurologist looked at me wide eyed and ordered serum and urine
fluoride tests. He never called me back. I went and got copies 3
weeks later and both were ELEVATED - my blood levels are 10x normal -
he has NOT dx me or schedualed another appmt.
Romhatoligist dx me with fibromyalgia and then I told her about
Fluoride - she doesn't want to see me again!

I found Dr. Myra Preston PHD - of SIBER IMAGING who has a patented
method of dx CFIDS through QEEG. I did before and after tests
dirnking my city water and I think I now have proof that F causes
brain damage in humans and is one of the causes of these "mysterious
syndromes" CFS,FM,GWS, MCS etc.
I scanned the report and will send it to you in another private
email if you wish, as it is 8 pages long.
Please give feed back if you can. I am willing to take this document
to court and start the fight against Fluorodation. I think this could
be the straw that breaks the camels back.

TEST RESULTS FROM DR PRESTON

Mine are unusual as I did two tests because my fluoronated city water
was making me sick. First test after staying away from as much F as
possible for 2 weeks - second test after drinking my city water for
24 hours.

Highlights:

tested positive for all four variables to be classified as CFIDS
patient on both tests

Impression: RGE's QEEG prior to drinking water was abnormal. The
abnormalities are primarly in the ratios to total brain activation.
the prominence of slow wave activity is recorded in the delta and
theta frequencies. The lack of beta activity alsorepresents an
abnormal finding.

Following the exposure to water, RGE's delta activity increased,
theta activity decreased... Performance on these tests declined
sharply from the pre-to post water drinking... total brain function
declined in the post-water drinking QEEG.

Conclusions: Extremely abnormal QEEG due to the diffuse delta and
theta activity and the lack of brain activation in the beta range in
the frontal and temporal regions. This pattern correlates with the
patients report of severe cognitive loss. Abnormalities such as these
correlate with the limbic system and immune dysfunction, the fatigue,
the cognitive problems. It is important to note that the pre-water
evaluationwas quite abnormal, confirming the chronicity of the
patients illiness. The post-water drinking decline correlates with
the patients history of fluoride poisoning. Exposure to this toxin
exacerbated the neurophysiological disruption. ...

... RGE clearly exhibits diffuse brain dysfunction, which typically
results from a widespread condition such as a metabolic disease
including heavy metal poisoning. This indicates a neurotoxic
poisoning. Fluoride is a neurotoxin that acts on postsynaptic
receptors. This neurotoxic condition correlates with the disrupted
brain physiology and the secondary development od Chronic Fatigue
Immune Dysfinction and Fibromyalgia Syndrome.

Have gotten so weak and struggling. Been looking for somewhere to test my urine. Small town and local city officials just decided to add it to our water after voters said NO....so can't find anywhere close that I would trust to test it (lots of back pocket money spent). Any ideas out of Wyoming I could send it for testing? That is only change I can come up with. I did have my water tested and it was with guidelines for everthing. I am very grateful to Earthclinic for bringing fluoride poisoning to my attention. I had not been aware of a fluoride abundance in my body until I viewed the postings.'Fluoride wasn't the only toxic exposure crippling my life. In addition I have bismuth poisoning. Both elements, portrayed as innocent by pharmaceutical companies, but are in fact extremely toxic. My fluoride and bismuth came from over the counter and prescription drugs. I've successfully leached the fluoride but the bismuth is quite difficult to bond with and so I am still having health issues described in the below text.

The reference book Toxicology Desk Reference: The Toxic Exposure and Medical Monitoring Index, is kept in most universities and medical research facilities across the United States. Some pages of the Toxicology reference book may be accessed on the Internet by the public, but some pages are kept hidden. Pages regarding Fluoride were hidden.

Toxicology Desk Reference: The Toxic Exposure and Medical Monitoring Index
Fifth Edition (1999-2000)

Page 198
Bismuth

Hematological-The hematological effect caused by bismuth is methemoglobinemia, which can occur from exposure to bismuth subnitrate.
The definition and symptoms associated with methemoglobinemia include: the oxidized form of hemoglobin, in which the iron atom is trivalent, and which is not able to combine reversibly with oxygen. Formation of large amounts of methemoglobin prevents the normal function of hemoglobin, that of transporting oxygen in the body thus causing asphyxia of the tissues. When large amounts are present, the blood becomes chocolate-brown in color varying in intensity from lilac to a deep leaden hue, and quite different from the bluish-purple color of cyanosis due to a lack of oxygen. This distinctive tint is most noticeable on the cheeks, ears, tip of the nose, and fingernails. Sensation of weakness in the knees and a staggering gait follow. If destruction of the red blood cells is severe, anemia occurs and there may also be injuries to the kidney and liver. Jaundice and enlargement of the spleen may occur.

Page 706
Fluoride

HEENT-The HEENT effect caused by fluoride include: eye irritation; and dental caries, teeth loss, and teeth pigmentation, all of which may occur from chronic fluorosis.
Hematological-The hematological effect caused by fluoride is hyperkalemia and hypocalcemia.
Neurological-The neurological effects caused by fluoride include: hyperactive reflexes, skeletal muscle excitability, and painful spasms, all of which are felt to occur due to decreases in blood calcium.
Cardiovascular-The cardiovascular effect caused by fluoride is onset of cardiac arrhythmias, which can occur as a result of hyperkalemia.
Respiratory-The respiratory effects caused by fluoride include: Irritation to the lungs and mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract; bronchospasm; and pulmonary edema.
Renal-The renal effect caused by fluoride is renal failure, which has been seen with chronic exposure.
Musculoskeletal-The musculoskeletal effect caused by fluoride is skeletal fluorosis, which can occur from chronic exposure. Symptoms of fluorosis include: joint pain, ossifications on x-ray, brittle bones, and calcified ligaments, alsong with other crippling changes.

I had been treated with zithromax for pneumonia but what seemed to trigger the severe, sudden onset of reflux was taking 200mg of ibuprofen twice within the week for pain in my neck during that time. The ibuprofen caused a gastric ulcer since I had been on periodic courses of prednisone earlier for acute asthma which resolved after seven weeks of antibiotics.' When I got the pneumonia I had no asthma but a high fever, fatigue and pain in the neck. Steroids can cause ulcers but I didn't think the effect would last that long as I was not taking any at the time. I woke up choking at night with reflux and started protonix. Stopped after about one year and since use digestive enzymes, honey, camomile, ACV with baking soda. Caution: Prevacid ia a fluoridated medication. Along with the reflux, I began severe hypothyroid symptoms I believe caused by Diflucan and Advair which are both fluoridated. Have been doing the borax detox twice a week and have reduced thyroid medication from 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 gr Armour.

Giving up tooth-paste was the best thing I could have done for my teeth and gums. Amazing how quickly I went from wanting to have all my teeth pulled to never giving them a second thought... just giving up fluoride.

I am sure that my life-long knee pain is fluoride related as the doctors find nothing abnormal in xrasys. Yet, there is no denying the pain, weakness, and swelling. Crippling at times. After giving up most fluoride for two months the bones still hurt though. I can only hope this is reversable.

There are plenty here in Cincinnati that would be willing to help with chelation, colonics, neurotransmitter restoration or the like. But why not try something inexpensive and accessible like the Borax? And get reverse osmosis in your house, clearing up your water supply, replacing your toothpast, avoiding green tea, prescription drugs w/flouride are first steps..

Hanna Kroeger developed an herbal tea, its called Fluoride Tea, it literally saved my life and sanity 20+ years ago, I had some dental work done at a dental college where they gave me "fluoride treatments" for peridontial disease. Shortly after these treatments, developed what I call my brain swelling inside my skull or my skull was shrinking, extreme fatigue, brain "fog"...etc. I was told about a health food store and I went there, the proprieter, a former nurse, knew immediately when I told her of my symmptoms what was wrong, she sold me the Kroeger Tea with instructions on how to consume it... 4 cups spaced over my waking hours each day. I made a quart a day. My symptoms had diminshed almost to nothing within a week. We have a two stage water filter in our kitchen, one is for chlorine and the other for fluoride. It has made a huge difference in our lives, also use a non-fluoridated toothpaste.

What about your shower/bath water? Fluoride is easily absorbed by the skin.

Thanks so much for the information about the Fluoride Tea! I can't believe how well this stuff works. I'm hypersensitive to fluoride and so many things hurt me when I try to pull out fluoride, but this did it well and did not poison me from pulling too much. Love it!

Hey EC... Does anyone know if there is a home test you can use to check your drinking water for fluoride. I have a feeling my water has flouride and I am scared cause I have thyroid issues and I know this is not good for this condition. Please help someone!!!!

... All yo have to do is call your water company and ask if they add flouride to you water.... They will tell you. You can ask for the yearly report to be mailed to you indicating just what is in your water the last time it was tested also.

If you are on well water, then there shouldn't be fluoride in it, as it is added by the municipal water supply? I think.

ALSO - There is a website called findaspring.com. It lists all of the natural springs in the US where you can go and get natural spring (live) water... you might want to look into that also.

Good luck!

Fluoride Test Kits
Posted by Deirdre (Atlanta, Ga, Usa) on 07/18/2010

Does anyone have any experience using fluoride test strips or a fluoride testing kit/meter to determine fluoride levels in drinking water and other beverages? After reading some articles on the web last night, I decided I would like to start testing our tea and water. We have one particular loose leaf ceylon tea that I have the feeling has fluoride levels off the charts.

Source: http://toxipedia.org/display/toxipedia/Fluoride Content in Tea

..."Tea infusion readily releases Fluoride from tea leaves into water. As such, it is considered a significant dietary source of Fluoride (Lu, et al., 2004). Studies from certain countries have found teas containing 0.03 ppm-25.7 ppm Fluoride (Szpir, 2005). Alongside consideration of when leaves are harvested relative to the growth of the tea plant and which leaves are selected for a particular tea, processing can be another determinant in Fluoride content of the final tea product. One study done in Taiwan found tea packaged in teabags had higher Fluoride concentrations in infusions than loose leaf teas (Lung, et al., 2003)."

re FDA Regulation

"...The current FDA regulation standard for fluoride levels in beverages and bottled water is 1.4-2.4 ppm (US FDA, 2006). Certain American brand teas have been found to exceed the standard amount (Rao, 1984). Studies from other countries have also found their local teas to contain fluoride levels higher than the recommended amounts (Lung, et al., 2003 and Tokalioglu, et al., 2004)."

Another excellent source of info on fluoride content in various foods, beverages and toothpastes: http://www.fluoridealert.org/f-sources.htm

Regarding fluoride test strips and kits... here are some products I found on Google Shopping. I just don't know which one would be best... any ideas? Thanks!

Hello! I too, am searching for a good but inexpensive water tester. I did ask around but beside telling me that the "hanna" tester has a good reputation, I am not more informed and I am joining you in the search, here is one of many for comments:

Hello all you tech savvy wonderful people! Can you suggest a fluid tester? Thanks in advance.

I can recommend a few directions for you to go to for fluoride testing. If you will email me, I'll be happy to share the info with you!

EC: Hi Addy,

Thanks for the offer. Can you post your suggestions here so that all may see? Thanks.

I saw that someone has already mentioned Hannah Instruments on a previous post. I know of them but not much else.
Contact either Fisher Scientific (www.fishersci.com) or VWR Scientific (www.vwrsp.com). They both carry products for Fluoride testing.
If you choose to measure by electrode/meter:
Denver Instruments (www.denverinstrument.com), ThermoScientific (www.thermoscientific.com),
Mettler Toledo (www.us.mt.com) and WTW (www.wtw.com).

Other: commercial testing labs
Analytical Serivces Inc. Norcross, GA. Test America Norcross, GA (?)
or Check local Yellow Pages
I hope this helps.
