Hi Ted I am trying hard to come off prescription drugs. I have psoriatic arthritis, underactive thyroid, high colestrel. I used your reflux remedy and am now cured. Thankyou for that. The main problem is the joint pain which I have been taking msm 1,500 mg a day but the only pain killer that works is 440 mg twice a day for the pain and inflammation I have even purchased DMSO to apply topically but have only been using it for a couple of days. Any advice from you would be greatly appreciated. Your work is really appreciated Thanks again.

I am suggesting this because I have had great personal success with it, as have others: Serrapeptase. This stuff 'eats' inflammation and pain, and will clear out any dead tissue in the body - meaning arterial/coronary plaque, cysts, endometriosis, COPD, edema, scar tissue... Its uses are quite extensive. Surprised that I haven't seen it quoted extensively on this site.

Can I mix hydrogen peroxide with mineral water instead of distilled water, as per posts? I've been on ACV recipe for 4 months now because of my hiatal hernia.. A week ago I was rushed to ER cuz I could hardly breath.. After my paranasal CT-scan, x-ray & blood tests, doctors found I have sinusitis, pneumonia and hypothyroidism. I spent 5 days in the hospital. My ENT said my sinusitis is just mild. My internal doctor said pneumonia is gone so they gave me okay to go home. But until now I'm still having hard time breathing. Doctor said it is only because I have already developed an ASTHMA due to my sinusitis and pneumonia. I dont know whats happening, as if im lacking oxygen. Doctors gave me Tergecef and Eltroxin as my home medicines..

EC, you helped me the first time with my hialtal hernia and I need all your help again this time. I am really frustrated cuz I cant go bck to work with this health condition... Thank you EC & to everyone sharing on your GOD sent site...

Dear lanie: While reading yr post, I couldn't help but remember myself in a similar situation when I was diagnosed with hypothyroid about a year ago. I too had extreme difficulty breathing to the point where I couldn't walk across my hallway. I swear this is the most frightening thing I have ever experienced. My doctors couldn't give me answers so I sought them myself. What I found was that this is normal with this type of illness because of insufficient oxygen to go around. The good news is that once you start treatment, and yr thyroid levels get back to normal which can take a few months, yr breathing would be fine, at least for me it was not a hundred percent, but way better than what it was without treatment. Hope this helps.

Also, read all the thyroid posts right here on EC. There's a wealth of info at yr fingertips so make use of it. What I find about this disorder is that the more educated you are about it, the more chance you have of living a normal life. God bless,

Hi C... There is not much I can recommend for you other than to avoid a self-damaging diet and to break bad habits. This will depend on your own will power and determenation to get well. All we can really do is lend encouragement and help support you.

Here is the diet I would recommend, which is an anti-candida diet and which is very similar to an anti-cancer diet designed mainly to gently detox your body and boost your immune system. Basically it is an elimination diet. :

Diet

1. Absolutely NO SUGAR. No ifs or buts here -- if you really want to get rid of yeast etc -- it starts here, this is a must!! You can use Stevia as a natural sweetner instead.

2. No junk food allowed.

3. No vegetable oil in the diet. Vegetable oil oxidizes fairly quickly on the shelf and very rapidly at high heat. Most vegetable oils are also now made from an unnatural chemical process. Better to use virgin coconut oil for cooking -- this is a very stable oil that is very good for you. When I had candida and started taking coconut oil, my bad constipation and bloating issues disappeared in about two weeks. VCO is very healthy for your body and intestines. I only cook with VCO now and VCO has actually helped me to lose weight.

4. No soda pop. Apart from the sugar, soda drinks also contain carbonic and phosophoric acids and use high fructose corn oil -- all of which acidifies and weakens your body and encourages yeast, fungus and other pathogens in the body.

5. No Sweeteners allowed -- no aspartame, sucralose or saccharine. These particularly are what cause cravings due to nerve damage which can lead to hormonal imbalances and unnatural cravings.

6. Eat only white meat like chicken or fish in small amounts and avoid all red meats.

7. No baking products like bread, cakes pastries etc. In the 70s or 80s the FDA, in their wisdom, allowed the use of bromide and bromates in bread-making and baking instead of iodine. Bromine weakens the immune system and also encourages pathogen growth.

8. Include using a handful of chopped coriander leaf in a salad three times a week and drink green tea every day. Ted from Bangkok has said that doing this for a month will remove most heavy metals successfully from your body.

9. No canned products in the diet. Bisphenol A -- or BPA -- is contained in all plastic linings of canned products and is very bad for you. Upsets hormone balance and weakens the immune system.

10. No Calcium which means no dairy products -- no milk, cheese, yoghurt, cream etc. Avoid calcium fortified foods. Excess calcium encourages acidity and thereby aids the spread of candida.

11. No Monosodium Glutamate(MSG) allowed. This means that all soy products made from a chemical process -- including soy sauce, tofu etc are not allowed. Avoid all products with added MSG. But any soy products made from the natural fermentation process are OK and allowed in small amounts only.

12. Avoid distilled water and tap-water. Distilled water is "dead water" -- it completely lacks any important body minerals that natural spring-water contains. Tap-water nowadays -- due to water shortages -- is now re-cycled and chemically processed from sewage(especially in cities), so Lord only knows what evil goodies tap-water contains. Enough said I think. Drink fresh mineral or spring water or create your own mineral water instead.

12. Try and avoid all (chemically) processed food if you can. Read food labels. Try and eat foods that are made from natural processes without excess heating or use of chemicals/pesticides.

14. When you eat food, don't always rush and over-stuff yourself, as this leads to poor, inefficient digestion and acid intestines. There is always a lag from when you feel hungry to when you are satisfied but if you eat too fast, this is not good for you. Eat your food slower and drink plenty of water at mealtimes for proper digestion. The Chinese -- and Okinawans -- normally eat until they feel 70-80% full, then they stop. This is also good simple dietary practice.

Dear Ted, blood and tissues are alkaline hence surprise when PH paper shows morning saliva regularly at 5.8. How can that be? (Im in severe pain!!! )

Ive tried your alkaline remedies but I have high sodium I think from cortisol replacement (I have addisons). When taking baking soda or sea salt I'm in worse pain, cant move for days. Could I use potassium & mg (if I also have mg poisoning in my tissues)? Could I take these with my ascorbic acid tablets - would the combination make them less acidic. I just have so many of them that cost me a lot of money. Again, I cant buy sodium or ca ascorbate - they both make the pain worse. Medications no doubt make me acidic, ascorbic acid of course is acidic, acv?, diet is fairly alkaline, would viruses be making me acidic?

Ted, I have flat feet, when they hit the floor in the morning are excruciating for hours! I have a slow thyroid OR circulation? (my arteries are also blocked with all this ca) - it couldnt just be flat feet, could it? Just trying to get any of this pain DOWN.

My boyfriend was suffering from severe abdominal pain for nearly 2 days. He had two prior "attacks" months earlier that we beleived were something to do with his gallbladder. He went to the ER afer hours of vomiting and sever abdominal pain. They ran blood tests, cat scan, x-ays, and ultrasound. Finaly we were told that he had gastritis, an inflamed gallbadder and also a low t-cell count. He was prescribed Nexium. I am very concerned about the low t-cell count. Thet did not tell us the count.I would like to know if anyone has a clue as to why the t-cell count could be low? He does not currently have health insurance so he is unable to see a Dr. right now. I would just like a possible cause to put my mind to rest until then.

High Blood Pressure, Arrythmia

Posted by Samantha (Bridgeport, Ct) on 11/28/2011

Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out how to treat HBP and arrythmia together. I've been taking molasses to regulate the heart rhythm somewhat, but it has little effect on lowering BP. I've been thinking about adding some other ingredients to the mixture. From what I have read so far, I am leaning towards magnesium and cayenne pepper as a cure for my condition. The only thing that concerns me is the compatibility of the three. Does anyone know if it is safe to take molasses, magnesium, and cayenne pepper at the same time?

Samantha, molasses HAS magnesium in it, so a bit more doesn't seem to be incompatible to me. I do take a bit of cayenne in my molasses drink with no undesired effects. So all in all, it would seem safe to mix the 3.

Hookworm Therapy

Posted by T (Maryland, USA) on 05/21/2009

Hookworms as treatment for allergies, asthma, and autoimmune diseases...

This is one of those things that will bring an automatic resistance from most people (understandably!), but once again we see that nature holds the keys. If you can get past the squeamish factor, this really is intriguing:

-----------

http://wjz.com/watercooler/hookworm.treatment.therapy.2.1015550.html

Capsulated version of the story in case the link later disappears:

In the developed world, there has been a steady increase in allergies, inflammatory bowel diseases and autoimmune diseases such as Type 1 Diabetes and multiple sclerosis. Some wonder if we're too clean for our own good.

...[Dr. Boushey] talks about a theory called the "Hygiene Hypothesis" and wonders if there is something about getting down and dirty early in life that's beneficial to a developing immune system. For proof, Dr. Boushey said look no further than the human body, which is jam-packed with microbes. He explains how our bodies are kind of like Muni buses, crammed with the organisms, saying "there are more bacterial cells in us than there are 'us' cells in us." Dr. Boushey said co-existing with these microscopic creatures may help maintain a healthy immune system. With that in mind, a growing number of Americans are choosing to co-exist with creatures often found in the human gut and dirt.

Jasper Lawrence is one of them. He used to suffer from debilitating allergies and asthma which he says wrecked his life. On a visit home to England, his aunt commented on his appearance. Lawrence had gained weight thanks to the medications he needed to take. He felt fatigued and sick. Then Lawrence saw a documentary that changed his life. The documentary was on helminthic therapy. The therapy involves infecting humans with hookworms or helminths. Once the hookworm sets up shop in the human, the creature secretes a chemical that appears to dampen down the immune response and alleviate allergies and asthmas.

Lawrence tried to secure helminths through a doctor and on websites but to no luck. He finally decided to get infected the old-fashioned way. He would walk barefoot across the open fields of Western Africa, where, thanks to no modern sanitation, he would hopefully pick up some hookworm larvae. He was successful, explaining that you know when a hookworm gets into you. "When a person first gets infected," Lawrence explained, "You get an itch at the site where they first enter the skin. You may cough. And feel fatigued and experience a little diarrhea."

Once he was home, his allergies and asthma disappeared. He then got the idea to help others, by providing the hookworms over the internet.

...One beneficiary is 36-year-old Todd Troutman who works in the high tech field. Before he tried hookworms, Troutman suffered from severe allergies and asthma since early childhood. His allergy attacks were so severe, he moved to environments where there were few trees and grasses.

Troutman found Jasper's story on the web and contacted him through his company. To infect himself, Todd applied a band aid on his arm. On the gauze was hookworm larvae. They then entered his body through his skin. He said his allergies and asthma have finally gone away. But, he cautions, you can accidentally kill the hookworms, and then the problems flare up again. He once had oral surgery, and the anesthesia apparently killed the helminths.

As for the cold hard evidence that this therapy works? Researchers at the University of Nottingham conducted a study in 2006. The study involved 30 participants who suffered from severe chronic allergies.

Half of the volunteers were infected with 10 hookworms. Tests showed their t-cells began to produce much lower levels of the chemicals associated with an inflammatory response. The volunteers also raved about the allergy symptoms disappearing.

...Dr. Boushey believes these helminths may be secreting a chemical that dampens down the immune system response, so the immune system chills out. If that's true, helminthic therapy may have applications for other immune system disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and even inflammatory bowel diseases. However, until he sees more rigorous studies, Dr. Boushey reminds us that hookworms are parasites, and they can cause problems, like anemia. The other concern: that the therapy is experimental and not regulated by the FDA.

That doesn't bother Todd. He has no regrets about the treatment.

-----

I found Jasper's site:

http://autoimmunetherapies.com/

FAQ: http://autoimmunetherapies.com/helminthic_therapy_FAQ.html

Here is another article on an earlier researcher of this same therapy (link is to the New York Times site but was very long, so I TinyURL'd it):

http://tinyurl.com/pgdlyc

"There's a lot of evidence that allergy is just the immune system going a little over the top," he said. "The worms are just turning down the volume."

Based on his results, Dr. Maizels said Pritchard's work looked promising. "I think it's quite likely the hookworms will have a similar effect on the human immune system," he said.

Some scientists say Dr. Pritchard is walking a fine ethical line by infecting patients with a parasite known to risk hosts' health. Peter Hotez, a microbiologist at George Washington University who is developing a hookworm vaccine, said the parasite was among the primary causes of stunted growth and malnutrition in developing countries.

"If a kid is infected with 25 hookworms, he's being robbed of his daily iron requirement, and because the worms suppress the immune system, they can increase the host's susceptibility to diseases like AIDS and malaria," Dr. Hotez said. "So in its current form, I think this therapy is too risky."

Still, he supports Dr. Pritchard's work from the perspective of proof of concept, saying, "The real question is could you isolate the molecules the worms are using to suppress the immune system and use them for therapeutic purposes?"

Because of the potential side effects, Dr. Pritchard does not envision thousands of patients lined up at clinics to receive parasites along with flu shots.

"The worst-case scenario would be to cause damage," he said. "I'm nervous about deliberate infection, but I feel that my hypothesis should be tested rigorously."

His long-term goal, he added, is to figure out exactly how the worms turn down the immune-system radar, so he can borrow the tactics to develop alternatives to immune-suppressant and allergy-fighting drugs. "We're looking at the molecular mechanisms the worms are using, and we're hoping to find molecules that veer the immune response away from allergy," he said.

A new class of drugs that mimics worms' effects on the immune system could also potentially treat Crohn's disease, arthritis and other autoimmune conditions.

Though he eventually hopes to eliminate hookworms entirely from his allergy treatment, Dr. Pritchard has few qualms about venturing where no parasite researcher has gone before.

"I gave myself 50 worms, and I felt it," he recounted. "I had stomach pains and diarrhea. But with 10 worms, we've ascertained a dose that does not cause symptoms. The patients are happy. They've kept their worms, and I get an e-mail a day from people all over the world who want to be infected.

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation Therapy

Posted by Angelclare (Valencia, California) on 09/15/2009

I'm considering the inhalation therapy for my many problems. I know that I have Cytomeglavirus, Human Herpes 6 Virus, and Epstein-Barre Virus. Right now I am having trouble breathing, a lot of shortness of breath when I speak, and wound up in the ER with Atrial Fibrillation.

Would the H2O2 kill these viruses? Thanks for any input. I know that I used to feel better when I used DMG, which I think oxygenates the blood. I do feel oxygen starved.

I just wanted to share my morning recipe. I've been drinking this for 30 days with great results. Clearer skin, better mood and energy, lower blood pressure and improved digestion. My blood work was excellent! Anyway, I figured all the ingredients I've been researching would make for a great morning mix. This is what I drink EVERY morning...

1 or 2 garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1 tbsp ACV (braggs; apple cider vinegar)
1 tbsp flaxseed oil with lignan
1 cup vegetable juice (I use Bolthouse Farms "Vedge")
fresh lime juice (optional)

I mix everything but the juice in my food processor. Once the garlic is minced then I add the juice. Warning this is spicy but it tastes like a blood mary.....CHEERS! To your health!

THEN! I have my "breakfast"
1 cup blueberries or mixed berries
1 cup Bolthouse "purple carrot" juice blend
1 tbsp raw honey
1 packet Emergenc vitamin c blend

mix in a blender and YUM!

So, before I leave the house I have had all my veggies and fruits and feel ready to conquer the world! I'm 42, a vegetarian (6 months) have two children, one has autism and I teach 6th grade...I need to have my energy and health. My daughter teases me and says I'm a walking antioxidant. Blessings to all. I love this site! Marisa

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2005. They removed half of it then, due to my levels being off the charts and also due to having large nodules. Now, my TSH level is 0.50 and my Free T4 is 1.05. I take 75 mcg of levothyroxine daily. My cholesterol is 222. I decreased my level from 246 to 222 in 2 months by eating allot healthier. I also take Latuda 80 mg for mood, depression and insomnia, Abilify 30 mg for motor tics, gabapentin 800 2 x daily for anxiety, Lithium 300 2 x daily for bipolar. I was diagnosed with major depression and generalized anxiety disorder in 1994 and later on, after long drug use (I have been sober since August 2014), I was diagnosed with drug induced bipolar disorder and drug induced ADHD. I also have PTSD. Despite taking all of these pharmaceuticals, I still have symptoms of depression and slight anxiety. I also feel sluggish and unmotivated most of the day. I started taking supplements for motor tics as follows: magnesium citrate 500 mg, magnesium malate 100 mg 3 x daily, omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, zinc 50 mg, b-complex, vitamin c-1000. They have made my motor tics almost completely go away altogether. What a releif and I have had them since I was 7. They also help my anxiety. I take 2 teaspoons of ACV three times daily. Cinnamon, Cayenne pepper, Turmeric, Maca root powder, coacoa powder, and beet root powder all go in my daily smoothie for depression. I have diarrhea and nausea on a daily basis especially if I eat bad fats or dairy. I don't want to be on pharmaceuticals but my doctor will not ween me off right now. He is doing genetic tests to see which anti depressants will be most effective. He is also testing for the methylfolate gene mutation I beleive it's called. I asked my medical doctor to do a complete thyroid panel but he refuses. He says since my TSH is fine everything else is fine. I also asked them to test for Candida. They will not. I know I can do these tests on my own but they are pricey. I'm going to switch doctors but for the time being what can I do now for all of these symptoms? The depression and sluggish feeling is my biggest complaint. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just over three years ago, I became unwell with unexplained fatigue and symptoms of a neurological nature. No one was able to help me as to what could possibly be the issue. After about ten months of this, it all came to a head when after numerous misdiagnoses, I decided to abandon the conventional route and look into holistic healing. Something inside me just snapped. This is what I was guided to do and I have faith it will help others.

On a physical level:

  • Got myself a holistic functional medicine nutritionist who picked up a Parasite, Candida and other bad bugs in my gut, heavy metal load in my body and Adrenal fatigue.
  • Anti - Candida and Anti - Parasite herbs
  • 3 raw cloves of Garlic, 6 teaspoons of raw red onion a day, I also drank green tea on an empty stomach before eating anything for about a month! (i was desperate to get rid of the bugs! ) for the gut bugs
  • Ted's alkalising remedy with the lime and Bicarbonate soda for about 3 months
  • Digestive enzymes and Probiotic powders
  • Diet (this is critical): I went gluten, sugar (also no fruit or root veg, just the occasional sweet potato), dairy(except Eggs) and caffeine free (apart from green tea). Lots of green veg, gluten free grains like Millet and Quinoa, nuts, seeds and a organic vegan protein powder. I introduced legumes after I fixed my gut. I only drank filtered water, herbal teas, green juice/smoothies (daily) and Almond milk. I have been a vegetarian all my life. Prior to all this happening, I thought I had a healthy diet but it was full of sugar and processed foods.
  • Ate fat (previously I avoided fat) like organic Coconut oil, Olive oil and Pumpkin seed oil to help the gut.
  • High quality vitamins
  • Oral Gluthathione and Cellular zeolite for the heavy metal load
  • Kundalinini yoga every morning 30 minutes.
  • Discarded all mainstream personal hygiene products and makeup. I now use natural paraben, heavy metal and alcohol free products

On a spiritual level:

  • I used (and still do) EFT (emotional freedom technique) to get rid of the emotional junk. I saw an EFT practitioner which really helped.
  • I listen to my body now and do what makes me happy.
  • Positive affirmations and also acting as if I am healed helped
  • Avoided negative people/thing
  • Believing that a higher power was always going to heal me. For me, it was God.
  • Doing things that brought me joy
  • Phenomenal reduction in stress after I resigned from my corporate job.

This didn't happen overnight, it does take time. You may get die off if there are toxins in the body. Everyone is different. It's a journey.

Now, looking back I am very grateful for this experience as it has helped me appreciate my body and everything I have in my life. I am so grateful I didn't listen to conventional medicine!

Thank you for reading. Sorry for the length of this post. Good luck on your journey, sending you love and good will! You can do this!

HI U LARRY, , , , , , , , these 5 are just a start. Google Dr Sircus and learn of iodine, baking soda and magnesium. Subscribe to his free medical news letter.

For Vitamin D3, take 14,000 iu's a day and expose your skin for 20 to 30 minutes to the sun between 11am and 1pm.

For your brain take nician amide 3xD to = 3500mg. This is in the EC archives and amazing. This was proven at U of Cal Irving and the program was shut down. It's not about health, it's about money. The medical field make lots of jack off Alzheimer's. They don't want you to die , they just want you sick.

Read and when you get tired, read some more. You are responsible for your own health, not your doctor and certainly not me.

HI U NAMAY, lived in Selma for 5 years and sent 2 daughters to Auburn.

I have the same problem and suggest you buy magnesium chloride flakes and make a half gallon to put into a sprayer and coat yourself down once a day for 20 minutes. It goes through your skin transdermally . Do this before you shower.

There is also a compound of Mg that will not give you the green apple trots. It is Magnesium L-Theonate. It is patented and developed by MIT.

I still think your best bet is to do a soak before bed using a cup of epson salt, 3/4 cup of baking soda and a bottle of Hydrogen peroxide. You get this good stuff transdermally and sleep like a baby.

Wish you the best.======ORH=======

I am an 85 year old man of small frame and skinny all my life weighing 120 lbs. Since 2006 I have felt fatigued and it got worse every year. I had blood tests run, including testosterone but they all came out 'Normal'. Finally in 2011 I started losing a pound a month so that by August, I was down to 112 lbs. I discussed this with my doctor and he kept insisting that my testosterone was 'normal for a man my age. When I got down to 112 lbs, I insisted that my doctor give me an injection of Testosterone (Sustenon 250).

Aug. 2011: I got my first T shot in Aug. 2011 after losing 8 lbs. in 8 months and was down to 112 lbs with no energy. The next day I felt ten years younger with lots of energy to the amazement of all including myself and my doctor.Sept. 2012: After being on T for just over a year I was hit by the shingles which not only screwed me up but screwed up my T big time..Spring, 2013: I gave up on the T and let things settle down.

Dec. 2013: At 83 years I was feeling like crap. I had a hernia operation and it no sooner healed when another popped up. A search of the Internet told me some people are just prone to hernias. No energy and going to bed at 6 or 7 and of course my hormones were all screwed up.

Jan. 2014; RJ (Royal Jelly): I started taking RJ because two friends were taking it in place of Viagra with good results. It has not helped or harmed me in any way.

Feb. 2014; GB (Marijuana Butter): After searching the Internet for something to relieve the pain and discomfort of PHN from the shingles I made some GB and tried it. Amazing stuff! I felt much better and slept better as well with more energy. BONUS: it keeps my hernia from popping out.

Mar. 2014: COPs (Castor Oil Packs): Now that I was feeling better with the GB I noticed my GI Tract was not feeling right so I tried a COP which helped for a while but soon faded away. BONUS: My bronchitis is being held in check.

Jan. 2015: M (Metamucil): When the effects of the COP wore off I tried Metamucil and it worked fairly well. I only took it once a day, perhaps I should have tried it twice a day but I didn't like the taste of it. I gave it up after two weeks.

Feb. 2015: VD3 (Vitamin D3): Some time ago, Mike suggested I try Vitamin D3. I ordered some (50,000 IU in each capsule) and surprisingly they arrived on schedule. This has really straightened out my GI Tract. I take 1 capsule 3XW, MWF if I remember. So I'll add D3 to my list. This was also a great energy booster. I guess anything that makes you feel better will give you more energy.

May 2015: PS (Pumpkin Seeds): I have been eating PS for 3 weeks hoping they would help my prostate or my E.D. and it has not helped or hindered. I'll finish the second half kilo in 7 to 10 days because it's good nutrition. They are raw and unsalted. One inconsequential thing I just noticed is that I have much less ear wax since eating them.

May 2015: While my GI Tract feels much better, there's still something not quite right and I'm thinking along the lines of gluten intolerance or more likely Glyphosate intolerance/poisoning. So I had myself tested for both. They both came back clean, no problems.

June 2015: Cialis: At 85 years I feel much better than I have in years and I can easily stay up to 10 at night or later. I still have good REM sleep wood, my libido comes and goes, and I still have ED. I'm taking 5 mg of Cialis for my enlarged prostate which helps but I'm still looking for ways to shrink my prostate, cure my E.D. and maybe gain some muscles, so next month I am going to try T gel every other day and see what happens.
