My heart had gone haywire for 3 years my heart would race then slow down, beat so hard my entire body shook, light-headed, dizziness and pain in my chest. Saw two robotic-like cardiologists. One said PVC. The other one said, sinus node and the cure for that is to burn the node and put a pacemaker in! No way!

I did extensive research. Saw an ND, he had me on 2 (200mg )magnesium 3x a day and increased my zinc. A friend begged me to try her supplement that has L-arginine, L-citrulline, d-ribose. But not in pill form it is not as effective. Some cardiologist are recommending to patients with Angina that seems to cure the problem in many cases. It's a powder formula with L-arginine, L-citrulline and d-ribose in it. It worked! Two weeks later no more heart problems and breathing easy.

Arginine, an amino acid, produces nitric oxide which may relax the arterial walls active, and it apparently lows blood pressure in some patients.

Heart issues have a cause that a cardiologist may not look at food allergies, dental cavitations hidden infection, parasites, mold or environmental allergies, and Electro magnetic sensitivity.

Lugol's Iodine

I'm writing to share my "miracle" experience. I've had chest pain that felt like severe inflammation for years. My left side (breast) felt so tender as if it was bruised. If my little (4lb) dog jumped on me when I was laying on the couch, I'd go thru the roof. I really thought this was stress related (or worse as I'm a smoker).

I was trying a few different things, fish oils, vitamin E, garlic, etc. I can't say anything worked and it was getting to the point where it was chronic and I was always holding my chest. For reasons I can't really explain (fear?) I just would not go to a doctor. I couldn't bring myself to open that Pandora's Box.

Anyway, at Christmas time I ordered Lugol's Iodine, 5%. When it arrived I just put a drop in about 2" of bottled water and drank it. I did it again that evening. I am not kidding or embellishing in any way - ALL OF THE CHEST PAIN IS GONE. Completely GONE. I am so unaccustomed to being pain free that I find myself still holding my chest, even though nothing hurts! So - perhaps it's my thyroid, I'm not sure, but this has been nothing short of a miracle for me and I hope someone reading this will recognize their own similar symptoms and try the idodine. No matter how much I researched I never found anyone that described symptoms like mine.

Hi Karen...Much thanks for you post on how Lugol's Iodine helped to cure your chest/breast pain. Before WWII they used to use a drug called iodoniacin(containing KI and niacin) for heart problems and high blood. It was very successful. LI also helps prevent/remove breast and uterine cysts, so I'm not surprised( though I'm certainly pleased) with your positive experience.

Here's some more past and current research that you might like to read concerning the whole body's need(not just for the thyroid) for Lugol's Iodine:

Iodine Research 1

Iodine Research 2

The thyroid gland can store up to a maximum 50 mgs of iodine. But it might also surprise you that the rest of the body(ex-thyroid) needs to maintain a store 1500 mgs of iodine every day to stay healthy. So you get the picture. Doctors only ever refer to iodine and the thyroid because that's the way they have been taught by the drugs companies(who write all their Standard of Care Manuals). The above research simply reveals the truth about iodine's essential roles and importance to the human body.

For the last 9 years I've been taking 8 drops %5 LI ever day in water and I attribute much of my own continuing health to this small but essential supplementary habit.

If you want to thoroughly detox then the ones to use are green tea, sodium thiosulfate, EDTA, Lugol's Iodine, chlorella, Vitamin C and Alkalizing as per Ted.

Magnesium Malate for Angina

Cure: Two years after a heart attack, two RCA stents, and rehab, I was again fast walking down and up the mile long 400 feet high hill I live at the top of, and developed angina. I popped a nitro tablet, the pain went away in 10 minutes, and I finished my walk. Then I started reading for a real remedy.

The bottom line from my research is that I started taking a magnesium malate 1250 mg tablet once a day (RDA = 425). A week later I mowed the lawn with the mower drive slipping, working up a big sweat, and the following day walked the big hill – all painlessly. FYI I'm 72, and I do take several other supplements including ACV w/ K/Na (3:1) bicarb, but this one made the difference.

The theory is that angina is closely associated with hardening of the coronary arteries which is associated with plaque deposits. Plaque is associated with calcium, and calcium with magnesium – as electrolytes (along with potassium and sodium). Magnesium deficiency has become common in soils and consequently in foods, and in most, especially older people. Apparently, the smaller, more reactive magnesium ions replace enough of the calcium in the plaque which makes it soluble in the blood – so that they shrink away harmlessly. For references just search for "plaque magnesium" no quotes.

Magnesium, Potassium, Multimineral and water

Magnesim orotate is listed as the best magnesium for the heart and as we age or get illnesses, the magnesium in our body depletes. I would add that potassium is also of great importance as a foundational supplement for the heart. Yes, you can take a teaspoon of cayenne in water to thin the blood quickly but this does not solve a more broad problem of a mineral deficiency. It is best to take a multi mineral as a foundation and then add in what is more deeply needed and in this case, it may be potassium and magnesium. Calcium, magnesium, boron and potassium all work in consort and play great roles in our health and healing. Always stay hydrated because lack of water in the whole body system thickens the blood.

I started getting a chest pain 25 years prior to this one. It was right in the middle of my chest and I felt a dull outward pressure. I went to the hospital and got hooked up to monitor my heart. When the pain would come I would tell the nurse who was watching me. She told me everything is fine with my heart and the pain I am experiencing is something else. They sent me home. A friend of mine suggested I try 1/2 a cup of Pure Virgin Olive Oil. Within minutes the pain subsided. For the next week I would take a swig of this and the pain left. Then no more pain after that and I was really happy about that because I do not like the taste of olive oil. Fast forward to last week. I start getting an aching sensation in my chest at night around 4am. I would awake gasping for air and thinking is this COPD. I was really bothered by this because my mother eventualy suffocated to death from this. The other night I had some pop corn around 9pm and half an hour later I started to get these chest pains again. I suddenly remembered what I did 25 years previous and got up and gulped down some Olive Oil nit Virgin. Because of the awful taste I rinsed with mouthwash right away. The pain left after 1/2 an hour, I had a good night and awoke feeling new.

Potassium, minerals, Co Q 10 etc

Potassium is commonly given by Drs for heart health. Our daily need for potassium is 4400 milligrams and a banana has 300 mg and strong vegetables have more. The common American diet has so little vegetables that, as we age, our potassium continues to deplete. Potassium supplements are regulated at 99mg which is ridiculously low so we can take may of these pills at a time if necessary. Yes, co enzyme Q 10 is incredible at rebuilding the heart in general. I had a bodybuilding client that got cardiomyopathy (a weak and baggy heart) from steroid use, I think. I suggested Co Q 10 and in 3 months, his Dr said the heart was repaired and he could continue the hard workouts. Back to potassium, which we need for heart health and angina. Dr Berg has an electrolyte supplement with 1000 mg of potassium. Don't overlook minerals as age and general depletion sets in. Add in magnesium orotate at 400 mg.

Microcirculation has been demonstrated as occupying a key position in the cardiovascular system.

While treatment of angina and hepatitis remain the most common clinical applications of salvia in modern Chinese clinical practice, the herb has been shown to have other valuable applications, based on its effects on microcirculation.

My husband, 6 months ago could not walk the dog without holding his nitro prescribed by his doctor just in case of a heart attack. He chose not to go through with surgery and did the below instead. Started with a liquid oral chelation for 6 weeks (quite expensive) to get the ball rolling then began with what is listed below.

Oral Chelation (pill form) twice a day as noted on bottle

L-lycine - 1000 mg -2 in the am and 2 in the pm

L-Proline - 500 mg -2 in the am and 2 in the pm

Vitamin C - 1000 mg -non buffered -2 in the am and 2 in the pm (must drink lots of water with this or take Cal Mag to combat possible kidney stones)

vitamin E - 800 IU once in the am

Yesterday he ran 2 miles straight, we take 2 martial arts, we have hiked 11 miles at one time, he has NO pain whatsoever and just past a EKG with flying colors. We keep on a maintenance program but it is much less than above. Definately SEE YOUR DOCTOR, but I just wanted everybody to know that this worked for us.

L-Lysine and L-Proline, same dose as previous, but AM only

Oral Chelation the same as previous AM and PM

Cal-Mag the same as previous AM and PM

1000 "Buffered" vitamin C AM and PM

Hi Tina, I have finally got rid of mine. After years of occasional chest pain, sometimes for days, I have now have none. Once my left arm was swollen so had an ECG and there was no damage to the heart and both the arm and the pain was not due to the heart. Now that I am drinking the alkalizing drink with added magnesium and potassium I have no more chest pain at all. I know that it is not due to the magnesium as I have been taking that for years (for muscle twitches and cramps) on and off. When I was just having the alkalizing drink (lemon juice with bi-carb soda in water) I was still getting the chest pains. It was only after adding the potassium that I noticed a couple of weeks later that I had not had any chest pain. One month later on the potassium and not one pain in the chest. I am still varying the dose at the moment. It is interesting that it is getting increasing harder to get potassium supplements in Australia. All the best in finding your answer.

He did stop his oral chelation for about 6 months, but noticed a big difference and started up again.

Dear Ted, and Anyone else out there,

I've noticed whenever I take any sort of vitamins with oils, like a very lowdose Vit. E or Flaxseed oil or Cod liver oil, (liquid) or even oil pulling, I get severe chest pains around the region of my heart, ( I've written to u before about the OP and chest pains) I just never put it together, that most or all oils cause this. Is there a way to strengthen my heart muscles, without taking these oils? Or would u happen to know why this is happening, what is causing this? When I look back I realize that I've been taking vit. E since I was a teenage off and on, now I'm in my late 30's and I still can't take these much needed beneficial oils. I do have a mitral valve prolapse, which was diagnosed about 10 yrs ago..... Thank u.. : )

Jerry, I got the kinda opposite of your condition as I have heart pains after eating "Microwave Popcorn", something to do w/ the oils. The first few bags are OK, but then I get the pains. I take Natural Mixed E, vit-A ---no problem. As far as heart disease, I cannot speculate, but I can list a few things to strengthen the heart.

First I use Magnet Therapy occasionally for maintenance. I use a speaker magnet as it gets down deep into the heart muscle, 1 hr is good maybe once mo. Supplements include: Hawthorn, Ginger/Cayenne, Ginkgo, CoQ10 or Ubiquinol, Carnitine, Coenzyme 1 (NADH), Magnesium.

Consider other detox methods along w/ Oil Pulling as toxicity is very likely. Infections can stress kidneys and Heart if they enter the bloodstream. I had to take 1gm Vit-C before and after O.P. As I had too much toxins released into blood; am down to 500mg now. Try some antibiotic herbs like Neem, Echinacea/Goldenseal, Olive Leaf Extract, Grapefruitseed Extract. Zinc is critical for immunity (take with Vit-A, also works w/ Vit-E)

Use the best form of Vit-E you can afford like Full Spectrum Mixed Tocopherols and be sure to take at least 200 mcs of Selenium plus the CoQ10; these three together are a powerhouse lipid antioxidant and heart protector.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Lisa, First - thanks for the info on the h2o2. Do you just use it when your sinuses are blocked, or do you use it preventatively?

I just watched the You Tube videos of David Wolfe. Wow. I agree - most informative. It's kind of an interesting dilemma. There is so much information out there and I sometimes find it difficult to decide which path to take (and still have a somewhat "normal" life) without totally changing my lifestyle, social life, family dining, etc. The whole subject intrigues me and I have been studying for years - yet I must admit that I still enjoy a great meal in a great restaurant (not entirely raw.) I've decided that incorporating as much raw food as possible is still the best way to go - even if it is not perfection. Have you found any good sources of superfoods? Thanks so much for all of your helpful comments. Lee

Hi Lee,

I'm so glad you took the time to watch David Wolfe- he is a very informed person with cutting edge info and close to many of the pioneers of changing the way we see food and how it can change our body/life. I try not to create any rules/laws/isms for myself as I've done that in the past in my life. This time I told myself I would totally tune into my body and listen. I know how it can be difficult as so many people live differently and we want to be social. I have to say the holidays were truly a challenge. Sometimes, we had 3 different meals on the table! I "chose" to eat a small piece of turkey on Thanksgiving but honestly I found I didn't really want that. At Christmas, I ate all the veggies and had a very small piece of prime rib and again did not find it that appealing.

Since the holidays, we have mostly eaten raw and since we're here in LA there are plenty of fantastic raw restaurants to enjoy. We have tried some of our favorite old standby restaurants that we used to frequent but, since changing our eating habits/ lifestyles neither my husband or I felt they were very good anymore and let them go. We find the raw foods more vibrant, you feel very alive and energized rather than that heavy feeling after eating a "gourmet meal". And let me tell you, we were quite gourmet in our cooking having spent a lot of time studying all the top chefs and their recipes! So, it was a radical change for us but one we now welcome because the benefits of how we feel are so different and much improved for both of us. And yes, my conclusion is eat as much raw as possible and maybe you can't do it for a bit- don't beat yourself up about it! Just start again. We juice every morning and that really charges us up. BTW, you are in one of my all time favorite cities. I lived there in the 70's and love visiting there! Are you aware that there are some amazing raw food restaurants there and have you tried any? Pure Food and Wine is highly praised! If you try it, let me know what you think!

As for superfoods, check out the company Ultimate. They are very reasonably priced with very high quality products. Check them out. You may be able to find them in your Whole Foods there in NYC. We have them in ours but a limited choice. Also, rawfoodworld.com has a lot of very good products on their site and the owner, Matt Monarch is a very informed and critical guy. Hope this info helps.

Hi Lisa,

It does sound like we are on the same track. I have been to a few raw food restaurants in the city and have a gift certificate to Pure Food, which my son and daughter in law gave me for Christmas. I'm waiting to use it until the weather gets nicer because I'd like to sit in their outdoor garden. I'll let you know how it is but - my daughter in law is also very interested in raw foods and she has prepared many dishes from their cookbook - and she raves.

Thanks for the info on the superfoods - I'll start investigating. It's fun to read the postings of so many kindred spirits.
Oh - I have another question for you. Do you grow wheatgrass? I know you are interested in Brian Clement - if so, do you purchase supplies from his website? Thanks - Lee

Hi Lee,

That's fun that you have a gift certificate to Pure Food. They have pics of the patio in their raw books and on their site and it looks great! One day I'll get to go there. I have used their books too and love them. When I first got one of their books I was so excited and enthusiastic about what I was discovering that I wrote Sarma Mengailis, the owner and was thrilled to see that she wrote me back a really great email. She's very funny.

As for wheatgrass, no I don't grow it because my juicer won't do wheatgrass. I do a lot of sprouting though because of Brian Clement's advice. Right now I'm sprouting quinoa and it's delicious! It's my new favorite. Also, I haven't purchased anything from his site. Since you live in NYC you'll understand this- we can find anything here in LA and reasonably-priced as well. So for instance, I recommended Ultimate brand because it is high quality and reasonable but I can find it in our local health food stores for the same price pretty much. Often, I'm the kind of person who wants it, and wants it now. Donna Gates has amazing products products on her site but I can find them in our health food stores which I'm sure could be hard to find in lots of parts of the country. If you haven't listened to her or gone on her site, that's a must if all of this interests you. She highly recommends quinoa.

I know what you mean about finding kindred spirits. We now have a monthly raw food fest here in LA and the place is packed with them! I have found a couple of them here on EC and we now email each other on a regular basis sharing ideas and encouragement. It's been fantastic.

One thing I want to add in regards to wheatgrass and Brian's site. One of my "email pals" went to his site so excited after I sent her links to all his video. She immediately ordered the hand-cranked wheatgrass juicer and is growing her own wheatgrass successfully. Anyway, she had me howling because of her description of her husband and herself juicing with this thing. She said it takes her 20 minutes to get the smallest amount of juice and she's in a full sweat and completely worked out by the time shes's done. At first I was envious about her getting a wheatgrass juicer since I go buy a shot every couple days but her response to me was, "Somehow I think paying for your wheatgrass juice is worth it after this!"

I wish you the best on this journey! Lisa

Hi Lisa, Your friend's experience is exactly why I asked if you had ordered anything from Brian's site. Thanks so much for the head's up. Maybe I'll give quinoa a try.

You can take too much if you take it without magnesium, and its other companion minerals, as is often the case with calcium supplements. Also, if you don't drink enough water, calcium can go out of solution and form stones. Dolomite and garden fertilizer (not human or medical) grade Epsom salts are goods sources of magnesium, dolomite will also supply calcium.

I took the nitrogen pills for years, even after my by pass surgery, which turned to be a waste of time and money. It also put my like in danger. Someone told me to try Tabasco sauce to relieve the pain, and I did. It worked, the pain went away. So now when the pain starts, I put a little sauce under my tongue. This has been going on for over ten years. I am very satisfied with this remedy. Respectfully submitted.

Angina pain can be dramatically helped by using natural (not synthetic) Vitamin E. I've recently seen another case of this; where a lady had multiple stints placed in her after a heart attack but the angina continued. After being on 400 IUs of natural E daily, the Angina stopped. I understand that it is best to start E at 200 IUs...taking either d-alpha tocopherol or mixed tocopherols. After taking 200 IUs for a few weeks, increase to 400 and so forth. I've been on 800 IUs of E for 30 years.

I would like to point that high dose zinc apparently stops angina in its tracks, for a significant number of people. Here is a google link to a search page that will show you how this was discovered (during a trial of zinc gluconate lozenges for cold duration) and the research that followed up on it. Very interesting:

Natural, not synthetic, vitamin E will oxygenate the blood and help angina problems as well as lack of circulation in the legs. If you buy Vitamin E at a drug store you will always get synthetic E but at health food stores you will get natural E. Use the natural "mixed tocopherols" with more of the d alpha tocopherol. The gamma tocopherol should be in the mix on the label as it too has been shown to be beneficial. Start with 200 iu daily and over a period of two months increase to 400. I've taken 1,000 for 30 years.

My father's angina went away after using this in two months... Completely. He'd had triple bypass but still suffered from angina after the surgery. I got him on the natural E and the angina went away. Also after ten years his bypasses were still clean, which amazed the heart doctor who was certain that after ten years, they would be closed which is the norm. Of interest, another five years after that (15 years after the triple) he began having some issues so again they looked inside and some clotting had begun. Not even a stint was necessary at the time but they warned him it was coming. I then checked to see what kind of E he had been using and found he'd quit getting the E at the health food store and started buying it a a discount drug store... He had started using synthetic E a year earlier. I got him off the synthetic and back onto the natural. Never another heart problem until his death ten years later... 25 years after his heart surgery with no stints or other heart issues. He did not die of heart related issues.

Yes I totally agree, the synthetic vitamins must be watched out for along with the synthetic food. There are a lot of people including me that have taken the synthetic form, and over a few months observing their effects have found them no good for overall health but may be damaging. A multi vitamin which begins with C#$@! %$ caused me to have ulcers at the corners of my mouth, after stopping they cleared up.. So natural is definitely the way to go.

My Vitamin E says Dl-alpha tocopherol acetate, supposedly the most biochemically stable form of Vitamin E. Is this a natural source or is it artificially made? Thanks!

DL alpha tocopherol is synthetic vitamin e.

http://www.chiro.org/nutrition/FULL/Natural_vs_Synthetic_Vitamin_E.shtml

I've read studies where it appeared synthetic vitamin e actually had a negative impact on the human body. Unfortunately many studies do not tell which form of vitamin e is used and this probably helps explain the discrepancies and contradictions associated with vitamin e studies. One study using a specific dose will have a positive effect and then a similar study also using the same dose will have no effect or a negative effect.

There is a massive amount of natural Vitamin E in grape seed oil. It can also be applied topicaly for skin conditions. It also keeps indefinitely in a dark place.

As an update to my post above, another vivid illustration on the use of natural remedies on the dangerous issue of heart problems. A friend came to me and said he was having chest pain but refused to go to the hospital. He had a very bad experience a year earlier and just refused to use conventional medication. I had gotten his dad on natural vitamin E twenty years earlier and his father's condition had stabalized and he is now 88 years old.

After eliminating digestive issues I agreed that his chest pain sounded like angina. So my suggestion was to immediately get on the fllowing suppliments:

400 iu daily of natural vitamin E. Drug stores only carry synthetic E, so go to a health food store and make sure by discussion with the clerk that you are getting good quality natural D-alpha tocopherol. It cannot say "DL-alpha"... the L means it is synthethic.

  • 500 mg of magnesium daily
  • 500 mg of potassium daily
  • 500 mg of the herb Hawthorne daily
  • 500 mg of Co Q 10 daily
  • 1, 000 mg of Vitamin C, in a non acid form daily
  • 1, 000 mg of a good fish oil (taken with meals) daily

I warned him that any hard workout where he was breathing hard could easily kill him... That he was severly depressed in oxygen to the heart and possibly blocked in his arteries in the heart. I emphatically warned him that he was a time bomb. And not to do activities that made him out of breath... Cardio exercise for at least four months. Only after four months could he gradually do activities that caused him to be out of breath. Every month I'd check to make sure he had not run out of nutrients. After 4 months I suggested he up his E to 600 daily.

He did. His wife reported to me after he had been on the program for five months that the transformation was amazing. A year before he had begun coming home and plopping down on his recliner and sleeping after supper whereas throughout their marriage his energy was usually boundless. But now, she reported he had energy as before.

It has now been ten months. No more chest pain. Energy back to normal. He is doing great.

The combo is really important. Some of the items work synergestically so all are better than one or two.

I have personally been on this formula for nearly thirty years. I have 108/78 BP. I take no prescription drugs. I use colloidal silver to ward off infections. Also I do consume other helpful nutrients for the heart such as arginine in large quantities which is an addition in the past five years. And the remarkable Calcium AEP. Go on line and google Calcium AEP and find a report from "Nutritional Review. " AEP (not just any calcium) accomplishes about 20 different actions, many on the cellular level.

I am 63 years old. Have never been in a hospital as a patient. I'm not a good natural foods eater. I do eat sugar deserts. I don't exercise enough and am overweight but one thing I do right, even with my eating "sins" is take a lot of nutritional suppliments.

My new year's resolution: More exercise; less sugar; more jucing. By the way on exercise, I am into the idea of less is more. When I work out it is on an eliptical and I make sure I am breathing to the point that I could not have a conversation with the person next to me. That level for 10 minutes, then the backwards movement for one minute getting other leg muscles, then back to normal for two minutes; then I end with a sprint for 30 seconds. Then three minutes on the stair master. I want to see my heart rate hit the 170 level. Then on my way home I check my Blood Pressure at a local pharmacy (the only time they ever see me) and make sure... Even after a brisk cardio hit, I'm normal. My theory about that workout is that it pressures the leg muscles as well as pressing the heart to remind it that it is working for a young guy, not an old man. And the exercise pushes the lungs to make sure no atrophy is taking place. If I do live to be 85, I want to have mobility and capacity to participate in activities such as hiking etc. I can positively feel the difference with a mere once a week workout. I would like to add one or at most two more days a week but in the past... Years ago I could not really feel the qualitative difference with a four workout week versus a once a week but intensive cardio workout. I'd love some empirical info on longevity and heavy workout routine but my google searches have not really provided me with strong evidence that that amount of exercise in double blind studies confirms the theory that intense (five times weekly) workouts actually help with longevity. I have seen studies with rats relative to weight issues. That the leaner animals lived longer than fat ones. That is not the exercise question. Some one direct me to a definative study please. If I'm going to torture myself by intense exercise five days a week I'd love to really know that it is helping achieve more than the weight issue. I have seen theories that robust exercise on a heavy weekly schedule can wear out the "parts. " So am I right that less is more?

Lloyd, I'm with you on the less is more idea, as can be seen from many of my posts. For me, slow but steady, wins the race!

Hi Lloyd.... You might want to check out Dr. Mercola's website on frequency/duration of exercising. He has all kinds of info on studies they have done to prove which is the most beneficial.
