I finally have some 99% dmso. I have read a ton on what it can do. Now I am ready to mix it with vitamins. I have read people mixing b-12 and b-5. I am going to get some eye drop containers and start the mixing. Question is what is the ratio? mg per ml? do I use just dmso and the vitamin or dilute it with distilled water? how often can I put the drops on my skin per day? also what other vitamins would be safe in this procedure?

Internal use of DMSO, to Tre from Memphis, Tn, Hi Tre, I have never used DMSO internally, seeing how you have read a lot on the many things you can use this for, just a safety reminder, make sure everything the DMSO touches is very clean, and also if you plan on using capsules or tablet form of vitamins, do a trial run in water first, to make sure it dissolves in 20 minutes or it might not work, but then again DMSO is classified as a solvent, so it might, but just to make sure you might want to put it in a glass to check the disolveability before you put it into the eyedroper. Good luck and please keep us posted on exactly what you did and how well it works.

There is a book on DMSO by the same doctors who wrote one about MSM. I only read the MSM one but what I understood is that it is clear that you can use DMSO internally, I even think that it is usually used internally but that because of the odor you can better use MSM. One of the doctors has ran a DMSO clinic in the US for many years, maybe he still does..... If you go on Amazon you will find several books on both subjects.

Bill, Very good post about Vitamin C not being ascorbic acid. I take a Vitamin C with Rose Hips. I look at the rose hips as being the most important part. I have tended to take Vitamin C for granted without thinking about it. It is a reminder to be more discriminating when buying Vitamin C in supplement form. I know you get your nutrients from whole foods so less likely to be a problem. For people who buy supplement, this is important to know

http://www.thedoctorwithin.com/vitaminc/ascorbic-acid-is-not-vitamin-c/

"OK, natural vs. synthetic. Let's start with Vitamin C. Most sources equate vitamin C with ascorbic acid, as though they were the same thing. They're not. Ascorbic acid is an isolate, a fraction, a distillate of naturally occurring vitamin C. In addition to ascorbic acid, vitamin C must include rutin, bioflavonoids, Factor K, Factor J, Factor P, Tyrosinase, Ascorbinogen, and other components as shown in the figure below:

A s c o r b I c A c I d

ascorbinogen
bioflavonoids
rutin

tyrosinase

Factor J
Factor K
Factor P

A s c o r b I c A c id

V I T A M I N C

In addition, mineral co-factors must be available in proper amounts.

If any of these parts are missing, there is no vitamin C, no vitamin activity. When some of them are present, the body will draw on its own stores to make up the differences, so that the whole vitamin may be present. Only then will vitamin activity take place, provided that all other conditions and co-factors are present."

To drive home the point even further

"Ascorbic acid simply cannot confer vitamin activity, as taught by the discoverer of vitamin C himself, another Nobel Prize laureate, Dr. Albert Szent-Georgi.

Szent-Georgi discovered vitamin C in 1937. In all his research however, Szent-Georgi found that he could never cure scurvy with the isolated ascorbic acid itself. Realizing that he could always cure scurvy with the "impure" vitamin C found in simple foods"

So one should focus on Vitamin C COMPLEX as opposed to Vitamin C

I found a sustained release brand which contains

Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 1000 mg 1,667%

Bioflavonoids (from Citrus limon exocarp) (supplying active flavonones, 24% [120 mg] and active flavonols and flavones, 20% [100 mg]) 500 mg

Rutin (from Sophora japonica leaf) 100 mg

Hesperidin (from Citrus limon exocarp) 100 mg

Rose Hips (Rosa canina fruit) 100 mg

Acerola (Malpighia glabra fruit) 50 mg

Prioris,

Thank You for explaining Vitamin C, short and to the point.

I had a similar observation doing alcohol withdrawal treatments on myself. The vitamins from the store were useless. But when I was getting an I.V in the vein, I was up and rosy looking in hours. Otherwise, it would be several days.

Withdrawal is not the same as "hangover". It's deadly.

I have recently started to experience jaw pain, and nerve pain on the lower right side causing nerve pain in those teeth. At first I thought I had an ear infection went to the doctor about that and my doctor said it was a sinus infection. I went to see my dentist and he explained that the nerve pain was from clenching my teeth on one side. He put some temporary pain medicine on those molars but it only lasted a day.

I stumbled on DMSO read up on it and ordered some pharmaceutical grade DMSO. I dabbed full strength on my back teeth and on my gums. in about 5 minutes all the pain was gone. I also put some down my jaw line and next to my ear and immediately I had experience relief.

At first I had to apply DMSO about every hour but now I only apply about every 4 hours. What a huge miracle.

Then, when I became a full time massage therapist, I always shared the benefits of DMSO. My question is; are there any DMSO Clinics? Drinking DMSO for mental clarity following COVID and strokes

I have had two fascinating experiences with drinking 1 tsp of DMSO daily following a case of what some might think is or call "long COVID". My experience was such that I became very ill this past year for nearly two months. It was essentially pneumonia, but had a lot of other symptoms associated therewith that made it feel much worse than a lung problem. Thought I was going to die with this, but I managed to naturally cure myself.

I found myself mentally clouded and having terrible trouble with recall (I was normally exceptionally fast and higher end on the IQ range) which has been a death sentence for my work. After a lot of desperate trials of various things I stumbled upon oral DMSO consumption for brain damage patients.

I really didn't have much else to lose at this point due to my recall necessity, so I gave it a shot. I'm about a month in of taking 1 tsp of DMSO a day with about a glass of distilled water and I have been amazed at the results.

I believe I'm at about 90% of where I was before and perhaps, in some ways, better than prior to falling ill. I think my middle aged mind is closer to performance of about 15 years ago at this point. I'm not perfect in recall as I was, but I'm at about 90% as I said. The ways in which I'm better is that I'm feeling more alertness than I did before.

The next thing to report is that a loved one who has experienced brain damage from a series of strokes seems to be improving finally after being also desperate and trying many "medical" options. So far we've seen an improvement of about 10% of where they were and it seems as though this could go farther.

I am considering using 2 teaspoons per day as some have suggested - maybe spaced out prior to bed and in the morning - but I am still wanting to be on this protocol for a few months before taking it further.

Oral DMSO is nothing short of miraculous.

Thanks for posting this! I've had covid twice and I'm 68. Having problems with memory. I used to play piano and recently took it back up but find it so difficult. Lots of little things have been happening that I believe are related to long covid. I found pharmaceutical grade dmso online, but worried about ordering it because it will show up in my mailbox and since we still have freezing temps I don't want it to freeze. I will definitely be trying the teaspoon of dmso in distilled water! Thanks!

I have been using DMSO for about 5 years. I buy it from a feed store or Tractor Supply. It is a lot cheaper and perfectly fine. I had bought both the pharmaceutical grade and that from the feed store. I could taste or tell no difference in the results.

I put 2 ounces of the DMSO and a 16 ounce glass and fill it up with water. I drink it slowly over about 20 minutes. It taste absolutely horrible. My friend drinks it with juice instead of water. Personally, I don't see how that would make it taste any better.

it's like an industrial strength Roto router to clean the plaque from the valves in my heart. I repeat this about every five or six months.

I have to drink a lot of water because my body gives off a garlicky smell for a couple of days.

Hello Andra of Calgary, Alberta,

Researching can be fun and certainly wise if you are about to jump into a new adventure. I was up early this morning so I decided to help you in your research. I did not see any Pubmed studies for DMSO plaque cleaning. What I did find is two articles that can be helpful.

One article says:

"Some people claim that dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) helps to dissolve calcium deposits, but DMSO isn't approved for this purpose."

https://www.healthline.com/health/how-to-get-rid-of-calcium-deposits#qampa

The next article is a more flavorful, it says…

"Atherosclerosis is a disease in which plaque builds up inside your arteries. As a result, oxygen-rich blood flow is limited to both your organs and other parts of your body. Typical treatments involve lifestyle challenges like a healthy diet and exercise. In laboratory testing, DMSO has demonstrated its ability to delay the development of narrowing arteries induced by dietary cholesterol. It also suppresses the accumulation of cholesterol in tissues, despite severely elevated levels."

Gary you are right,

I have an Olive oil for the heart story.

One of our church mothers testified that when she was a young woman, her heart was so bad that walking up a flight of stairs was breathtaking for her. She said, as she and her husband slept one night, her husband saw an angel. The angel said, "Give your wife a spoon of olive oil each day." She did not say what size spoon. She said it as if she was still taking it.

What I do know for sure, is that she was still visiting the sick in hospitals, and often doing her own shopping until she went to be with the Lord at ninety something. I would be going in a building, and with a smile, she would wave at me leaving the building. I would wonder what keeps her going. I never got the swing of daily olive oil, maybe I should try again.

Medical Grade vs Industrial DMSO

Regarding "Industrial" DMSO vs "Medical grade." Several years ago I was interested in DMSO and did quite a bit of research on this stuff. It is truly a wonder product, but I was concerned about the 'purity' thing. So I contacted the company that makes DMSO and asked them about it. This is what they told me. Dmso is Dmso, period. There is no 'medical grade' or 'industrial' grade. It is all the same. DMSO is Dimethyl sulfoxide period. The only difference is how much distilled water is mixed with it. If it is 70% DMSO that just means it has been mixed with 30% distilled water. If it is 99% pure, it means it was mixed with 1% distilled water. If it says 99.9% pure, it has no measurable distilled water mixed with it. PERIOD> So when you read on the internet that 'their' product is "more pure" than anyone elses, you're being "taken". I've seen ads stating that "Our product is only 'Medical grade'" to justify charging as much as 38.00 per bottle!! ? This is ridiculous! I buy my bottle of DMSO at our FEED and SEED store for 7.50!! It is 99% pure and I have been using for years! So don't be taken to the cleaners over this stuff. Do your own research.!!!

In response to Anne's post, the grade is not in reference to the amount of water in DMSO, it's in reference to purity, meaning that DMSO that is of pharmaceutical grade is 99.99% pure - the chances of it containing any solvents or other additives is minute.

This is the grade used in cryogenic preservation (shipment of organs for transplant), and in transdermal patches. The risk of any other grade is unknown unless you have access to a testing facility that can tell you what the other percentage is, i.e., the 1% or more which is not DMSO. That 1% can make all the difference when it comes to treating the human body, so misinformation can be damaging.

I use only 99.99% pure DMSO in my topical pain formula, just as I use only the highest grade essential oils and extracts, organic, extra-virgin coconut & olive oils, and organic grapeseed and hemp oils.

HI U KAREN, , , , , , , , , , Seems to me that you might be getting caught up in stuff that is much to do about nothing. I buy my DMSO from Dr Jacobs and he is Mr. DMSO and states that DMSO in a poly bottle is good, but if you got a hang up, then he will ship it in a glass container for $ 5 more. He did all the original research on DMSO for Crown Zellerbach back in the 60's . What are your credentials?

What you have to watch is that most compounds distill off at a certain purity and if you want it higher then it is done by it is done by removing the water by decanting with a solvent. When I was a poor whipper snapper at Ga Tech and in Organic Chemistry, instead of stealing ethanol at 95% , I stole the the Absolute ethanol at 100%, because that had to be better. The more I stole for our Frat parties, the worse I felt.

The next summer I had a grad student teaching the class. He covered Absolute 100% ethanol, which was made by decanting the water from the 95% by using benzene and this left traces of benzene in the Absolute. Benzene is accumulative in your body and when you reach 10 grams , then you die. After that lecture , I went to him after class and explained what a friend of mine had done by stealing from the Organic Lab.

He had been down a few dusty road and told me very emphatically not to ever do that again. Since I's SJS , I never did, but I have always wondered how many grams of benzene I do have.

The lady who buys her 99% DMSO from the Farm Co-op will get no flack from me and I question your problem with it.

DMSO and H2O2 for Migraines:

My boyfriend gets constant and debilitating migraine headaches for the past several years (about once or twice a week)... it is what first brought me to Earthclinic many months ago when I started researching. He has ever since been by guinea pig!! I think that there's a lot of it to do with nutritional deficiencies (which I am still figuring out...) but I FINALLY came up with something that works QUICK in the meantime until I figure out the root cause this treats the symptoms.

I was reading about DMSO and how it could theoretically be used to treat a stroke in an emergency, and I was thinking that headaches have similar problems of lack of oxygen to the brain...

so when he came over this morning w a terrible headache that had lasted all night and not been relieved by Amerge or Flova prescription migraine pills...

I mixed him a cocktail of organic "Monster C" juice, about 1 cup (8 oz.) with about 1/8 teaspoon of DMSO and added a few drops of food grade 35% hydrogen peroxide. He drank this.

We then applied an icepack to his forehead and within 20 minutes, the headache that had lasted for about 8 hours went away completely!

So happy! Hopes this remedy helps someone else.

ClaudiO, ORH here, and I first learned of DMSO in 1965 when I worked for CZ in St Francisville, La. The CZ pulp mill in Bogalusa, La was where C Z make their DMSO from the mill's black liquor. Their DMSO Supervisor came over to help me start up our tall oil plant.

He related two stories that I have posted over the years and will post here again.

He said none of his employees ever got a cold, nor the flu while working in the plant. Also, he said DMSO will instantly heal a skin burn. Dr. Jacob in Ore. did all CZ's research and lived to be 93 and drank DMSO every day. Read his book. I still buy all my DMSO from his Lab.

You are right about DMSO reacting with plastic as I ruined my Tractor Driver's plastic measuring beaker with 100 % DMSO. A glass nebulizer would work. Dr. Jacobs says to use 75% below your waist and 50% above your waist. The employees had to breathe the DMSO vapors but I would have no clue what concentration to use in a nebulizer. I would go very low to start.

After I crushed my T 12, I use lineament and DMSO every morning on my hips. Dr. Jacobs testified before Senator Kennedy's committee in his investigation into DMSO. After that, Dr. Jacobs took a low profile as Big Pharma came after him. Would tell you much more, but this tale would not be posted. Error to the save side on the nebulizing and keep us posted.

I'm not going to "nebulize" DMSO but I DO take the stopper out and inhale the vapors. I don't really have any issues but I can definitely feel it, nevertheless. I also do that, occasionally, with hydrogen peroxide, ClO2 and an extra strong cayenne tincture I made. Though not at the same time, mind you. They all have an effect, inhaling the vapors, but I don't really have any issues so can't attest to the effect any of them would have on a problem.

I DO wish I'd tried inhaling the cayenne tincture vapors 0 and the others if the cayenne didn't work - when I had that sinus awfulness after Covid, but didn't think of it until later.

I'm going to "wild ferment" some cayenne peppers all the way through the bubbling and try inhaling vapors (and maybe some probiotics) from THAT - without the CO2, of course. But I'll wait for some sort of sinus "thing". I'm thinking I'll just put some in a little pinch bowl with a bit of the brine and inhale whatever probiotics might come off it, see what happens. I don't get sinus infections but I DO get stuffy when the house does.

I am looking into this idea of "Oil Pulling". And if it does work, why would DMSO not be a good idea? DMSO has some of the characteristics of an oil. I started last night with DMSO and I did it this morning too. I used pure 99.9 percent pure DMSO. It has a warming effect. I did not find it objectionable at all. (If I kick the bucket, please ignore anything I have ever said because I never met Jack, and not know Jack).

I would be careful using DMSO as an oil pulling "oil". The bacteria from any dental plague in your mouth will get absorbed into your bloodstream and might cause heart problems like Infectious Endocarditis. If I were you, I would only use the traditional oils that have been used for centuries in this particular technique.

Put some hydrogen peroxide with the dmso. That should help kill any infecting microbes.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

It does not make sense to me that the DMSO would draw into the bloodstream a large thing like a bacteria. It is too big. I would not think it could make it through the blood barrier. From what I understand is that DMSO transports light, small molecules.

Update

My issue with "Oil-Pulling" with DMSO is the tooth throbbing I get in one of my mid teeth. I do like the sensation of the warming that I get though. Like a gentle heat pad for the mouth. I don't "Oil-Pull" with DMSO every day.

Don't forget about Jim Humble's MMS Miracle Mineral Solution ( chlorine dioxide ) the best virus bacteria parasite killer known to man, when used with dmso is even better.

I would not use DMSO in the mouth if you have any metal or plastic dental fillings or devices. They can be degraded and the toxins re-absorbed quite easily.

In response to Rob from NJ who wrote: "Bad pain in hands and feet. Please help how to take DMSO and what's the protocol is internally and externally."

Longtime DMSO user here.

I personally use mine on sore body parts straight. First I put on a thin layer of castor oil (to protect the skin), then I use an eye dropper to measure, and so I know my starting dose. Eg. for my two crushed discs I started with 7 drops per side. Leave the area uncovered for 20 mins, then get dressed again.

How I take it internally:

I typically use only 1/4 tsp of it 1x day. It's a solvent so it wants into your tissues, fast! So it's disconcerting to start to drink it, swallow, but there's nothing left cause it was already absorbed in the back of your throat!

As time goes on DMSO will actually heal you! And you will need less and less. If you don't want to fuss with castor oil, you could dilute the DMSO with distilled water, to a level of 50/50, and apply it that way. I was telling a friend of my crushed disc protocol, that I started 3 yrs ago and gradually cycled down as I healed when I realized I hadn't put any on my back in 2 months! So remember, you're not treating, you'll actually be healing. Best of luck on your healing!

I have been making cayenne extracts to roll on areas of pain. Especially for knee or back pain issues. This cayenne extract ( in alcohol 100 proof) has been really amazing in pain relief topical application. Just today I took some DMSO and Aloe Vera juice and a spot of Kosher Glycerin and filled the rest of the ounce with cayenne extract in alcohol. I made this blend this morning and have just applied it and the heating sensation is perfect. I have been experimenting with DMSO and Aloe Vera juice too by adding 30%, or 40% or 50% of Aloe Vera Juice with coresponding amounts of pure DMSO. They all cause me to itch so far. I want to try some honey in this DMSO to see if I can make a home made blend that does not itch. Well, Until later.

Update:

I made a bottle of cayenne extract with coconut oil and a spot of kosher glycerin and I put it on the shelf. I picked it up yesterday off the shelf and have not yet used it. It is too late to try it today because I have already applied a blend I made yesterday and I don't want to confuse the experiment. I like yesterday's blend which is DMSO, glycerine, Aloe Vera juice and homemade cayenne extract in alcohol. So far I am liking the blend. It is mild, yet still generates a heat pad affect. I may try this type of blend with Extract of Bhut Jolokia extract. It will be very hot I am certain but for a bad flare up it would probably be perfect for the relief. Thank you, and I am going back to work.

I purchased DMSO gel 99.9 pure with 10% Distilled water. I had excruciating pain on the tail bone from physical work around the house, as in moving furniture. I figured I would take a chance and just try it so I first used the roll-on with the same percentage of the gel, first. It felt as if the pain was never going to cease but I was not going to give up so easily. I applied DMSO (once) for two days. I thought that if the pain still persisted on the third day, I would consult with a physician. Well, on the third day, I felt no pain at all, as if it were never there!

In reading some of the entries on here, I have become quite curious in exploring DMSO further. I would like to know if everyone here purchases DMSO in the same form. If I am to take it orally, do I purchase a different form other than gel, or can I still use the gel that I currently have? How are many of you on this thread figuring out what measurements are needed for your ailments. Someone mentioned douching and I, too, am curious as to how it can be done and what form is used. Should DMSO and MSM be used together? I am just discovering information about MSM. Another member mentioned a book on it and I am going to purchase a copy. If anyone can answer or outline information on what I need, please do so. I believe in DMSO.

Hi Mystic Sage, I first used DMSO back in the 70's as a ballet dancer. My teacher/ mentor who was one of the great American ballerinas had used it throughout her career and familiarized me with it. Back then it was not used by humans (at least not the general public, dancers were using it. ) but she knew of it from the horse world in Saratoga Springs, NY of which they had been using it on race horses for a long time successfully. I continue to use it today in roll- on form. Once applied you do not need to rub it in but do let it dry before getting dressed. It is a powerful conductor so be careful what you are applying with it because it will drive it into the body.

As for MSM, I was introduced to it 16 years ago by my dad. He would always see me in pain from all my teaching and brought it to me in powder form although he had capsules as well. I was skeptical but tried it and my pain disappeared overnight! I was sold! Back then, my dad would add the powder to lotion to use topically since it was not available in creams at that time. Virtually no one knew of it and because I became such a believer in it, I would drive a distance to buy it from the distributor in boxes so I could get a bulk discount. I would give it to dancers and friends who had physical pain. To this day, I recommend it to all my students if they become really sore or if they feel they've injured a body part. I like to use it in powder form best since it goes directly into your system. Capsules are good for convenience but I personally don't think they're as potent. I use Omica which is completely plant- derived and non- petroleum derived. That company offers superior products of all that they carry. The first MSM I used all that time ago was OptiMSM. I always had great results with that as well.

As for DMSO orally, well since I use MSM orally I don't use DMSO that way. You can safely use them together. I have often. Also, there is plenty of information available on the internet on both of these so you really don't need to buy a book. As for the amount of MSM, I base it on my pain factor. Of course, I think it's always best to start low and build up if you aren't getting the results you wanted. I use a pretty healthy tablespoon, sometimes more, in a glass of water but then again, I'm used to these things...

I hope I have answered your questions. Best to you, Lisa

Noticed that when taking MSM orally, you need to consume it at least 2 to 3 hours before sleeping as otherwise it will keep you up.

I am no expert on this but I think that combining the two in proper ratio insures top levels in the body. DMSO has many benefits as does MSM, but the DMSO can cause odor problems at therapeutic doses, where this does not occur with MSM. Evidently DMSO is limited in it's conversion to MSM.

HI U TIMH, , , , , , , , , MSM is made from DMSO and H202.

I am surprised that you have a pet. Hulda Clark said that if you have a house pet then you will have the same parasites. I believed her and after 46 years my wife no longer has a house cat. For the last 8 years she has had two outside cats and they love far more that the others. They are fed a specific amount at a specific time. Neither wears a watch, but they know exactly when feeding time is.

As you know Hulda Clark contended that parasites were the cause of all diseases.

I have ordered the reduced Glutathione to make a batch of lyposol. I can find no recipe so I will just use one tbsp per batch. How does that sound to you?

RH: For over 20 yrs I hadn't a pet due to being un-established and living from pillar-to-post. Factor in also the tragic single or bachelor status, and in 2004 where I moved to a country setting (now become completely developed) it was so wonderful to have a pet kitty, then a mommy kitty and a batch of kittens. I have one of that litter still abiding here and doing well. I kept them wormed regular w/ Piperazine for adult Ascaris but looking back in hindsight, would have also needed the Ivermectin.

Anyway, about the LET. Are you feeling improved from the LET Vit-C?? I have been thinking how much assured you should feel as to that recent cancer deal (if I am not mistaken it was yourself).

As for the Glutathione, many people use a more cost effective method of supplementing NAC, Selenium, and Melatonin orally, although Liposomal GTH is the best it terms of effectiveness. IMHO Reduced Glutathione for liposomal encapsulation is used best as a cofactor for either of the two coenzymes CoQ10 and ALA (which are both poorly absorbed orally). One part GTH to 1/2 part CoQ10 or ALA. The Lipo C would be good maybe 2x weekly while you could take the CoQ10 or ALA daily. You could rotate the CoQ10 and ALA on a daily or weekly basis.

Given these recommendations, it could only be surmised that your energy levels will greatly increase, as well as generally improving the overall health of both body & mind (especially in the aging or declining process).

My warning is not about DMSO, which I use and recommend. My warning is about listening to Clark about leaving cats outside. Stop the witch hunt on cats and stay on subject. DMSO. Cats have nothing to do with DMSO. Totally not related. Cats are not parasite givers. USE DMSO, ignore Clark's advise about indoor cats... not related at all.

Uh yea, Hulda Clark would have us all living in pressurized, sterilized, hermetically sealed space bubbles. I read Cure for All Diseases. At first I was enthused and it sounded kind of right. But the further along I read the more I realized Dr. Clark had developed some kind of obsessive/compulsive disorder bordering on total paranoia. What kind of life would one live if they followed all of Clark's directives? There is such a thing as too clean. We do have immune systems. I love cats.

DMSO topical application

I used DMSO for the first time last night (topically), as a guinea pig test before using it on my boyfriend's back.

On another note, the pain relief was amazing! I hadn't realised how much my feet normally hurt. I have a condition called "Haglund's Deformity" and also some excess bone in my feet which causes me much pain. I wasn't having a "sore feet" day, but I noticed with utter amazement after trying it on 1 foot only that the other was was actually hurting quite a bit. I must be so used to it that I ignore it normally. The foot I tried the DMSO on felt "buoyant", that's the only was I can describe it. Light and slightly tingly, complete absence of pain or aching. And I only applied it at 3 points on the skin! I'm looking forward to experimenting more with this amazing substance, and hoping it will provide some relief for my BF who suffers from "Scheuermann's Disease".

I just had a question for anyone with experience -- it's left my skin puckered and dry feeling, like when you been in the bath too long and you "prune", only it's dried out now. Will this go away??? I would assume it does but I'm hoping I haven't done myself any permanent damage! I left cotton swabs soaked in the solution on my skin for about half an hour and it stung so i took them off, then noticed this skin effect.

Dear Hobart, I read your post on DMSO how when you applied it to your test areas and the skin puckered and felt dry. I have done the same thing on my finger where I have really bad joint pain. It took away the pain but left my finger puckered, pruned and sensitive to touch. Did it go away or is there still damage to the tissue where you applied it? I haven't seen an answer to your post. So I am hoping you can tell me if your skin went back to normal or not. Thank you

DO NOT USE DMSO FULL STRENGTH@ 99% DMSO is a powerful agent and some of you are using it full strength and out of plastic roll on containers which is not advisable. It must be used and stored out of glass as it will take some of the plastic with it if used from plastic. It must be applied from a small glass container to which you have cut it at least by HALF if it is a 50% solution, even with 70%. It will work if used responsibly but it is caustic if you apply it to the skin without diluting it with water or aloe and it will burn and damage tissues initially before they heal at full strength. You could even get a swollen tongue as epithelial cells slough off too quickly so exercise caution. And please remember, Whatever it touches goes into the skin with it.

My wife has Rheumatoid Arthritis so I rubbed and massaged DMSO on her hands, feets, knees, shoulder etc. (mixed with castor oil)The whole process took 30 minutes. After my hands looked like prunes. But it went away an hour later. That night I did the process again. This time the prune look stayed with me all night, no matter how hard I tried I could do nothing. No lotions made any difference. Eventually it cleared up by the end of the day. I didn't use DMSO anymore but just the castor oil. But then 2 days later tried again but with more castor oil (before it was only 50:50 mixture). Now the finger tips didn't get the prune look, though they are a little "tender."

The way DMSO works means that it is very dehydrating to skin. After you use it, maybe 10 minutes later, put some quality oil on your skin, I use castor oil but it can be anything that is healthy. You'll need this to rehydrate the skin.

I've only had that puckering when I've touched water after DMSO application. The same as when staying in water for a long time. Seems it sped up the absorption of the water through my skin where the DMSO was. Also could be chemicals from cotton swab if not Organic cotton?

Regarding DMSO, I have used it both internally and externally for years with what I feel are very good results. I take 1 tsp of the 99.9% pure liquid every morning along with cider vinegar and H2O2 in a glass of water. Since I've been doing this, I can get out of bed in the morning, stand up straight and walk like a normal person. I also use DMSO / aloe vera gel for aches and pains from arthritis. I am 75 and have peripheral neuropathy due to agent orange in Vietnam, and DMSO gel is also a big pain reliever for my achy feet and hands.

You can buy both products on Amazon, but I found the pure liquid is cheaper at " Pet Meds". The gel is 70% DMSO and 30% aloe. From all I've read, and that's quite a lot, it is more effective at the 70 / 30 ratio when applied toppically.

If you want to learn more about DMSO, there is a good but short book available online from "HOOPLA". I don't remember the authors name, but the book is, "What Doctors Need to Know about DMSO."

At present time, I am also using it topically to treat my 'shingles', and it is working unbelievably well. I simply apply the gel several times a day. It has stopped the spread and kept the rash to limited space, as well as reducing pain.

You're really not an old fart, I am at 80, you're a young fart at 75. I thought hydrogen peroxide is dangerous to drink?

you use DMSO 1 Tsp dmso (99.9%) with Is it ACV apple cider vinegar or regular vinegar? You drink it on an empty stomach?

I drink 2Tbsp of ACV in a glass of water with 1/2 lemon juice and 1/2 Tsp of organic, raw honey every morning on an Empty stomach, I can eat 2-3 minutes later and lost 55 lbs. I will add DMSO 1tsp to fight my severe arthritis in back and neck. You also used DMSO gel that has Aloe Vera? I never heard of that, do you use it for neuropathy pain? I also have that in my feet and enlarged prostate and UTI urinary tract infection, maybe someone has a new recipe I can try. Thank you all. Germany 1961-1964 Army
