Hello all. With the codex, around the corner and the governments of the world trying to come out against vitamins and other natural supplements. I was thinking that we all could benefit from a page that gives us natural sources of vitamins and minerals. For example, sources such as oranges for vitamin C. I would like to know what sources of foods ( Both wild sources and sources that we find in our gardens )that supply high dosages of vitimans and minerals. We may all be searching the wilderness before long for substitutes. So where can we get L-Lysine, in a natural sources, other than a pill and etc. I hope you understand what I am asking for.

Also I would love to see pictures of wild edible plants, found in nature and food that can cure or provide nutrients for us. Like what the rain forest and Native Americans used. Native American cures page would be wonderful or rain forest cures. Bark from trees or any sources.

Rebel, First, people must be united to demand our right to foods, herbs, spices, supplements. Second, those with a yard can stop mowing grass and start raising herbs and spices. For those who have no yard, there are indoor growing kits for foods like mushrooms and sprouts. Sprouts, are one of nature's most nutritionally dense foods. Also Bee products like pollen, royal jelly, and propolis are nutrient dense. Eat cooked chicken or calf liver at least once a week, as liver also is a nutrient dense food.

I would love to purchase, from Earth Clinic, some booklets with favorite remedies for common ailments, not just apple cider vinegar, to give out at Christmas to acquaintances, family, and friends.

Thank you.

Do you have an address to send donations? I prefer not using paypal, etc.

Wondering if you're going to get a tab for DMSO alone? Also, I've written quite a few questions and feedback and never has it been posted. Am I doing something wrong or do you pick and choose what gets posted?

Thanks

EC: There actually is a section for DMSO under supplements. Also, if you do a search for your name and location in the upper right box, you will find your posts.

Well, I for one did not know what DMSO is. There are so many acronyms tossed about these days it is helpful to at least know what it is you are talking about. Also, the more information you provide as to what it is used as a treatment for will be much more likely to get a response. I found this website that discusses DMSO [ dimethylsulfoxide ] as a treatment for a number of serious ailments: http://www.rxlist.com/dmso_dimethylsulfoxide/supplements.htm

I'm not sure how well this will go down, but I'd like to make a suggestion apologies to those who find this in bad taste.

I recently had some UFOs (Unidentified Floating Objects) along with my bowel movements and a google search of the description led me to a site called poop report. The comments on this site were mostly random nonsense, however some were quite informative and others were absolutely hilarious.

My suggestion is that we could start a page here for folk to anonymously share any unusual / worrying goings on in the toilet department. Where questions such as - is it normal, is it serious, is it IBS or is it fungus etc. could be answered.

Just thought I'd put it out there.

After posting a recipe for fermented salsa under the fermented foods section of this site, I thought it would be a great idea to post healthy recipes in a section for that purpose.

BTW, I love this site, though I am a newcomer, I love to contribute my knowledge and experiance.

Hello, I was wondering if a page could be added for Oil of Oregano as a remedy? I understand it has quite a few uses and it is very potent. What do you think?

Andreea

EC: It is listed under supplements under oregano oil: https://www.earthclinic.com/supplements/oregano-oil.html

Hello,

I'm new to EC and I made a comment on the HS page under Tumeric (04/24/11) and I didn't want my comment to be under someone elses comment, mine was a comment not a reply.

I just looked at my comment and it's under someones comment that has nothing to do with my issue.

I wanted to post my own comment - not sure how to do that - I just keep seeing reply.

Could you please tell me how to post comments on the HS page under Tumeric.

Thanks.

EC: Hi Justsayin,

Starting a new thread or topic is simple: Just click on the "Give Feedback" button on the right side of the browser window or the "Submit Posts" link at the top of the page and write your post!

We just deleted and reposted your feedback on Hidradentis Suppurativa in a new thread.

Hi Summer, Nigari is pronounced like the English Knee-Gah-Ree. (Gah like Got but without the T. Ree like Read but without the D. ). Look "Nigari" on Youtube for the supplement drop commerical. The woman in the beginning says it with an accent but the Japanese guy later in the video says it right.

I don't know if this would be within the intended scope of the website, but I would consider homemade alternatives to commercial makeup health related as far as preventative medicine is concerned. I would love to see a section on that or maybe a link to another resource as an alternative. I already use henna/indigo to dye my hair. I would be interested to see what people might use for eyeliner, lipstick, blush etc. Thanks!

I don't use henna for my hair as it is dyed so it seems that henna wouldn't work but I have just found some terrific products in my health store which have greatly improved my hair. Although I have hardly any perm anymore and my hair is longer than it has been in a long time it is shiny and bouncy and I don't have to wash it more than once a week. The brand is Beliflor but it might be a French brand although maybe they sell online. My hair was always very thin, greasy, would just hang with no life...... I think that a healthier lifestyle has made a difference as well although I have had a tough year as far as health goes. Funny that my hair is looking far better now at 53..... I use their rinse aid and also colored rinse and dye. Because of the colored rinse I don't need to color so often as it covers the gray hairs quite nicely.

For my face I often use coconut oil (and body) or else other natural oils after first rinsing with undiluted ACV (I have a darker, Mediterranean skin so maybe not for everybody! ). I am trying to go natural as much as I can! Once in a while I also wash my face with bicarbonate of soda putting it on my wet hand and rubbing on my face. I do a lot of infrared sauna too. Many people think that I am 20 years younger! I am actually looking for a good book on natural products you can make at home. I have one with a lot of tips which I will review here when the book page is ready but I hope to find one with even better tips!

Can you please tell us the natural remedies for hyperpigmentatin, melasma and skin colour improvement?

To sunny from Chennai india. Hi sunny x being mixed raced myself (too many to say as I'm just a crazy mixed up kid as the doc's in hospital said when I was taken ill as a teenager) they were looking for an illness which effects indigenous races. Which because I was so ill they were looking for an illness which affects only certain races. One of the things they were looking for because I also had a pigmentation problem, white patches all over my body, etc, were sickle cell disease and a lot more besides that. Anyway, I took zinc tablets for it. It also helped my friends daughter who is Indian and it cleared up her problem. Also it could possibly stress fungus, which is in turned stress related to the fact that when u r stressed out, instead of getting what ails you off your chest at the time, you keep to yourself. If your skin is patchy and raised(by this I mean your skin especially round the neck and chest area look very raised like a frogs skin looks, this could may be the problem.

Here in the UK we have some thing called nizorol shampoo. You have to bathe and leave it on 3 times weekly for 5 minutes then rinse it off. It also comes in tablet form but, my doctor told me because its a fungicide its better to use the shampoo to stop the side effects of the fungicide getting in to your system. If your doctor can't prescibe it, or its not avalible in India, I will try my best to get it from the UK and send it to you. But I myself would try the zinc tablets for a few weeks to see if there's any improvement as this is what myself and other people cleared it up without any nasty chemicals did the job brilliantly with out having to go down the chemical path.

I hope this helps you. May you be covered by the healing light, and shine as brightly as a star, but always remember what you are, we're all gods children, but this is easy to forget when you are hurting. I will add you to the ever growing list of people I am praying for. And I count my blessings everyday, such as a roof over my head access to medical help, (which is probably not much better than a lot of people get) But I am grateful for any advice I find on earth clinic. Its a wonderful site where you can get better healing messages than someone pumping drugs into you which are more harmful than helpful. And please remember that there's a lot of people here who have compassion for each others suffering and will try to help you. I hope I have restored your faith in getting well. May the gods smile on you gracefully Andrea X X X X

What an interesting request! Here is a contribution: Brazil recently had presidential elections. The "green" candidate once mentioned in an interview that because she is allergic to regular lipstick she uses peels from beets to color her lips. I'm a guy and don't wear makeup, but I immediately remembered that when I read the original post.

Hi tina X Thank you for the beautifully reply to my post for sunny X
I know by your response that you too are a caring person. I just try to do my best to help those who are suffering. Like the Beatles once sang " all you need is love". Although this is true, there are those who think, or vocalise "take your tablets" when all it would take just a bit of time and and kindness. As my mum, who sadly passed away from cancer, used to tell my brother whose got no time for anyone when their ill, "a kind word would be nice". I joined earth clinic, because the people around me just expect me to be there when they have a crisis. But as my best friend said "you set the precedence by looking after every one and doing what ever it took to make sure they're OK". Everyday feels like a year when you are hurting. But I know from the times when my fibro, or whatever ailment is hard to bare, there's only me myself I, that looks after me. Yes it hard, and most days its unbearable. But I try to do my best for myself rather than let the doc bang more drugs into me. And although it would be the easy option, I am now once again, suffering getting myself off meds, which I know caused a blizzard of yet more illnesses. I don't mean that we should play follow the leader and everyone flush their meds down the the toilet, especially from a withdrawal from hell after stopping certain meds, but another thing we all need to be aware of is certain health supplements can clash badly with pharmaceutical meds.

I use a site called (if I'm allowed to mention it} http://DRUGS.COM
To check if there are any interactions with herbal or supplemental natural meds. Anyway, I send you love, hugs, and kisses and will pray for you also to find what it is you seek X If any one needs a website they can purchase natural remedies from I will try my best to find one here in the UK where you can get Gods pharmacy products from. If it takes a little time for me, to help those other poor souls who are suffering, to get any info that I can, don't give up please. Its only because I'm in to much pain to be able to use my PC. Like now!!! (HA! HA! ) So I'll say TTFN (ta ta for now)AND DON'T GIVE UP!! THINGS NEED TIME TO WORK, AND ABSOLUTE DEDICATION!!! God took 7 days to make the world, but we're not god, we are his children. As much as we all wish we could rid ourselves and our loved ones in a week, of their suffering, we have to be patient, or end up being one. May the loving words of our prayers be heard, not just for ourselves, but for all our fellow sufferers X hi and bye for now Tina, and thanks again for your lovely reply. May The Force Be With you and gods love and affection also. Andrea c X X X X X

Nameste, sunny from india x I will buy what you need to make yourself well. I don't want any payment for it, I just want you all to be well again. If you can e-mail under "latest post's at earth clinic, with your e-mail address, I will get what you need in the uk, and I'll send it to you. I hope this gives you a bit of peace of mind. I'm just a friend who has health problems too. But I hope you aren't offended by my offer of help. X I hope this message gives you less stress. Times are hard for everyone, even more so when you are unwell. Only the people suffering different illnesses knows how hard it can be. Please have faith that, there are, a lot of fellow sufferers on "earth clinic" who would do any thing to help any and everyone, as best as they can. They are good people, who besides looking for help for thier own ailments, will bend over backwards to help other people who are suffering with thier own health problems. One love, one heart, to all our brothers and sisters who are suffering, and may our god/godesses wave thier hand over us all who are suffering and heal us. With love andrea c X X X

Hello. I just discovered your website yesterday and I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for the invaluable service you are providing to the world! I had one "wish list" item I wanted to suggest. It would be great if people could check off posts that they like and have them saved somewhere in their account profile for future reference -- like a "favorite posts" or "recipe box" or "save this" type of feature. Just a thought. Keep up the great work and thank you again!

EC: Hi Christine,

Thanks for the feedback. We already offer this "Watched Posts" feature to our registered members. Once you become a member and login, simply click on the "Watch" icon at the bottom of each thread and it will go into your account.
