YEA!!!!!!!! I was soooo happy to find this site! I have suffered from hot flashes for over 3 years now and had gotten to the point that I was having one several times an hour. I began taking 2 tsps organic raw ACV mixed with water and organic stevia extract in the morning and evening about a week ago. I can't stand the smell or taste of vinegar, but was at wit's end, so I tried it. With the stevia, it is tolerable. I am now down to approximately 1 hot flash a day!!!!!!!! Wow Wow Wow Wow. Thank you ladies for the info, I am forever grateful.

I was taking the store brand of apple cider vinegar for hot flashes. It was working very well. Then, I switched to the organic brand with "mother" in it because of testimonies I had read on the importance of using the raw organic ACV. Immediately, my stomach gurgled, churned, and I had terrible diarrhea. I stuck with it for a few days figuring it was just detox. Finally, not being able to stand it anymore, I switched back to the store brand that is filtered, and I am well again. Either way, my hot flashes go away. I take 1 tablespoon of ACV with 1/4 tsp. Baking soda mixed into about 1/2 cup water. It works perfectly!

HELP! I've read so much about ACV and Baking Soda helping so many women for hot flashes but have not seen anyone post about this problem I'm having.
Tried the ACV and BS remedy yesterday evening. Two hours later I had severe itching on my torso area, under my breasts and under my arm pits. Didn't think at the time that maybe the ACV and BS might have something to do with it.
Before bedtime, I took another dose (2TBLSP ACV w/ 1/4 TSP BS in a glass of water). Woke up two hours later from the heat in my body AND severe itching on my hands and feet! It was driving me crazy! It's been an hour now since the itching woke me up and it's subsided a little. Has anyone had this experience?
I used to take ACV (organic, with the "mother") with honey all the time, twice a day, before my pre-menopausal symptoms and never had a problem w/ it.
Hoping to get some responses out there!

I am taking 2 tbls in the morning and then again after my evening meal. I find it hard to take on an empty stomach because it is so acidic. All I can say is that I have experienced a 75% decrease in the number and 90% decrease in the intensity of my hot flashes in the past 3 days that I have taken the AVC. I do take it w/ 1/4 teasp. of baking soda just to cut the acid a bit more. I am pretty darn happy!

Hi would just like to start by telling you I do appreciate reading this site - it is of great help especially with the ACV - I started four days ago and take 2 tbspn in glass of water when I get up and 2 tblspn before I go to bed. It has helped me 90 - 95% - I was waking up so hot and bothered, but now I don't. The only thing now is my body has been used to waking up I expect it will take a little while to get used to sleeping through the night, but will keep you posted in about a month's time.

ACV has worked wonders for me. It took a few days before symptoms started subsiding, and now, 3 weeks later, I have very few, mild hot flashes. Before, I was having several flashes each hour. I have been taking two tablespoons in the morning and evening in water. I have gone from being completed soaked in sweat at night, unable to sleep to sleeping through the night. If you are as desperate as I was, this is so worth a try! The more organic type really is more effective.

Unbelievable! I have tried all sorts of remedies, prescription and natural, acupuncture, etc. , with not much relief. The bioidentical estrogen patch worked for the hot flashes but made me so irritable I was unfit to live with!
I tried the ACV last night and this morning and I have had only a few very mild hot flashes since the first dosage -- perhaps 5 total all day when I was having that many in a single hour! I have been carrying a small towel with me for the past year!
What is it in the ACV that works? It is made less effective by alkaline water (to neutralize the acid a bit -- hard on the stomach! )? Is that what the baking soda does which I was reading about?
Very curious and very grateful! I hope it lasts!

I tried the AVC and so far I have not had any HF's! My hormones seem to be balanced. I should get a saliva test for my hormones to check them. I read saliva testing is more accurate than blood testing. I am reading a book called, "hormone balance made simple" by Dr. John Lee and I highly recommend it. He has other books as well. The next one I buy will be "What the Doctor's don't tell you about perimenopause". U might check into his books if U R going through perimenopause, menopause, etc. I am also going to buy me some black strap molasses. But back to the ACV. It seems to be helping me. A thumbs up for the ACV! Wishing you all the very best!

This website has saved my sanity. I started the ACV last night and my flashes are nearly gone! I got my first full nights sleep in over a year. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this with me. I am about to just put a straw in a bottle of ACV and keep it in my purse!!!

I've never heard of using oil pulling for hot flashes, but if it's like 'killing two birds with one stone' then it's with trying. I have done OP in the past but never with coconut oil. But I'll start tomorrow morning... I wanted to suggest what I use for hot flashes, 1 tbsp. Apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp. Honey, 1/2 cup. Hot water. I drink it every evening and my hot flashes have disappeared.

Wow, I am so happy I ran across this page while doing a search for hot flash home remedies. As I read I could not get over how many of us (women) have this problem. Mine started in 2006 after a hysterectomy I was then put on a low dose HRT. In 2008 I had my first heart attack at 45 just two weeks before my 46th birthday. My doctor took me off of them. Then the dreaded hot flashes and night sweats started. I was having them like every 15mins. I became very depressed and angry. I begged my heart doctor to let me get back on them he said ok and I did. Then heart attack #2 came in 7/09. Once again I was off of them and within no time at all BAM they were back. Was put back on a low low dose of HRT just to taper them out and by 12/09 I was back in the hospital with another heart attack. I have been HRT free since only trying Black Cohash only to find it doesn't work for me.
After reading about ACV and water I told my husband and we rushed out and got some last night. I am happy to say that after drinking 2tblsp with 8oz of flavored water (strawberry Kiwi) I am hot flash and night sweats free. So I want to thank all of you who share on here from the bottom of my heart. No more snapping at the hubby and getting some awesome sleep.

Well, think about it! For how many years have our elders been telling us that an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Well what is ACV but pure apple. The best you can get is _____ organic with the mother in it! You want the mother, thats the real good stuff. You can find _____ at health food stores! I started using ACV for the flu I had real bad and almost had to go to the hospital. ACV 2-3 times a day pulled me out of it. It is actually reccomended for many problems. Sinus, congestion, weight loss, acid reflux, ect... So I am not suprised to find it for hot flashes. I just take a big ol swig out of the bottle or use a shot glass and chase with lots of water. I still dont like the taste but I dont like to be on any medications that I dont have to be on. The taste doesnt last that long. I have had night flashes after I pee off and on for a couple of years and now they are coming in the day. For many years now after finding this site I have been reccomending it to many people for many things. My friends husband has gout.....ACV!
You can google ACV and find many sites that give you all the uses or you can just look here. Earthclinic has been my doctor now for a while. I always come here first before going to the doctor if I know what the problem is. It is an immune booster plain and simple and it wont hurt you! I can even take it on an empty stomach which is saying a lot.

I have been having hot flashes for months now all day, and all night... It's MISERABE. Hot, sticky, wet... Then freezing. Peel the clothes off, kick the sheets/blankets down, then shivering and grabbing for the covers. I went to my Dr. And told her something was wrong with me. She said. Your 49... It's normal and I said but mine are like ALL the time, mabye I have a disease?... She laughed at me and said again, it's NORMAL, you DON'T have a disease... None of my women friends have them as often as I do, so I was still sure I had something WRONG with me. Finding this site and reading that I'm not the only one going through this makes me feel much better... Though I AM sorry for my fellow sufferers. I can't wait to try ACV. I have some at home and as SOON as I'm there I'm going to try it. Truthfully, I have a hard time believing it will work for "me" as I think I'm an exception to most rules with stuff like this, But I AM hopeful. I will write again soon with my update.
