Apple cider vinegar for genital warts.

Hi. I'm going through a divorce and have been 'dating' since moving out of the house. I noticed what looked like a couple of genital warts in December.

My girlfriend had to take a trip, so I thought I'd give ACV a try. I didn't find this site until after I'd botched the treatment. I drink a little ACV everyday, so it didn't occur to me how strong it really is. I soaked a cotton pad that was in contact with my shaft and head for about 2 nights, then just a pad on my shaft for a couple more nights. Needless to say it was painful and I've developed infections under the head, on each side of the glans, I believe it's called. I didn't use HP nor did I use antiboitic creams, until after I stopped with the ACV, which is when the infections developed. I am now using a couple of different creams that seem to be slowly working in clearing up what look like acne pimples. The ACV also burned some of the skin near the bottom of my shaft, which turned black, then white, and the white is almost all gone. The new skin seems very sensitive and sometimes develops pimples that go away in a day or two. I'm hoping that everything clears up soon. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any advice? I plan to keep up with the creams until everything is cleared up. I'll post my results. Thanks. I'm not sure how I'll tell my girlfriend. What I've got now looks a hell of a lot worse than a couple of warts.

I had similar results when I used ACV. The vinegar cleared about half of the warts, but did not affect the ones that looked like pimples. I also had to stop the ACV treatment because of scaring which I still have. I have been using tea tree oil which has been making them much smaller, but the stubborn basterds still won't fully go away. What creams are you using that have been working for you?

Well, I finally broke down and went to see a doctor, who's actually more like an old friend, so I felt comfortable talking to him about my situation. He said that I should have come to him earlier. I've got to stop using creams for a two days and then go get a swab sample of the white tissue on my shaft analyzed. He said that it looks like the ACV burnt through a couple of layers of sensitive skin. May have to take some antibiotics or use a cream. A neosporin type cream seemed to cause some irritation to the sensitive skin areas, after using it for a while. He said, that in the end, the white skin area could have a small scar, worst case scenario. I feel much better having a doctor now supervising my botched treatment. I just hope that after all that I've been through, I'll finally get everything cleared up. My girlfriend has been pretty cool about the whole thing. It was hard breaking the news. It's even harder not being able to be with her sexually. I know the whole subject is pretty embarassing, but I wish I that would hsve consulted the doc sooner. He's into natural treatments, too. Probably could have overseen the whole ACV treatment regimen and saved me alot of problems, in the end.

I have been using the paper towel soaked in ACV wrapped in saran wrap for about 5 days. It is effective in killing the warts that were already there. However, it seems that new warts are popping up everywhere... like the ACV is spreading them somehow. Any advice? I have gotten very discouraged after initally having some optimism

it could be and very well so that the new warts that you are seeing and believing to be spreading are actually warts that were invisible to your eye. you can have warts and not even see them. this was my experience. just keep at it. take breaks if you need to. remember that everyones experience is different. Good luck and please post back with your story when you are finished. many people need encouragment.:)

In the MMS book it says Jim Humble tells how to make this miracle mineral thing out of store bought items. If it were so good why don't you post how to make it instead of redirecting us to a site that sells stuff?

Apple cider vinegar: Trying for the first time tonight and praying it works. Was just diagnosed today and am mortified. I have been dating someone for the last 3 months. How do I tell him without him running for the hills!

Hi Katie, Don't worry about this. The truth is, these warts (in my opinion) have nothing to do sex. I'm a guy and was terrified to find several on my anus. No sexual activity I ever engaged in could explain that. ACV got rid of ALL of them. Most of it was gone on the third and forth day. One was stubborn, but I kept going. Don't overdue it and let it become too sensitive/irritated. If it is, take a break one day and start all over. You may also gently scratch the outer surface of them once you have done this for a few days, and keep going on until they are gone. Trust me, it works!

I completely agree with you that these things are not necessarily transmitted sexually. I have been married for 5 years and I assure you that I did not live a promiscuous life before him. It's extremely strange because he does not have any GW's AT ALL...and I sure as hell have not been sleeping around in the last 6 months that these annoying things started popping up (my mate solemnly swears that he didn't either). I got one about 6 months ago. It started out as a little pimple actually. I like to keep myself hair free so the head of the pimple was constantly being shaved off. One day I noticed that the pimple had morphed into a freaky little thing that I thought was a skin tag. Gradually smaller ones started developing in a little area around my anus where I had minor razor burn. I definitely don't think I got this sexually. I was embarrassed to go to my gyno, but there have been even more developing around my anus area recently so I knew I had to get it checked. Obviously I was diagnosed with "sexually transmitted" HPV and informed that these little 'skin tags' were in fact condylomas (GW's).

I was prescribed this uber expensive cream called Aldara. Thank god I have good insurance because 24 doses costs $720! Thankfully I only had to pay $25. It was really stupid of me to fill the script because after I researched the active ingredient I learned that more times than not Aldara fails to work completely, and in many cases has caused patients a permanent weakening of the immune system! Not to mention there are widespread cases of serious side-effects such as severe flu symptoms, permanent skin scarring, infertility and anaphylactic shock! (I research pharmaceuticals for a living, so I'm not talking out of my arse here).

Anyway, I'll take ACV please.

I know I might be rambling, but I'm elated that I found this site and this cure. I did my first treatment tonight. I had to think creatively in order to treat all the areas. I ended up taking two tampon cottons, soaking them in ACV then adhering them--one in the front, one in the back-- with large bandaids (I'm glad I'm hair free.) I then used a plastic publix bag (to stop any dripping) and wrapped it around the bandaging. Then I put on an oversized pair of granny panties and proceeded to watch my shows for a couple hours! It was horribly stinky, and definitely burned a bit, but they turned all white and I noticed one that already seems like it's 'lifting'. I plan on doing it again tomorrow before my morning shower, and again at night.

I wish you guys all the best :D

Well....I am sold on ACV. After a drastic attempt using petty spurge, which worked, but which removed all of the skin and the warts in one go, but which had them coming back in much-increased numbers, possibly due to the extensive skin damage, I decided to use ACV. I thought it was never going to work, and it probably took the best part of three weeks, but it DEFINITELY WORKED!

The warts did not turn black, though some became rather greyish before they finally came off.

I used some steroid cream and some antibiotic ointment on the area to aid healing and prevent infection.

If any more appear I shall just keep up with the ACV. There was a bit of stinging but, by and large, it wasn't too bad at all. And, after being told by an "expert" that ACV "won't work", I am pleased to report that it DEFINITELY DOES! You have to give your skin a break to prevent too much damage, but at least you can judge it fairly well.

I didn't even have to bother with cotton-wool. Just used carefully-folded wads of toilet paper which stayed in position all night.

Thank God for this site, and I'm not religious!

I used ACV arround my anus for 3 days. i left for 2-3 hours a day. never tried overnight because it seemed burning my skin. but i did get rid of my GW that was arround my anus. dont leave it too long or overnight if you are having sored skin. also let it heal for 1-2 days. dont use anything.try again. im sure you can get rid of it.

When trying to deal with things like anal warts which, let's face it, are not exactly easy to see clearly, I found the following approach to be helpful.

I used a long, narrow cheval mirror which I placed on the floor and squatted over it, with my back towards the centre of the room (and thus the lights). This had the effect of opening up the anal area as well as could be done, but also directing the reflected overhead light exactly onto the area. It gave me a clear, well-lit view of exactly what I was dealing with.

The long mirror makes it easier to adjust your position to maximize the lighting, without having to change the angle of the mirror, or the position of your rear-end.Also the butt-cheeks are well spread apart, freeing both hands for applying medication etc.

I just found it all so much easier once I had adopted that method.

I have posted here before when I first started trying this several months ago. At first, I was just dealing with one on the right side of my shaft that was about 1/8" wide. After a while, some of it turned black and part of it fell off. I stopped after that to let it heal. Well.. there was also one on the left side of the shaft that was pretty small and I wasn't doing anything with that one.

A couple days ago, I decided to go at them.. both. I put some ACV on a piece of cotton (2 pieces) and applied each piece of cotton to each wart and then wrapped my shaft with that medical tape thread stuff. I left it on over night. Took it off in the morning. Both were white. I left the bandage off to give them some air. They both started to and eventually turned black. The smaller one fell off a couple days ago. The larger one.. that one stayed around and itched like crazy until last night.. I guess I was itching and it was ready and popped off. SWEET! That SOB has been there for about 10 years. Finally got rid of em.. for now. This stuff works.

Just let them breathe for a while after you remove the cotton and ACV. Also.. the ACV WILL irritate/burn the skin around the wart if you put a huge piece of cotton filled with ACV over it..... so try to make the cotton piece about the size of the wart. Also, don't go for really long periods of time. That and if some burning around the wart happens, dont put any ACV there for a day or 2 and let the skin around the wart heal up. You don't want to be burning that skin over and over and over.. let it breathe. Good Luck!

Ok so I just have one small wart on the opening of my vagina... it's very small. At first I thought it was a skin tag, but I was diagnosed with HPV last summer and that is when it appeared. My doctor said it looked like it was from the HPV. I was totally ecstatic when I saw this site! Everyone is so awesome for posting their stories, so that no one has to feel alone in this!

Basically I've been trying the apple cider vinegar treatment for 3 days now and nothing has happened. The wart has turned white, but it's not turning black or anything. I've been using a bandaid and soaked cotton ball on the wart for long periods of time, usually at least 5 hours during the day and then sleeping with it on at night. I'm surprised it hasn't turned black yet, it shows no signs of falling off.

In the mean time the rest of my skin is getting pretty burned and damaged from all the apple cider treatment. I'm not sure what to do, or how to make my wart come off. Also, I've not been using Hydrogen Peroxide like some people, just ACV. Does the HP really make a big difference in the treatment?

Okay, girls, I need your help on this one (regarding internal warts). Guys, this might be too much info for ya!

I got my warts zapped twice w/ liquid nitrogen, but they came back (note: not as much, though! Seems to have helped).

Well, after two months without sex with my boyfriend (long-distance AND I was out of the country for a month!), we finally did the dirty.

Ohhh, Lord, I knew something wasn't right-- it hurt, right up against my vaginal walls. Ughhh. I had a feeling I had internal warts, even though the external ones were gone.

I've been reading here about the extreme methods people go through-- keeping apple cider vinegar on for 24 hours or overnight. I'm trying to be really gentle because I don't want to do any damage/scarring.

I soaked a small cotton pad with 2 parts water, 1 part ACV and rolled it up and stuck it in my vagina for two hours. I took it out and there were definitely some white areas. Gross.

I'm planning on doing 2 hours for three times a day (maybe less... don't want to overdo it-- although is it less effective if you spread it out like that?)

QUESTIONS:

- The tampon thing, does it work if you insert a tampon normally or do you need it closer to the opening of the vagina b/c the warts are there? How many other girls have tried this? I know Lola has, but I want to hear if others have, too.

- Has anyone had a wart outbreak after a cut in their skin? It seems like every time my boyfriend and I have sex, my perineum tears (the area between the vagina and the anus). Instead of healing, I started getting a growth in its place, like a half an inch long. That's when I was diagnosed. I feel like that's what caused these outbreaks by allowing the virus to enter or something.

Anyways! Any help would be wonderful.

I wouldn't be too much help on your first question, but you are right about your second. When you have a cut on your skin, small or large, it makes it much easier for warts to start growing there. I have found that by constantly applying hydrogen peroxide, and vitamin E oil, 2-3 times a day, helps a lot from preventing further growths. Also try to keep the area as dry as possible.

Reporting back on this--

I didn't have any conclusive evidence with the apple cider vinegar when used on internal genital warts.

I used a diluted solution with a tampon for 6 hours (broken up into 2 parts) for 2 days, plus put ACV on cotton balls and stuffed it into the opening of my vagina. I didn't see any discharge or any indication that the ACV was working, so I stopped because it hurt too badly.

The ACV also burned my skin and the inside of my vagina-- I went to the free clinic to see if they could zap any warts and when the doctor put the speculum in, I was practically screaming because I was so tender.

I've also been taking so many vitamins: B-complex, garlic, beta carotene, multivitamin, echinacea. I've kept up with this regimen.

Finally, yesterday I found a liquid vitamin E at Wegmans, a supermarket. Instead of putting the drops under my tongue as directed, I've been laying on my back on my bed and insert the dropper into my vagina-- this way, the vitamin E can go far in, perfect for those hard-to-reach warts.

I think my warts are getting better-- when I insert the dropper or feel around with some toilet paper, it doesn't hurt as much as it used to.

On a side note, my external warts haven't been back since, thank God. Not sure why that is.

Hope this provides some extra ideas!

I also forgot to mention that when I was doing the tampon treatment, I was getting a pinkish discharge, which I assume was blood mixed with something else, not the discharge the other Earth Clinic users had talked about. This was scary, so that was another reason why I stopped the tampon treatment.

I am also taking alot of vitamins (E, C, multivitamin... etc.) and running and exercising every day... so pretty much doing everything im suposed to.

My doctor said i have I have Condylomata acuminata. and when i was looking at different kind of warts on internet, mine just looked different! mine looks like a bug bite... its about the size of pumpkin seed and just red most of the time... idk... anyways, i just DONT see how this thing is just gona fall off... so if anyone had something like that and could help me, i would really appreciate it!!!

I have tried the acv for weeks, and i couldnt stand it anymore, was actually crying from the pain, i would fear to go to bed at night, cause thats when i taped the acv cotton pad to myself.when i took it off it would throb for hours. the thing is it worked but so slow that i lost the determination to carry on.

mine was pretty bad, it started off as small little bumps and i left it, but after a surgery i had i was in shock to what i witnessed down there, it became disgusting thick coliflower clusters just by the opening of my vagina, i was horrified.

but in anyway i decided to buy 100% tca, and was very scared to use it the 1st time, but now im so happy that i did, it doesnt burn as much as the acv and you leave it on for 2 to 3 min i leave it on for 5 to make sure the buggers get killed. then you take a shower was the remaining off and you will start peeling in 1 to 2 days, you do this every 2nd day, youll see it getting smaller and smaller without any effort.but if your considering this rather do it on the clusters and big ones and dont do it inside just on the outside you can really hurt yourself, i would never have thought in a million years that i would use acid down there....but things like this drive you to do crazy things...

EC: TCA = Trichloroacetic Acid. More about it on WebMD.

Karl from Vegas, From what you described that kind of sounds like the type I have. I started with acv and got rid of about 50% of the warts, but the ones that looked like bug bites were barely affected. I have tried aldera, acid burn, freeze off, home wart remover, and nothing seemed to work on those.

I did a lot of research and found it is best to attack the virus inside as well as outside. Start taking FOLIC ACID, GARLIC PILLS, MULTIVITAMINS, and ECHINACEA. Also apply TEA TREE OIL and VITAMIN E OIL to the skin 2-3 times a day. Also get a lot of sleep and drink a lot of water. This method will take about 3-6 weeks depending on your body. It sounds like a lot but this really works and will only cost you $40-$50. I had around 50 warts, and after 3 years I am almost wart free, stick with it and you will too. Good luck!

Does anyone have experience using ACV on the glans (head) of the penis to treat genital warts? I'm guessing it might be more painful than on the shaft, but I'm more concerned about how safe and effective it is to use ACV on the glans. Thanks!

I got what I believe to be GWs after having rough sex leaving my penis chaffed. I put neosporin cream on the chaffed spots and they healed. I later felt some bumps around the vagina of the girl I was having sex with. She went to two different Gynos and was diagnosed with skin tags. I then later noticed some small bunmps appearing in the same area that experienced the chaffing. I applied acv by taking a round flat cotton swab, soaking it in acv and using medical tape to secure it to the shaft. I left it on over night and in the morning there were some white areas/clusters and other bumpy areas that didnt turn any color but got bumpy and rough. Within another day or two the areas that turned white had come off in the shower. I'm still not positive that what turns white is definitely GWs but I dont care. Now the other area is rough and bumpy but doesnt turn any color when acv is applied. I'm now wrapping my entire penis with the flat cotton rounds soaked in acv. Im gonna leave it on for 4-5 hours just to see if anything else turns white. If it doesnt I feel like its probably just some type of irritation or scabbing. Thats my story.

I have been suffering with outbreaks for nearly 11 years with GW. It is the most embarrassing thing ever! I have tried all the prescription meds, and they are horribly painful! After reading several of these posts, and seeing the Side Effects section, my recommendation to all of you using the ACV treatment, is to be absolutely sure that the ACV is only applied to the GW and trying to avoid the skin all together. I know that is what is highly recommended when using the prescriptions. My first time having an outbreak, the doctor applied a GW remover (acid) in the office and instructed me to go home in 1 hour or so, and wash off. Well I fell asleep. After waking up, I remembered and washed off. The horrible side effect was that my anus had swollen so bad that I couldn't have a BM and became constipated!!! My mom just laughed at me...but it was horrible! I am so glad that I found this website/blog. I was actually searching for homemade shampoo recipes and just happened to see this link for ACV GW... I am definitely going to try the ACV treatment, being very careful! I hate having them, and thanks to an unfaithful high school sweetheart, I will always remember him!!!! Has anyone who has had a successful try with this remedy had any additional outbreaks? I know that GW's are a virus, which is 'suppose' to always be in your system and can appear at any time. And for women who are pregnant or PMS time, you can have an outbreak and unfortunately if your pregnant, they don't recommend using the acid treatments because they aren't sure of if the chemicals are absorbed into the body and cause the fetus to be affected. That was a horrible 9 months for!!

I used apple cider vinegar to cure my genital warts and they were gone in 4 days!!! It was the first thing I tried and I was amazed with my results. I did the cotton ball dipped in apple cider vinger and ten taped it over the warts. While I was doing this I was taking 3 to 4 400mg pills of Vitiman E per day. After night one they were all white. After night 2 they were all black (which means they are close to dead) I took the next night off then did it again the following 2 nights and they were gone. However apple cider vinigar is an acid and it can cause damage to your shaft. So don't rush and when you are done with the acv treatment use neosporin and apply vitamin E directly on your skin. You can break the Vitamin E pill with a toothpick and will ooze out. do this for 3 or 4 more days and everything will be back to normal within 10 days.

Apple Cider Vinegar cured Genital Warts....I started this treatment five days ago and have a 90% success rate so far....I had a bunch of warts completely circling my anal area....The first night, I soaked a paper towel and left it on for a few hours....the second night, I applied a soaked cotton ball...I could only do this about 30 mins due to the burning....the next two nights I was able to keep the cotton ball applied for less than ten minutes - the stinging was pretty unbearable....I didn't do anything the fifth night except clean it with HP and apply some lotion w/aloe vera (I also used the lotion and HP between each of the treatments during the day).

I'm gonna wait one more day before I continue the treatment...the area was real sore and tender from the ACV "burning" the area - no visible damage, just very tender....I'm thinking a couple of more treatments on the few remaining warts and I should be ready to go.

I can't believe how well this worked - the stinging was bad, but not near as bad as the stigma attached to having the warts.... I was way too embarrassed to go to the doctor and was just hoping these things would go away on their own - they didn't. Anyhow, try it...it works!
