We were out of town on vacation so I did not have access to my usual supplements but I did have vitamin C, D, A and B12. I had some DMSO and also some raw garlic. I also never go anywhere without my Lugol's iodine. I was able to find some 3% hydrogen peroxide and also coconut oil. When she would regain consciousness I would force her to drink down what vitamins she could. I would also make her take spoonfuls of coconut oil. I crushed the raw garlic and mixed the oil with DMSO and rubbed it all along her spine. A few times I was able to get her to inhale the h2o2 in her lungs (they originally thought she had pneumonia). I also got her to oil pull once or twice. She was being treated medically with iv antibiotics and an antiviral though it seemed like nothing was helping. She was also getting breathing treatments which we finally figured out were making her worse. After about 5-6 days she finally stabilized.
On the 11th day I was able to take her home. She was still in very bad shape with weakness, fatigue, partial leg paralysis, partial facial nerve paralysis and tremors in her hands. She was down 25lbs. We continued with all the above and added fish oil. We also did some fresh fruit juices (Vegetable juice was too much for her to handle). It took several weeks but by the 6th week she was ready to get back home and was able to care for herself. She will also tell you that she sipped on red wine that she thinks helped kill off the last of the virus.
At this point, three months later, she is around 95% which I think is quite miraculous considering how severe of a case she had. She is usually a pretty healthy person. She takes no medications, she works and she sometimes will even jump on the trampoline with my kids. I think a chronic lack of sleep and stress after the death of my sister a year and a half ago got her immune system down. I hope maybe this information will be useful to someone. A lot of the things we did I learned on this site. I'm so grateful to all who share and those who make this site possible.
Methylene Blue
The easiest way to convert 2.3% MB to 0.1% MB is explained as follows:
If you multiply both values by 10 the ratio remains the same and it becomes easier to calculate and understand.
Therefore, if we have a 23% solution of MB and want to convert it to a 1% solution then the answer becomes easier to see. The ratio needed is 22 parts by volume of water to 1 part by volume of 2.3% MB. This gives an approximate 0.1% solution of MB.
"Part by volume" means that you must consistently use the same volume container to measure out both the the MB and the water. Therefore you could use something like a thimble or a capful as the volume container in the above to make up your MB solution.
Methylene Blue
Can Bill or Lisa review is the right methylene blue (1%) which Ted convert to .1% ? Most methylene blue are 2.3 %. which makes harder to convert .1%.

Baking Soda
★★★☆☆
BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS
For at least 12 years now I've relied on drinking baking soda in water whenever I would come down with some sort of viral or bacterial infection, whether it is a cold, flu, stomach bug, or respiratory illness. I am convinced this method can kill any kind of infection.
When the West Nile virus was prevalent here in Colorado a few years ago, I became infected with it. I was skeptical that my baking soda cure would work, but gave it a try anyway since I was so utterly miserable. But, sure enough, later that evening the symptoms started to subside and I was nearly recovered by the next day.
Every time I have used the baking soda method it has worked. And everyone I have suggested it to and tried it has had it work for them, too.
The remedy is 1/2 teaspoon in a cup of water 2 to 3 times each day, sipping throughout the day. Take it for approximately 2 to 3 days. If symptoms do not resolve by the end of the third day then perhaps it will not be helped by baking soda; I have not found this to ever be the case though. It works no matter what stage a person is in their infection. For stomach bugs I will also add 10-15 drops of grapefruit seed extract.
Being female, however, I have noticed that I will get a vaginal yeast infection shortly after a course of baking soda. Because I believe it affects the pH, I treat myself with an apple cider vinegar/garlic rinse (1/4 cup of ACV and one clove of garlic, quartered, in 1 cup of water). I've wondered if the baking soda also kills the good bacteria in the body so afterward I supplement myself with probiotics (specifically Lactobacillus GG, the only known beneficial bacteria to survive stomach acid).
I know people who take Airborne to fight off colds. I looked at the label one day when my friend showed me the bottle, and sodium bicarbonate is one of the main ingredients. Perhaps this is the reason it works.
I believe that if there is ever a severe viral outbreak, such as SARS or H5N1, then this remedy would be worth a try. It seems I've always relied on home remedies to successfully treat myself and your site just adds to my collection of simple therapies!
