Boswellia for pain and inflammation

I was taking hyaluronic acid for my back pain,,, it worked for a few months and then stopped working. So after doing a little research on EC, I found a supplement called boswellia, which comes from the same tree as frankincense. I went to my favorite online supplement site and ordered the sw***on double strength boswellia capsules. Within a little over a week I started noticing less pain! I will continue using it and hope it doesn't wear off the way the HA did. I still use the stoppain roll on as well. Also read it has benefits for those with asthma.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Hello! I am just wondering if a daily intake of 2 tablespoons of ACV with 8 oz. water twice a day can help prevent back pain, diarrhea, migraine, high blood pressure, and blood sugar? As preventive rather than curative?

DMSO
Posted by Robert Henry (Ten Mile , Tn.) on 02/13/2014

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I am not up to snuff. Had a fall this week while stacking firewood and my chiropractor is having little effect. I am turning on my back FIR EMITTERS and painting my lower back with 70% DMSO gel. That is helping mor' better , which is Southern for better. Dang, just because you are hurting there is no reason you can't have fun with it.

Cleaning my arms of sun damage is on the back burner. Again a Southern term. Save your Confederate money because the South is going to rise again. Just messin with you. What I am learning after these falls is that I can't do what I did as a youth. That is hard sayins.

It means that I got to start acting like an old person and that brings tears to my eyes. I know I'm on the shady side of the mountain but that is not where I want to be. I jus got to slow down and do what my ole body allows.

You young whipper snappers need to appreciate where you are and take advantage of Earth Clinic to keep yourself young. When it goes, then it goes and you can't bring it back. Most of us will not have pain in the next life. We will be dancing on the streets of gold.

Sorry for this pitty party, but I ain't feel too good.

Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil for back pain. I was in severe back pain for 6 days. I also had the flu for the first time. Today, I decided to look on earth clinic for something, anything that would make me back feel better. I had the heating pad on my back every day. I would alternate with ice packs. The ice packs helped a little. I saw that someone ate coconut cookies and it made their back feel better. I have coconut oil. Right away a took a nice amount in my hand and rubbed in my lower back and within 10 minutes the pain was gone. I've had the cure for my pain here the whole time. I also took 2 pain pills but I think the coconut oil worked right away. I'm feel so much better. I love this site!!!!!

Apple Cider Vinegar

2 tsp honey, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar in 8 to 16 ounces of water 3 times a day cured my arthritis, back pain and allergies. I was in so much pain for many many years with severe back problems, and then 2 years ago was diagnosed with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. The dr. prescribed steroids, and 2 different immuno suppressant drugs and the side effects were horrible. I could hardly get out of bed in the morning, my joints and muscles hurt so bad, i also have fibromyalgia. I started this regimen about a month ago and saw immediate results. My hay fever has cleared up also. My sinuses are dry, usually I always have a bad post nasal drip problem. I feel more energized, and my body just feels good, like it is getting what it needs.

DMSO & Castor Oil

After starting to feel a "toothache"-like ache in my lower back, I started applying a thin layer of Castor Oil first, then 7 drops of DMSO on each side. You need the oil to protect your skin as DMSO is a solvent and very drying. I made the mistake of applying the DMSO "raw" (no oil), and the resulting rash disabused me of the notion of ever doing that again.

As the days went by, I needed fewer drops and less frequently since it actually heals! It took just a few months to take care of the issue. That was 3 yrs ago and have had no recurring disc pain. DMSO doesn't just treat, it heals.

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my back by a chiropractor. he said there was nothing that I could do about it. I investigated and found articles on Borax.... I started taking it every morning. it was scary at first, taking a cleaner.

on the fifth day, I got out of bed and wow! no pain! I've been taking it for 10 years, every day. no issues. Doctors and nurses are amazed when I tell them I take it daily. it works!

Stomach Stretch

FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM BACK PAIN: SIMPLE REMEDY.

As we grow older we grow lazy, the muscles attached to the spine that was once taut have become soft and can no longer support the spine and the weight of the upper body. thus, the nerves in-between the discs of the spine get jammed, and it is these jammed nerves that give you pain. so to regain some strength in your muscles that support the spine, you MUST DO SOME EXERCISES.

THIS IS THE MOST SIMPLE AND EASY EXERCISE!

Lie on your stomach. put your hands in front of you and lift your chest up to 30degrees. count ten (seconds). when you get a hang of this, add some deep breathing. as you lift your chest, inhale. as you count ten, hold your breath. as you lower your chest, exhale.

Do this every day of the first week. after that, you can do it just once or twice a week. maybe you could lift your chest further up...40-50degrees. (dont break your spine trying too hard! )

I HOPE YOU CAN HELP YOURSELF.

Lemons
Posted by Cfitz (Georgia) on 05/18/2022

Hello, Maggie!

Funny I just came across your post, because yesterday I typed up a list of the benefits of lemon juice. Here 'tis:

Drink Warm Lemon Water Every Morning: 1 Tbsp in 8 oz warm water

Helps You Digest; Cleanses Your System As a Diuretic; Stimulates Your Immune System; Balances pH Levels; Cleanses Skin; Gives You Energy and Improves Your Mood; Boosts Healing; Freshens Breath; Hydrates Your Lymphatic System; and Helps You Lose Weight.

And in regard to Diuretics, here's more: Eliminate toxins from the body. Consume Watermelons, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Blueberry Juice, Carrots, Celery, Grapes, and Asparagus. Of course, certified organics are the best.

I woke up with very bad back pain after a crazy hard exercise class at the gym and could barely get myself out of bed because my lower back was in a complete spasm. I had Boswellia which I was giving to my dog for his arthritis and started taking it twice a day. After 3 days the pain went away completely. 350mg 2x a day. Every so often my low back acts up again and I go back to boswellia for about a week.

Coconut Oil

I'm amazed that coconut oil worked, but it did. I had horrible back pain after doing the plank for 3 minutes which was 30 seconds longer than I should have done). I paid the price for my competitiveness and my back got so stiff and painful had been that way for well over a week. After finding this remedy on Earth Clinic I'm delighted to report that the pain has eased and my back feels looser. There is still stiffness and some pain, but it is way better and it seemed to work almost instantly. Thank you Earth Clinic!

After being up all night with pulled back muscle, I ended up calling out of work. Couldn't get out of bed without excruciating pain. Muscle relaxers did nothing. Saw your posts about coconut oil and thought I'd give it a try. Wow! Within a few minutes I could move around. This is now my new remedy for back pain. Love it!

MSM

I am 66 year old female and have had chronic lower back and shoulder blade pain issues and started to get much worse. So I started doing some research and started on MSM powder both internally and externally. After using I am now in only my 2nd week and have to say my pain has improved probably 75% . I was using an arthritic cream which helped but since starting the msm I haven't had to use it. (Good as it was expensive for the amount of cream in the tube) From the first dose and application I noticed a "little" improvement. Thought to myself "must just be in the mind" :) but every day noticed more and more improvement. I started on a low dose as advised and am adding more each week. I also made up a cream which I massage in two to three times a day to the areas.

Started with 1/4 tsp mixed in water am and dinner time for a week and now using 1/2 tsp 2 x day. Monday I will be upping it to 3/4 tsp 2 x day.

Made up a cream to apply topically. Add 3 tsp msm powder to each 100ml of cream. Massage into areas. I apply it 2-3 times day.

I just found this forum looking for treatments for other ailment for my husband and I had to share this with you. It is working for me and hopefully it will work for someone else.

DMSO
Posted by Robert Henry (Ten Mile, Tn) on 08/26/2016

Finished the bottle of Canabis oil that Rsw and Timh recommended. Might have helped, but did not leave me pain free. Canceled my next ozone shots as they do not appear to be helping. My next issue is to change up my bed. I will put plywood on my mattress and a 1 1/2" memory foam over that.

Went to the farm today and planted part of our fall garden. I worked until I could not stand the back pain and then sat down for about 10 minutes and was good to go. That procedure is a mystery to me. If we have someone on EC that can explain this to me I will dance at their next wedding. It has to be a lumbar thing from my crushed T 12.

Taking our Rat Terrier pup to the farm and she is in P pore condition. Soon her tongue is as long as her ears trying to keep cool. Once back home she sacks out for the rest of the day. She is a hunting dog, but our daughter in law kept her for over a month and turned her into an A/C lap dog. Dogs need to be treated as dogs.

Head back to the farm tomorrow to finish planting our fall garden. Wish we could share our figs, apples, pears and muscadines with all you city slickers. Fall tomatoes are starting to ripen. Old tomatoes vines are dying. If you read what is going on down in Venezuela, then you will figure out how to grow a garden regardless of where you live. Freeze dryer to be delivered Monday. This device will allow us to keep fruit, meat, and veggies for 25 years. Life is fixing to get about as interesting as we can stand.

Magnesium

I have suffered from a bad back for at least 20 yrs. I have tried everything and not until recently has anything worked as well as Magnesium Oil. You spray it on you, anywhere you like, not even the hurting parts and instantly works. If you take Calcium you have to take Magnesium as one contracts and the other expands (forget which is which) but without the other you can feel pain, headaches etc. , They put Calcium in everything these days, OJ, Milk, etc. , so it is important to take either topically or orally extra Magnesium.

Castor Oil

I am so happy to have found this castor oil remedy that I wish I could get the WORLD on board with it!!!! After going to doctor's, chiropracters using exercise, yoga, stretching, motrin, muscle relaxers to boot; I finally have something that truly deals with the symptoms for an injured lower back which flares up from time to time as well as neck and shoulder soreness which leads to significant tightness and discomfort.

My symptoms have been significantly reduced and my painful days are few and far between and I do not even use the full castor oil pack method as right now I do not have a heating pad...I improvised with a warm wet rag and a microwaveable bean bag and I am feeling much, much better than I ever have before. Typically during my menstrual cycle I am plagued by a lower back throbbing and discomfort and this month it is very minimal if anything at all and this is amazing!!!!

I also tried it out for bruising and again it worked wonders on cutting down on bruise life as well as soreness, discoloration (most of my bruising lasts at least a week but with castor oil right away it's perhaps 2 days and with more time passing before I get to it perhaps around 3.5 days.....WOW!!!!

If I could I would bathe in castor oil each and every day!!!!

Ball Point Pen Technique
Posted by Larissa (Toronto, On) on 02/21/2012

I think he means touching that spot 100 x's a day, by reaching down touching and coming back up and repeating, hopefully in a fluid and body aware motion (not bouncing the upper body up and down) The "tapping" these people are referring to for lymphatic flushing, is not the same thing... That works, but is not what he's talking about I think. YES your back muscles would so get stronger doing this - if you do as he said, just a little bit a time, small measurements in high quantity, a very good and conscious way to build the 'erector spinae' muscles. It's similar to an exercise called "Good Mornings" which you can do without weights (until you're strong enough to.)
