Dmso is amazing for stiffness and pain. Totally helped me with my back pain. I had horrible stiffness in morning mid back and could hardly get out of bed and after a few weeks of 1 tablespoon every other day it was gone. It is totally safe...

After being up all night with pulled back muscle, I ended up calling out of work. Couldn't get out of bed without excruciating pain. Muscle relaxers did nothing. Saw your posts about coconut oil and thought I'd give it a try. Wow! Within a few minutes I could move around. This is now my new remedy for back pain. Love it!

I'd used coconut oil on my reluctant husband about a year ago and his back pain, much to our surprise, went away instantly. I tried it today, finally, on myself and within 5 minutes -- pain is gone. Really! Gone!

I'm now doing research as to why this works! It's a miracle -- that pain was starting to bother me.

Hello! I am just wondering if a daily intake of 2 tablespoons of ACV with 8 oz. water twice a day can help prevent back pain, diarrhea, migraine, high blood pressure, and blood sugar? As preventive rather than curative?

Thanks for this simple exercise. I just did it (I have minor back aches this morning), and I felt both hips pop, just like when I'm at the chiropractor. I stretched back and forth on my back, from side to side, stretching one leg and then the other with my arms over my head. It seems to help!

I am 66 year old female and have had chronic lower back and shoulder blade pain issues and started to get much worse. So I started doing some research and started on MSM powder both internally and externally. After using I am now in only my 2nd week and have to say my pain has improved probably 75% . I was using an arthritic cream which helped but since starting the msm I haven't had to use it. (Good as it was expensive for the amount of cream in the tube) From the first dose and application I noticed a "little" improvement. Thought to myself "must just be in the mind" :) but every day noticed more and more improvement. I started on a low dose as advised and am adding more each week. I also made up a cream which I massage in two to three times a day to the areas.

Started with 1/4 tsp mixed in water am and dinner time for a week and now using 1/2 tsp 2 x day. Monday I will be upping it to 3/4 tsp 2 x day.

Made up a cream to apply topically. Add 3 tsp msm powder to each 100ml of cream. Massage into areas. I apply it 2-3 times day.

I just found this forum looking for treatments for other ailment for my husband and I had to share this with you. It is working for me and hopefully it will work for someone else.

From the time I posted this to now update.

I have been doing the following things.

DMSO gel ninety percent: I took this and rubbed it on by lower back when I was having trouble getting out of bed.

Later I made a blend of Coconut oil with a few drops of pepermint oil and then I put a little DMSO Gel and I stirred it up and then applied that because the constant application of DMSO has a drying affect upon the skin I have found.

Today, this morning I had the least amount of morning pain so I applied a smaller amount of DMSO Gel. It helps me get moving in the morning when the pain is the worst.

But since I wrote the original post I am doing very well, in fact I rode the bicycle, which improved my back.

I also added two (2) table spoons of Apple Cider Vinegar raw with the mother and a large table spoon of Black Strap molassas and drank that every day.

I also drank several times a day a table spoon or more or DMSO Pure 99.996; look up this on the internet to find who sells that and put that into a pint of water and drank that several times a day.

I am feeling a lot better.

The side affect that needs to be addressed is that my back skin has been come very dry and irritated from the constant DMSO application. I was using ninety percent Gel ( contains carpobal as a gelling agent).

DMSO is a miracle pain remover because where as I felt too much pain to get out of bed I rolled over and rubbed the gel unto the lower back and in a short time could move without the pain. But the dry skin issue is a problem.

Any body that has dealt with that problem let me know.

I forgot to add some things: I also took Extra Virgin Olive oil Cold Pressed with turmeric; Coconut oil extra Virgin; Black Strap molassas; Raw vinegar with the mother Apple Cider; (750) Seven hundred and fifty milligrams Magnesium twice a day; and 3 tablets of fish oil once a day.

And I also drank much distilled water.

I hope this helps someone. noperscriptiondrugsforme

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I recently did some labour and threw out something in my lower back. The pain seems to come back stronger when I try to get out of bed. It is in the lower back just above the hips. Topical application of DMSO and essential oil of peppermint make the pain diminish the pain so I can move out of bed and walk.

I just started Apple Cider Vinegar doses and Turmeric in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Coconut oil too.

The pain seems to be a muscle spasm, like a charlie horse in the lower back. When I straighten my legs, the spasm subsides.

I have a question. I did some labour one day a week ago and think I may have over done it. I felt a pain in my lower back on the right side at the time and I thought to myself that I had done some kind of over exertion and hurt myself.

The pain in the lower back region began getting worse and worse and I could barely move to get out of bed after I lay down. I had to urinate into a bottle because of pain when I tried to move my hips off the bed.

I broke out into a sweat when I finally was able to stoop and thought I was going to pass out so I lay back down again.

Early this morning I had to get up out of bed because the urine bottle was full and I had terrible cramps in my legs so I thought to get some magnesium into my body.

I got to the chair where the DMSO gel container was on the desk and thought to try applying it to the lower back region. It was almost immeadiate that the pain was manageable for me to walk up stairs.

This pain does not feel like back pain of which I am familiar.

I can move my legs and arms just fine.

I had severe back pain to the point I couldn't move around in bed without pain in my lower back which was throughout my leg as well. I looked it up online and found it was sciatic nerve pain. I had numbness, weakness and serious sharp pain. I started taking around 6g of MSM and vitamin b complex. Praise be to God my pain has gone.

Peppermint Oil

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I am long overdue to go to the chiropractor. (I have scoliosis and if I go to the chiropractor once a month my back is usually pretty good.) Anyway, I haven't been for months. I have one spot on my upper back that is really bothering me. I also have some nerve pain and numbness on and of in my arm and fourth finger. (This means I am way overdue for the chiropractor! I have had it happen before.) Meanwhile, I have used ice and peppermint essential oil and this gives me a measure of relief for a few hours after application.

I sit with a frozen rice sock on the pained spot in my back, or rub neat (undiluted) peppermint essential oil on my back on the spot that bothers me a lot. After a while, I realize the pain is a lot less. The peppermint was especially helpful yesterday when I was away from home and didn't have my frozen rice sock. I always keep peppermint essential oil in my purse (and a few other oils.)

I think both of these things work because they are helping to reduce inflammation.

Ok, now I will go and call the chiropractor. :)

Thyme

Good day Earthclinic, I am a long time follower of your website and wanted to share a back pain/sciatica remedy. I don't usually get back pain, but every so often I will get a horrible lower back/sciatica pain that is excruciating. Massages, stretches, physical activity only offer mild relief. What I have discovered is that eating raw thyme herb with my meals consistently for a few days will get rid of my horrible back pain. This has worked several times for me and just recently has proven to be the only thing to help as I have had excruciating pain for nearly the past 2 weeks.

I believe it is some kind of infection, likely bacterial that occurs in the intenstines and refers pain or causes inflammation which pushes things out of place..I'm not certain, but what I know is that chewing raw thyme herb has fixed my excruciating back pain several times over now and I am confident in recommending this 2-5$ natural solution to others.

Best regards, Jarret

Tailbone Pain Remedies

I broke my tailbone in high school (landed on it and snapped it playing volleyball) and it started to hurt again 20 years later. I rubbed natural muscle and joint cream into it just to take the edge off so that I could sit down. I finally had to go see a chiroprator. It took about a month of going twice a week, but it did fix the pain. When I couldn't afford to go anymore I figured out that if I sit in a chair and kind of roll my pelvis forward without moving my upper back, my tailbone cracks and releases pressure... It feels much better. I would go to a chiro, though, it helped loosen up my back.

Serrapeptase does also include some fibrinolytic enzyme but can clear out debris. Yes, you can take nattokinase and serrapeptase at same time. The two enemies of these enzymes is acid and food particles.

I take K2 during the mid day with main meal. There are different theories on how K2 works. One says it goes to the liver and only is used if needed but don't know for sure. Nattokinase has a 3 to 8 hour window in which it is active. I take it morning and bedtime. So I just take K2 during my evening meal so outside the 8 hour windows.

My plan is to take K2 for 2 or 3 months - sort of like doing a cleansing of calcium from the arteries - then take it every second or third day dor maintenance. I'll experiment.

I would take a strong antioxidant like astaxanthin with your cod liver oil and butter. Fish oil without antioxidant protection can damage your brain.

Here is general guideline for the nattokinase

In regard to what dosage one takes with nattokinase and serrapeptase, it really depends how sick and symptomatic one is. Also age is a factor. As one ages, one can build up a lot of gunk in the arteries. Another factor is the profile of ones disease.

If your under 40 and relatively healthy, ones arteries are generally going to be in decent shape so I don't think one needs it. If one is relatively healthy and over 45, I would say 2000 FU on empty stomach before bed is all you need for preventative measure.

If one has anything related to heart disease and you are symptomatic, it means there are more serious problems going on. So probably a good idea to take higher dose just to be sure. I would dose nattokinase at dosage of 6000 FU 2X per day.

Whether one needs serrapeptase is not clear but it can't hurt and may help. PLus it works a little different than nattokinase. I'd go 80,000 IU three times a day. Take it with nattokinase. In my particular situation, I found I needed it.

You do this for 1 to 3 months. If you think you may have clots that need dissolving, it usually takes 2 to 3 months to take a lot of the clot away. Any symptoms you have should be gone within one month. For maintenance, taking 2000 FU when going to bed and upon wake. It's really ones call to decide whether serrapeptase is right for you and also length of time.

If one has cancer, i'd look into enzyme therapy also.

If one has a chronic illness then besides the aforementioned factors, you have to look at the profile of your disease. If people with your disease are dropping dead from heart disease or show any signs of blood coagulation then I would do a 1-3 month cleansing of your arteries then go on maintenance. So I'd follow what I said about heart disease and adjust it for ones age and other factors. i'd look into enzymes in general and experiment with them.

Everyone's situation can be different so the above is just some framework to operate within. you adjust it accordingly for your risk factors.

There are some rare blood clotting disorders that nattokinase doesn't treat so be careful. nattokinase can replace things like tpa, coumadin etc. It doesn't replace something like heparin. heparin by the way seems like one of the few positive prescription drugs that actually addresses the underlying problems.

Hi Prioris and Robert Henry,

How many IU or FU of Serrapeptase or Nattokinase would you recommend per day? Is a single dose OK? My understanding is that Serrapeptase is more for inflammation but also clears out debris, (is this also in blood vessels?)while Nattokinase is good to keep the blood vessels clean. Is this correct? Can they be taken together or are they better taken one at a time? I notice that K2 supplements generally also contains K1, and I am concerned about blood clotting. I usually take a fermented cod liver oil/butter blend for the K2, since it seems more of a food to me. Thank you. (Robert Henry - My back still hurts, too, but it's getting better! Been using bio available curcumin and fresh ground ginger in my tea, but still having trouble looking down and combing my hair. Dr. said it should take at least 8 weeks. My husband appreciated your comments. Your wife sounds like keeper, too! )

Robert Henry: Being a laid back easy going fella like myself, I figure you might not be getting enough nourishing roots because they are hard to chop so you can try this remarkable recipe. Items need to be organic. Put variety of whole roots in water. Add fresh squeezed lemon juice and ACV. Soak for 1 day. Drain water and drink in small doses several times/day. Repeat procedure. Acids extract delicious goodies from remarkable roots into water. When colorful phyto chemicals are not being extracted anymore chop up, they'll be easy because acids soften tough cellulose, put into blender, grind up and eat. From all us mild mannered ordinary folk living here in rocky mountain high hope this makes you feel better.

Chronic Back Pain Remedies
Posted by Dave (Fountain Inn, Sc) on 02/16/2014

Hello Tony from Liverpool;

I've lived what you are living. Yes you have genetic curvature; some stenosis; and lower back is not seated correctly relative to pelvis...all that brought on by genetic curvature.

But...not to give up!!!!!

Some herbals and Epsom salts baths can help but here's what words wonders if you will gradually work with this treatment. A physical therapist taught this to me and it is very helpful.

You'll need a helper. (This is Japanese technique.) Someone who weighs about 120 pounds. Heaver is ok but the helper must use a chair to lift excess weight so not too much weight is on your lower back.

This technique must be repeated three or four times weekly. Better each time used.

Lie on stomach...on a rug so as not to be "crushed" into hard floor. Put small pillow under forehead so chin is just off floor.

Now, a chair is next to your hip. The "helper" now puts his hand on chair and uses chair to bare most of his weight. Then with one foot (barefoot) he steps gently onto low back (about belt line...onto PELVIS). He is now putting perhaps 30 pounds of pressure onto pelvis. If too painful, of course stop. But most folks can take the pressure on pelvis.

Next, if pressure is ok, then he stands on your lowest vertebra with left foot. Now he gently "walks in place" with both feet...still holding onto chair to apply only minimum weight and also holding onto chair so he doesn't FALL off your back.

Next, he holds place on top of pelvis and walks one vertebra at a time up the spine...so .... right foot presses down on pelvis, left foot steps on lowest vertebra...right foot steps again on pelvis and left foot move toward your head one vertebra higher...repeat....until left foot has found its way, vertebra by vertebra UP the spine but constantly the counterpoint with the right foot on pelvis. Over time helper can put right foot on lowest vertebra as left walks up the spine. For me that is better than right foot on pelvis all the time...but if too painful, that way wouldn't work and helper would have to press with right foot only on pelvis.

You might hear and feel the back "popping" a time or two as the curved back adjusts back to a more straight position.

I do this until nearly full weight of helper (my patient wife...who is always allowing me to experiment in all manner of ways) can go up back and then down back and even walk in place if a particular area is sensitive.

NEXT: Here is the big progression....when helper has walked back down spine to the pelvis, let the right foot come onto the lowest vertebra and bare as much weight as you are comfortable with ...

THEN put your hands under your shoulders...and slowly do a push up...gently push your shoulders and upper torso up with the low back staying in place so that you intentionally RELAX the low back ...

and this will allow the low back to move into correct position with out of place (twisted) pelvis. You might feel a slight movement in low back. Come out of "push up" and repeat....relaxing the low back muscles to allow it to move into proper place with the pelvis.

This technique WORKS to re align out of place pelvis and low back vertebra. And the "walking" up spine will help re align the genetic curvature that you think you have.

Do all this GENTLY and with LITTLE weight the first time or two. Now, my wife can get on my back and with all her weight go through the routine....the best part being the push up where I can literally feel the pelvis move into proper position with my old curved spine.

SO....even if spine is curved, I have been able to compensate and can even do my old karate kicks...side and front kicks...nearly head high. And for an old guy like me hoppin down the hallway with alternating side and front kicks....I mean at 65 years old....with a curved spine....

really...try this and see if you aren't improved in a few months.

I don't offer anyone advice, but I do tell them my experience and solutions that I have experimented with; some sucessfull and other experiments, well, you'll hear about them. That said, I have back pain from an old injury in the middle back and when it flares up there are several things that I do so solve the problem.

All of these things are natural and over the counter and God made. The first line of defence is prayer. The second is the use of cayenne extract rolled over the back. The third is DMSO gel, ninety nine point nine percent pure. ( See the DMSO section on this site for more information on that issue). Some times pure water helps alleviate the pain too, dehydration can happen and we not even really aware of it. I like turmeric powder in Extra Virgin Olive oil, as it is a powerful dual acting anti inflammatory and the curcumrin (sic) is soluble in oil, and thus more available to the body.

Any foods and spices that reduce inflamation will, in time, help to reduce the occurance of pain. The C-reactive Protein Blood test will give a good view of the general level of inflammation in the cardiovascular system in general and may be worth getting after a few months of doing a diet full of inflammation reducing foods.

I don't do pharmaceuticals as it is against my religious beliefs and I have been off all pain killers for several years now doing this new life in obedience to the Creator God.
