Heel Lifts

Jason, Look for a "Nucca" chiroprator in your area. They focus on your your head/neck Atlas. The first check they do is a leg length check. Google this and it will make sense. It worked for me!

My body has been totally out of balance. I went to a Neuromuscular Osteopath and they noticed my hips were off... Which I knew but never mentioned anything about leg length. I had broken my leg over a decade ago and I kept saying that my legs don't feel the same size throughout the years. I thought it was all in my head and becuase I didn't exercise or do the right PT to heal the muscles/liagments/tendons. I told people here and there but never go a real "test" to what was going on. Anyway I had lower back pain for years, couldn't sleep well, and had knee pain. I just felt like a marionette doll!!! Shoulder pain, neck pain, back pain, facial pain, everything was out of whack.
Anyway I read Earthclinic all the time and said maybe it is REAL. I saw the heel lift comment and ordered one immediately. Actually I ordered two version waiting to get them in the mail. Then I thought I'd just use what I have around the house. So I got a couple of kitchen sponges put them in my shoes and BOOM! By the next days things settled down a little. I cannot wait until I get my heel lifts.... I think they will really help realign things along with yoga, etc. Geez!!!! To think that ALL THESE years I had been walking weird and things were so bad for no reason.
Thank you for all the folks who post on this site.
QUESTION: What is the best doctor to get an official diagnosis so I know how many mm my legs are off and that can help me monitor the realignment of things? Osteopath? Chiro? MD? I hate the endless search for "specialist" who don't know much about anything! :)

Proteolytic Enzymes

I was having terrible lower back problem (unsure if it is sciatica) for days and even turning in bed and trying to get out if it is a struggle and challenge on how to avoid the pain. I read somewhere that proteolytic enzymes is anti-inflammatory that works on back pain. My hubby was taking it before so I had some in the fridge as part of the digestive enzymes from the pharmacy. I took one before dinner time and the next morning I realize right away the pain was significantly reduced as I did not have pain just trying to get out of bed as well as trying to stand up after being seated. Just remember you have to take it at least half or an hour before any meal. I was taking a capsule each twice a day initially when the pain was severe. I have since stopped and only go back to it once in a while whenever I start feeling the pain again. If you can't find protease/proteolytic enzymes, fresh pineapple is supposed to have the enzymes so just eat fresh pineapple (not cooked or canned ones as that has been heated so the enzymes will be gone).

Atlas Alignment, Rolfing

My mother, aunt, great-aunt, sister and I have this issue. My mother calls it her witches hump.
I thought I was stuck with it, I always stood and sat with my neck jutting forward as if unable to straighten. It looked gross, 'slovenly' in photos.
I suspect it is a physiological problem caused by injury, fluoride/excess calcium-on-a-genetic-pattern combo and other damage compounded by psychology.
For the last ten years I've been trying to manage and cure my back pain, and I've recently made huge *HUGE* leaps towards cure. I've never felt so strong or so pain-free (and mentally calm) as the last six months or so since I had my atlas aligned. I wrote the speil under the 'scoliosis' heading too, because it seems to have corrected the twist between my shoulders.
But the hump has disappeared altogether. I'm 38 and really thought I'd turn in to the classic, brittle, wisp of a British Lady Crone figure by 55-60yrs... And was well on the way. Now I see myself as a staunch old lady with an imposing presence. : )
The most dramatic change was having my atlas aligned. SUCH a dramatic thing I can't stress it enough. The other is to find a genuine 'Rolfer', also known as 'structural integration' practioner, who essentially looks at where your body is going wrong and irons out the issues over ten sessions. I heard it was called 'The Rolls Royce of Massage' before I'd tried it, and I certainly agree now. I can't go back to budget massage. Too annoying realising these people don't know what they're doing and you're paying them to do it.
Anyhoo, my two cents. Atlas alignment is brilliant. So is Rolfing.
Best.

Is anybody doing hula hoop? I decided to try a while ago so I bought myself a little, inexpensive child's hoop but no way I was able to do anything with it except pick it up from the ground, try again, let it fall and pick it up again. Then I read that hula hoops for adults have to be a lot bigger and heavier so I ordered one from Amazon, a padded one and yes... Now I can hoop! Like most people I hoop better to one side than to the other but I learnt quite easily. To avoid bruising I bought myself a sweat band you tie around your waist and have therefore had hardly any bruising at all. The interesting thing is that since I have been doing it (and I haven't had a lot of time) my lower back pain seems to be a lot better. My reason for buying it was actually to get a slimmer waist but if it helps against back pain all the better. Anybody have any experience with this? Not easy to find the right hoop though as they are not sold in the shops here so you can't try them out. I would like to try doing some fun tricks but I am under the impression that this fitness hoop are not the right ones. Lots of videos online if you want to learn...

Two things worth spending money on are a good pair of shoes and a mattress. If you're not in one you're in the other. But you cannot tell, with either item, as to whether they will do you damage after a couple of hours use. Five minutes in the shop is not the same as eight hours solid use. I think most women will have a number of pairs of shoes in the wardrobe that cannot be worn for long.
One of the following may be worth trying. If the mattress is too hard, an upholsterer(furniture maker) would sell you a thin piece of foam that cold be laid on top of the mattress and under the sheet. This foam is used in different thicknesses by manufacturers.
If the bed is too soft - a piece of plywood or any other soft wood laid between the mattress and the bed base can be helpful. This certainly helped my Mom when she had a bad back. After about a year she felt able to remove it when she bought a new different mattress but put it back again a short time later as the new one brought back the old pains.

Olá Clarity, eu sou 1/4 brasileira, o meu avô era da Bahia. The problem here is that you can't give back a mattress. I suppose you are talking about Tempura but that is I think that this memory foam is although it is another brand. I really don't know what to do.... I do get a lot better during the day so it must be the mattress. And if I lie on the recliners outside by the pool I never have any kind of back pain. Unfortunately I always forget to check when I am in a hotel meaning probably that I don't have pain.

This may seem a silly question but I think that my back pains are due to a mattress that doesn't suit my needs. My husband has back pains as well. Ok, the solution, you would say, would be to go and buy a new one. That is exactly what we did. We asked the guy in the shop to come and look at what we had, which was quite new, and advise us on what to get. My husband was against buy memory foam again but I forgot that part while trying several mattresses and guess what, we ended up buy one but twice as expensive. And we have the same pain especially if we lie a long time on our backs.
My question is maybe not as silly as it sounds because what do you do, you go to the shop, lie on each mattress for a few minutes, what do you know about them? Nothing really...... So I am at a loss here! We do need a new mattress but how should we decide what to buy?

My husband is SO much better!! After about 6 months of taking HA he is a new man! He used to be going to the chiropractor 2x weekly, now hardly ever! No more headaches (he used to live with a headache), he can garden without his legs stiffening up and falling asleep, he can play with the kids, and hold the baby... Yay! We took down an old house on the property next door to us and he lifted heavy beams and loaded a big trailer full. He could never have done any of that before. He says he is 90% pain free! What a miracle! The only thing he has done is taking ginger and turmeric (50/50 mix- heaping TBSP 3x a day), and the HA powder from purebulk.com -1TB 2x a day in water. He had never dreamed of feeling this good ever in his life! Every month he notices more and more benefits.
Thanks to the suggestions above, he is going to try mixing cayenne pepper in the ginger and turmeric too. At 40 years old, he says this is the best he ever remembers feeling. He has had pain from his childhood and now he knows how to live without pain! Thanks everyone for all your feedback and help! May God bless you richly

You can take as much Ginger as you like, their have been no reported side effects. The equivalent of a cubic centimetre of the raw root should be enough to build it up in the body over a few days. Its at least as effective as Ibophrophen but without side effects. If you google "Ginger and backpain" you'll get more information. After a while it binds with the "Cox inhibitor"... I know if I let the back recover by taking it easy it clears the aches up nicely. The problem with cartilege is its lack of blood supply I think thats where the cayenne comes in.. By giving extra blood supply so it can grow back where its needed. I did my back in many years ago but this definiatly helps.

Why not try.. Ginger.. Cayenne and tumeric?.. The ginger acts like a Cortico steroid without any side effects.. its relative Tumeric compliments the Ginger, and the Cayenne opens up the blood vessels so all the goodies get to where they are suposed too.
My back cleared up in about a week, and even after some heavy work dosn't play up like it used too. I 've got used to taking it everday and the benifits are an all round increase in health.
Their was a three year trial.. after three years all the Sciatica Lumbago and osteo arthurits patients reported a 100% decrease in pain and the Rhumatoid Arthuritis patients reported a 75% decrease so its well worth a trial.

Heel Lifts for Back Pain:
For myself... I've had back problems ever since puberty and been through chiropractors, PT, Orthopedists, etc... And only did my recent chiropractor find I had a 3 MM!!! Difference in one leg. One very rarely correlated problem is for those who are HYPER FLEXIBLE, a very small leg-length difference can cause debilitating pain. I would get up in the morning and every breath I took would send shooting pains through my back and side. At any given time you could feel a knot that felt like bone, the size of a golf ball in my low back. Within 8 hours of using heel lifts, I noticed the pain all but disappeared. Now for the remaining VERY minor discomfort that sometimes I comes I stay exercised - focus on core strength.

Christine, Canada, what a great idea concerning the belly dance classes, also because I feel like my lower back muscles have gone down hill, like they don't support me anymore when I bend down, the only problem is that I have never heard of belly dance classes here in France. We live in a quite rural location. I did buy a hula hoop but completely forgot to use it, maybe that might help? I am so fed up of having back pain... it makes me feel like an old woman and at 53 I am not that old yet..........
As far as MSM goes I am now trying a drink with MSM, Condroitin, Glucosamin and blueberry juice but so far nothing seems to help. To be honest I am at a point in my life that supplements don't seem to affect me in any way, no matter which combinations I try.

In reply to Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France:
Hi Francesca,
I take 2-3gms of MSM powder daily in drinks and have found it works for my creaky knees and stiff finger joints better than anything else.
You might try belly dance classes for your back ache, I had severe lumbar pain with sciatica for several years after a strain injury to my back. I took a class in belly dance and was impressed by how you are taught to separate and work muscle groups on your torso, which makes them stronger, which gives more support to the spine and seems to pull it into alignment. It takes a few months to get really fit but you see improvement after a couple of weeks.

Greetings Earth Clinic Readers, After listening to a radio program recommended by an Earth Clinic commenter by Mark Sircus, I went and purchased some Magnesium Chloride tablets. It has been over four months now and I am thrilled with the results. I am forty years old and the tightness in my back had gotten so bad I couln't walk far without throwing it out of alignment creating more tightness. Not having insurance or money for a doctor, I decided to research the magnesium books and Dr. Mark Sircus' website. My hips have been tight since my late teens no matter how much yoga, walking, stretching I did. After starting with the Magnesium Therapy I'm happy to report an overall relaxation of the muscles in my body, so that I can now do therapeutic exercises without stressing my muscles. The magnesium supplements have taken away the pain and stiffness. I have purchased magnesium oil and am now using it transdermally. As a side note Dr. Sircus'advice about Iodine sounds very promising and I've just ordered iodine supplements as well.
Live long and prosper.

At a prayer service last week, he was prayed for and the huge knot in his back was taken away and has not returned! God is good! I think the HA. is filling in the cartilage too, where it seemed like there was calcification before. I can now feel individual vertebrae instead of one big, hard lump. I also had a bout with severe back pain and nothing worked including many visits to the chiropractor. By chance I read the small print on my high blood pressure medicine which I had recently started taking and it says lower back pain could be a side effect caused by magnesium deficiency. Although I was taking magnesium which I had from the U. S. It was not being absorbed and fortunately I had a high quality one from Germany (effervescent) and after taking this for 2 days the back pain went away. I later learned from German pharmacists that with certain high blood pressure medicine (diuretics) one needs to take magnesium because the medication depletes the body's magnesium.

Hi Ted, I've been having a lower back pain for over a year now, usually in the past when I had lower back pain, it goes away in a few days or so, not this time, I've tried almost everything from this site, BSM, ACV, resveratrol, resveratrol helps for the first week, then it came back, I'm trying hyaluronic acid as I'm typing this, it's been exactly a week today, I'm going to keep continue for another week or two, in the mean time, I also saw your other article that the most important is magnesium chloride, then I see it again in this article, so I suppose I should do both ?? in this article you mentioned the dilution which is 60 - 80 % MC and 20 - 40% distilled water, 5 - 10 drops depending on your weight, you didn't mention how many times per day you need to take 5 - 10 drops ?? is it 2 or 3 times ?? please advise, I'm much better now after the hyaluronic acid, but I still feel the discomfort in my lower back around morning time and when I sit down, I almost didn't feel any pain when I walk or work or even lift some heavy things.
Thank you Ted, greatly appreciate your article about hyaluronic acid and this article about magnesium chloride, I believe these will help me getting back in shape.
I appreciate some reader's inputs, but before Anyone Replies and suggesting me something, please keep in mind, I've tried almost EVERYTHING, from heat pack, ice pack, tons of chiropractors visits, inversion table, lumbar support, etc.

I have found that one of the simplest and most effective remedies for back pain is a good mineral supplement. Any multi-mineral tablet should suffice, but I would recommend an ionic trace mineral liquid supplement available from any vitamin/herb store/catalog taken daily at the highest recommended dose along with a multi-vitamin and digestive enzymes for complete body balancing. This will bring results within a week if it's going to help and if it helps, this regime should be continued indefinitely.

Worried wife, did someone answer you? I get mine from purebulk.com. I buy the package that cost around 70.00 and it has lasted me several months so far. I still have half of it left. I mix it up according to the recipe on the website, in a bottle of filtered or store bought water. Don't put anything but the HA powder in it. My method is on this website, I am sure you can find it if you put in Hyaluronic Acid and look for the posts by Lisa regarding this product. It has really really! Helped my husband, his mom and his dad. They are all benefitting greatly by way of less pain in knees, elbows, backs, more energy, feeling quite younger (parents are 80 and 82). You will, I feel, benefit from it, as will your husband. Just mix up 1 1/2 teasp. Of the powder in 16 ounces of (COLD) water. Just add the HA powder straight to the water, after pouring a bit off the top so the powder will fit. Give a shake, put back in fridge, shake every 4 hours or so. In 12 hours, it's thick and ready to go. We have been using this method since the beginning. I even have been giving it to my 11 year old dachsund baby, and she has began (very quickly) acting half her age! We were so thrilled with her increase of energy, and she is running around like a young dog. Good luck, and God bless you and your husband. I will say a prayer of healing for him. God answers ALL prayers. Trust Him.

Just passing on something that my chiropractor told me last week. I told him I was doing the inversion table for neck pain. He told me I didn't need it, because it really only helps lower back pain. He also warned me that head pressure due to the inversion can cause strokes, high blood pressure, etc. He said, "I won't tell you NOT to do it, but I will warn you, don't invert more than 30 degrees. This is plenty for anyone and will avoid the hbp feeling in the head." Something to keep in mind.

Hi Phil,
I have the Ironman 1000. It doesn't use straps, it uses a spring-loaded ankle locking system. The trick is to wear sneakers or even timberland boots if the clamps hurt your ankles. I usually go barefoot without any issues as my ankle are fairly flexible, but I wouldn't suggest that for other people starting off. I also suggest you start slowly and not go into full inversion right away as there's a lot of pressure that builds up in the head. A friend of my husband's, a very healthy and flexible guy, pulled a hamstring the first time he tried it at our house when he was visiting! So yep, go slowly. Please let me know if you try it!

Hi Deirdre. What type of inversion board do you have? I have read reviews on the net and alot of people complain and say the straps really hurt thier ankles. Does your hurt your ankles? It is my understanding that you strap the straps around your ankles and hang upside down. I know that my chiropractor, who is now deceased used to joke with me and tell me not to grab certain handles on his table or it would turn me upside down and do all kinds of wonderful. So I believe the inversion would be great, just questions about the ankles.

Ok, I've written on Earth Clinic before about the absolute wonders of an inversion table for neck and shoulder pain. Now I am here to tell you it's my #1 remedy to also get rid of low back pain.
I started to have chronic low back pain in August, which appeared to get worse with each new day. We had folded up the inversion table in the guest room a while back and I had basically forgotten about it for a number of months. I tried a number of remedies listed on the site, as well as massage and acupuncture. Nothing helped! Finally I remembered our inversion board (d'uh!) and took it out. I hung upside for about 3 minutes and 12 hours later, about 7 minutes more. The second time my back "popped" in 3 places as soon as I went to 90 degrees. The next day, I kid you not, my excruciating back pain was gone, my posture much improved, and my brain clearer & sharper than ever. I can't believe it was this easy. Chronic back pain gone in 10 minutes. I continue to hang upside at least once a day on the inversion board for 3 - 10 minutes and... yippee! no back pain. I HIGHLY recommend this for low back pain.

Hi Peter...Yes, take 8 caps 3 times a day. If it gives a reaction like loose stools, then cut down the dose to 2 times a day.

Hi Peter...Always take the most recent remedy from Ted as the best remedy, since Ted's remedies never remain static and are always evolving. I've studied his remedies for some years now and this is the way he works. Although confusing, I find this completely understandable, because Ted is a very careful man.
So the one to follow is the 4/18/2010 remedy, here is my translation of that remedy:
Take 500mg of hyaluronic acid plus 9 gms(two teaspoons approx) of sea salt in 500 cc of water and refridgerate. Take 8 capfuls of this liquid every day in a full glass of water...
The term 'caps' or 'capfuls' means the cap from the bottle you are storing the mixture in. Do not worry about EXACT measurements here, since both ingredients are not poisonous.
Also, all his remedies are approximately based on a human being weighing about 150 lbs. So if you weigh more, take a capful or two more and if you weigh less than 150 lbs, take less. Ted will expect you to do this, since even he admits that all his remedies may take a little adjustment. And the worst than can happen here is that you get loose stools from, perhaps, taking too much sea salt.

TO BILL FROM SAN FERNANDO
Can you explain Ted's formula on back pain, 4/18 post just take 8 caps on empty stomach, however older post just one cap and drink with glass of water. How many caps equal to one teaapoon ?
Thanks Bill for your expertise. You always able to explain that I could understand.
Ted 4/18/2010
My formula that works is as follows: 500 mg of Hyaluronic acid powder (sodium hyaluronate) plus 9 grams of sea salt in 500 cc of water. Store in refrigerator when not in used. The dose is about 8 caps three times a day empty stomach. It takes about 2 weeks to completely remove all back pain and the joint affected area in extremities may take a little longer. I have a couple of cases with severe spinal degeneration of cartilage and gets fully restored upon taking of HA.
OLDER POST 2009
Prepare 500 mg of pure Sodium Hyaluronate using cold water in 500 cc of clean water, add 6 grams of sea salt. This will get you 0.1% concentration of sodium hyaluronate in saline solution. Take about one capful mixed in a full glass of water at least twice a day. It takes between 2-3 weeks to fully see the dramatic improvements, at the very least.

The reason why this works is because you are doing a flush on your lymphatics, taping the sides inside and out of your legs(tender points) this gets rid of junk in your trunk!

I just wanted to reiterate that chronic severe low back pain could be related to a VERY RARE but serious disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis, which I have) and should be x-rayed for signs of sacroiliitis.
I had plantar fasciitis for years and then developed spondylitis. THESE 2 AILMENTS ARE NOT MEDICALLY RELATED. PLEASE DON'T WORRY YOURSELVES TOO MUCH.

MY THEORY ON BACK PROBLEMS
IF MY Theory is correct, to repair back problems is simple.. My theory comes from reading a book written by C. SAMUEL WEST, D.N…N.D… TITLE OF BOOK… THE GOLDEN SEVEN PLUS ONE…
He talks about trapped proteins, and salt a poison.. Talks about our cells in our body.. when they are not healthy, we start dying..The body works on electrical current.. We can heal ourselves with the electricity that flows thru our bodies…. It would be easy if we could plug ourselves in someplace and get recharged. But not that easy.. We must eat proper balanced diet of food and exercise to keep our body generators going which is our cells. Yes, our small cells are generators.. they must always be in top shape to keep our body healthy..
Our cells are mostly potassium with a little salt.. the minute we eat too much salt it pushes the potassium out of the cells.. the body start to get sick..
Listen to this.. the bones in our back start falling apart.. Then you have back problems.. I really feel that most people that have back problems are very low in potassium. Like # 1 or 2.. which is a low potassium level…
The minute we cut out the salt.. the potassium make our cells healthy.. Then the bones in our back go back in place.. No more back problems.. When you take a physical.. how many of you ask for potassium test. If the numbers they give you are between 3-5.. your potassium level is normal, your generators (cells) are in good shape..I just finished a physical, when they took my blood ..I asked for a Potassium test. They said Why do you want that? How do you answer.. I said because I want to live for 200 years.. Well I got my test.. reading was 4.4 . Never had any back problems..
I could be all wet.. In my theory..So if you have a different idea, I would love to hear it.
Thanks for your time. And interest

I bought an Oscar last December after doing quite a bit of research. It works very well and as it is a masticating juicer the juices are "alive", have a great color and taste even after a few hours in the fridge just the machine has a quite a problem because when you juice fruit and vegetables with much juice it goes right into the place where the auger fits into the motor, not good if you ask me and a bother to clean. Other than that if we are at home we drink juices every day!

Thanks Lisa and Deirdre. I bought an Acme for $50 bucks from a friend. I wasn't sure how often I would use it and didn't want to spend a lot of money. It's been a really great machine. It has a really strong motor and it's all stainless steel. I have used it almost every day since I've gotten it. I'll be sure to try rolling up the leafy greens and see if that works. I hope so. Thanks again.

Hi Janice,
We have a Breville and not the high end one. When I decided I wanted to go the route of juicing and raw, I wasn't sure how committed I would be with it and it really was experimental to see if there would be any changes. It was only $99 which of course is the low end of juicers really. I didn't and couldn't invest the money on a really cadillac-type but, I figured it was better than nothing at all! As David Wolfe often says when asked, "The best juicer is the one you have sitting on the back shelf!" At any rate, I love this thing! It's easy to clean and does a great job. I don't recall where I learned this tip since I'm constantly researching and studying new sites for tips in juicing and rawfood. The tip was, if you only have a centrifugal juicer then, take the leafy greens and roll them up tightly to put into the feeder. In between, use harder veggies to clear the greens from the blades such as carrot, celery, beet, etc. It really works! We juice parsley, cilantro, dandelion, kale, chard, etc. Perhaps if we had a high end juicer then we would get more juice from the greens but hey, it's working for us and I have my health back! Hallelujah! I have watched people on youtube get very creative who don't have the money to invest but want to juice. I love that- the desire to find health makes people get very ingenious.
So, give that a try. The key is to keep it all tight. I hope this helps you and you succeed.
To your health, Lisa
EC: We also use a Breville... stainlesss steel version. It's fantastic! We bought a re-manufactured one on Amazon and paid about $175 for it (vs $275 for a new one). We had to return the first juicer to Amazon as the on/off button got stuck after 2 weeks, but the second one they sent us has been running perfectly for at least two years now.

Lisa, what type of juicer do you use? I purchased a juicer from a friend and my husband and I have been juicing every morning, but my juicer doesn't do leafy greens like parsley.

Dear Phil and Lisa,
Thank you so much for your great feedback on kidney cleansing.
Phil, I had already emailed myself a note from one of your previous posts to get some asparagus extract the next time I need to order supplements. Sounds great! Oh, I will send in another post shortly with an update about GSE for nail fungus.
Lisa, I got your ingredients yesterday at the grocery store and made a large juice of asparagus, parsley, celery and an apple. It was delicious! Very energizing, you are right about that. I made a second juice in the evening of my typical green lemonade ingredients... apple, ginger, kale, romaine, lemon. The juicing appears to have a very potent cleansing effect today if you know what I mean! The glowing effect the juice has on my skin is amazing.
Now that the weather is warming up here in GA, I am much more inclined to juice. My body simply rejects it in the cold winter months.
Many thanks again to both of you!

Oh and Oly, NEVER EVER use heat pads instead always use ice packs.
My father always believed in heat, But again My chiropractor always told me to never use HEAT. Heat can temporally paralyze you. Make your condition worse... You want to Ice for 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off, repeated for maybe say an hour.

Hello Oly, You stated you have seen chiropractors for your condition. Well in my opinion there is only one type of chiropractor that actually works... The practice you will be looking for is called the GONSTEAD.
Ask your chiropractor what method he or she uses. Find one that does the Gonstead method. The older the chiropractor usally the better.
You can research it yourself using Google, But there is a big difference in the Gonstead method and other chiropractor treatments. If a Gonstead practicing chiropractor can't fix you, then it may be DDD.
There is also some stuff on here already under the Ailments section but one thing that comes to mind is magnesium. I believe Ted, somewhere on here recommended magnesium for back related issues. The key in the magnesium seems to be its ability to make the muscles stregthen add hold the bones in thier proper places.
Stretches and stregthen the Ab muscle will also help.
My chiropractor told me the Key to a healthy back, Is a strong core ( Midsection of a person )
Ab muscles equals strong back.
I hope you DO NOT have degenerative disc disease, because my mother had sciatica problems and found out she had DDD. She had to have surgery and has never fully recovered. Her bones never fused back together. It has been two years now.

Hi Deirdre!
I just wanted to mention Asparagus Exstract...
I'm not trying to promote a product, but the asparagus exstract is alot cheaper than buying fresh asparagus. The one I found is also Organic and each pack is the equal to a half pound of asparagus.
Google Aaparagus extract. The one I speak of comes from Dr. Chi.
Asparagus is suppose to be a natural kidney cleanser. so a couple packs of this in water a day, should help.I have tried this myself and it does seem when I drank it. My urine is a little more cloudy at first and you can smell the asparagus in it.....
It also stays around alot longer than fresh asparagus. You don't have to worry about it rotting or not being able to get your hands on fresh asparagus.
By the way, any luck using that Grapefruit Seed Exstract for the nails???
Oh and cranberry juice is very good for the kidneys, although it is very hard to find pure cranberry juice. My wife recently had a urineary tract infection and the cranberry juice I purchased said 100% juice ( Only to find out it had apple and pear added ) Seem to help alot.
I guess one shoe does not fit all, but we never know if it is right for us until we try it.
I have found one company that has the Asparagus exstract cheaper than anyone else and she will send you a free magazine on natural remedy protocols. It has lots of great stuff in it.
Yes, of course this lady sales products to people, but you could take her information and your own natural remedies from the place of your choice.
So in other words, you are not under any obligation to purchase any thing, just because you get a free magazine. www.herbalhealer.com
I hope this helps!
Thank you,
Phil

Hi Deirdre,
Yes! Of course, you know me and the juicing! I am convinced it can turn anything around if it is done on a regular basis. So, the vegetables that will aid the kidneys are asparagus, celery, cucumber and parsley. I am not too picky about the combos of greens as I have now been juicing on a regular basis daily since Oct and so much has changed for me. Lots of energy, no need to nap in the afternoon or experience that LOW slump around 3pm, my skin is so smooth and some people say, "Wow your skin glows!", melasma gone from my face, a large mole in the corner of my right eye is now only the size of a pinhead, sleeping well... I could go on and on. My point is that with all the benefits it is easy for me to drink my big glass of green juice every morning and then feel all the cells in my body sing praise! Try a combo of celery/asparagus/parsley and add a lemon or an apple for flavor. We even forage in our yard for the wild dandelions that I used to think of as annoying and now bless them for how they heal my body. They are powerful liver detoxers.
Really, I urge everyone to give green juice a chance to help heal your body. It is powerful.
Peace,
Lisa

I have linked an occasional sudden onset of lower back pain to my kidneys. I have discovered two things that will cause my lower back to suddenly start to ache.
1. Dehydration. I tend to drink a lot of caffeinated black tea during the day and probably not nearly enough water to make up for the dehydrating tea. Occasionally my lower back will start to ache if I've had too many cups of tea, which is my signal to hydrate quickly! If I drink several glasses of water over the course of an hour, my lower back pain will go away within an hour or two.
2. Certain supplements. I bought vitamin d3 made from lanolin last week and started back on 8,000 a day after throwing out my d-3 that contained cod liver oil (see my post on the vitamin d page). However, my kidneys aren't liking the lanolin! Again, a sudden onset of lower back pain about an hour after taking the d3. It took longer for my back pain to disappear this time. ... at least 12 hours or more with lots of water. I tested the supplements 3x, with a few days in between, and each time got back pain. Yikes! A good kidney cleanse is in order. Lisa, got any good juicing recipes for the kidneys?!
