Activated Charcoal, Eliminating Grains

Bad Breath:

I have tried hydrogen peroxide, acidophilus and liquid chlorophyll. But none had the immediate effects that the activated charcoal had along with eliminating grains (accept flaxseed) from my diet.

I take 3 capsules a 2-3 hours before bed with a large glass of water.

One day, I was grocery shopping and was hungry so I decided to buy my favorite sushi at the sushi bar. I ate it then went to work and my breath smelled bad. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then tried to mask the odor with mint gum but it did not help. I realized then that the rice in the sushi was most likely the cause and eliminated rice from my diet.

It's been about a month now any my breath is much improved. I am thankful for the sushi incident because it pinpointed the rice as one of the causes for the bad breath. When I went back grocery shopping, I bought smoke salmon and ate it without any strong after affects.

I am blood type o + and my current diet consists of vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, fruit and flaxseed, which some might consider Paleo. I have eliminated dairy, wheat, and grains, (accept flaxseed). I hope that this information benefits someone.

I've had bad breath for 20 years and worked in industry and sales. I've tried gastroenterologist, dentist orthodontist and ENT. Drove 150 miles to dental clinic in Atlanta. All to no avail. Still had bad breath. In my local health food store to buy coconut oil, for oil pulling talked with sales person. She suggested chlorophyll liquid. Three days later no bad breath. I can't believe it. A lot of stress gone. Chlorophyll liquid couple of ounces a day in orange juice.

I have suffered from bad breath for 7 years chronic bad breath I tried every thing charcoal pills, candida pills, oil pulling, coconut oil , b6, zinc, peroxide, I've read everything and tried everything the answer is ZINC (gluconate) 30mg from Swanson 2 x day with food because it tears up ur gizzard apparently so also google side effects. See a doctor and dentist if they cant help you try this. Also diet change, no dairy because it forms mucus bacteria live and cut the meat down 30% veg 50% no onion or garlic stays in the blood. Get a tongue scraper and oil pull with coconut oil.

Lick the back of ur hand and see how it is, I was too embarrased to see a doctor or dentist, manage your breath and research, trial and error, be careful with zinc its got a lot of side effects, but it's definately helped. Good luck!!

I've had Halitosis for a very long time. It so sad especially when it smelled like poo! People then get distance from me. I can't talk straight in the face of our friends. I can't even tell my boy friend I have it, though I can see that he fixes up his nose everytime we kiss. My family didn't know it as well but sometimes they also smell differently when I'm with them. Thankfully I got into this website. Iv tried several things and researched.

I realized probably its candida overgrowth. I am diabetic and has been taking medications since 18. My immune system is most of the time low or not in a normal state. I get usual tonsilitis, apthous ulcers and ailments, eventually taking up a lot of antibiotics. Probably all this have resulted me having chronic halitosis. I also checked my throat and have seen little tonsil stones. Will try to do light swabbing very very soon. Before, I brush almost 3-4x a day. Now ive reduced to 2x since Some say that excessive brushing is also not good for the mouth. Now, Ive tried the 50/50 diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide and it was miraculous! Yey! Even now that I woke up at 2am in the early morning, my breath does not smell. Ive tried licking the back of my wrist 3times and no smell. It usually stinks when I do it.

Unfortunately I now have acid refluxes. This may also contribute to bad breath. Im planning to undergo endoscopy and will share it again to you guys. Thank you so much Lord. Now I feel more free than ever! Just a question, I havent eaten after gargling HP since it is before bedtime. What about in the morning, does your mouth smell again after eating? Thanks a lot and I hope for replies. Thank you God for this website and thank you people for not losing hope. Lets stay healthy, eliminating sugar and slowing down carbs. Do exercising and dancing! God bless!

H. Pylori Cause

I have been reading threads like this for almost a year and vowed once I solved this problem of bad breath I would inform as many as possible.

Been through it all : people asking who farted, screwed up faces, avoiding people etc because of the evident bad breath. I could tell a hundred stories and a thousand "cures" I tried but finally I got a positive stool test for H Pylori. I'm currently on the triple therapy treatment and my bad breath has gone. There's more than chance that it will come back and I'm prepared for that but the great news is that I know now. I've recently learned that stomach acid needs to be balanced I.e find out if you have too much or not enough (google it) then fight the bacteria off in your gut then begin to live life again.

Get tested for H Pylori and Sibo, be sure when testing for Sibo to get the hydrogen AND methane test. Once you've got the culprit then smash it with what you decide is best, naturals or antibiotics. Figure out what your stomach acid is like low or high and address then low fermentation diet for a couple months.

Personally the triple therapy antibiotics plus cabbage juice and hydrochloric acid is working for me but that's just my case and everyone is different. I have low stomach acid so I stopped the PPI with the triple therapy and my wieght is going back up slowly after losing nearly two stone, my nasal passages have cleared up (result of digestive tract clearing) and bloating reducing.

DONT QUIT, THIS IS A TEST THAT WE MUST SOLVE. LIFE MUST CARRY ON.

Hi, Thanks for this great solution for Bad breath!! I plan to use this..but one question: After rinsing with 50/50 peroxide solution, should I rinse my mouth again with water? If not, can I take the breakfast in the mrng after rinsing with solution? How safe it is to take food after rinsing?

That's not true for the people on sites like these. If ur paying attention- these people have tried everything NORMAL and its not helping. I heard on another website that bismuth ( like pepto bismol) sometimes helps because it kills bacteria in the gut.

Removing Tonsil Stones

Has anyone thought about the bad smell possibly being from tonsil stones?? My 10 year old daughter had the worst bb and one day I stumbled across a video on youtube about tonsil stones and how to remove them. (Which I thought was interesting because a few days before that I had coughed and this nasty greenish horrible smelling ball of stuff landed on my hand) So I watched the video. I did exactly what the people did in the video and I got SO much nasty smelling green tonsil stones out of the back of my mouth and my daughters was even worse. Ever since then we remove the stones from time to time brush and rinse with charcoal caps & peroxide and no more bb!! Hope this helps!!!

Try about a mouthful of apple cider vinegar and swish it around for about 30 seconds and then gargle, spit out immediately and rinse your mouth with cold or warm water because the vinegar is acidic and can wear down your tooth enamel same thing with too much peroxide if you use it without rinsing with water after.. A tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar diluted with 8 ounces of water and a teaspoon or tablespoon of honey is good to drink, it helps in aiding weight loss and also works as an antioxidant. I'm glad you were able to overcome your bad breath.... Cheers! :)

So sorry you experienced that rejection but happy you have found the earth clinic family. If we say something thoughtless or stupid at times. Please forgive us . My worst breath experience was during a time my dentist put me in a situation where I had to keep returning trying to get them to do the right thing. They didn't, so I had to get a mediator. Well that stress made my normally lovely breath, turn horrible. I was shocked my breath was so awful. I use coconut oil, pull it through my mouth for five minutes in the morning. At bedtime I eat a charcoal tablet to clean up my gut. Hope you find your sweet breath again. Forgive them for they know not what they do. What the enemy means to harm us, is worked out for our good. Amen

Desperation and embarrassment let me to searching. I don't know where my father got his information from but for years now I have heard him talking about peroxide as an effective rinse for bad breath. I really did not pay much attention to him even though I'm a nurse and I use peroxide all the time as antibacterial.

This afternoon I was sitting and talking to a few colleagues and the one I was closer to started saying "what is that smell, it smells like a dead rat in here". Having had bad breath for years I immidiately got suspicious. It's like when people sitting next to you all of sudden start fidgeting and looking around and you know next out comes the gum they offer you. Anyone with bad breath history know what I'm talking about. So I looked in her direction and continued talking and she repeated the same thing. Anyway I finshes my talking a little sooner than I wanted to and left together with one other colleague. I went back in and noticed one turned her head away when she saw me and the same colleague was just finishing the same humiliating sentence that she had said before.

I tried to convince myself to give her permission to make me feel bad but she won. I was devastated. I then decided to start looking into peroxide as a mouthwash and I stumbled accross this site.

I have used several different mouthwashes over the years Some were somewhat effective. I never really kept using them for a long time for I'm afraid that long term use of them may cause cancer. This morning, several hours before my humiliation, I used Tom of Maines because it claims to be natural. I have no choice now but to use peroxide and I will definitely do try it and I hope my halitosis and my days of bad humiliation are OVER.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THIS SITE EITHER BY SHARING THEIR STORIES OR BY PROVIDING SOME KIND OF HELP!

I liked more from health aid maybe I stick to that. My tongue is pinker now and I clean it everyday with Ora brush. I have a tonsil that has a crypt, when I eat junk food or cheese the next day has a little tonsil stone. I check it everyday, twice day when I brush and clean it with a q-tip. I believe the very bad breath was from that. I am calm now with this problem! Don't panic, you'll find the answer to your problem, the best thing you can do, TALK to your parents, siblings, boyfriend, girlfriend, the person you are close to. I hope I helped!

Thank you thank you for posting this. HYDROGEN PEROXIDE TO THE RESCUE. I have researched bad breath a lot but never heard of hydrogen peroxide.
I have the stinkiest breath for a long time which has robbed me of my life .Even though I scrape my tongue, brush my teeth , gum , roof of mouth and inside of my cheeks and floss many times a day and used many advertised mouthwashes nothing helped.
My ex-wife used to say our bedroom was stinking from my breath. At work people were keeping their distances from me and some were getting really mad at me thinking my bad breath was from lack off of oral hygiene . I was going to Las Vegas and out of desperation I googled " bad breath clinic " in the hope of getting some help there and this page was one of the search results.
The day I read this page I googled " hydrogen peroxide for bad breath " and I found a page where it says to combine hydrogen peroxide and warm water 50/50 and soak the tooth brush in it to kill bacteria on it. Then scrape tongue , brush teeth with toothpaste using the decontaminated brush then swish and gargle for 45 seconds with the 50/50 mixture. So that day before going to bed I did exactly that.

The next morning I knelt by my bedside rested my head on my hands to say my prayers. When I pray in order to keep my mind from drifting to other thoughts I say my prayer loud which helps me concentrate on my prayer and normally I smell my own stinky breath bouncing of the bed and hitting my nose full force . But that day I didn't smell anything. I thought my nostrils were plugged and so I went to the bathroom and smelled my deodorant. My nose wasn't plugged I could smell the deodorant. Next I looked in the mirror and for the first time in my memory my tongue was pink, the inside of my cheeks were pink. Normally both were coated and looked whitish. I scraped my tongue and smelled nothing. The stink was gone , the ever present bad taste in my throat was gone. Thank God Almighty finally something which works for me. I cried for joy because all my life I have been humiliated by my bad breath, given up on social life and in short I was a spectator of others having a life and written off myself. So many times I had concluded my life wasn't worth living and had it not been for responsibilities I would have taken the easy way out long ago.
Again Thank You People for sharing this finally there is hope of social life and life for me. Who knows even romance!

By the way when I told one guy about my problem with bad breath and how hydrogen peroxide helped me he said usually the cause of such aggressive bad breath is yeast infection ( candida/ thrush) and he said people can easily get yeast infection from many things including drinking beer, wine and eating nuts . So if yoy have a good doctor it is good to get tested for oral yeast infection.

I have a 13yr old daughter and she has had chronic bad breath since age 4. I have tried all types of home remedies, most recently a tea tree oil, peppermint oil & baking soda rinse. It masked the odor for about an hour. We have gone through tons of gum & breath mints. I came across this site a few weeks back, bought the acidophilus and I have not smelt any odor.... Do you have root canals? Anaerobic bacteria have been found to be the leading cause of bad breath as well as likely rheumatoid arthritis. You can google this. I do not know if there is a way to rid yourself of these bugs. Theory has it that they still produce in the root canal teeth and migrate into the bloodstream. I suffer too, and wish you health.

Hello, I m suffering from halitosis since I was kid now I am 28years old. I have been in very bad mood, crying dont want to go to work because my colleagues are teasing me and hummiliate me to others!! I ve heard phrases such as I hate you, smelly dimitra...etc! When I was a teenager no one told me anything for that, in college I started noticing people rubbing their nose and look the other way when I talked.i thought that I should brush my teeth more thorougly.i asked my mother one day and said to me that since I was a kid and in college my breath smelled! She didn't warn me once!! I was so ashamed!!! If she did maybe I wouldnt be in this situation now! The last couple of months I have read everything about halitosis, from tonsil stones till tongue scrapers, apple cider vinegar, warm water with soda and salt....and the list goes on!!! I ve tried everything!! I gargled with avc soda and water chlorexidine 0,2%. I use toothpaste that doesnt contain sodium lauryl sulfate, I floss every day twice a day, after a while 1-2hours bad breath is coming back.

I read your answers and saw that may people talked about probiotics and that some people dont have so much good bacteria and bad bacteria are more in their body. I said to my husband I ll take probiotics, so I bought ACIDOPHILUS 4BILLION. From the first day my taste was better.. my bad breath comes from the tongue when I licked my wrist it was smelly! Now NOTHING!! I take 2-3pills per day.its not a medicine its vegan and doesnt contain dairy. It helps with digestion and balances the bacteria in your body, I m going to the bathroom everyday! I watch my diet very much cause when I eat to much or drink alcohol more than two glasses of wine bad breath comes back, I lick my wrist and I know it. I take one pill after a while its gone. So I eat less every three hours, I have more healthy diet, I eat fruits and vegetables, I eat yogurt and kefir that contains probiotic. I did believe that my bad breath was coming from my mouth but I went to see a dentist and said that its not from my mouth. also check very good your tonsils for tonsil stone I found a crypt with a tonsil stone and now I clean it everyday With clorexidine with a q tip.My bad breath comes from bad bacteria in my body!! So the solution for me is ACIDOPHILUS. I ll try 8billion now. I m doing this 20days now I asked both my parents and my husband and said not bad breath anymore, I went to my job from the first time without chewing a gum! I'm feeling much better now! Also my mother told me that when someone is rubbing his nose doesn't seem that your breath smells.

I hope I helped! Don't be ashamed!! People say bad things because they know nothing!!! They think that your not watching your hygiene! Well prove them wrong!! Try probiotics!

Have you had a blood test for Diabetes? Several people that I know emit a foul smell due to Diabetes.

Do you suffer from sinus infections? Post nasal drip may cause a terrible mothball like smell in your breath and stool.

In the meantime, in order to combat the internal smell, you may try Mint Asure and the best mouthwash is a product called Smart Mouth.

I used to have a somewhat furry tongue(white) I used to smoke for years and drank a lot of beer. What I did was I went out and bought some extra virgin coconut oil, originally to make the swelling in my tonsils go down. I brushed my teeth first and then put a big glob of oil in my mouth. I tilted my head back and let it sink to the back of my throat. I held it there and gargled it for about 20 minutes. When I spit it out, my tongue was immediately wayyy pinker. I think I'm allergic to the oil though, because I ate a few tbsp of it and broke out in minor hives on my finger and lips. But it really cured my white tongue. I stopped using it though because of the hives and now to keep my tongue pink, I dip my toothbrush in mouthwash, brush my tongue, and use a tongue scraper to scrape it all off gently. My tongue has improved 90% in one week.

I forgot one important thing I used and I think this may have done the most good. I spray Colloidal silver in my nose over the course of less than 2 months. Probably did this 5 times in total. Just a small squirt. Remember, moderation! Good Luck!

I agree with Brian. I neglected to add that when my husband over does it on bread (or excessive carbs) he has an offensive body odor. His breath is not but his BO is.

Because our food is being engineered to last longer, I feel this has an effect on how it is digested and/or assimilated. My husband is also in his early sixties.

Re: Bad Breath..

My daughter brushed her teeth twice a day, ate healthy and drank lots of water...and suffered for years with bad breath...It was only as an adult that she often found the bad breath went hand in hand with acid reflux, so she stopped drinking cow's milk for a few months, and experimented with other varieties of milk, finally finding that Almond milk, Coconut milk and sometimes even Rice milk were all good. She stopped drinking coffee and learnt to drink Almond milk chais and no longer has any problem with bad breath .

John, seems you have looked everywhere except in your gut. Please try going low carb to withhold the sugar that will decimate the species of yeast in your gut that is fermenting food into the bad smells that you emanate. There are some 66 species of yeast that can take residence in the gut but not all of them all of the time, they do vary. But seems you have a dastardly one in permanent residence. Go low carb for a month and then kiss your wife, passionately, and let her be the judge.

I have found a link to BB with H.Pylori-in the gut. Get rid of the H.Pylori and the BB may cease. Just a thought.

Garlic, Col. Silver and many other things help reduce H.Pylori. It is very difficult to treat...not sure if this will help, but just my first thought to your issue.

May God bless you and help you with this issue.

I am in my early 60's. Bad breath has plagued me my entire life. I have tried every possible method. I have been to the Monel Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, Penn, Dr. Preddy was the one I saw. He ran me through a series of tests, sent me to a dentist, interviewed my wife and came to the conclusion, "Yes there is something", but gave me nothing to solve problem. My wife has said she thinks I make this up because my brother told me I had BB when I was young. I do not know why she can't smell me.

A lot of others have said they can or body language indicates so. I am sure you can relate to the following: Rubbing of their noses, offering you gum or mints, a sort of wrinkling of their face, as if trying not to inhale, even had one guy tell me I needed to have my teeth cleaned. I go to a dentist twice a year and have my teeth cleaned. I have a physical with blood work annually. All numbers in normal range. My doctor tells me I am in excellent shape. Confided in my dentist, but no suggestions or ideas.

I can smell it and taste it. Ranges from fecal smell, the dead smell and vomit. Tried flossing, having tonsils removed because of pearls (at age 28), tried Dr. Katz products, use a Hydroflosser water pick, nasal irrigator with saline solution, scraping tongue, brushing tongue, the chemical products available (3 different manufacturers), apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide , baking soda, chlorophyll (tablets and liquid), Probiotics, Acidolphillus, colloidal silver and I am sure some others I have forgotten. Results are the same: helps at first, then it returns. It never leaves.

I can go through my morning regimen, which lasts 15 minutes, and within 30 minutes can smell my breath. It has become an obsession. I have a good personality and a college education and most people either overlook it or tolerate my problem. I was in sales prior to starting my own businesses, which involves sales. The majority of the help on the market try to treat the symptoms. I have not encountered anyone or company that tries to treat the cause. It does not matter what one eats or drinks. I know people that have horrible hygiene and do not have BB. I know people that do not use deodorant and have no body odor. I know people that have similar life style, smoke, drink and eat similar products that do not have BB.

The study I would like to see would be to find the chemical makeup of those that do not have odors and compare that to those that do. There is something they have that neutralizes the odors internally. Just my opinion. I have gone 3 months without drinking because of a diet that did not include alcohol. Somewhere, in the back of my mind, I thought it was the fact that I drank beer. Love to play golf and drink beer with my friends. Not so, BB is present whether I drink or not. Currently, I am not drinking because of a medication I am taking to help with rheumatoid arthritis. Supposed to take for 6-9 months. One month into it now. Still have BB.

Not writing this to give any cures or ask for advice, because for some of us, there are no solutions. To read this, one would think that I am a pessimistic person. Furtherest from the truth. I own several successful businesses and deal with a lot of different people. An eternal optimist that believes I can do anything I set my mind to try. Except I can't overcome this problem, which is very frustrating. I miss the kisses with my wife. Even though she says she can't smell me, we don't kiss. I have been in a terrible automobile accident and almost lost my leg and have recovered (as completely as I could). I am not a quitter.

So, I guess the message of this entirely too long dissertation, is this: Deal with your affliction as best you can. Keep trying whatever you think helps. Don't give up. If someone doesn't want to be around me because I have BB, they are going to miss out on some great stories, business opportunities and just good times. It is their loss. I can't help my problem and I have tried my entire life to overcome it....sorry. I have never reduced this to writing or told this to anyone. Thanks for listening.

Have you tried a blotting toothbrush? I would recommend trying this daily to ensure clean teeth. It may take a few weeks to see more permanent results from this, but it is a fairly simple process. In addition, I would recommend oil pulling daily and brushing with activated charcoal and coconut oil. All fairly easy additions to your current routines. You can even use the blotting brush on your daily commute if you want to try to include it but don't have the extra time to really dedicate to the full process.

It was such a blessing to stumble upon this cure. I had suffered for years. I had tried everything: elimination of dairy, various expensive mouthwashes and "systems", nasal irrigation (to reduce post nasal drip/sinus problems), water pik, pills and tonsillectomy (tonsil stones).

My hygiene had always been impeccable, so I had no idea why I had bad breath. My ENT found tonsil stones and recommended that I gargle with diluted peroxide and use an antihistamine nasal spray. It didn't work. I finally begged to have my tonsils removed. The bad breath went away for a few weeks before returning. Something told me to try peroxide again. Voila! My breath smells like...NOTHING. I needed the combination of a partial tonsillectomy and hydrogen peroxide (diluted 1:1 with water). My tonsil stones were hidden between my tonsil and the wall of my throat. I couldn't "hit" the problematic area with mouthwashes while my tonsils were still present. Interestingly, the tonsillectomy alone wasn't enough. I needed this mouthwash for maintenance. I use it twice a day and I'm free of bad breath!! Thank God. This stuff is the answer to my prayers.

I just had to share. P.S. I gargle ~45-60 seconds

I started doing the ACV gargle yesterday for some bad breath issues which I suspect have something to do with my out of whack digestion .. same thing happened with the brown specs .. I thought I harmed something in my mouth :(

Hydrogen Peroxide

Had an awful odor between a natural tooth and a crown, at the gumline. Did everything I could think of to eliminate it, short of using a jackhammer. In less than a hour after rigorous cleaning, scraping and brushing with a teeny DenTek brush, it was back.

Found this site and with it, the wisdom of hydrogen peroxide, along with various user examples of how it worked and was applied. Got myself a bottle and in just one day, I was freed of this awful curse!

I used it for several days then finally decided to stop and see what would happen. It has been over a week and so far, the odor has not returned. Success, and for less than a dollar.

My dentist had said sure, come on in, you will need an x-ray and probably a trip to the periodontist but we'll see you. Had I not found this site, I would have subjected myself to unnecessary radiation, extra costs and who know what else from a periodontist.

So thank you, everyone, for your wisdom and input.

It is hard to fully express how grateful I am for the information on this site. The input has saved me from an expensive, grueling dental appointment and likely gum scraping followup, which no one wants to undergo!

After noticing a distinct odor coming from between two rear molars every time I flossed or used a tiny brush to clean the area, I was distraught and called my dentist. They said to come in for an x-ray and exam (spend more money for nothing) and then I would probably have to go see a gum specialist. So I started researching and found that hydrogen peroxide can be very helpful for gum issues, so I bought some and added it to the baking soda concoction I use as mouthwash.

After only two applications, the odor is completely gone! Previously, I would scrub and clean and even put some toothpaste in the space, but the odor would return in less than an hour. Today, I ran the ultimate test and checked it with the tiny brush before even rinsing or cleaning my teeth, right after getting out of bed! No odor!

This is amazing and I am thrilled, so thank you everyone for your wonderful information about this life-changing, CHEAP solution to what is a common problem and can really cramp a person's style.

What I do is fill my water irrigating device with about one part H2O2 3% plus one part water and two tablespoons baking soda, then run it with special attention to that back area and keep the liquid in my mouth for as long as I can (2-3 minutes). Easy peasy, life is good!

I got lime juice and used a tongue scraper, WOW!! Usually when I brush my teeth and use mouth wash or use hydrogen peroxide, bad breath just comes back, even if I scrape my tongue. I am amazed by how well the lime juice is working!

I used a strong hydrogen peroxide to rid a mole on my face. It's bought at health food stores but not all carry it. Just a tiny drop on the mole (it does sting for a min. But then stops stinging) then in a few days it falls off. Apply again if not totally gone. Do not use if mole is closer than 1/2 an inch.

This is all great information - thanks everyone. I have been a halitosis sufferer since puberty & have a good routine (including scraping/hydrogen peroxide & baking soda mix) as well as excellent oral hygiene. The one thing I am missing is real feedback - my wife has given me some at different stages of the day which has been useful but I would really value some more honest feedback. If anyone is Singapore/Malaysia based (or even London as I am there often), please let me know.

Hi Lala, I used to hate the smell of ACV too, until I started making/drinking it like lemonade (a glass of water with a few tsp of vinegar instead of lemon; with honey or sugar added in). It became so tasty this way, now I love to use ACV for everthing (health drink, mouthwash, skin, hair, nails). Also be sure to buy the ACV with "the mother" (the murky looking stuff floating around the bottom of the bottle), NOT the clean/clear vinegar. If the smell is still too strong, dilute it with alow vera, water, (or rose water for lovely soft skin).

Hi Jane. I just had tosillectomy. I have tonsil stones but when I go back to work I noticed my co workers still cover their noses when I talk to them. I'm more than frustrated. By the way, I am always constipated. My cousins also, I think it's hereditary but they don't have bad breath. Can you tell me about your formula or the food you're eating.

Acidophilus

CANDIDA OVERGROWTH IS THE CAUSE!

You have to kill the candida first and then take the probiotics. Candida is hard to kill and you need something very strong like Black walnut hull tincture. I followed many of the remedies here to alleviate candida and white tongue and nothing worked until I did a serious bowel/candida cleanse as follow:

Dr. Clark Clark Bowel Cleanse + Oregano oil

Duration: 25 days

Breakfast:

Black walnut hull tincture (20 min before breakfast)

Drink a cup of hot water before breakfast

Take 3 caps of turmeric (500mg)

Take 3 caps fennel (450mg)

1 caps of digestive enzymes

Take 2 caps of betaine (350mg)

Take 1 cap of Cascara sagrada (350mg)

1 empty cap with 5 drops of oregano oil.

Lunch:

Take 3 caps of turmeric (500mg)

Take 3 caps fennel (450mg)

1 cap of digestive enzymes

Take 2 caps of betaine (350mg)

1 cap of magnesium oxide

Dinner:

Take 3 caps of turmeric (500mg)

Take 3 caps fennel (450mg)

1 cap of digestive enzymes

Take 2 caps of betaine (350mg)

1 cap of magnesium oxide

1 empty cap with 5 drops of oregano oil.

Between Meals

Lugols iodine: 6 drops, 4 times a day in glass of water

Doses:

BWH tincture: day 1 to 5: 1 tbsp every day in COLD water

Days 8,12,16,20 and 24: 3 tbsp everyday in COLD water

This bowel cleanse is very effective because uses anti-parasitic, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal agents. Candida works in conjunction with parasites and bacteria.

After this cleanse then you need to take a strong probiotic formula to make sure your intestinal flora and fauna is balanced. (find an 8 strand formula of at least 10 billion).

Hope this helps! It helped me a lot.

Avoid Gluten and Dairy

Avoiding or at least minimizing (eating only a little and only once or twice a week) gluten and/or dairy will make a pleasant breath and heal even severe bad breath.

For some people gluten is the main issue, while for others, milk and milk products are the main issue. In the beginning milk or gluten (after testing by elimination which is the main issue) should be more carefully restricted (even in the beginning one can make occasional exceptions), after which, minimizing one or both will be sufficient.

At times other foods or food groups may be contributing to the problem. One should test by eliminating the particular food or food group for a few days or more. One may be amazed how quickly the breath becomes sweet, when the food that the person's body can't tolerate is avoided.

I drink alot of coffee with milk and always thought it was the milk that caused the BB. I just did the peroxide gargle and what a difference. It's like someone took the sweater out of my throat. I'm very grateful for this advice and will share with others. Thanks you.

I have also suffered from BB for many years, I read these posts on a regular basis, I believe my problem is candida albicans, therefore I recommend you try the probiotics, antibiotics, caprylic acid and pau d arco, oil of oregano, and digestive enzymes, my BB is not caused by anything in my mouth its systemic, I do use baking soda, and peroxide, and Neem toothpaste and mouthwash, I never use any market toothpaste or mouthwash, they tend to dry my mouthout. NOT ANTIBIOTICS--SORRY -- I MET ACIDOPHILUS----

Acidophilus

Could be a vit B deficiency? Start with 1/2 TBS. of BSM (Blackstrap Molasses) in some milk or water before going to bed. That contains all the B vitamins and they must be taken together to prevent a deficiency in any of them.

Acidophilus

Can acidophilus be used for an 11 year old? My daughter has terrible breath. She also has stinky feet when she wears tennis shoes and socks all day, but there is no peeling or itching like athletes foot. She also has a plantars wart on her foot near her big toe and the one next to it. We had a doctor 'remove' it with the cautery method 2 and half years ago. It seemed to have gone away for awhile, but now it's getting larger and isn't reacting to salicyc acid. I found this site last night searching about the banana peel method, so we are going to try that. I was just wondering if there is something internal like a virus that is causing the bad breath, stinky feet, and wart susceptibility? Any suggestions would be great.

Chlorophyll
Posted by Vishal (Los Angeles, Usa) on 05/24/2013

Hello all. I too have been a culprit of BB. However, I have white hairy tongue which is elongation of filiform papillae which are the smallest papillae's on your tongue. These papillae trap bacteria and food debris and create chronic halitosis. I've tried everything, even went and extracted my wisdom teeth last week but still no change. I'm going to try liquid chlorophyll and I hope this will make a change. I'm 27 and I already have grey hair because everyday I stress about this problem. I think twice before opening my mouth and saying something. I brush twice a day and scrape my tongue and its been over a year and still no changes. This has def. caused a dent in my social life.

Do you use a tongue scraper? How often do you visit a dentist to clean your teeth and pockets? Have you tried an elimination diet, or a cleanse-- like master cleanser or a raw milk (if you have a reputable dairy nearby) cleanse?

Also, how many grams of fiber from whole foods are you getting, preferably from fruits and vegetables, not from bran or fiber powder? Is it at least 25grams or more? I noticed I would be very constipated for a long time because my average for many years was more around 9-15 grams a day, sometimes not even that. In terms of constipation, and menstrual issues, I was helped a lot by blackstrap molasses: 1-3 tablespoons a day in water normally, and the day before my period or during my period I would take 3 tablespoons two or three times a day.

Also, how much do you sweat? Maybe there's someting wrong with your lymph system and I could see how, having body odor you wouldn't want to emphasize that by sweating but that helps get out the funk and detox somewhat. So if you can encourage sweating with exercise, and also use epsom salts/baking soda (and ginger if you want) baths. Alternatively, you can do hot and cold showers which help the lymph system and the skin because it increases blood flow. It also helps with depression.

And, what type of deodorant are you using? I've been conventional-deodorant free for several years and have run the gamut of baking soda, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, various alternative commercial deodorant. I've now been using perfume oils that are made with essential oils and I'm in LOVE with this stuff.

Elizabeth: This looks like an obvious case of "dirty colon". This is usually the case of aged persons, but you must have undergone some kind of exception. Anyway, here's a link to remedy this condition. https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/colon-cleansing.html

Let us know how you're progressing.

Multiple Remedies

Hi Elizabeth: According to the book, Digestive Wellness (Lipski), if you have halitosis, you may want to do the following:

  • be checked for infections (H pylori, GERD, gastric ulcers)
  • eliminate constipation (which you mention you have) by increasing your fiber intake, make sure you are properly hydrated, exercise, take magnesium (most of us are deficient), take digestive enzymes, evaluate any medications you are taking which may cause constipation, take vitamin C
  • take a good probiotic
  • have your HCl levels checked (your food may be fermenting instead of digesting properly) by having your doctor run a comprehensive digestive stool analysis with parasitology evaluation

Perhaps a naturopath instead of a regular doctor might be what you need. In the meantime, the book I mentioned is really interesting and addresses all sorts of digestion problems. You even may be able to find it in your library. They do say that good health begins in the stomach. I hope you find the answers you are seeking. Good luck! Bess

Try coconut oil, eat it, brush with it, add a dab of baking soda and put a blob in your mouth before bed. Spit in trash in the morning... won't be long.
