Colloidal Silver

I was always suffering from bronchitis, to the point where my GP refused to give me any more antibiotics. I'd heard of nebulising with colloidal silver for a while but was always too chicken to do it. The stance by the GP pushed me into action, as I'd already been suffering for weeks and it wasn't going anywhere. So I poured a very small amount of colloidal silver into the nebulising container and breathed in and out deeply for 5 minutes. I began to get a headache and stopped. But I did feel a bit better otherwise. Three hours later I tried again, but this time didn't get the headache, so kept going for 10 mins. Again, felt a bit better. That evening I nebulised again, this time for 15 mins. I repeated this for 3 days. By the fourth day, the bronchitis was completely gone, never to return. That was 1.5 years ago, but thought I'd share this story seeing no-one else has mentioned the colloidal silver-bronchitis connection.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda and Olive Oil
Posted by Mama To Many (Middle, Tennessee) on 04/25/2013

I took Apple Cider Vinegar my whole last pregnancy with only good results. I drank water with ACV all day and it completely controlled my heartburn. I used to live on Tums and presciption medicine for this in all my other pregnancies. I also had no gall bladder trouble during pregnancy which I usually have. I put perhaps 1 teaspoon per glass of water and drank maybe 6-7 glasses a day.

I'm pregnant and I'm also wondering the same thing. I searched online and it seems that the information is unclear for the medical field. On the other hand, some websites have real mothers answer this question and they said ACV works well for them even when pregnant.

Fig Tree With Piloncillo

The title is misleading, the original title was Fig tree leaves tea. I just mentioned other names for piloncillo. In fact, I have used colombian panela which is more tasty than Jaggery. Thanks

Dina, you feel lousy after taking ACV cause you are experiencing a die off reaction from it killing the yeast, just try to detox more and start with smaller doses of Apple Cider Vinegar at first.

I used to use this remedy. Few days ago I needed it and forgot about proportions. So I used about 2 or 3 tablespoons of mustard seed with 1 eggwhite, no flour. I could hold it for about 20 min. because it was burning, but it helped.

Next day I put flax seeds and mustard seeds in a coffee grinder and grind them. I put a lot of vaselina on my chest. Added warm/hot water to flaxseed and mustard seeds and put it on my chest in cheese cloth. I liked it better b/c it was already warm. Maya

I use ACV and baking soda practicly everyday for all sorts of reasons. But when I have Bronchitis or sinus issues or just feel a cold moving in, I steam with baking soda. In a small pot of boiling water with a teaspoon of olive oil that is steaming real good sprinkle some baking soda, about a 1/4 tsp at a time and sniff and inhale while the baking soda is fizzling. It is so soothing, it will move the mucus out and kill molds virus and bacteria. Do it as much as you want its harmless unless you stick your nose in the hot water.

I found garlic tablets (odor free) to cure pneumonia several years back. I kept getting infections over and over and recurring bronchitis, as well. But, within a few days of taking large doses of garlic (about 1000mg) my lungs cleared completely. I kept taking it for a while, just to be on the safe side. My lungs have been clear ever since, even though I only take it sporadically now. It's some good stuff!

We always keep raw honey and ACV in the home. It is my new go to prescription for a lot of issues. It stopped the bronchitis awful cough in seconds flat. And kept it at bay continually. I tell whomever I see in public who is suffering to use this protocol. I am sold on it. It works. Why flood your system with drugs?

About 10 years ago, I had a severe chest 'cold', not sure if it was bronchitis or not but it felt like it. I went to an Indian restaurant (actually it was Pakistani cuisine, of Balti style), and got a chicken fal. It was recommended to me, someone knew what they were talking about. It is hotter than vindaloo, hotter than tindaloo. I was completely cleared out within 24 hours. I had lots of water, rice, naan and mango lassi to go with it, to be able to finish it. If you can't get to an indian restaurant or an asian grocer, make your own with coconut oil, lots of garlic cloves, chopped spicy peppers, and spices like black pepper, cayenne, fennel and lots of turmeric.

I have been using and recommending to everyone this protocol for bronchitis cough. Mix juice of 1/2 lemon, 3 capsfull of ACV, 1 TBSP of raw honey, add 4 ounces of hot water and mix up. I would drink or sip on it. When you have night time coughs that keep you up... Mix up a batch and set beside your bedside. That way you wake up and take a sip or drink more.. Then turn over and get sound nights sleep. Worked charms for me!!!

Fig Tree With Piloncillo
Posted by Shanon (San Antonio, Tx) on 06/03/2012

Just know that piloncillo looks like a brown candy corn. In Mexico we use it for many remedies and for some reason it works better than using brown sugar. It also tastes differently so please, don't confuse it with brown sugar which is more processed. It comes in a cone shaped wrapped in clear plastic packaging and is dark brown in color and the way you use it is by cutting off a piece and boiling it with tea leaves. Mexican candied fruit like candied pears (peras en almibar) can be made this way and are delicious!

After mixing up the acv, honey and water I tried this and it is very similar to Theraflu-which I thought was both interesting and helpful because I had ok luck with Theraflu but you are only supposed to take it about every 4 hours, I need more relief than that at times.

Oil Pulling
Posted by Liz (Caledonia, Mi, United States) on 03/07/2012

I had a cold last fall that turned into bronchitis. The bronchitis was terrible and lasted for several months. I tried everything - natural and medicinal to get relief and it finally did improve, but not completely. Every time I went outside or did anything that made me breath a little harder would turn into my gasping for air and coughing up phlegm. I ended up having to use an inhaler often and that wasn't always a huge help.

A few weeks ago, I ran across an article online stating that a woman healed her asthma by oil pulling. I had tried oil pulling ages ago, so I was a little familiar with it and figured I had nothing to lose by trying it again. WOW. I felt quite a bit better after the first oil pulling. It only took a few DAYS to completely remove any problems I had with breathing. I have not had a single issue since.

I hope this helps someone else as much as it helped me. It feels so nice to be able to breath clearly again! Oil pulling is amazing.

Hello there! : I'm Colombian and I know what 'piloncillo' is: We call it "panela". It is a process to make sugar from sugar cane. First you have molasses, we call it 'melasa' it's the syrup or caramel from reducing the sugar cane juice. They pour it in moldings, let it solidify and that's 'piloncillo' you can get it in Hispanics Markets. After that they make brown sugar with it by using some bleaching and then it's converted in white sugar by more chemical bleaching.

I've been reading the posts here on use of HP since last night. Have used a nebulizer with albuterol off and on for several years. This is my allergy season and I'm congested and coughing. I was about to use the neb as usual this morning and instead took a look at the bottle of HP tucked away in a cabinet. It's 3% and label says okay to use as a rinse. So I put 1/8 tsp in the neb and used it. Nothing happened, no sudden upchuck, but I will continue using the hp instead of the drug and I will add updates.

Nice web site Earth Clinic! I'm passing it on to friends!

Garlic
Posted by Jay (Toronto, Ont, Canada) on 09/01/2011

To: Abc Pneumonia from Kansas City, Missouri, Usa.

Let me try to answer your questions in order: "Jay, did you swallow the chopped garlic on an empty stomach, or did you eat before taking it? After swallowing it, and drinking the cup of water, what reaction followed in your body?"

Raw garlic is a broad-based natural antibiotic. The way I and others have used it to clear up chest /lung congestion is to crush and chop 2 medium or 3 small cloves and let sit for 5 minutes to let the enzymes start to work. Then I put these finely chopped pieces in a tablespoon and into my mouth. At this point I swallow as many times as necessary to swallow the complete amount of garlic and follow with 6 to 12 ounces of plain water. For me I do this on an empty stomach and have no after effects other than the obvious garlicy breath.

I followed this procedure daily for a couple of weeks and eliminated a lingering congestion problem that didn't seem to want to clear up on its own(which I thought might be leading to the more serious condition COPD.

Since then, at the first sign of any chest congestion I follow this procedure for a couple of days for a quick resolution of the problem.

To me the key elements of this treatment are 1. - raw garlic, 2. - crushing and chopping allows the enzymes to start working, 3. -continuing the treatment on a daily basis(and ignoring the social implications of garlic odour :) ) until original congestion symptoms are gone.

------

Your second question : "Were there stomach cramps, hotness of the stomach, stooling or vomitting."

I certainly have never experienced any of these reactions and would strongly suggest that anyone experiencing any of these stop the process and explore other treatment options. There are several other natural products that help eliminate chest congestion; garlic just happens to be very easy and very inexpensive.

------

Your third question: "Will this be good for a woman, that has lost a lot of weight, and has chest pain?"

Now this question confuses me as chest pain suggests a different problem entirely. The above addresses chest congestion which entails some breathing difficulty along with coughing up mucus/phlem with these symptoms persisting beyond the normal 1 week chest cold variety.

Chest pain needs a more detailed investigation and is not something that can be addressed properly via internet chat.

Hi Deb from Pg, Utah! I read on this site that you can create a borax solution which you can spray on the parts of your house which has grown molds. I think you should try that so you won't become sick.

I used to have bronchitis 2-3 times a year and it would last up to 2 months. I read on this site that you could inhale hydrogen peroxide to cure bronchitis. I bought a bottle of saline nose spray, dumped the contents and filled it with 3% peroxide. Now the moment I feel congestion in my throat, I spray 3 sprays in my mouth and breathe it deeply into my lungs. No more bronchitis for the last 4 years. This is an amazing remedy that works quickly.

It is possible that you are reacting to the corn because it is in all likelihood genetically modified. The biotech industry downplays adverse effects to GMOs, but in truth you are eating something that has been genetically altered using viruses and bacteria. They rigorously deny the possibility of horizontal gene transfer, but the presence of BT toxins in the blood of 93% of a sample group of Canadian women belies that. There's already plenty of evidence that the Bt-toxin produced in GM corn is toxic to humans and mammals and triggers immune system responses.

Flour, Dry Mustard and Egg White

My family has been using mustard plasters for generations. Not only do they relieve chest congestion associated with a productive cough, but are also amazing when used in conjunction with a steamer for turning a dry caugh into a productive one. We have used them on children 3 years and older with amazing results! Until now I had never heard of mixing it with egg whites, as my family has always mixed it with hot water.

1tsp mustard powder, 3tsp flour, and enough hot water to make a thin paste. I find that a peice of old flannel bed sheet (double wrapped) works the best. Lay it on your chest for no more than 45 min to 1 hour at a time, less for sensitive skin.

CAUTION:I recomend checking skin every 15 minutes to ensure you don't burn. A little bit pink from the warmth and moisture is ok, and you should be able to feel a bit of heat from the mustard. If it gets uncomfortable, or if skin starts to go red take it off and wait until skin returns to normal. If it takes skin more than 30 minutes to return to normal, do not continue.

I hope this helps your family as much as it has helped mine! :)

Regarding the Oil of Oregano drops. YOU MUST use diluted Oil of Oregano drops. NEVER use pure undiluted or it will burn your mouth and cause damage. You can diluted it yourself or buy prediluted.

I speak from expereince I burned my taste buds off of my tongue and it took two weeks for them to grow back. It was miserable not to be able to taste anything when I ate. Never use any undiluted essential oils.

Colloidal silver and oil of oregano- 3 drops under your tongue 3 x a day and drink a table spoon of colloidial silver 1 x a day for a week. ACV - 1 tablespoon in distilled water - sip through out the day, ACV at night- 1 tablespoon in green tea with a table spoon of organic honey. I have broncites right now and the ACV in the tea has made such a huge difference at night. Sipping this through out the day has all but eliminated the cough and all the mucous is moving out! Oil of oregano and colloidial silver are huge in fighting viruses and bacteria! Just make sure to get a good CS and an Oil of Oregano that is 75-86% carvicol.

DMSO, MSM
Posted by Candyland (Brooklyn, Ny) on 12/25/2010

Reading the website I wondered if I could get some info on what to do as the dissolving takes place from the inhalation of DMSO and ingestion of MSM. I have chronic bronchitis and as the permanent damage loosens it does not come out right way rather I go through severe choking spells both day and night, impossible to breath or expel enough to make a real difference. I also inhale essential oils 7 times a day in boiling water, almost four years now 15 broken ribs and one coughed out intestine. No relief. Am I doing something wrong or is this the process? Just wanting to know if I'm on the right track and will eventually break the bio film that holds the disease to my body. I understand, no guarantees just some helpful feedback would be nice at this point.

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation Method

I did the Hydrogen Peroxide method and eventually my brochitis was cured but lost my sense of taste and smell for a year now and it never did come back completely the way is was before I got sick. Was it worth it? well yes because I thought I was going to die if something didnt change. I was sick on and off for over a year. I had mold in my house and believe that was causing it. I am sick again and trying it again but not in my sinuses this time just as an inhaler for my lungs. Hope I do not lose my taste and smell completely again.

Garlic
Posted by Saoirse (Ny, NY, Usa) on 10/28/2010

Here's the way without any odour--

Get a clean, small jar
Dice up a clove or 2---
Put it in the jar
Juice a fresh lemon or might need 2
Put the fresh juice in the jar with your garlic-

You want to have more juice than garlic, like a 50-50 or one third garlic....2/3 lemon juice--simply eyeball it-
Now you're ONLY going to take the liquid, not the diced garlic! Somehow the lemon juice extracts the potency from the garlic. Take one tsp 3-4 times / day always followed by water. Keep it refrigerated

And make a new batch every other day as needed, usually about a week at the most- can be used for insect bites---you see the swelling go down in under 5 minutes, etc

Try it
No garlic breath and the benefits of citrus together with it.

During the last few years bronchitis became a very serious problem. One year I spent coughing for 3 months. After trying numerous remedies I realised that raw garlic is the answer. I cured myself twice with garlic.I simply ate 3 cloves with my food. Now I use garlic as a prevention: As soon as I start coughing I immediately eat one or two cloves a day with my food. However, it has to be raw garlic. Powdered or pickled garlic does not work. Thank you so much for this website. Today I am putting in all the things that have helped me during my life.

I used this flour/yellow mustard/egg white technique on my two year old the other day to help with his severe chest congestion. I made it up, held it on w/ an elastic bandage, then went to researching exactly how long I should leave it on. There were extremely conflicting opinions - everything from "don't ever do this to a child" to "it's okay to leave on overnight." Well, I didn't want to do any harm, so I left it on about 45 minutes and then removed it. Within 5 minutes, he coughed up more mucous than I've ever seen in my whole life. So much, it made him throw up, but there was definately a ton of chest gunk everywhere. sorry...I know that's totally gross! but really, it was amazing and I can't be convinced that it wasn't the paste that did it. He still has some congestion, but I'm using alternative methods, as I have yet to decide on how safe this one is for children. However, it was incredibly effective for that one time - he was having very productive coughs for the rest of the day.

I discovered that garlic cures acute bronchitis by accident...

I've been diagnosed with acute bronchitis and been sick for a month and two weeks and nothing seems to be working. It appeared as if I kept on getting relapses...

Growing up, I've always been told by mom that garlic is good for the health and what not. I've also been hearing it from others, tv, etc. But I've always thought it was just for minor things like a sniffle or so...

One day I decided to go "gung-ho" and chop fresh garlic into my salad. Maybe it was my primitival instict kicking in, but I thought that maybe strong dose of fresh garlic may do something. On the same day, I decided to include fresh garlic into everything - including my dinner pizza. The next day I started to feel better. I still wasn't sure if that was just a calming state before another relapse so I didn't jump into conclusion. Second day passed, Third day passed, and now I'm on my fifth day of feeling back to normal.

I then "googled" garlic and cures to read about garlic and its healing properties. That's when I found this site and discussion!

Thank you.

Hot Cooking Spices

Spices and COPD, Chronic Bronchitis:

A year ago, I was diagnosed with chronic Bronchitis - COPD, so severe that my ears turned blue from lack of Oxygen. My blood pressure was very high, too. The DOT immediately yanked my Health card for driving truck. When I went to the Dr. my Oxy saturation level was 81. He put me on an inhalor and I had to use a Nebulizer several times a day. Nothing really changed. I could breathe a little better, but was still able to walk only for short distances. I love to cook, and tried to think of the healthiest people that I know. I started cooking with spices from China, India, and other Asian areas. I use curry powders (in various heat ranges), Tumeric, Cayenne, Garlic, Ginger, Paprika, Mustard, Wasabi, and others. I use one or more of these ingredients in every meal, and most snacks, that I cook. About two months ago I had a physical, blood work, and EKG in preparation for surgery. My lungs no longer "wheeze" (I do have a bad day once in a while...but not DAILY); my blood pressure was normal; my Oxy sat level is 95 to 97 percent; (both) Cholesterols were at healthy levels, and, except for my COPD, I am as healthy as can be! The best result of eating all that good, spicy-hot, healthy food is that I can walk at least a half a mile without "running out of breath." I have NEVER posted to any Website but feel that people should be aware of the benefits of spices and herbs. I have now found a local store that sells 1 pound packages of spices, instead of paying $4 to $7 in grocery stores for those little bottles. The savings are phenomenal. This is the best site that I have found that re-enforces my belief in hot foods. Thank you EARTH CLINIC
