Potassium, minerals, Co Q 10 etc

Potassium is commonly given by Drs for heart health. Our daily need for potassium is 4400 milligrams and a banana has 300 mg and strong vegetables have more. The common American diet has so little vegetables that, as we age, our potassium continues to deplete. Potassium supplements are regulated at 99mg which is ridiculously low so we can take may of these pills at a time if necessary. Yes, co enzyme Q 10 is incredible at rebuilding the heart in general. I had a bodybuilding client that got cardiomyopathy (a weak and baggy heart) from steroid use, I think. I suggested Co Q 10 and in 3 months, his Dr said the heart was repaired and he could continue the hard workouts. Back to potassium, which we need for heart health and angina. Dr Berg has an electrolyte supplement with 1000 mg of potassium. Don't overlook minerals as age and general depletion sets in. Add in magnesium orotate at 400 mg.
