I have inadvertently discovered an incredibly simple treatment for dark circles under the eyes..

I have always had dark circles under my eyes, and they are especially noticeable in the fall and winter. If I eat something with a lot of sugar, my dark circles are twice as dark the next morning, so my best remedy to date was simply to cut back on sugar and wheat. Helpful but not a cure. I have tried a lot of remedies and products over the years to see what could help this issue!

I have now tested this remedy on and off for a year and can confirm, it really works for dark circles.

My remedy is 5 drops of 12% food-grade hydrogen peroxide in a large glass of distilled water, taken twice a day. Within a few hours of taking it for the first time, I noticed the darkness under my eyes reduced by 50%. By the second day, about 80%.

Along with dark circles, I've noticed an immediate improvement in digestion and tons of energy.

If I stop drinking h2o2, the dark circles come back.

I'm not a fan of a Apple Cider Vinegar per se as I do find it hurts my teeth. But drinking a tiny bit in warm water at night really does get rid of dark puffy eyes. It's amazing. I honestly think it does more than any of my lotions and potions. Impressed!

If you have bags under your eyes, you need to make dietary changes.

1) When I stopped eating salt and salty foods, I still had bags under my eyes.

2) When I stopped eating processed foods, I still had bags under my eyes.

3) When I stopped eating grains and gluten, I still had bags under my eyes.

4) When, for energy, I started relying more and more on fats, as opposed to carbs, I still had bags under my eyes. However,

5) Ever since I have been on a ZERO-CARB DIET, the bags under my eyes are barely visible.

6) The bottom line is, mainstream sources push salty foods, processed foods, grains, fruits and vegetables, They also claim, "Whole grains are the most wonderfully healthy food", "Fruit is the most awesome food on earth", "Carbohydrates are healthy and needed for energy", "Fiber is healthy and needed in the diet", "Dietary fat should be no more than 30% of calories", "Saturated animal fats are the cause of heart disease", "Hard cheeses are unhealthy", "Chicken fat is poison that instantly plugs your arteries", and "Eggs cause bad cholesterol". However, ever since I've been doing the exact opposite of everything they're telling me to do, I no longer have bags under my eyes.

iron supplement + vitamin c

I suffered with dark circles since my early twenties. I thought they were hereditary. They got worse after pregnancy. I started taking iron supplements because I found out I was severely anaemic. I would become breathless very quickly Within two weeks of taking the supplement, the dark circles and dark eyelids were gone. My skin was brighter. My dry skin was less severe. The palms of my hands became more softer as did the soles of my feet. My cracked heels healed very quickly without any other intervention from me.

Warning: Do not take high doses of iron. It can be very poisonous. High doses can also cause systemic candida which is very difficult to get rid of.

If you are anaemic then that may be the reason for your dark circles. My doctor prescibed 265mg ferrous sulphate to be taken three times a day. This was too much and made me ill and gave me systemic candida. My doctor poisoned me. It caused me terrible fluid retention.

Now I break the ferrous sulphate tablet into 4. Then I have 1/4 every five days or so. This is sufficient. I can't believe I suffered with dark circles for so long and would have to wear makeup everyday to hide them. Now I don't bother with makeup at all because my skin is so much clearer.

Hi, I have suffered from dark circles under the eyes for ages, and then a while ago I started injecting myself with Vit B12 and noticed that the dark circles left! The same doesn't work with B Complex tho - only B12.

Now when I get them, I give myself 1-2mls and away they go!

Apply to face nightly. I freeze my ACV in a ice cube tray. When I want to take some I cut it into little pieces and take with warm water. This way you can't really taste the ACV and you won't ruin your the enamel on your teeth.

Colon Cleanse

I couldn't agree more with Kristen's suggestion below. I have had dark eye circles all my adult life and have watched my mom's get darker as she aged. In an effort to overcome some illnesses I have, I decided to try internal cleansing. I found one that worked amazingly well and one of the side benefits of removing toxins from my body was the lightening of the dark circles.

I've written about this in another thread for heavy metal cleansing and they asked me to name it so I will again. It was Dr. Natura's Colonix internal cleansing system. It's really simple, gentle and effective.

It promoted better bathroom results, easier female cycles, a cessation of hair loss, thicker, stronger and longer nails, decreased the dark circles, cleared up my skin, helped me sleep better, gave me more energy, increased my cravings for fresh veggies, I lost about 15-20 lbs, and my middle shrank in inches from finally being empty like it is supposed to be.

Beauty begins on the inside, you can't just slather the stuff on and expect results. Dark circles, skin conditions, hair loss, etc., are signs that our bodies need work on the inside.

Blessings and good luck!

I have been taking Black Strap Molasses now for three weeks. 2 tbsp a day In that short time frame, I have noticed an increase in energy, my monthly cycle wasn't the horrid painful nightmare it usually is, it was pain free, clot free, and psychosis free for the first time in my life. And the nasty dark circles under my eyes have all but vanished! And they were bad, I looked like I had two black eyes. I tried everything you can think of to get rid of those dark circles and NOTHING worked before now. I look five years younger! I'm amazed at the results I've seen so far and I've been telling everyone I know about this site.

I have noticed several things about dark circles under my eyes... Besides being genetic, they are very much related to both food and environmental allergies. Too much sugar and my chronic circles are darker than dark. Too much wheat, same same. If I am experiencing congestion from pollen, my dark circles are worse. My antidote besides cutting out the food? Apple Cider Vinegar tonic: 2 teaspoons taken once a day in a large glass of water. Works almost instantaneously

I've had dark circles since forever. When I put on makeup, the most important thing I'd use was concealer. In my late 40s, I started to see a raccoon in the mirror.

I totally cleaned up my diet and my dark circles are much, much lighter - I don't bother with concealer any more. I can't say what did the trick since I made lots of dietary changes at once. Here's what I did:

Gave up all processed foods - make everything from scratch.

Gave up gluten.

Replaced soybean/corn/canola with olive oil/butter/coconut oil.

Try to get grassfed meat, raw dairy, organic fruit and veggies when possible.

Added fermented foods to diet.

I never thought my dark circles would improve. Thought it was genetic. Many other health issues improved as well. It's a sign of good health.

Good luck

Juicing

I have to agree with below posts about juicing, for about a month or two my wife and I were juicing apple, carrot, celery, ginger, parsley, and beets. Our parents commented it was the best we have ever looked. We felt great too. Makes sense because you are eating living food which feeds and detoxifies the body like nothing else. Your skin literally begins to glow with life. I need to get back to it.

Believe it or not I have had practically face lift results from juicing 1 to 3 times a day.! Can I get an amen?! I am 39 I have had bags under my eyes literally since I was 12. My husband and I have gone mainly vegan and we have begun juicing daily. I cannot believe the miraculous results with my eye bags. If I can find some before and after pictures. I will try to post some or send them to you. It absolutely was unintentional. I didn't realize it would be so dramatic in fact I've had to actually believe it or not get used to my face without bags. We have been typically juicing cabbage, celery, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and ginger root. I would definitely try. I also was having a major problem with a red face that is now gone as well. I actually thought I had foundation on one day when it started clearing. I was trying to rub it off my face, lol. Also if you have any type of stomach problems which I was developing kiss them goodbye as long as you keep using cabbage! Good luck

Calcium and Magnesium Citrate

I use coconut oil in my diet and topically and a mutli mineral that is 1 to 1 ratio of calcium magnesium and my dark circles that I have had since childhood are gone and they were DARK.

I think my other magnesium that is citrate also plumped my skin back up and so the skin is not thin under my eyes any more and the wrinkles in my forehead are fading away and they were deep tracks.

If you are trying new things... Go slow!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Please do not put stuff in your eyes, especially apple cider vinegar! You could seriously damage the eyes and end up blind. ACV should be diluted and mixed with juice and should be used as a liquid drink.

At the age of 60, l have "young eyes and face" by drinking green drink every day. You can purchase any good greens powder and mix it or you can do what l do inexpensively. Take 1 cup real pineapple or orange juice in the blender. Add a handful of parsley. Puree and drink. It tastes like the juice. Amazing what it does in 30 min. Takes 5 years off your face. Feel free to add any edible greens to the mix when you have it. Radish tops, carrot tops, lambs quarters, sprouts, and if you need it, any healthy oils, 1 tblspoon. Do not use strong flavored greens like mustard or kale or turnip.
