I have not had a stool for 40 min, kept in a glass of water and feel good. I am now going to finally eat something.

Grape fruit seed extract is the very best for a stomach ache' 5 to 6 drops in a cup of water. It works also if you swallowed some bad water while swimming or drank some bad water while traveling in a different country. It has a very bitter taste. helps kill the germs and bugs.My child after throwing up and trying many different things was able to go to sleep and rest without pain. It has worked even for my friends!!

Charcoal pills were used for severe food poisoning. Eating chicken that has been left out in the heat of the blazing sun from 4am to dinner time, no refrigeration. Many around me got sick with severe bowel problems. I took charcoal pills, the loose bowels stoped within 10 min.

Caught a bad stomach bug (or food poisoning) while in Mexico. The locals said a flu bug was going around. I always carry ACV, Lugol's iodine, charcoal, oil of oregano, probiotics, and a host of other goodies just in case. Regurgitation (8 times was so violent), I thought I'd be carted off to the ER. The next day my entire body was terribly sore, even my eyes, teeth and fingernails hurt. I rubbed DMSO cream everywhere that hurt (no - didn't put in eyes! ) and it took away the soreness. Eyes still tender. Just remember to take OofO in the AM, and at night repopulate the good gut flora with probiotics.

Activated Charcoal, Apple Cider Vinegar

I need some help quickly as I start back to work on Monday. I didn't realize that I had food poisoning for about a week. I have the runs only for about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours in the morning. After that I'm fine the rest of the day. I thought it was an after effect from Covid.

I started on Activated Charcoal about 3 days ago. Added ACV and Turmeric yesterday. This is my second day on all and it's still bad. As soon as I get up it starts.

I took 2 T of ACV in the morning straight. (yesterday too)

Then today I've taken (4) caps of Turmeric (500 mg) every hour for the last (3) hours and

(3) caps of Activated Charcoal (280 mg each) every hour for the last (3) hours. These are taken 30 minutes apart. So Turmeric at the top of the hour and Charcoal at the bottom of the hour.

I'm drinking lots of water and the last couple of bowel movements were basically all water.

So, I think it's almost stopped for today, but I need help so it doesn't start up again tomorrow.

PS. I do not have any other symptoms other than the diarrhea.

KenValoa Kuki, I am a fan of silver and I was wondering where you found information to suggest that adding 3~6 drops of DMSO to the oral intake of colloidal silver will give added benefit? I also was wondering if you add the DMSO directly to the silver nanoparticles and then drink this mix? Thank you! Art

Apple Cider Vinegar, Charcoal, Garlic
Posted by Melissa (Ashland, Oregon) on 12/31/2013

This is a post about Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), Activated Charcoal, and Garlic. I tried these three remedies for a bad case of salmonella poisoning. I'm thinking I have food poisoning as I ate four partially raw eggs. And to be quite honest, I was skeptical--but only at first.

The apple cider vinegar was the first remedy I tried. I took 2 tbsp straight. The first thing I noticed was the calming effect it had on my stomach. It took the edge off the uneasiness, but didn't completely take away the nausea which came back an hour later. So, I took 2 tbsp of the ACV again. I fell asleep feeling better, but not cured.

The next morning, I felt like the right side of my stomach had something cooking inside. So, I took the ACV again, but this time I felt like my stomach was extremely raw and sore. I didn't want to stop taking it, so I waited 5 hours before taking the last dose.

I also began reading about active charcoal on various sites. I was reading that it absorbs bacteria and toxins, so I bought some of that later in the evening. I immediately felt sick after taking it and later began burping/tasting the fumes--which I'm still experiencing now--a day later.

I have several questions relating to my experience:

1) Should I still continue to take the ACV until I'm completely better? I'm concerned that if I continue taking it I'll eventually burn a hole through my stomach.

2) I heard raw garlic is a great remedy for salmonella poisoning and would like to go back to taking that (which I did for two days). However, I read that it, too, can cause stomach bleeding. Should I start taking that again? If so, how much? I took 4 cloves the first day and 8 cloves the second day.

3) The active charcoal still feels like it's sitting in my stomach a day later. Is this normal? Should I be taking more of it or wait until it's digested?

4) Should I take any kinds of supplements or just rest my stomach for a day? I think I should wait a day before taking anything, but I also don't want to develop more serious problems.

Any feedback, insight, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Apple Cider Vinegar, Charcoal, Garlic
Posted by Yvette (Grants Pass, Or) on 01/01/2014

Hi! I have several questions about using Apple Cider Vinegar, Activated Charcoal, and Garlic for a family member who has a bad case of food poisoning from 4 partially cooked eggs.

She noticed her stomach is sore after using ACV for two days. She took 2 tbsp with water twice daily. Can you safely cut back the amount you're taking to 2 tsp twice daily and still get the same results?

We also read that you should keep up this regimen for at least 10 days or until symptoms subside. Is this generally true?

What is the recommended dose for Activated Charcoal? I read that a naturopath recommended that a woman take 3-4 capsules twice daily for food poisoning.

We heard raw garlic is good for salmonella poisoning. What is the recommended dose for garlic? One clove? Two cloves? Three or four cloves? How many times daily?

Sincerely, Yvette

Salmonella Infection Remedies

On Sept. 1, 2013 I started having a severe back ache. It got much worse real fast, and two days later I was admitted into the hospital with a full blown case of Salmonella Bacterial Blood Infection. I am just really starting to feel better. I have fought weakness and back spasms from the beginning... I was a pretty sick lady. As I understand this type is rather rare. Some of the doctors believed that I contracted it through my skin. I did not eat the bacteria as far as they believed. This is only the second case like this the infectious disease doctor had seen. Anyone had something similar and how long before you got over the back pain? It is better, but has a good ways to go.

Activated Charcoal

I purchased activated charcoal several years ago when I read how wonderful it is for a variety of things.

My son thinks that he ate some shrimp that were not good several days ago and has felt terrible since and has had diarrhea for several days. Could I give him the charcoal now and should I buy a fresh product since I have not used this for several years. I have not refrigerated it. Should it be refrigerated?

Lugol's Iodine

I had a chronic case of salmonella food posioning. I read in Dr. Hulda Clarks book 6 drops of Lugol's iodine 4 times a day would get rid of the salmonella. I forgot how long she said to take it. I usually take the iodine for a couple of days after I feel better. Lugol for me works every time I pick up any salmonella bacteria from eating out.

Lugol's Iodine

I travel extensively and carry a small HDPE bottle of Lugol's for the inevitable food poisoning that occurs in restaurant food. When I get a case of it, I take 15 drops of Lugol's in water and it takes less than 15 minutes to stop the cramps. Dr. Hulda Clark does recommend Lugol's Iodine. I buy my Lugol's in pint bottles at the local pharmacy. I tell the pharmacist that I use it for staining tissue slides for microscopy. It works every time.
