activated charcoal for fungus, ringworm

4 years of trying most of the things listed here and more, I still had fungus that went across my face, down my neck, onto my chest and armpits over the 4 years. Only thing that worked was fasting for 3 days, and it came back immediately. Then one day I started taking charcoal capsules one a day, or sometimes one before each of 2 meals, because I was trying to offset the crap (pesticides, teflon, seed oils, etc) of restaurant eating. Within a couple days, my fungus started receding. The charcoal was the only new thing in my diet. Pretty easy, harmless, cheap thing to try......

Out of the blue I developed a fungal infection under my breast, stomach and on my scalp and neck. I personally feel fungal issues are linked to parasites in the body but I know the medical community wouldn't agree. What got rid of it was Salicylic Acid body wash and a cream. Don't worry about the percentage. I also brought a shampoo that contained the ingredient. It cleared my fungal rash in all areas. I used it twice a day for a month. I also did a parasite cleanse with wormwood and black walnut hull.

Eye infection bothered me too. After doing a lot of gardening, and not covering my hair, or washing every time I gardened, hair got at night into one of my eyes, on side I like to sleep on. The long hair in my eye kept waking me up, and few days later my eye was tearing up, and itched. That went on for several months.Thinking it was a dry eye, I bought dry eye eyedrops, computer dry eye eyedrops, and some other drops. No help. It still teared and itched.

Then I prayed about it, l and got that a drop liquid Grapefruit Seed Extract by Nutribiotics (the original company that makes clear extract) diluted in filtered water, applied by an eye cup would be the help I needed. The itching stopped in 2 days, and the entire problem was completely gone in a week.

You can buy empty capsules online (or - with caution! - empty a capsule you have at home, keeping in mind that there will be residue in the capsule and, in this case, you're putting it in your ear as opposed to ingesting it)

Hi Carmel, I have the same terrible (but clear) mucus running down the back of my throat almost constantly. It comes when I lie down at night and I have to spit up mucus for the first hour, then when I wake up and stand upright it starts again..And especially after I eat. I guess my body heats up and starts to dissolve the mucus. I know mucus is a blessing and an immune reaction to something that might kill you, so your body surrounds it in mucus to protect you. I know this is a fungal ball(s), because I actually pulled one out of my nostril one day...It's affected my vision, and I can hardly see out of my right eye. It's filmy and blurred.

If you find anything that helps you, please let me know...I've tried everything, including prescribed anti-fungals, to no avail. Thanks, Joy.

Hi Tom, ...

Do you think the Grapefruit Seed would have any effect on a fungal ball in the upper sinuses? I've had this condition for 11 years now...mucus at night when I lie down and in the morning when I'm up for a few minutes, also after meals...I get pressure in my head sometimes...Right eye very filmy...getting really worried...Do I have to wait for a Med Bed? Please let me know what you think. Mucus comes mostly down the back of my throat, more than my nose. I know you're not a doctor. Just looking for your experience with this. Thanks, Joy.

It occurs to me that we had a dry powdered hand cleaner in the shop in a dispenser when I was a kid that was called Boraxo. I don't recall it seeming harsh but it was powder soap which was weird to a kid so I may not have noticed. Seems like it might be a good way to get some boron in the system, washing one's hands with it...I don't know. Your hands made me think of it...

Boric Acid for Ear Fungus

Have had a fungal infection for over 10 years that was given 4-5 different diagnoses. Finally found an ENT who tried boric acid “kills everything” and a week later follow up appointment no more fungus. He gave the name of a tool to use called Sheehy-house Powder Insufflator and it blows the powder into the ear. He did it once and said I can do it once a week as needed and just use regular boric acid!

I used to get that under the breasts and don't recall what worked...it was either petroleum jelly (which the body won't take which is why you use it for cats with hairballs) for smothering and soothing it or a paper towel twisted into like a rope with ACV on it and place it in the fold. I did both. The ACV stung like the dickens at first but then felt SO much better and just as soon as it stopped hurting, I kept it wiped with baby wipes. The first pack I bought was, in itself, irritating so I had to go back and get "unscented" baby wipes.

Since I've been rid of the problem, I keep it at bay in summer by applying a stripe of coconut oil and wiping with a baby wipe. I think it's bacterial and fed by sweat. I don't know that but it's the first thought that occurred to me when I started having the problem.

Tea tree oil was too harsh. Ouch! You can also tuck a wide piece of t-shirt material under the band of your bra. Make several because you don't want to leave sweat dampened cotton on your skin so you'll want to change it a couple times per day in summer. Bacteria loves cotton for some reason and nobody boils their underclothes anymore. Linen would be better but might be too rough, initially.

The best material I've found is Nike's performance fabrics. 4 way stretch, wicking and antimicrobial. SUPER soft and comfortable! I hated to do it but couldn't find that material back then so made shorts of a pair of Nike yoga pants and used the material from the legs. I don't often need them except in summer, these days, but the strips of fabric have lasted for years. They must be 20 years old now. And they hand-wash like a dream. I put them in a big plastic jar with a couple drops of dish soap, a little splash of 3% hydrogen peroxide and one of those rubber dryer balls and shake the heck out of it. Rinse and toss them over the shower curtain rod. That high performance fabric dries very quickly. It also keeps the area cooler somehow, when you're "wearing" one so there's less sweating to start with.

If you use the ACV, be prepared to grit your teeth, at first.

If it were mine I would probably use coconut oil, it's anti fungal, anti bacterial, anti viral and anti microbial. I would try to sunbathe those spots 15 minutes each day if possible, the sun heals skin issues and increases hormone . D is hormone . Dhea helps my muscle and fights cortisol overload . My dose is 10 mg every 4 days .I would also try to balance minerals and water for my body to calm down . I also like GABA and occasionally use ashwaganda ...so peaceful. Usually when one gets weighted down, and skin sags into folds it is not necessarily from eating too much but from stress and dehydration which includes mineral balance. The body produces histamine in response to mineral and water imbalance, then all hell breaks loose and you feel awful. Increase MSM and vitamin C for collagen production and also Magnesium for muscle tone. Borax does miracles for all these areas but add stuff slowly.Read a lot before starting any borax. Apple cider vinegar with the mother or veil in it 1 tsp in 12 oz water drink through a straw in morning to improve gut health for digestion . You can't absorb minerals when your gut is out of balance. Most people crave stuff because they are dehydrated or have a mineral imbalance that makes them tired so they run for a lift with coffee cola sugar or choc to make them feel better but none help in the long run. Been there done that.

Go watch Eric Berg on youtube and you will learn lots of insights. I have not done the keto diet and don't recommend it even though he does. It's extreme, and hard to keep it up and most people end up gaining back more than they lose . Moderation is key to joy. I use a large appliance box cut in half on back porch to sunbathe in so no one sees me ....tiny swimsuit and pull up swim top so lower part of breast gets sun and also under the arms and in the pits. This is where most cancers in women begin. If this does not work for you go to the messy stuff, castor oil ( the palm of christ).

One last thing could be diaper rash zinc vitamin D cream or fungal creams for women near pads at walmart. Whatever works for you .Blessings, Charity.

I can relate to the "rash" on the perineal area. Also, it was itchy! My Gyn was no help. But, I discovered organic Apple Cider Vinegar (the brand with "the mother"). Within a couple of weeks of drinking the ACV/Baking Soda recipe (https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/acv_baking_soda_cures.html), stopping ALL sugar, including white carbs (white rice, white bread), it totally cleared up. Sugar feeds fungus.

In short, take a look at what you're eating that could be contributing to this fungal infection.

Along with drinking the ACV/Baking Soda mixture daily, you could also dilute the ACV with distilled water (easily found in any drug store). In a clean, small container, combine 1 teaspoon of ACV with 3-4 teaspoons of the distilled water. Using a cotton ball or a wadded up piece of toilet paper, moisten the paper with the mixture, then gently apply it to the perineal area. Obviously, if you use a cotton ball, don't flush it, or it will clog your toilet!

NOTE: this might sting; if so, use less ACV or more water. The sting will go away once it starts to heal.

The comfrey plant has leaves atop long stalks ranging from 6 inches to over a foot. I would find a comfrey plant, tear off a stalk, chew it lightly to break and release the slippery sap therein; then apply the wet ruptured stalk to the rash, giving it a thorough coating. It only takes a minute. Do this twice a day, morning and before bed. You should see an improvement in a day or two.

Continue for a couple of weeks. I once had a pernicious damp-loving rash behind one knee and nothing I tried through many months would rid it. This insidious rash only got worse ...until I tried the comfrey juice. I hope you have some nearby.

Fungal Skin Infection:

I have had a horrible rash in the fold of my skin in my belly for months now.Intially I had it under my breasts too. I went to a dermatologist, who gave me diflucan and ketoconazole. After several months it did go away. Then it came back, but just on my belly fat and around my perineal area. I don't have insurance so I tried many "natural" cures. But nothing is working. My skin is raw, if there is any help anybody can give, I would greatly appreciate it.

i have a very serious case. Appearantly Bill does not respond anymore.

I have had sporotrichosis for a few months now. It started with a pronounced bump on the top of my head. Some time after that I was breaking out in sores around my mouth and chin. Next it came out in tracks down my arms.

I started taking liquid potassium iodide over a year ago and it seemed to be working but very slowly. A person in a health food and vitamin store introduced me to a supplement that made from an ingredient from garlic called allicin. It is really working well for me and almost all of my sporotrichosis sores are gone. I take about 10 capsules a day.

Carmel, I had terrible symptoms with horrific sinus problems for 10 years and doctors could not seem to help me. With me it was like an acid coming down from my head into my sinuses, down into my throat burning me as it trickled down, Acid burning all the way down into my upper chest. It was a 10 year nightmare! I finally gave up with doctors. I was totally miserable! With me the real problem was a little past the crown of the back of my head, just below the crown. For some reason when that part of my head was COLD this acid type liquid would come down causing the burn symptoms! Put a warm cap on or use the blow dryer or heating pad on your head when you are ill and see if this stops the problem. If not it's something else. But this worked for me! I am fine now. If it starts up on goes a warm cap.

I'm 46 and have suffered with various fungal issues for at least 30 years. Since I was a teenager I remember fighting toenail fungus (which continues to this day). I also had a "polished" circle about 1 inch diameter on my face where the skin was shinier than normal and my beard didn't grow right. The circle on my face was just a birth mark, so we were told. I struggled with recurring athlete's foot through the years as well. Seemingly, I got that to go away a few years ago by soaking my feet in ACV daily for several weeks.

For at least the past 20 years I've struggled with an itchy scalp, initially localized to one area on the side of my head. Over time I developed a swollen lymph node in my neck underneath the itchy area. An ENT doctor ruled out lymphoma and other issues then treated it as a bacterial infection with repeated rounds of different antibiotics over the course of many months. Antibiotics helped with the inflammation and itching, but the problem would return stronger than ever each time I stopped. I was referred to a dermatologist, who again repeated various rounds of antibiotics, but they also didn't resolve anything permanently. She never made any formal diagnosis but prescribed a steroid cream to help with the itching, but told me to limit its use because it would thin the skin, and so I eventually quit using it.

I've tried every sort of dandruff shampoo out there; internal treatments like Lugol's iodine, oregano oil and eating lots of garlic; even many topical treatments including colorless iodine, coconut oil, all types of essential oils including tea tree, oregano and thyme, ACV rinses, etc. About a year back I even tried using borax as a shampoo, which helped some. However nothing provided any lasting relief from the itching or allowed my scalp to heal. The itchy area grew larger and the affected areas became covered with scaly patches (scales as big around as a pencil, not small dandruff flakes). I could wash the scales off with aggressive scrubbing during a shampoo but they would return within 6-8 hours. The area continued to worsen, becoming red and inflamed until I started losing hair.

Not wanting to take any prescription antifungals due to their liver toxicity, I finally decided to give internal borax a try about 6 weeks ago. I initially wet the very tip of my finger, dipped my finger in the borax and then swallowed that (I understand this gives you about 3 mg of boron per finger dip). Within a few days, I noticed a dramatic reduction of the swelling in my lymph node. Itchiness did not reduce--I think it actually got more intense. But it seemed that I was seeing some progress in the appearance of my scalp, although it was very slow.

After 3 weeks of just dipping my finger in the borax I switched to dissolving 1/8 tsp in a quart of water and sipping the quart of water through the day. I saw immediate changes, starting with the skin between my toes cracking open as if I was getting athlete's foot again. Unlike past athlete's foot infections, the skin didn't crack deep enough to bleed, and over the past few weeks the skin simply peeled off and the area is healing without any topical treatments. Thick callouses on the bottom of my feet are also peeling off, revealing healthy skin underneath. The large scales have stopped forming on my scalp, and the skin is slowly changing to a more natural pink color instead of red. Even the circular spot on my face has started to lose its polished appearance and normal beard is starting to grow again. Additionally, the swelling in my lymph node has continued to go down, with it approaching normal size for the first time in probably 15 years.

It is too soon for me to know whether this will also kill the toenail fungus. My scalp still itches more than normal but certainly less than it used to, and all signs point to the borax finally killing this stuff. I'm optimistic that given more time I will finally eliminate these fungi which have plagued me for so many years. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am that this is working!!

For my body weight, the recommended Earthclinic protocol calls for me to use 1/4 tsp borax. I found that with the larger dose I experienced headaches and other die off symptoms. When I backed off to the lower 1/8 tsp dose the die off symptoms abated. So I'm taking 1/8 tsp in a quart of water for 5 days followed by two days off. When I'm taking the borax I drink two additional quarts of water to help flush out my system.

About a year ago, after learning how repeated antibiotics can worsen fungal infections, I started drinking about 1/2 cup of homemade milk kefir each day to help replenish the good bacteria/probiotics in my system, which I am continuing as well.

I am dealing with Sporotrichosis as we speak, symptoms started around May 6th. I have had to do my own research as the local doctors don't seem to know much, only about 250 people in the US get it per year, mostly Men over 50. I'm a 30 year old female, and my case is even more rare as it is throughout my body.

In my research generally if it is localized your son may get away with applying topical Terbinafine Hydrochloride cream. Unfortunately if that doesn't work he will need to insist on a FUNGAL culture as a routine culture will not work for diagnosis, and if positive he will need a regimen of Itraconazole for anywhere from 1-6 months.

ACV vs Fungal Infection

One day while at work I started feeling an itchy sweaty feeling on my abdomen. I looked in a mirror to find a red and inflamed patch of skin. I had never had anything like that. It smelled like belly button wax. I started with some Colloidal Silver on gauze to the area, and later added a few.drops of 3% food grade Hydrogen peroxide and replaced.it against the area for a few more hours - and these easily took care of half of it. I could feel that inflamed patch every minute of that day. Then when I got home I decided to try the ACV, as it is a truly miraculous substance. Within 30 minutes the patch was pink and healing. I put some soothing castor oil on it at that point and that "difficult-to-treat" fungal infection was banished within 12 hrs. Just because "they" can't come up with a cure in a lab somewhere, doesn't mean it's impossible to beat.

Ted here says he read somewhere that fungal infections can lead to cancer. I, too, have read the same thing. I will now alkalize myself with 3 drops of HP in a bottle of water every morning (best on an empty stomach), and then ACV in water later in the day. Forewarned is forearmed, they say, and I plan on doing everything Ted advises to get rid of this thing and he was suggesting the HP. Thanks to Heaven, the stuff is dirt cheap. You could find it at a health food store.

Best of health, everybody!

Hello, I used iodine on a bad skin fungus infection I had on my right arm. I tried alot of natural remedies...Aloe Vera, Coconut oil, Castor oil, ACV, Tea Tree oil but all seem not to be working as when applied, the virus would just explode and spread further or would scale back in size for a minute but then grow. I tried different things for around 3 months. I then read online - a different website - about iodine and a testimonial, purchased some from Amazon and applied it. It hurt when I applied it, subsided in pain for a while but fluctuated in intensity for a while then ceased. I noticed the infection looked dried and did not explode.

In 3 days I was cured and the infection was healing over. I then continued to apply Castor oil to heal the mark the infection left.

Definitely use iodine if possible to kill a fungus skin infection - avoid the doctor visit and co-payment. Not sure how to use this for a yeast vaginal infection as iodine stains and can be sensitive to a open sore like Tea Tree oil. Great Stuff, I recommend.

My sister had a resistant eye infection with similar symptoms to yours & tried many natural things but it did not resolve, then she spoke to a person who told her he used cellfood drops very diluted with distilled water in his eye & it cleared up the stubborn infection & took away the deposits in his eye. He also took the drops internally too. She tried it, began very diluted, then a bit stronger, must be distilled water with no impurities in it. She got it at a health food shop or online. It causes apoptosis to infected cells so your immune system can destroy what's hiding in the cells. It worked for her too, really well. Look it up, great on skin rashes like eczema, psoriasis etc, dilute it then increase strength as it begins to heal. Good for fungal infections in the body too.

Fungal infection on the scalp:

I have had extremely itchy scalp since being diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis two years ago. It began with taking amoxicillan. The dermatologist prescribed an elocon steroid lotion which I used but it actually didn't help and the side effects worried me. This summer I had the most unbearable itch that would spread to my face. I finally found a cure when I read that applying honey on the scalp will alleviate the fungal infection. After using that method for the three months, the itch has gone and I now just apply coconut oil with vinegar. I urge anyone to try honey as the results are remarkable.

Mix two tablespoons of honey with one spoon of water.

DMSO
Posted by Naturalcures (Nassau) on 09/07/2015

I was experiencing several skin funguses all at once. I got the DMSO - 99.98% PURE DMSO 8 OZ SPRAY BOTTLE PHARMACEUTICAL GRADE from Amazon. The experts say dilute this with distilled water - 75% DMSO to 25% distilled water, or more water depending on how much your skin can tolerate (Do a test first). If you do not dilute it could cause slight irritation or burn.

I was so upset with my skin problems that I did not dilute but went full strength with the first 3-4 applications. I was so shocked at how fast my skin problems started to heal after just 3 applications; the pain, irritations and swellings all disappeared. After the 4th application full strength I did start to see slight burns in the area so I decided to continue but with the diluted application.

This is how I applied it:

Once a day after shower or bath, make sure that your skin is clean and that the water you rinse off with is clean enough to drink, as the DMSO will carry any chemical or other contaminant on your skin directly into the bloodstream and cells all over your body. So I handle the DMSO carefully, I make that the towel I use to dry off my shin is also super clean. I towel dry my skin and then immediately (while my skin is still damp), I spray a light mist of the diluted DMSO all over (except for areas with hair). I spray a direct blast on the areas where the fungus has settled, concentrated or take root.

Do not touch your skin after this, wait for about 15 minutes for the DMSO to dry. I wipe off any excess DMSO from my hands with a super clean damp rag/towel. I stand in front of a fan to assist the drying process. After about 15 minutes I wipe off any excess DMSO with a super clean damp rag/towel. I then apply moisturizer to my skin with clean hands; during this process I decided to switch to virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil mixed with t-tree oil as moisturizers for face and body.

The result - miraculous! I have been praying to God and I believe I have received my answer! Thanks be to God!

I watched this video series on youtube and this gives more information on how to use DMSO. The gentleman in this video says he also takes it internally, and this is the next step that I will do following his steps. Do your own research on "DMSO internally" (best on youtube).

Yes it is hard, I tried and tried and failed and finally grew fed up with blocked nasal passages, excess phlegm, feeling tired all the time and wanting to be lazy, brain fog. Isn't it the worst?! You will have to grow completely tired of it if you are going to succeed. Just these last couple of weeks I firmly decided I was going to change my life, and it is a lifestyle change not a diet manipulation.

Your grocery list today should include all these natural antifungals: *Fresh garlic (put in most of your food, I peel a clove and put it in water and drink it) your relief and this fungus is at war... who will win? *Lemons organic (drink in your water, if it's too sour it's bc your body isn't use to it, get it use to it. Remember, all these foods are not for taste, they are for healing you by killing the fungus, this fungus will not go away without a fight. look up die of symptoms and start all these healing foods in moderation) *Apple cider vinegar with "the mother" (without the mother is useless) *Probiotics (start with 30 to 35 billion units) *Unrefined organic coconut oil (eat a teaspoon in morning and night) *Fresh local honey(i drink it in morning or night with fresh lemon as a hot tea) *Plain yogurt with live cultures (eat for breakfast with honey and lemon, eat with nuts to keep you full, also use it as your sour cream or whatever. *nite the most potent ass kicker of fungus that will save your life. Tea tree oil. Bathe in it, apply it to rashes. Read about it and how it has healed others. It got rid of all my rashes, my yeast infections, my respiratory infection and ear infection. Do steam inhalations. Like I said read all about it

Good luck and if you have questions or just want to talk about anything, e-mail me. I hope you find relief and I know you will when you get totally Fed up with feeling badly:) All the best, and remember, when you're feeling weak, tell yourself you can eat this stuff later, it's always going to be there, choose the healthy option and your choices will get easier. The yeast always wins by getting the sugar it wants, fight back!!!

I have just learned from a book I am reading (Why Isn't My Brain Working?) that chronic fungal infection on feet is an indication of poor blood circulation that causes inadequate oxygen suply to one's feet tissues.

Here is a little information I've learned from my alternative medicine doctor, Nystatin is for the great for fungal infections and it remains in digestive system and Diflucan is more effective for systemic fungal infection. I believe for acute fungal infection you need medication for over a month.

My doctor gave me choice garlic tablets, Allimax 100% Allicin Powder to begin with later on oregano oil pill 2 three times a day from more of broad spectrum attack, and I also took probiotics with this since oregano upsets the flora balance

Please be careful, using coconut oil if it is made from dried coconut it has mycotoxins (fungal/mold) Call the companies, and be sure coconut oil is made from fresh coconut oil.

This is to Daffodil,

You mentioned: "...I suffered with fungal infections on my face, including my eyes, for years before I figured this all out."

Could you please let me know what you did to clear the fungal out of your eyes? I have a fungal in my eye and 18months of eye drops hasn't cleared it. There are now calcium deposits forming on my cornea which has reduced my vision to 30%. All advice deeply appreciated.

Coconut Oil, Epsom Salt

★★★★★

REMEDY: 1) Wash and exfoliate (gently scrub) the affected area daily during every shower with a hand full of Epsom Salt. Repeat the scrub as many times as you like with more or less Epsom Salt during the shower.

2) Exfoliate your entire body with Epsom Salt (hair, face, hands, body, etc.)

3) After shower, pat dry. Use a separate towel for affected area. Don't use the same towel from affected area on non-affected areas to prevent spread.

4) Generously slather Extra Virgin Coconut Oil directly on the area (rubbing it in) and on surrounding areas.

5) Generously slather Extra Virgin Coconut Oil all over your body if you like.

6) Change and wash linen, clothing, and towels in bleach or detergent daily to prevent spread / reactivation.

7) Continue this process until the fungus is completely cleared. After it is cleared, continue using Coconut Oil and Epsom Salt regularly as an excellent health source and preventative.

MY EXPERIENCE: I developed a persistent rash on my hands which remained for nearly a year since doctors would not test it, only visually "assessed it (guessed it)" and threw the prescription pad at it. They assumed it was either: cellulitus, eczema, dermatitis, etc.

I tried many natural remedies (Vicks, Essential oils: Lavender, Peppermint, etc.) and prescribed (eConozole, mConozole, antibiotics, cortizone, steroids, etc.).

The prescribed caused heart palpitations, constrictions, skin thinning, and under eye black circles after 1-month of use -- so obviously I ceased them and refused to take anymore steroids, cortizones, conozoles, etc.). But the hand rash was still there advancing from at the webbing of my fingers to covering both hands, and advancing five inches up my right arm.

I prayed to God to help me and to clear it. Since rash is a form of (skin) corruption, I prayed Jesus remove all corruption from me in act, deed, or otherwise (broken promises, unpaid bills, etc.).

Afterwards, I decided to take an Epsom Salt bath / scrub since I hadn't in a while. During the shower I noticed the Epsom lightened and cleared large parts of the rash remaining only where the rash was more pronounced.

Then, while shopping I saw Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and decided to buy some knowing it to be an excellent skin conditioner. In both cases, I did not expect either would help the rash since I'd already tried so many other remedies. In fact, I didn't buy them for the rash, but simply because they're great anytime.

During showers I continued exfoliating with Epsom Salt, afterwards, slathering Extra Virgin Coconut Oil all over my hands and arms rubbing and massaging it in.

In the first 1 to 2 days on waking each morning I was AMAZED! Seeing the rash was lightening and clearing. It WORKS!

It's been about a week now and the rash is nearly 100% clear. I can see the true color of my hand after nearly a year of not. A doctor recently (finally) tested the rash and confirmed it is fungal. He precribed another "conozole" something, but I'm in no rush to pick it up since the Epsom scrubs and Coconut Oil have nearly cleared it entirely without one negative side effect -- and only positives (fungus cure, increased magnesium, vitamins, minerals, tone, etc.).

This is in response to Carmel:

I don't know if you have had success, it looks like you got a lot of good advice.

Years ago, I researched for Candida cure. I found information by a chiropractor (saved the info, then lost everything saved in a computer crash, so I don't have his name or site); he stated:

Focus on not trying to kill off the fungus overgrowth in your body at first, but to reduce. The fungus had the ability to "hide" itself once it detected an environment that it could not sustain itself in, and then it would just return later.

He did recommend many of the points above, reduce or eliminate sugar intake, etc. He offered a capsule type product to take internally, but it was very expensive, and I was suspicious if it actually worked. Then he stated if you couldn't purchase his product to look for a product that contained a list of herbs. I wrote the list of herbs, and started looking with no success. I decided to purchase the dried herbs or powder form, and take in a capsule myself, but didn't have much luck finding what I needed.

By chance, I found a product in the health food store, that had many of the herbs he listed. Without listing the actual product brand name, it was called "Candida cleanse". There are lots of products that have the title "Candida Cleanse", but this one had nearly every one of the herbs.

The herbs that I remember:

Black Walnut (green hulls), Indian barberry berberine, pau d' arco inner bark, garlic, ginger, cinnamon bark, genitian root, fennel seed, bladderwack, stinging nettle, marshmallow; the top 3 or 4 are the most important ones that I remember.

He also recommended a quality probiotic, but I don't recall those specifications. The product I found had the herbs and a probiotic in the tablet form. It recommended to take on an empty stomach half hour before meals 2 or 3 times a day.

I can tell you this, the first day, the itching stopped, so I knew I was on to something, but I had tried so many things with no real success, that I was only a little excited.

I added taking molybdenum with the herbal tablets at some point, but don't remember specifically, but I had read where Ted recommended it.

It was a slow process, but very successful. It might have been faster, but I was unable to stick to all of the recommendations like those above; I couldn't remove the grains, sugar, etc., but I did my best to cut those things down. I also dropped down to taking the herbal tablet to only twice a day. Still, I had great success. From day one I felt results, and it continued to improve slowly. I really don't remember specifically how long it took. I think I took the herbal tablets for 5 or 7 months. I stopped at some point during that time, and felt it was returning, so I continued again.

Finding a tablet form was great because then I didn't have to guess at the dosage of those herbs, but if I could only find the herbs, then that is what I would do. I wish I remembered the chiropractor's name or website, I would have thanked him.

I will add, the things that didn't work for me: VCO only made me gain weight, it was terrible. I loved VCO until I tried it for this. There might have been a bit of relief, but not really. And, please people don't tell me all the reasons why this couldn't have happened because 'VCO won't cause weight gain', because that is simply not true.

Borax, although it seemed to give some relief, I just couldn't stay with it systematically, and found it difficult to drink at work.

I know I tried other things, just don't remember now. It's been 7 or 8 years, and it hasn't returned so I'm all for the herbs. Good luck. :-)
