Hi my name is Tony and I am 22 years old. I have been suffering from things like hayfever, sinusitis and digestive problems for around 8-9 years. I cannot remember the exact date or year but have been suffering as far as I remember. But now I believe I am cured and I believe finally I have found cure for all these ailments. I will tell the exact cure later but firstly I will say but I had for treatment for last 6- 7 years and what I did to get rid of all my problems. Firstly the doctors prescribed me all those usual hayfever sprays and tablets such as Beconase and Zyertac etc. I started using these intially I got better but the things got worse by time. I will cut it short so I tried all the pills but later got rid of it, later used Neti pot also have been exercising for 4-5 years. Also have been taking vitamin C ans zinc tablet to strengthn my immmune system. All these things did work and really improved my condition but I still would suffer from allergy symtoms specially sinusitis. I would feel pain in my sinusis every single day and I would ask myself that what in the world would it take to cure this damn thing. Forgot to mention I also tried detoxing, some garlic tablets and some natural hayfever tablets and other stuff. All these things would work in the short run but I would never ever totally feel better. I would also mention I tried apple cider vinegar with cayene and honey for a past month, it helped but not as much. Even after trying all these things I was determined to cure my allergies. I would even google like cure for allergies to find any cures.

If there was one thing that I was convinced about was that my sinusitis was related to my digestive system. Then I also read on many places that allergies may be caused by not enough digestive enzymes in the digestive system. I donot know for sure If I have low digestive enzymes or what ever because there are no tests to confirm.

But 4-5 days ago accidently I discovered something. I was watching tennis at night Australian open and was eating grapes. I consumed around say like a cup of grapes and I felt so much better. I felt like the dinner I had like an hour ago digested rather quickly and I was feeling really hungry again.

I had found the misssing link for myself it were grapes I mean not just grapes but fruits. Then I just googled for benefits of grapes I was surprised to see the many benefits included asthma, heart disease, digestion etc. Since then I have been eating friuits like grapes and blueberries after every single meal I have. I start eating fruits during the breakfast and ends with dessert at night. And I have never felt better in my life. I would recommend any one with allergies hay fever or what ever problem you have to eat lots of fruits and vegetables every day and get rid of any sugar stuff you eat and see the result for your self.

I know this may seem like a long story but I just want to help everyone who is suffering like I used to, so they could get rid of all these ailments and be healthy. I wish I had done this 7-8 years ago just eat more fruits and I would not have had go through all the sufferings I did. How simple it sound eat more fruits. I would recommend every one to google benefits of grapes or benefits of blueberries or other fruits you will be amazed by the health benefits they provide. I just want to share my experiences and hope it will help others.

thanks for being patient and be healthy.

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation

I did not find much remedies here for hay fever. I was suffering from hay fever badly this year from bush fire, climate changing to spring and a lot of people around me getting viral and bacterial infection. With the hay fever I started sneezing every so often that my lower back pain was triggered by it, my nose, eyes and throat itch and my nose got so sore from constantly blowing my nose from all the sneezes I tried antihistamine but it only made me very sluggish so I only took it once and stopped. I decided to try one of those supermarket's herbal supplement for hay fever and still no relief. The last stroke was I started coughing and I didn't lke the sound of that as my workmate just got worse from flu infections. I was constantly gargling with ACV before drinking it and it soothes my itchy throat and gargling with Hydrogen peroxide also helps get out the phlegm.

Anyway as a last resort and fear of the cough worsening I decided to give the hydrogen peroxide inhalation a try. I have previously tried it but can't seem to work it out properly without wanting to gag. Anyway as soon as I spray it directly into my throat, within minutes I stopped coughing. It was after an hour or so that I realized it also took care of my hay fever symptoms. My nose and eyes stop itching and I stop sneezing which was a huge relief. I immediately felt much better and not sluggish. God is good.. All of nature's problem can be remedied by natural healing provided for free.. Or at least cheaply by our heavenly Father. It is good to do the inhalation every hour or so initially and then I only do it now as needed specially when the air is getting smoky around here from all the bush fire.

I had 40 years of suffering hay fever, taking all known drugs on the market without much sucesss. My eye lids would fill with fluid and I appeared drugged from September to March. My sister told me to try Apple Cider Vinegar as a shot or mixed in water twice a day. I did this for the whole season. After a few days my nose and sinus dried up. I had to use honey to stop the throat itch. I no longer suffer with hay fever and the best part I have not had any asthma either. This was 3 years ago. When I get a little tingle I drink ACV for a week and it's all gone.

I've had hayfever for 35 years and have tried every box of pills on the chemist's shelves, some worked and some didn't. After reading this wonderful site I had started taking Turmeric 3 times a day to heal a great big boil I had (half a teaspoon in warm milk)I have to be honest and say it tastes REALLY BAD but so what just get it down! To my surprise I noticed that I stopped waking up in the night with a runny nose and during the day no sneezing etc. For the first time in 35 years I have been free of hayfever all summer thanks to Turmeric 3 times a day, many thanks Earthclinic

Did you try organic ACV? I find that the organic type that has not been filtered works really well. You can find it at a health food store, but often regular grocery stores will carry it as well.

Prune Juice

For hayfever try using half a glass of prune juice before you go to bed and when waking up. This will reduce the symptoms hay fever with a few hours. You can take more prune juice during the day but since it contains fibre, excess might cause constipation. So you will need to find your own balance. But taking half a glass twice a day should not be a problem.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Hay Fever:

This didn't work for me. All of last year I took ACV every night in hopes that I would beat my hay fever in the summer. Unfortunately, when summer came this year, my hay fever was just as bad as ever.

Hi everyone, I'm another fan of turmeric! I started taking turmeric about two weeks ago for my acne, after I had tried strong antibiotics and salicylic acid in the past. I had large pimples on my face and back and often painful boils that lingered on for days. I'm delighted to say that my skin has cleared up completely- it's the first time I 've seen it like this in years!

I also read how turmeric cures allergies and hayfever and recommended it to my boyfriend and my housemate, who both suffer from hayfever. At first they didn't even want to hear about it, but now - guess what- they swear by it! It works for both of them and they've stopped taking their hayfever/ anti-histamine medicines.
It does taste horrible though and after trial and error, the three of us are using the following recipe:

1 teaspoon turmeric diluted in 2 teaspoons olive oil (or whatever oil you want) and some warm water. Mix well and top up the glass with any kind of fruit juice. Drink with a straw.

This recipe makes drinking it a lot easier; we tried water and warm milk but it just won't go down- do give this a try, it makes the taste bearable.

I drink this every morning before breakfast for my skin and it works wonders! I see that there's no need for me to take more, so I just don't. However, with hayfever it's a different story. The other two people drink as much as they need throughout the day; my boyfriend is usually ok with 1-2 glasses per day, but my housemate needs more.

I think you just have to experiment until you find out what dosage works best for your particular needs. It definitely works though! Thank you so much Earth Clinic!!!

My (non food related) allergies came on a couple years ago as a result of stress and poor eating, etc. They last all year long and would make me very tired, fatigued and congested/dizzy. I changed my diet and reduced dairy and wheat/gluten. There was a huge change in my digestion but not in my allergies.

I went to a new doctor (MD/DO) and asked for a natural method of combatting them. He told me to take Quercitin and Bromelain tablets once or twice a day on an empty stomach. I have been taking 2 of them, one in the morning and one at night and they have helped me TREMENDOUSLY with allergies. I can now walk around the block without feeling so sleepy when I come back. I blow my nose less often and haven't had a sinus infection this year. (Last year I had 2 or 3 for the first time in my life).

I've been on them for almost 4 months. They do take a little while to build up in your system I've read. Highly recommended!

I've been suffering from allergies for 12 years now. I finally went to a doctor this year to have the doctor take a look (I actually looked went to two docs). The tests they took showed I was allergic to almost every airborne allergen (95% of most airborne allergens, yikes!) I was seriously a running faucet and sneeze machine. I'd wake up sneezing, burn through toilet paper for wiping my nose. Basically, i was disgusting and I was completely bogged down for hay fever season. I started taking 3 shots of ACV a day. The first 10 days nothing and then all the sudden, on the 11th it was like a light switch. Everything stopped. I continued taking 3 shots a day for about a month and a half and am now down to 1 shot a day, which I am taking basically as a "just in case" shot. My allergies are completely eliminated. Not even a sniffle. I'm not sure how it works, but it 100% worked for me. Like a veil being lifted, a light turning on; it was a complete life change to be able to enjoy the seasons again :)

Ginger and Chamomile Tea
Posted by Kin (Auckland, New Zealand) on 02/05/2009

Hi EC, It was posted on EC originally as Ginger with Green Tea , under Ginger page (for example posted by Shira from Green Cove Springs, FL). Chamomile and Ginger Tea is my own modification, most likely the first post in EC. Hope that helps. Think it will help many if this can be listed under Hay Fever page, because the sinus congestions I got at different time of the year reacted to different remedies. Only Chamomile and Ginger Tea works for Hay Fever. Hope I am not creating too much work for you. I want to thank Earth Clinic from the bottom of my heart.

EC: Thanks for clarifying, Kin!

01/16/2008: Shira from Green Cove Springs, FL writes: "I want to shout this from the roof tops!

My husband has had terrible sinus congestion for months! Because it felt as though he had some sort of barrier in his left nostril, even his CPAP machine wasn't allowing him to breathe. Sleepless night... tons of money on meds... countless nosebleeds because of all of the nasal sprays... he was miserable and feeling a little desperate.

Then, as the last resort, I searched and came across your ginger root remedy. $2.00 for a huge ginger root that I peeled, cut into chunks and steeped for 4 hours in a pot of water with 2 green tea bags. Dan sipped on the surprisingly yummy tea all evening, and for the first time in MONTHS, he's completely clear! There wasn't a dramatic loss of mucus, but for whatever reason, I believe it shrunk the swollen nasal passages, and for the last 3 nights in a row, he's slept ALL night, clear as a bell! He didn't even snore! I can't even begin to tell you what a HUGE blessing this remendy is for us."

I work with a Japanese woman who told me that ginger root also helps digestive issues and menstral cramps. We've decided to make ginger root tea part of our daily routine. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!"

Ginger and Chamomile Tea

Ginger with Chamomile tea really really really works!!! It cured my Hay Fever.

Before Earth Clinic I had chronic sinusitis for over 6 years, I used 2 types of OTC nasal sprays every single day for 6 years. I was a very miserable person by then. Last Year I found Earth Clinic (lucky me) and started using ACV and was able to stop using the nasal sprays for a few days (a remarkable achievement I felt at that time). I then started oil pulling with sesame seed oil, something extraordinary happened; after 3 days of oil pulling, the symptom got worst, I had the worst sinus congestion ever, it felt like my body was going to give up. I had to resort using the nasal spray again..I was very disappointed but the next day my sinus was cleared, I continued OP and with the help of ACV I managed to stop my nasal sprays addiction completely -- I remembered vividly I visited a park after that and for the first time after 6 years I was able to breath freely and experienced the raw smell in the air.

Months passed and life without nasal sprays was indeed wonderful, (still got mild sinus congestion from time to time) doing OP daily helped me going through winter months, until beginning of this summer when all those big trees started flowering, I get very bad sinus congestion again. I had for weeks bad allergic and congestion, itching eyes with unpleasant discharges. Hay Fever ..I read Earth Clinic every possible cures ..I tried ACV, Turmeric, Olive leaves extracts, Castor oil pack, Garlic, snorting Cayenne pepper, Noti Pot ..none of them worked for me even Oil Pulling did not help. I started using nasal spray everyday again otherwise I could not sleep or do any activities, but the spray has actually worsened the congestion and the relief period got shorter .

I then read on latest posts about green tea and ginger root (I read Earth Clinic latest posts everyday), I didn't have green tea at home but I had chamomile tea bags. So I cut very thin slices of ginger (about 8 to 10 slices) in a cup with one chamomile tea bag, add water and micro waved it for a minute or two, and started snipping it that evening, added water reheated it in microwave again when it was not hot enough or empty ..it did not give immediate relief of course, but I realised that the pressure on the nasals eased a little. The next day I did the same. On 3rd day something miracle happened, it started to cleared that morning my sinuses.clearing steadily..eyes stopped itching and no unpleasant discharge. 36 hours on the ginger/ chamomile tea, I stopped using the nasal spray. It is now 25 days since I last used the spray and no signs of Hay Fever. 6 - 7 years of Hay Fever was gone, you can imagine how happy I am now. Yes I am still drinking yummy chamomile and ginger tea everyday.

A lady at work got bad hay fever, recommended her to try it, one dose (yes just one cup 7 days ago) cured her Hay Fever completely, 7 days since she has not got any symptoms. (Magic!! 2 yes posts for Earth Clinic)

I was once told by medical professional there was no cure for Hay Fever, now I believe there is always a cure for everything.

Before I started on the ginger / chamomile tea remedy, I was determined to go "cold turkey" on the nasal spray (Yes Nasal Sprays can be addictive). In order to get temporary relief, I microwave some ACV in a cup, inhaled the ACV steam, it immediately cleared the nose but as soon as I stopped, the nose was blocked again, but it at least provided temporary relief. I also tried chewing piece of ginger, but unfortunately it did not work for me. How strange a combination of ginger and chamomile tea can work miracle.

Caution -- first few days on the tea I had a mild detox experience, loose motion, rash, and headache.

Unexpected benefits -- clean and soft skin, hair seems to grow faster

To earth clinic -- ginger and chamomile tea remedy was not listed on any of the sinus/ allergic /congestion cures, but if search under ginger cure you will get lots of cured allergic postings, it is possible to add ginger/chamomile tea as one of the cure on the Allergic page? I could not and therefore would not be able to know about this cure until I read it on latest posting pages. just a suggestion and Thank You Earth Clinic and Thank You all those who put in their efforts posting their remedies and experience.

EC: We searched but could not find any other ginger and chamomile tea posts on the site! If you know where they are, please let us know and we'll cross post it to the allergy remedies page. Thank you!

I used to suffer from hayfever when I was studying in Perth, Western Australia 10yrs ago. At that time, I took Horseraddish supplement for 1 season and it helps stops hayfever. I moved to Singapore recently due to work and woke up with runny nose and unstoppable sneezing for at least 1 hr every day for the past 2 mths. Taking horseraddish supplement doesn't help anymore, maybe my body is immune to horseraddish supplemnt! I was researching the internet for Hay fever remedy and read that raw honey helps. While researching further for raw honey benefits, I stumbled into this site and read that ACV helps with hayfever and decided to give it a try. I found that any brand of ACV is equally effective. I put 1 teaspoon ACV, 2 teaspoons honey and 1 glass of water. Drink it 3 times a day for a week, it cures my hayfever!! No more sinus, sneezing or runny nose within a week! I continued to drink the mixture after my hayfever's symptom is gone thinking to use it my daily drink for health, but I found that drinking ACV when I didn't have anymore hayfever actually irritates my throat passage and caused whizzing cough. I stopped taking the drink. No more whizzing coughs, plus my hayfever has not returned since. I am so gladed that I found this site and would like to share how ACV cures my hayfever!

I vote "yea" for Turmeric as a cure for allergies:

I suffered from hayfever type allergies seemingly constantly since we moved to our new house in Jan of '07. During that summer, my symptoms were so severe I couldn't be outside for 5 minutes without having a severe hayfever attack. I took OTC meds daily but they were getting harder to buy as they all got moved behind the pharmacy counter, plus they took hours to start working.

I sought out earth clinic and wrote down my top 5 cures for allergies, thinking I would start trying them in the spring of '08. But in the Winter of '07 I rescued a rabbit that needed to eat hay twice a day. Of course I was allergic! I decided to try Turmeric as it was the cheapest remedy. I started taking 2 capsules a day (720 mg caps) in February '08. Within 5 days I noticed a great improvement. After a few months with this regime, I started noticing my allergies getting less severe and less frequent. After 4 months, my husband told me, "You don't have allergies anymore!"

Now, 7 full months later (and past pollen season), I am down to 1 capsule per day as maintenance, and take an extra one if I have congestion. I am so thankful for this simple cure! The world is open to me again: I can go outside without bringing a snot rag. I can brush my cats daily with no symptoms. I can clean the cat litter without having a reaction to the dust. I can feed my rabbit and not suffer. I was able to bring my feather bed back out of storage and use it with confidence cause I'm not allergic to it anymore! I do still have problems with mold when it rains, but just clogged sinuses not the severe reaction I used to get. An extra turmeric capsule and I'm fine. Gotta love it!

The Acid-Alkaline Diet for Optimum Health allowed me to stop taking all prescription allergy meds after only 3 days. (Allegra, sudafed, eye drops, etc.) Symptoms still remained but are diminishing significantly, the more I follow the ph-ion.com program to get well. After 30 years of allergiest/ENTs/surgeries/shots and drugs I am amazed that "hay fever" is diet/digestion related! Never did a doctor imply there could be a food link, especially since shots seemed to help. This diet is the only direct link I've found to cure my allergies.. so test your ph and give it a try if indicated. Amazing.

Quercetin complex with bromelaine stopped an allergy attack dead in its tracks. After spending four hours sitting in a friend's garden, I succumbed to a really bad allergy attack - blocked sinuses, teary and mucousy eyes, and hot, prickly blood shot eyes, along with a thumping sinus headache. I took two quercetin complex tablets (also containing bromelaine) and within 15 minutes, my sinuses had cleared, the post nasal drip had stopped, and I could generally breathe! It took a while for the eyes to dry up - perhaps a few hours but ultimately it has stopped. I am continuing to take 2 capsules in the morning with breakfast for the next few days to keep things under control, but am confident that I can now control the summer hay fever.
