True. I tried blackstrap molasses holistically but it didn't work.

I'm 34 years old asian female with rapidly greying hair that was brought on by emotional stress. My grey hairs are all over the top and sides of my head; I'm about 10-20% grey now. It's not common for my ethnicity to grey so early and rapidly. Ive tried BSM 1 tbsp everyday and so far it's been 5 months with no improvement with my hair. The BSM I take clearly contains copper and other minerals. On top of that, I take b vitamin complex a few times a week, B12 daily, 2000IU of vitamin D (I'm deficient), and Maltofer iron syrup a few times a week (for my low ferratin).

What should I do? Should I switch to taking 2mg copper pills instead? I thought that a food supplement like BSM might be more bioavailable and hard to overdose. Should I add vitamin C to my regime?

Hi,

I started to go grey in my head when I was 20-22, now at 29 I have many greys. What's bothering is that about 1-2 years back I started to get grey in my beard too. I do regular exercise and have a decent diet.

2 months back I started taking blackstrap molasses, multi-vitimains, c etc don't notice anything as such.

Please tell me if anyone had success with reversing grey hair. Tell me your personal stories or the ones you've seen not the ones you've read online. Appreciate responses.

Today is the 7th week I've been taking 2 tbsp of Blackstrap Molasses every morning for my gray hair. I have black hair and I've had gray hair since in my 30's. And I don't see any change of my hair color from the roots. I had high hopes because I am extremely allergic to Permanent hair dye. It makes my scalp swell up & itches like crazy & I been using temp hair dye but the color fades fast. I was hoping to at least get a slight darker change of my gray. But no results here. I will keep taking it for couple of months longer. I'm not giving up that easy LOL!

Hi! I have been on BSM for over 3 months now and still no change in the colour of my hair. Is there a certain minimum quantity that I must take. I am currently taking 1 spoon with warm water first thing in the morning.

Should I increase the intake? or should I take it along with something else instead of plain water?

I really need help.

Hi, I'm 33 with a lot amount of grey hair. I have been trying for 5 months sort out this issue mixing a glass of milk with 1 tablespoon of molasses every day and didn't work. Should I mixed it with other liquid, soy milk rather than normal one or any juice??? Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance.

I have been taking 1 Tablespoon BSM in my morning tea for three months. I wish I had taken pictures before I started because I am not sure if I am seeing any results or not. I know that I am not getting more gray. And around my face there may be a greater percentage of brown but the crown is still quite gray and the bottom line is still must color my hair as often. I shall continue but wish I had greater progress to report.

WARNING!

NAY, this is not my experience nor what I have researched. When I tried blackstrap molasses, my sugar went out the roof for several weeks. My doctor told me that iron can mess you up big time. It took awhile to get my glucose back reasonable.

I caution any diabetic about using blackstrap molasses.

EC: Thanks, Robert! This thread has just been cross-posted to the diabetes page.

HI. I agree with you Frances. I have almost given up BSM after taking it consistently for 7 months with no improvement at all.

Sarah, please advise.

Hi Sarah!

Sorry to bother you! You are getting a lot of questions here (presumambly because you seem to have found a solution to grey hair!) I have been taking blackstrap molasses for 9 months now. I am 30 years old and am about 40% gray and the blackstrap molasses is not helping! I am losing the will to live with all this grey hair (not literally though!) Can you tell me exactly what brand of blackstrap you are using? I not that people on this site mention that copper is needed to turn the hair to it's natuaral colour and I also note that the blackstrap molasses I have makes no mention of copper. Perhaps this is the issue ...

Frances x

I'm on day 29 of the molasses and my hair seems whiter in the front, I've even added b-12 and copper to my diet. I'll write again on day 60. I have lots of energy but still grey.

I am a man in my twenties suffering from premature graying hair. Ninety percent of my scalp hair are gray hairs. I have been taking Blackstrap Molasses for the last two months and don't see any results for the gray hair. Maybe it's due to the brand of the Blackstrap Molasses which I have took. Could anybody out there who have taken Blackstrap Molasses and their hair color has reversed back to their original/previous hair color could be kind and considerate and do write or tell me what type of Blackstrap Molasses brand which has reversed back your hair color. I would be really happy and glad to know the brand. Thank You & May God Bless You

I have to agree with Dan and S. about the Black Strap remedy for gray hair. I tried one tablespoon daily, then two tablespoons for 6 months now and I do not see any change! For those of you who have had success, did it work soon, or did you have to stick with it for a long time to see results? I am becoming frustrated with the process and I'm considering abandoning it, but I would love some feedback from those of you who have found success with it.
