Hi. My eye used to twitch maybe once every few weeks/months but not enough to be a bother. Then a few months ago I noticed it started twitching every few minutes and would not stop. This went on for about two weeks. I looked up causes for it and read that stress could cause it. Honestly, I did not have much money so I was looking for a low-costing remedy. I started "worrying less". When my kids started to be a bit much, I would go in the other room. I focused more on thoughts that made me happy. I attend school online. I took two days to catch up and get ahead on my school work. I even took a day off from work while the kids were in school. I was careful not too stay up too late (12am). I'm not exactly sure which day the twitch went away. All I know is that my twitch was so bad that everyone, even kids, that talked to me noticed it. After about 1-2 weeks my friends and family were like, hey, your eye isn't jumping!

Eye twitch
Several years ago I developed an eye twitch after my grandfather died. I had been unable to attend the funeral as it was overseas, but I also refused to cry, or view photos or video of the funeral, so as to not have to deal with the grief. Then when I decided to look at the photos and video, and have a good cry, the twitching stopped immediately and for good. I realized the twitching was due to the stress of suppressed grief.

My sister also gets eye twitches after sleep deprivation.
