Apple Cider Vinegar and Salt

Like so many others on here, I have suffered with the dreaded mites for months. I picked them up from a yoga retreat in India. we had mini bean bags to place over our eyes in a meditation session and I felt hundreds of tiny beings descend from the bean bags and invade my face. After looking up and trying remedy after remedy, I found a solution on here - I can't remember who it was but thank you so much!! I sprayed a solution of apple cider vinegar, water and salt on my hair, myself, my bedding, carpets and my cats and I went to bed - with nothing crawling on me. Every time I feel a wriggle I spray it and it stops immediately. I can't give you the doses as I just poured - it was approximately 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water and about 3-4 tablespoons of salt. So extremely effective and easy, and an easy, non-toxic and quick way to treat your whole environment, including your mattress. I hope this helps you.

I have bird-mite invasion. every day after I finish using my car, I spray it thoroughally with a solution of 3 cups warm water and 2 level Tablespoons of old fashioned Chlorox bleach. Do not forget the trunk. Close the car and it is usually OK for the next day.

I have had bird/rat mites for 3 mos. I couldn't get them out of my car and now my new apt. has them. Pest Control refused to fog my car. I wanted to use a Raid cypermethrin fogger, but the directions say not to put it in any space less than 5 x 5 ft. How did you fog your car? I am desperate. My car keeps reinfecting me.

I read an article that says I have to re-fog after 7-10 days to kill the newly hatched bird mites.

Hi Rita,

I know what you're going through and its not easy.

Firstly, DON'T use foggers in your car... (or anywhwere else) they are highly destructive to the plastic lens over your gauges and other plastic parts and components like electrical contacts to make your windows go up and down ext. They are mostly in-effective anyway. I have eliminated them from my vehicle but it isn't easy.
]
Step 1) Get an ozone machine and run it in your car. The Ozone machine breaks the oxygen into 2 -3 parts changing it into ozone which the mites can't breath. This will suffocate them. You must repeat this several times a day because they run for 2 hours on a timer. You must repeat this for several weeks to defeat the life cycle as they have laid many eggs in the fabric of the seats under the seats in the dashboard ext. I bought my ozone machine air cleaner on amazon for 75.00 it was on sale. I would have paid more it was well worth it. But this alone is not sufficient. I also took the bathwater with the Epson salt and borax mixture after I was done with it and after I soaked my used sheets and bedding in it. I put it in a spray bottle after adding sea salt to the mixture. I spray the flooring of the car and if you have fabric seats you can spray them as well. The salt will dry and be noticeable but you can then vacuum it up with a vacuum cleaner.

Step 2)I replaced all carpet in my home with tile. Remove any fabric furniture from your home and clean it. It can be cleaned with the ozone cleaner along with any other infested items such as computers or tv sets. I use my shed out behind the house and I clean 1 item at a time because I find that most effective. You can clean items like shoes and other apparel in much the same way. If you don't have a shed you can rent a small storage unit that they drop off at your house but it must be airtight. I've placed small items in my car like a laptop computer and keypad while the ozone cleaner was cleaning my car it cleans these items as well. Don't expose yourself or breath the ozone is harmful to your lungs and can suffocate you as well. Be careful to leave the area once the ozone machine is running.

Step 3) Don't use poison internally or externally on your skin. It may cause damage that may be irreversible. For the the most part poisons are ineffective anyway. I have found that SEA SALT is highly effective in killing mites and mixed with Borax will create and alkaline environment that mites cannot live in. Salt by itself is hard to apply to the skin. So is borax so I make a highly concentrated mixture of salt, Borax, Peroxide and enough water to dissolve it. Mites burrow deep into the layers of skin and just surface application may not reach all the mites and if any survive the application they will return. I use steam to open my pores before applying the mixture. I boil water in a large pot over the stove and steam my hands, arms, ext...CAUTION: This method is very dangerous because you risk spilling scalding hot water on yourself. BUT...it is highly effective in opening the pores and allowing the salt mixture to penetrate deeply to where the mites are hiding. In place of steam you can apply DMSO 99% prior to applying the salt mixture. DMSO is a deep skin cleanser and will help drive the mixture deep into the skin where mites are living and laying eggs.
I also make a mixture of sea salt, tea tree oil and coconut oil and keep it in a mason jar for spot cleaning or I can carry the mason jar with me on outings. If I get a breakout (eggs hatching) while away from home I can get relief by applying the oily salt and rubbing it into my skin.

I hope you find these methods are effective and that you find relief from this scourge.

Please keep in touch and share your experience.
I hope wish you peace,

Ralph

The Pest control guy was fresh out of answers after several attempts. I finally ran up on a site in which someone tried Cedarcide fogging and it worked for her. Thats what I have been doing since July and it does work BUT my job and car keeps the reinfestation going. I sit at my cubicle at work and within 30 minutes they are all over me. I finally opened up my month and put in a workorder to spray around my area - but we both know this was not going to work. Ive tried DE for the floors and kept gleen green on hand. Now I'm sitting elsewhere temporary but I know my boss is going to ask me to come back to my desk. Please understand that I refrained from telling her or people at my job that I was the one that brought the bugs (this is shameful enough). No one to my knowledge have been infected at work, but when they came to spray, a couple of ladies felt biting; it lasted for a day...it's me the bugs really want!
> Would you please provide suggestions on what to do to kill the mites from my vehicle and job? For my vehicle I have fogged, pesticides sprays, and sifting DE on the carpets. I've sprayed 90% Alcohol but this seems to really agitate them and start biting. I am currently looking for another job. I cant remain there. So any assistance regarding my vehicle would be very helpful :)

I thought Ted suggested first spray body with hydrogen peroxide spray and then get in hot bath with borax . I would just close eyes and emerge whole body and use a snorkel to breath and keep a towel close by when you emerge you want a dry your eyes . I think SALT is the key so I would add sea salt to the bath it dehydrates the mites . I would also would buy a big bag of sea salt dehydration is the key first you must draw them out I think Michael is on to something with his salt sheets and clothes no place for them to make a bed and breed.

Find, identify the type of mite. A mite needs a host to survive. The life cycle question is crucial. You could bag your clothes and put everything in the garage shut the door and don't open it for weeks and you may even fumigate it to be on the safe side just park your car in the driveway. Of course you have to treat your body daily to get kill this thing

Most mites are not visible to the eye usually measure1/8" or less in length. Human scabies mites cannot survive off a host for more than about 24 hours. Therefore, insecticide foggers and sprays to furniture, carpeting or other areas is waste of time. Take a 2 or 3 day vacation or camp outside a get one of those cool blowup hot tubs and put sea salt and borax in it and you have instant hot bubbling sea salt hot tub to jump into. Again, hydrogen spray draws them out and salt/ borax finishes them off .

There are scabies mites, dust and paper mites, clover bird mites this includes chicken mites, straw mites ( in hay, dried grass stored peas and beans), Chigger ( red in color) and I assume mites that we have not discovered yet

Ask doctor for a demodex scraping if he refuses get another doctor or see a dermatologist
.
Permethrin Cream - kills demodex face mites. (also kills scabies, lice, ) good for those with pustules/acne; Getting on Metrogel helps it an antifungal and antibiotic; reduces the demodex mite population on the skin.

If they are returning it could be that there's a nest somewhere. Locate the nest then repeat the treatment using ACV and cleaning your entire home. Wash every material you own and what you can't wash put in a plastic bag for three weeks I left it for a couple months, repeat until they're are gone.

Hi, I too have tried multiple products, to rid myself of mites! I have at least 2 species of mites (bird mites and possible scabies)! My question for you is about your reference to "bombing your cars 7 times". First, question is when you say "bombing" are you referring to a fogger? Also, if you fogged, what brand of fogger did you use? And finally you mentioned finding a cure for yourself and your dogs, but "how" did you finally rid your vehicle? (I live in my van, and it is highly infested, and even if I clear my body per oils, creams, etc, I still must eradicate the van) Thanks! -sunnie

One thing that I found that appears to kill them faster in the house (and car) is to use diluted ammonia. Use a mask and googles. They will tend to hide under things - under chairs and under dressers, etc. so you can spray the ceilings but when you move a chair, they will come out from under the bottom. Spray under the seats and in the trunk of the car as well as the ceilings. This worked quickly for us but we also improved our immune system - green veggies, vitamins, no sugar, garlic, and exercise. You can also take probiotic pills and follow a candida (yeast free) diet because they like yeast (fungus/sugar). You will notice a big difference when your immune system gets in order. I also added original Dawn dish liquid and sea salt to bath water so whichever ones fell in the tub, they were killed also. Safeguard soap has triclosan in it and it works also, but we used it when our journey with this was almost over so if you still have it badly, you might want to stick to the peppermint soap.

How to make a sane woman crazy? -- THE MITES. These creatures have ruined my life and doctors think I need a psychological work-up despite the bites and scratches on my legs and arms; despite the fact that my toes and tongue are numb from all the biting. I've moved into a hotel, sent my kid to friends, and this is costing me a fortune. I have a kid to put through college! I want my house and life back. But, this is so hard. I feel like a leper and can't do anything with friends. I love entertaining and can't invite anyone to my house. Pest control companies and their sprays have NOT worked. Trying to find a company that uses Vykane gas, but have not been to do that.

Kleen Green works for me. But, I only feel good when I'm in the tub. When the water goes down the drain what's left in the tub are tiny black mites. Tried Vicks vap-rub tonight. It seems to help a bit. Will try the garlic and know that I need to make my body more alkaline. Thanks for the information

You need to call your doctor tell him you need selenium sulfide shampoo 2.25 percent prescription use it for 7 days all over your body hair two let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse it off. After the 7th Day, shampoo twice a week until they're gone. Do not drink any alcohol has something to do with dehydration of your body you can have a beer if if you drink it but no alcohol liquor. I finally found a cure for mite infestations, selenium sulfide shampoo. You do it every day for 7 days straight, then twice a week until you stop feeling them. No drinking alcohol because it will bring them right back your body is dehydrated all the nerve endings and it attracts the mites to your body so if you shampoo like I said 7 straight days and then twice a week after that it will start to clear up meanwhile you need to clean your house used to premethrim spray leave the house that's what I do I leave the house for the whole day after I spray everything outside sidewalks your car you have to heat it up to at least a hundred fifty degrees.i used a electric grill put it inside the car when the extension cord out in the sun put a thermometer in there to check the temperature get it up to at least a hundred and thirty forty fifty degrees. The car is the hardest thing to get rid of them.

The apple cider vinegar, gives me a "flush" as well! It is because AVC is highly acidic. I too have Candida Albicans, and it takes awhile of constant use for a "reaction" to happen. At least one that you would notice. I personally, have just ordered DE. Diatomaceous earth. I will use this both externally for bird mites, and internally, for the candida! DE breaks down the "exoskeleton" of these parasites, and then immediately dehydrated them!!! Here's to hoping! -Sunnie

This is an update to my previous post of more than 1 year ago see above.

Linda P. emailed me personally and asked for an update. Here is my response. Her email is below that.

Dear Linda,

Thank you for your e-mail,

You've knocked on the right door because I've learned quite a bit in the last year and a half/ 2 years that I've been dealing with these Nano insects.

I can offer you some critical information that has cost me several thousand dollars in pesticides, Dermatologists, remedies and on and on to learn.

I have had desperate times when I was covered over 25% of my body in bites to the point where I was embarrassed to go out in public.

Don't waste your time and money on Doctor's or pesticides as they offer only short term remedies that don't take into account that you will be re-exposed just by living in your home that is infested.

Originally I was given –permethrin 5% crème by my primary care doctor and it worked but after being re-exposed they returned because there is a very short reproductive life cycle 3-4 days. but the other issue that this crème is a poison and can be toxic if applied to often. The next step was the dermatologist that gave me 4 pills to take all at once called Ivermectin which also worked for as long as it was in my system but again short lived. Keep in mind the life cycle is very quick so one mite left alive on your skin can produce 400 mites in just 4 days. They are relentless and so must you be.

I've found that natural safe non-poisonous remedies work the best …I still have a mild infestation in my home and my skin remains clear. I do get bit whenever I'm home but I know how to get them out of my skin now.

There are many types of mites and they vary depending on which region of the country you live in. I found however that the truth is they are all microscopic about the size of germs or bacteria. Rather than trying to identify the specific mite your dealing with I just call them Nano Insects as they all respond to the same treatment. They are sensitive to their environment and when we change their environment to alkaline they die. Like bacteria they also cannot live in the presence of salt.

To get them out of your skin (they borrow into your skin like moles):

I use 1 cup of Borax detergent booster that you use for your laundry and 1 cup of Epson salt added to a hot bath. The bath should be as hot as you can stand it because it is important to expand the opening of your pores so that the salt and Borax can reach them. The Borax will turn the bathwater alkaline which will weaken them and the salt will kill them. I bath in this solution nightly for thirty minutes. I try to submerge as much of my body as possible.

After bathing if I notice any runs left by mites trying to escape the area …I apply DMSO 90%. This is a deep cleansing agent that helps whatever you use on your skin penetrate deeply through several layers of skin to where mites are living very effective. Can be found cheap on most websites that deal with livestock remedies/feed stores.

If you are dealing with eyelash mites and or ear mites they burrow into eyebrows, eyelashes, nostrils, ears and lips and attack you in your sleep. I use a multi-salt remedy. You can use sea salt or I like Dr. Teals Lavender Epson salt applied directly to the skin after steaming my face over a boiling pot of water to open the pores. This method can also work on different parts of the body but is dangerous because you run the risk of spilling the boiling water on yourself.

There is a preparation that I stumbled upon. It is a combination of different sea salts from around the globe in coconut oil that I've found most effective. It's not cheap but compared to other remedies it is cheap as I've been using the same bottle I purchased for $25.00 for several months now. It's called “Isle of Luxe” can be found at- www.isleofluxe.com It leaves your skin smooth and clear. Also works better if steam is used to open the pores so that it can reach the critters.

I hope some of these suggestions help you and if you need some suggestions of how to rid the critters from your domicile or vehicle let me know…I have some ideas or call me at [email protected] I was also born in 1951 (: Good luck Linda (:

From: Missylinda51 Sent: Monday, June 27,2016 11:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Mite Infestation

A year ago you wrote a blog on earthclinic.com about curing yourself and your home of a mite infestation.

I am writing to find out how things are going a year later. Are you still mite free?

I've been fighting what I believe are mites for 10 months. The worst problem I have is the feeling that something microscopic is crawling all over my legs, scalp, ears, eyes, mouth and legs. They are worse at night but bother me both day and night.

Your suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Unfortunately your jumping flea is a mite called Cheylietella. I've fought these pests since 2010 and finally found a white speck in pc that moved so ran to the States Chief entomologist and he diagnosed it as the Cheylietella mite. To make things worse for you, you inject these things day and night, they get in your blood stream, THEN THEY CAN BECOME WORMS. so you need to start cleaning your gut as well as house, you, pets, hubby if you have one. The latest parasite discovered in 2013 is called Rope Worm, it is still so new that even the doctors who will treat you probably don't know about them but they are there. 2nd stage you will see clear bubbles in your stools, they expel the bubble to move about in your intestines. My best remedy so far is spraying day and nite with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, using it full strength. in my town, Walmarts can't keep HP instock and then we go for almost a week before they can restock plus the same thing with 70% rubbing alcohol. That is the other thing I spray with a lot. A medical school has proven that in killing mites it takes 4 minutes for rubbing alcohol to kill them and 15 minutes for Tea Tree Oil to kill'em. I spray my body with HP before I get in the shower, let it set 5 or so minutes, shower, spray again and if these fool things are embedded in your skin the HP will sting a few minutes and when it drys up yu will feel these tiny things that have popped out of your skin and hanging on your skin. They also don't like Oregano Oil so I mix it with Peppermint oil and water and spray with that but my best results is still HP. I have even had a heart attack plus stent which the doctors told me that I should not have had a heart attack, they didn't come out and say mites are in your blood stream but said "something showed up we don't see very often" I use to be an RN so they knew what they were saying I would pick up on. I've contacted the Senators, Congress people and they all have told me to go to the Health Dept. The Health Dept hung up on me when I mentioned "mites". We have one certified Horticulturist in our town and he says this place is working alive with all kinds of mites and bed bugs. The pest people won't even come out if you mention mites. Hope my saga helps a few and wish you the very best. I'm 89 and I'll be damn if I let these things kill me, they're trying real hard but it ain't going to happen. Also, put your faith in God and let's all do a lot of praying. lol

Biting and Crawling Mites
Posted by Kathyk (Thousand Oaks) on 06/19/2016

Hi - I've had the mites for years. I just identified it after 10 years as I saw them, somehow miraculously, crawling out of my computer one day. Had it identified as the Cheyletiella mite. If you have pets, go online and do the full protocol with a pet dermotologist for getting rid of these mites. And then go get your self the cedar oil. It's a friggin miracle. To start getting relief immediately, get Revolution and put it on your pets every two weeks. But you will need to do more than that to get rid of the problem, if you have pets. So that's why I recommend going to a pet dermotologist about it. If you don't have pets, then go immediately to get the cedar oil online. It's expensive, but totally worth it and worth the time, aggrevation and money you will spend on a whole host of other treatments that don't work. Trust me because I've been at it for years. I finally moved out from the house with pets about 4 weeks ago and the mites followed me. Just got the cedar two days ago and it has been working wonders so far... I can't even believe it. Please.. don't waste your money on all the other crap. Go get this cedar oil stuff and use Revolution and your nightmare will be over.. if it is indeed the Cheyletiella mite. Please don't be discouraged by what you read online about these mites. Your experience is probably 10 times worse than what is online about a human experience. My bug expert said the stuff online is only general information. So it is probably the Cheyletiella mite that is harrassing you. Good luck and stay strong.

I have been doing it for about 2 1/2 weeks and my life is so much better. I still have problems with my scalp, but it is nothing like it used to be. I do not do my hair in the tub, I learned the hard way not to do that as it spreads to the rest of the body. If I could get the scalp under control I think I could beat it as my body is almost normal. It seems to move from my scalp while I sleep. You may be leery of using one whole gallon, but my skin is so soft now. It hasn't been like this for years.

Also, I get my vinegar from Sam's Club as it is only 4 dollars for 2 gallons. I keep a spray bottle with 50/50 vinegar and water whenever I feel something. Just spray the affected area.

I hope this helps you also. Carolyn from Kansas

Hi Pam,

I actually have a pan of it in my bathroom right now and yes I would step in it before I went to bed, after applying it to my legs. The mustard/water/dove body wash each day in private parts helped and the spray I talked about I used it there too. Try a little first to make sure it doesn't burn. Also soak the tub with the Peroxide/Epsom Salt/Borax treatment above. It took care of them for quite awhile to get some rest from them.

You have to do the mustard everyday, you have to kill the new ones as they emerge. It will take awhile to get thru all the cycles and then keep doing it for 6 weeks after you think they are gone.

You can beat these horrid mites. Get your immune system up, eat well, no sugar and exercise will all help.

God Bless, Debbie

Did you put the DE on your feet also or just your legs and what did you do about your private parts? The night time around 4 am is the worst, what did you do for that? I'm about ready to jump off a bridge, can't seem to get a handle on this.

KT, What you have is probably not morgellons but skin tags. Non bleeding dark colored fibers come out by the hundreds if not thousands in morgellons patients. Often the bathtub becomes filled with tiny particles resembling sand in the bottom of bathtub plus many more work out after toweling off .

Skin tags which are due to virus such as HPV are slow growing but well vascularised they bleed like crazy when disturbed or cut off

Acv seems to work ok for them.

I had two fiber-like protrusions coming out of the top of one thigh and at a later time, one on the back of my arm between my elbow and shoulder. I scratched/pinched them off and they bled profusely for such tiny "nicks". I don't know if they were morgellons or not but thought I would mention this. Because our food has changed, I have had to change the way I eat so I cannot give an accurate report of how I was eating or what I was eating at the time of those discoveries. I also found two small areas on my mid-section that appeared to resemble clogged pores but did not heal after squeezing several times, like a blemish would.

I started to eat more yellow onions and garlic. I take ACV everyday. I put ginger, turmeric, garlic and cayenne on just about everything I eat and/or make teas. I also take tincture of Black Walnut. I don't know if it is the combination of all or any one that must have killed those "things" or prevented anymore from erupting. I previously had four "raised" areas, two on my neck, one on my shoulder and one on my shin removed in my PCP's office. They were removed years ago before the protrusions appeared. When those "raised" areas erupted, we were drinking whole milk that was not homogenized from free range dairy cows. I experienced neck and facial clogged pores that appeared to be tiny cysts. I called the dairy to see if they were feeding the cows corn. I was told they did. We then tried the homogenized whole but there was no change in my complexion. That's when my trial of switching to 2% milk proved beneficial because the "cysts" went away.

I no longer eat raw fruits/vegetables. My personal opinion is, since everything has been genetically modified in one way or another, assimilation is difficult. On a video done in the early 90's it was reported that our food has been engineered to last longer. This film started out by reporting that our food had been changing for over fifty years. I am alleging GMO's cannot be avoided just due to wind and bird droppings.

My husband and I found the free range, grass-fed animals we eat or get milk and eggs from was causing us more indigestion, constipation, kidney/bladder pain and incontinence. My husband was in so much pain, he told me not to buy anymore of that meat. Organics caused problems with yeast. We only tried eating free range and organic for several months. It was fortunate we discovered what was happening to us because that food was so expensive I was borrowing money from our CU to pay for it.

I think it's been over three years since we tried eating free range and organic but returned to what is more affordable. This is what happened to us.

What you seem to be describing is not a mite infestation but another disease called morgellons.

Mites dont crawl under your skin quite like you describe, they dont take 5 years to kill off and doxycycline would not be given for mites anyway.

Now on the other hand the classic signature of morgellons is a feeling like mites are burrowing through your skin living in your body constantly itching you unrelenting misery.

These things that protrude from your skin in morgellons are not living creatures, they are nano materials that self assemble in your body.

Our atmosphere is full of contaminants like this. Hmmm what is that white stuff up in the sky?

If it is possible have a skin sample done checking for agrobacteria.

The process of transforming natural crops into genetically modified crops uses a specific type of bacteria farmers call agro bacteria. This bacteria has an ability to snip dna fragments from plant and animal species and link them together in ways nature never intended

This is a common occurance in those who develop morgellons to have wierd freakish things come out of their skin.

The "mites" that are moving around coming through the skin of morgellons patients are not living things.

The fibers we will call them are often different colors. Blue is a common color.

The fbi forensic laboratory has a database of over 100,000 fiber types and extremely sophisticated analytical equipment. When they were asked to identify the fibers from a morgellons patient they could not find a match for some of them

Others with morgellons have found some but not all of the fibers could be identified as cellulose a plant fiber growing from a human body. Scientists think this could only occur after agro bacteria splices plant genetic material into the human body

Kinda makes a statement about the "safety" of gmo foods huh?. Those who develop morgellons often try countless external medications trying to control an internal problem.

Those who use electro medical devices usually find the most relief in the quickest time.

You are not crazy, the world is crazy and doctors can not help you with this one. Turn to others who have been battling morgellons for advice. The most competent doctor would be a highly educated lyme literate alt.

Many of the protocols for dealing with lyme should be used for morgellons as well since most people who are suffering are multi infected with a wide variety of organisms requiring a wide range of treatments to deal with the peculiarities of each one.

Google morgellons/ pulsed magnetic energy.tHis seems to be what most people are getting best results with.

Another thing that helps immensely is eboo extra corporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation.. This technique is illegal in the usa. Look for it off shore or mexico

Your chances of recovery depend on study study and more study.

Wish I could be of more help, look up my posts on lyme disease.

See ya.

Thank you for the overview on your situation. I am currently taking Doxycycline. I've been suffering with the issue for almost five years. Often feel close to ending my life. You hit the nail on the head when you said you feel normal, again. I honestly can't remember how it felt to be well. I swear, I will never take my health for granted, again.

I need to be well. I am young, smart, educated, etc. Except, I think I am going crazy. I am so emotionally isolated with this condition. I can't really let anyone close to me physically or otherwise. I don't have furniture. Wash the same clothes over and over. It like the parasites have sucked all of the joy from my life.

I will check out the website you suggested. In the meantime, please check out the petition targeted at the C.D.C. to recognize that this is a real issue. We can't all be nuts.

P.S. I have to literally beg and not go to the same doctor when I need antibiotics. Do you mind if I ask you how you were able to get your medication? Thank you.

Hello, I have been doing tons of research on mites that cats get that transfer to humans. I had found its the cheyletiella mite. It's horrible. I had raked the yard a few weeks ago & shortly after all the sudden started getting bug bites out of no where.you feel like pin poke your skin from inside& bite. Feels like crawling on your skin& jumping around of something you can't see. Also like hairs dragging across your skin lightly. I had itched them so bad I have them all over. I tried everything vinegar, lemon juice, bug spray, disinfectant spray on me, bleach spray, borax, arm & hammer unscented dry soap, baking soda& cleaning everything& washing & vacuuming our throw down rugs, we have tile floors. I just bought Revolution flea meds for all 3 of our cats a few days ago I heard it is the best.

Our cats had the walking dandruff& one keeps pulling his hairs out& one had tons of dandruff my daughter cut her hair in all our cats dandruff area. I had washed them with the borax mixture day before I got Revolution. I spray Lysol everywhere & Sprayed beds& sprinkled arm& hammer soap on beds& in pillow cases & places Around the house. We got the 5% permethrin cream still no luck yet. I had even used nixed before as well all over.

When I was in the shower I saw I had a little left of arm & hammer toothpaste so put that all over me in shower helped relieved it some then put Vicks all over me after shower. Gonna keep using the arm & hammer toothpaste everyday buying more & gonna buy regular listerine to spray on me & around house as well I heard its good on mites. I had even used the queen Helene mud mask it helped some. I ordered some cedar oil essence from swansons vitamins to spray around house & on me cuz mite hate it & will close the pores they breath in. I had one little bottle but used it so fast also used a lot of 100% tea tree oil I bought from heb here in Texas for 4.99 a bottle but didn't help much.cedar oil suppose to be the best tho. Also any sprays with permithren& Lysol spray everywhere walls ceilings vents you name it. I keep praying & praying for it to be gone & for everyone who has battled this & is & any kind of bug.

My heart goes out to you all. This is worse than fleas could ever be. I have been spraying all in our car as well bug spray & Lysol cuz they have been in there too. I have MS & peripheral neuropathy & it's made it hard for me to walk sometimes & I feel sick like a flu. I need to change my diet too cuz I eat too much sugar & need to drink more water. God bless you all in this battle

I got what I think is demodex mites. It took me 9 months to get rid of them but would have been much shorter if I had done what got rid of them for me earlier. I tried tea tree oil, neem oil, ivermectrin the list goes on and on. Here is what did it.

I used dry mustard (bought in large container from amazon) in my shampoo and body wash every day. You have to figure out how much you can do without burning. I started with a 1/2 teaspoon and worked up to 1 teaspoon, mix with 1 tsp of cold water and the shampoo. Mix it up and apply and leave on for 5 minutes. Keep away from eyes. Then I would do the same and add Dove's body soap, mix it and turn off the shower and apply all over my body and let it sit for 5 minutes. (my face couldn't handle mustard, burned) If it burns anywhere, rinse it off immediatly and use less in that area next time. Then rinse it off. I also used diatomaceous earth on my legs every night, just rubbed it in. Sometimes I had to get up when it was real bad and rub it in 2 or 3 times but always got them to quiet down so I could sleep.

When the infestation was at its worst, I took a bath with a cup of borax, cup of epsom salts and 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide. It gave me instant relief. I would lay on my side and put 1/2 my face in the water (to my nose so I could breathe, keep eyes closed) for a few minutes turn over and do the other side.

I kept a bottle of 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1 cup apple cider vinegar and mix 1-2 tbls of borax in it until the borax wouldn't dissolve anymore. I kept it in a colored glass spray bottle by my side and when I felt them moving on me, I sprayed and it stopped. Don't know how many it killed but it gave me relief from them crawling around on me and biting.

What I learned is get your immune system up, that is the number one best defense against these mites. I let my health go down and was depressed and that opened the door for them to breed unchecked.

I did the laundry thing, washed sheets every night in hot water and borax, wore clothes once and washed in same. Not sure if this made a difference. I still only use sheets for 3 days and wash, I guess afraid they will come back. My 17 year old son never got them, I didn't let him use my towels and washed his clothes separately. kept blankets on couch and washed them often.

It is hell but you can overcome it. I was there thinking my life was ruined, not wanting to be around people. Oh and did the doctor thing too, they don't have a clue. It was awful but you can get thru this.

God Bless and be with you, Debbie

Hey guys, New to the forum, but was searching because I somehow caught mites. I had used just about everything y'all had mentioned then tried Hibiclens. When I tried it on small patches of my body, I used a white piece of t-shirt so I could see If any came of me. I did this in several spots including the area of the lady parts, and all told, probably about a 100 came off me. Going to get a big bottle more. And I will add it to the washer and thinking about using it on my floors.

Would like to mention that Diatomaceous Earth is what allowed me to sleep again. I rub it into scalp with fingertips and apply to body with duster (don't breathe while applying to avoid getting into lungs) under my pajamas. This keeps the Demodex mites from running about on your body and waking you up at night. I rub it into face also before bed (if I forget I remember as soon as I turn the light off because they become active immediately- though some nights are worse than others). Hope this helps someone because it sure has saved me...

For the mustard treatment, I used equal parts dry mustard and water. Make a smooth paste and wait for 10 minutes. You can mix it with body wash and with shampoo (maybe equal parts of mustard mix with other wash/shampoo/lotion etc). In the beginning, I mixed it with the wash/shampoo etc, but later, I mixed it with a little coconut oil and "oiled" my scalp and my feet. It appeared to stop the crawling/biting etc in my feet quickly but the scalp took a little longer. It does work and I got the information from this website.

For the mites on my face I use a thick gob of Vaseline with some camphur and tea tree oil. Slather this on thick I think it suffocates them. I put a thick gob of plain Vaseline in the corner of my eye and within 20 minutes the nasty things backed out. Kleen green everything and lysol spray. Don't forget to treat ur pets I am using a lime sulfur dip for the cat. I keep a jar of Vaseline and a spray bottle of alcohol, Apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil and camphur oil with me all the time to slather or spray any spots if I feel them crawling. I am also trying to build up my immune system as a weak immune system can let mites get out of control. In the morning I eat two raw cloves of garlic. Afternoon I take probiotics and evening I drink emergen-c and add apple cider vinegar to it. I think I am winning but won't feel safe for a few more weeks.

I hope you won't sell your car. One of my renters in called this summer to say the house was infested with mites. For her it started right after the neighbor cut down 2 oak trees each about 200 years old. She not sure if they just starets crawling in or the cats and dogs brought them in. I can't even tell you how many squirrels and birds owls mice possum were in those trees, lived in those trees. They were home to many for YEARS.

Her car was broken so I let her drive mine. I'm in Washington state and didn't need it. So now the car AND the house are infested. Probably the apt above the garage too. I was planning on selling the house and the car, but I can't do it. I just can't subject other innocent people to this crazy mite or what wver it is.

She like you has been to several doctors. No help there.

She is one of my best friends too I need the money desperately from the sale of my house and car. But REFUSE to infest anyone else. I've read so many stories of people buying cars or moving into a house or apt and getting infested with a bug they didn't have have. It's not fair to sell that infested car to someone.

I'm on disability about 800a month. I was visiting my mom in Washington after my hubby of 20yrs died Jan 2015, when my renter called and told me about the mites. I'd never heard of such a thing and thought ill just stay up her in wa. Till she gets rid of them its been 8 months. She is still dealing with them. She thinks she gets rid of them, the it rains and they start up again!! The neighbors that cut the trees left them lying on the ground for months, they too got infested.

Anyway my message is please don't sell your car, this is how it is spread. Not fair. really not fair. I am doing the right thing by NOT SELLING MY HOUSE OR CAR, until they are gone!!! I NEED the money I'm disabled and unable to work. I'm willing to do the right thing and take a loss maybe permanent I don't money off her rent, it just pays the mortgage.

Please think about this carefully.

I feel so bad for all of you, it affects even people that don't have this bug, not nearly as bad, but it is crippling me financially.

The doctors have got to pull their heads out of the butts.

This is real. This frightening!!

Flea Control Drops

I fought these things off and on for years. My dog and some of my friends dogs have also had to fight this off. I was putting Vanguard (with mite control) flea control drops on my dog and thought... why not... and put just a couple of drops on my arm... in 2 days I was itch free and stayed that way for quite a while. They came back, I treated again. I don't have any idea the long term complications of my actions... but that was first back in 2011 and pretty much they were gone until I recently moved and got old bed clothing out of storage and now... we're back to fighting them again! But one thing I do like about using the frontline... every time they bite me I'm poisoning them. After a while it would seem that if they all take a bit, they'll all die.

Cary (Kansas)

For mites the best treatment is a mixture of essential oils in a nebulizer, and 3% hydrogen peroxide (H202) as spray after each shower plus improving the immune system.

I have done a lot of research and essential oils seem to work even though this has to be used for some time. It is advisable to obtain professional info. as health food stores do not seem to carry high percentage oils.

In addition, one liter of water daily with a pinch of salt and 1/8th teasp. of borax sipped throughout the day five days a week. This for about six months. For males, 1/4 teasp. of borax.

Namaste, Om

I am also trying Apple Cider Vinegar Braggs with the mother spraying that on myself also holding it on for 5 minutes on spots. Just started the Mayo and ACV. Remedies Needed
Posted by Myredemption (Wa) on 12/01/2015 5 posts

I have this infestation/infection and it is the "superbug" that Morgellons sufferers refer to. My variation of Morgellons is with superbugs infecting my entire environment, especially clothing and paper material. Its a tiny white superbug that flies extremely fast, mostly to get to my scalp/head. Their existence is manifested by white/black/brown specks and tiny white/black fiber/threadlike material. After dealing with this for 3 years, I believe that I'm more than halfway to being free from this. The challenge lies in having enough money to leave EVERYTHING behind AND to rid most of them from my body. My goal is a clean environment and clothes that is not infested and not having them in/on my body which otherwise would reinfest clothes and my home environment rather quickly.

I think that this superbug is the vector for the organisms/particles that comes out of lesions when essential oils/solutions are applied. For me, it came first, and then ultimately I developed lesions, myiasis in the fingers' nail area, and of course the infestation of my environment. I'll share some insight from my years of observation of this plight and could help others to live again.

My infection began when my neighbor's cat ran into my apartment unnoticed at night as I entered. By the time that I found him, it was curled up and sleeping on my bed. Shortly thereafter, I heard "popping" sounds of something in my ear when going sleep laying on my side with my ear against the pillow. I thought they were harmless earmites of some kind and used over the counter lice permethrin sprays on my bedding. It didn't go away and due to a busy lifestyle, I didn't try to eradicate it, living with it and only dealing with it when I go to bed. Looking back, I saw a lot of people scratching in close proximity. But like everyone, didn't realize that I'm the cause at first; one has to be very observant and conscious to recognize it. Then 6 years later, I got a cat, and made the mistake of letting it go outside and utimately bringing the Morgellon's superbug. I recalled that I felt a "fuzz" when petting her after that day. My cat also brought back a flea infestation and I believe that a flea bite infected me with the Morgellon's/superbug. I also had a couple of mice at the time and this is most likely a part of this developing problem; possibly with mites from the mice. I began noticing that there were white specks EVERYWHERE and continually reappeared despite vacuuming the previous day. Then one day, I woke up from a nap and felt something clogging my nose. I pulled out a clump of long white strandlike material and that brought me to the realization that something was wrong along with an infestation of some kind. I had 4 exterminators come out, telling me that there is nothing but "dust" after showing them the white specks. One of them said they were whiteflies and that they don't treat for agricultural pests. I then started feeling crawling/bites on my scalp, especially when I was in my car. I bought a steam cleaner to clean and kill whatever bugs were in there and strangely black specks and splotches appeared on the fabric that I was steam cleaning. (According to Ted on this site, Morgellons bugs turn black when killed.) There were also strange black, white, and brown specks and smears on my furniture and logically I proceeded to clean. Then I noticed that shortly after cleaning a furniture item, the specks and smears were on them again. I ended up throwing out ALL of my furniture and moved into an apartment that I find out to be infested with Morgellons and ancillary bugs that are attracted to it. I got bites creating an itchy red rash, put hydrogen peroxide on them and black specks surfaced. Strange material/particles appeared on all surfaces in my apartment and I began to feel bites or something landing on my head despite not being in the car. I also got rid of my car, fought property management to get out of the year long lease (and won). But the nightmare had begun. I stopped work due to all the sores/lesions on my face and dedicated all of my time to cleaning and trying to eradicate this infestation. At the time, I didn't know about Morgellons and never thought that these parasites are in my body. I continued to feel the bug bites and crawling feeling on my head. I also had the superbugs on my belongings and they would fly to my head/scalp when I disturbed whatever they were on. I lived in hotels for 6 months moving into a new room every 1-3 days, sold my car, and only had a large bag of belongings. Yet the plight continues. At the time, I realized that I could infest others, especially the people that I cared about and stayed to myself and my girlfriend who strangely wasn't affected at all.

Eventually, I spent all of my savings and maxed out my credit cards due to hotels, living expenses, and buying products to try to eradicate the infestation. I was homeless, unemployed, and lost most of my social circle. This was in Southern California and I had to move back into my mother's place in Seattle. No one believed that I had a bug infestation and family/friends even discussed an intervention for a psychiatric hospital stay. It ended up not happening but I knew then and there that I'm alone in this. I saw many doctors, mainly PCPs and a couple of dermatologists. None were helpful, few even made a close observation of my lesions/sores with all the rest saying that they don't see anything. I was prescribed Hydroxyzine for itch and tubes of steroid gel. Unknown to me, I was eventually diagnosed with Delusional Parasitosis and they put me on Risperidone. I didn't know that it was prescribed for their assumed DP diagnosis and was told that it would help me relax, so I took it. All of my cleaning activity caused the superbugs to infest my fingernail area. There was a white substance under my nails and skin around the nails, which were cracked and white in color. When I clipped the skin off, something would fly out and hit my face along with white grainy particles coming out. My clothes were heavily infested by then, with brown and white specks constantly on most items and the superbugs flying off and hitting my face/scalp. It was hell and I wished that I wasn't alive at times. In my mind, I knew that I couldn't even date or have a family with this condition. Also, I only focused on my environment and didn't consider that my health would be the key to repel the bugs and kill the ones on/inside my body. I moved into my own place and began infesting it, despite all attempts to stop its re-population, with ziplock bags. I knew that I had to work again to earn money for the products that I used. Ultimately, I had infested my workspace - keyboard, chair, carpet, and moniter and was being reexposed each day. People withing 10 feet of me would scratch or cough around my area on the bus. I knew that it wasn't a coincidence because when a lot of the bugs were jumping to my head, a lot of people around me are scratching as well.

Key points and what has helped me:

Now I barely feel bites/crawling from clothes for most of the day. I'm trying to rid them from my body and building up my health and immune system. When I use the bathroom for a number 2, I feel the bugs come out and get back on my head. I feel particles/bugs landing on my face/head. I know...it's disgusting and I have to rid them from my body. I even quit smoking due to this because the bugs will infest my cigarettes and when smoked come flying to my head and face. Even my medications get infested despite being double ziplock bagged in an "airtight" container after repeated openings. My plan is to leave everything behind(since it's all contaminated) and not have enough in/on my body that would otherwise infest new clothes/environment.

- The superbugs fly and their particles are airborne. This dynamic is the most challenging when trying to overcome this variation of Morgellons. Many particles float in the air constantly, emanating from contaminated belongings. It is one of its life stages - possibly nymphs. If you pay attention and look at the "air", you may see tiny tiny particles, which can be seen as a slight white blur. Sure some of it is dust but upon close observation with a dark background, the particles have a CONTROLLED floating pattern. I believe that this is why many people cannot overcome Morgellons. A person continually breathes the particles in and anything that is amongst the particles will become infected. My theory to permanently overcome Morgellons is to get away from the contaminated air as well as the contaminated items. For example, when I buy a new article of clothing and leave it unbagged in my apartment, it will start having specks/superbugs on it within 3 hours. After about 8 hours, it is fully contaminated and if worn, will cause crawling, itching, and biting on my skin and head. This means that wherever I go, there is a cloud of particles that envelopes/float around me. Not to be funny but think of Pigpen in the peanuts comics. This is why people will scratch and cough/sneeze when I am within 5 feet of them and on a bad day with infested clothing, 10 feet. This means that on the day of leaving everything behind SOMEONE WHO IS NOT INFECTED has to bring clothing to me; anything that I'm within 5 feet of for an extended period of time will be infected. Even ziplocked items are not fully protected over time. When the bag is opened, particles/bugs will float in and reinfest. This airborne aspect is why cleaning can be futile, because the airborne particles will just re-infect a cleaned item when placed in the other side of the room. This also means that I can infect others. I get depressed from minimal contact with family. I don't socialize much and don't have friends due to discomfort being around others in the same place for an extended period of time. My concern is that when they realize that they scratch while being around me, they will know that I have an infection of some kind.

- Cleaning needs to be done while the entire body is protected or covered. Keep in mind that some items cannot be cleared/rid of parasites. There are items, esp plastics where I have sprayed with a killing solution, poured boiling water on, and then rinsed only to still be infected evidenced by a white film shortly thereafter. Cleaning is basically moving particles/bugs from one place to another and it could be to YOU. The problem is when they are disturbed, they will become airborne and land on your body as well as being breathed in at a high concentration. I use Ted's recommended Tetrasodium EDTA/Ammonium Chloride formula to kill the bugs. Kleen Green purchased on Amazon ($75 + $19 shipping for a gallon of concentrate) works well too and I take a bath in it. It kills the bugs (EDTA is better at killing) and forms a protective barrier on the body when air dried. The problem while cleaning is when the solutions are sprayed on any surface, the live ones will fly at me. Their other particles will go into the air exactly where I'm at and breathed in. I plan on moving in a month and therefore decided to only do spot cleaning and not disturb the others. If I were to stay, I would spray EVERYTHING, including walls and ceilings in one cleaning session.

- These superbugs/Morgellons go INSIDE my body and will come out while on the toilet. I fear that it is also in other fluids, if you get what I mean. I'm theorizing that if my immune system is strong, then it will eradicate some of them. The other ones need to be driven out.

For building the immune system:

- Eating minimal carbs/sugars and consuming a healthy diet esp. vegetable/protein.

- Taking Vitamin D: 10,000 IU/day. There is a book about the author taking 10x the daily recommended dosage everyday for a year and most of his health problems - arthritis, high cholesterol, etc were gone.

- Taking Glutathione, which is produced by the body to rid toxins. The most effective product to induce Glutathione production is MaxOne GXL Glutathione. This is key to building my body back up. According to Wikipedia: Glutathione (GSH) is an important antioxidant in plants, animals, fungi, and some bacteria and archaea, preventing damage to important cellular components caused by reactive oxygen species such as free radicals, peroxides, lipid peroxides and heavy metals.

- Taking Cholorella (cracked cell wall) 8,000 mg/day. It is a green algae superfood high in chlorophyll, protein, antioxidants and minerals. It's widely used for its properties to stimulate and enhance the immune system, and reducing radiation treatment side effects by increasing white blood cell counts. In addition to this it has a chelating effect (getting rid of metals) which will help clean the bioterrain in my body. NutriGuardian's Chlorella found on Amazon has the highest mgs for the money.

- Taking a probiotic. This is to develop and maintain a strong immune system with the gut's good bacteria. The gut is a main component of our immune system and probiotics will help with nutrient absorption. I take 5 medications and they inhibit efficient absorption of nutrients. I chose a liquid form of probiotics (SCD Essentials Liquid) with the two main genus groups: Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Although there are others in there, broad spectrum probiotics will have these two groups. I found it on Amazon as well.

- Supplementing my diet with a multivitamin superfood powder to optimize my health. It goes without saying that a vegetable rich supplement is healthy. I use Amazing Grass Green Superfood Alkalize and Detox in a drink.

- Alkalizing with Ted's formula, mine consists of 2 TBSP of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 tsp of baking soda in a regular sized drink bottle. I drink this twice a day, 30 min. after a meal. Parasites have a hard time living in a neutral PH body so this is a key step.

- Killing/ridding bugs from my body with Ted's formula which consists of a capful of Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide 3% and 1/4 tsp (I added more) of Food Grade Borax.

- Expelling and repelling superbugs with Essential Oils formula. I found this here at Earth Clinic and it works! A person in an interview said that he/she was cured from Morgellons with this. It consists of 5 drops (I do 7) of the following essential oils with a water chaser after each oil. They are: 1. Clove Oil, 2. Cinnamon Cassia Oil 3. Lemon Oil, 4. Red Thyme Oil, 5. Oregano Oil, 6. Rosemary Oil. Use 3x/day and it's 3 days on, 2 days off.

- I take Biotin which helps with a healthy metabolism and creating important enzymes. Biotin is often used to strengthen hair and nails, and is also called Vitamin H (for hair). Since Morgellons affects the skin and the superbugs will bite/burrow into the skin, it's important to maximize it's strength. Many systems benefit from biotin including the skin, nerves, digestive tract, metabolism and cells.

- Vitamin C - 3,000 mg/day. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, good against toxins in this Morgellon's fight.

- Wormwood Tincture - 3 dropper-ful/day. This helps drive out the superbugs/Morgellons. Wormwood is known to help the body produce an environment that is toxic to harmful organisms. It is also a powerful antioxidant and aids digestion.

Other Helpful Tips -

- Using an Electric Pressure Cooker for my clothes, with a wash cycle in the washing machine IMMEDIATELY after the cooking has ended. This will eliminate most of the bugs and will feel comfortable when worn. If you let it sit in the cooker, it will be reinfested due to bugs settling on the inside of the lid/top as well as the rest of the cooker. I hang dry if possible assuming there is enough time to dry before use. I cook clothes the night before it is worn. A pressure cooker gets the temp. higher than boiling water. This rids the parasites from clothes by killing and MAINLY driving them out of clothing items. Borax didn't work for the superbugs that has infested my clothes. I even boiled some clothes only to find that some were still alive and clothes still uncomfortable to wear. So I thought...why not cook them at an even hotter temperature. I bought a 10 quart electric pressure cooker found on Amazon (this was the largest one for electric ones that I found. Anything bigger would be an autoclave.) and in one session can treat a pair of jeans, 2 boxers, a t-shirt, and a sweater. That's one outfit, which I cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I make sure that there is at least 1/4 fill of water in the pot. WARNING: DO NOT USE IN YOUR HOME, USE OUTSIDE WITH ENOUGH DISTANCE FROM YOUR HOME. This is because A LOT of the superbugs will come out of the pressure cooker during cooking despite the lid being locked. They come out from under the lid and through the steam vent on every pressure cooker. I first used it in my apartment hallway and now is infested badly. Didn't think they would come out but they do. The area around the pressure cooker WILL BE INFESTED due to cooker use, so place accordingly. If you don't have an outlet, I recommend a generator to power the pressure cooker placed far enough from your home.

- Using a Far-Infrared Sauna to sweat out toxins and kill the bugs/Morgellons in the body. If you are not familiar with it, Google it. After each use, I feel super clean and bug free.

- Wear a bandanna, beanie, or other head gear whenever possible. My head is shaved and the bugs aim to go to my scalp when I'm in a badly infested environment or when cleaning. It's important to not allow more to burrow into the head. I believe that in addition to electrostatic energy attracting the Morgellons/superbug to the head, that these are socially oriented organisms communicating and ATTRACTING more to where a group/nest is. For example, if I spray EDTA/Ammonium Chloride to kill them on a sleeping bag, the ones that are still alive are all in clumps together.

- Use Nature's Gift Debriding Soap to kill and extract the bugs/Morgellons from the skin. Non-toxic and natural. It works very well and turned my situation around. The first time that I applied it to my scalp without diluting, there was a big purge of Morgellons/bug particles/specks with clumped up fibers that are round and thick in the middle. In fact, I applied regular lotion later on that day and it REACTIVATED the purging while I was on the bus. The moisture will reactivate and I felt tingling along with some crawling sensations on the head. Then fibers and particles dropped to my lap. There was a fan that the bus driver turned on above my head and it blew all the particles everywhere. Oh well. I use it full strengthen on infected areas to kill the bugs. In fact, my infected finger are now finally cured after 3 years. Apply and use a pumice stone to scrape biofilm/dead skin off infected body parts. Dilute it and use in the ears; I move my head around to get the solution flowing into all the space in the ear canal. I hear loud popping indicating dying bugs and after about 15 minutes, rinse my ear out with a spray from the shower head. Using Clinere earwax picks will extract dead ones as well after rinsing. I've ordered another bottle and will cover my entire body with it for 30 min. or more if necessary. You will feel the bugs move around trying to get away from the soap inside your body. For me, they exited out of my toes. I always felt them crawling up my leg to a certain spot and saw a cut/scrape there and realized that they crawl up my calf and enter the body in the spot. I don't remember scraping that spot and wonder if the superbugs/Morgellons created it. Thus be sure to seal all wounds.

- My keyboard was always getting infested and they jump at my face, along with particles floating above the keyboard, infecting my hands while typing. I searched and found WASHABLE KEYBOARDS on Amazon. I scraped money up and got the best one which is by Logitech and is truly washable.

I hope that all of this helps and please share if you know something that can help us. This is the only way for us to overcome these parasites/Morgellons; I felt the need to spend a few hours typing this up because what goes around comes around. Doctors aren't helping so we need to help each other. My email is socal2wa (at) gmail

Borax, Tea Tree Oil, H2O2, Vitamin E
Posted by Jimbo (Idaho) on 11/20/2015

I did it! After 4 yr.s I"m finally free of mites! OH how good it feels to be normal again. I used just about all the things suggested on this site, but what I did different was to stay on antibiotics for the last year. I could"nt tell the doctors what I needed them for because they"ll think ur parapsychotic. I followed the helpwithcpn.com protocol (vanderbilt university) as closely as possible.Find a way to get antibiotics. At the end of it I wore a zapper& magnetic bracelets too. Also very low carb diet, lost 20 lb.s almost killed me, but relocated again and they"re gone. Clove, peppermint, lavender, camphor, tea tree, neem oils neem tablets. Teds Borax and hp blend for spot treatment. Used borax and lysol laundry treatment for clothes. Just don"t tell ur doc what you want the anti biotics for. If you do they"ll withhold them from you. I had a derm plus another doc, I figured it out by accident. The antibiotics are a also a colon cleanse.I paid attention to my immune system too. I did"nt find neem tabs until the final few months, I think that may have been the final blow for them. My trick was to treat it internally as well as externally. I don't care what anybody tells you it is a blood and internal malady as well as external/skin. Cleanse inside and it will die off. Don"t give up! You can beat this, I did, it destroyed my life as I knew it but I"m still alive. You are not crazy! Do yourself a favor, don"t tell doctors what ur doing, and if you want to keep your friends don"t tell them either if you do you"ll soon find yourself abandoned. I hate to say that but it"s true. Just keep it to yourself! Your better off, when you do get better, you"ll hopefully still have a normal life to go back to.

Dry Mustard

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I have been using the dry mustard if I feel even an itch and I was down to no crawls and bites but I got reinfected and the mustard with water does not seem to work for me anymore in my hair. One of our tenants' families was badly infected with mites. We managed to get the mites out of the rental house after they moved; although, we got infected. Our next tenant stayed in the house for 5 years with no problem. When she moved and we did work on the house 2 months ago, some of the mites were hiding under the house. When we replaced boards at the bottom of the house and replaced some under-the-house plumbing, we were inundated again with the mites. I want to spray under the house, but I don't want to gather more mites on me but I have to do it.

Hi and hello. so glad to read all of your messages. you communicate well about infestations and what to do about them.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Kleen Green and Kleen Free other than the price?

I've been using KG for a month and it has made a great difference in reducing the sheer numbers of mites. Getting good results, but it is very hard to analyze each movement and get up the energy to fight to good fight (vacuum and steam clean my car at least twice a week, plus all the rest of it)):

I want to switch from KG to KF. Has anyone else done that? Thank you

HI U TROOPER, , , , , , , , , , , ,

Good to see others who use stuff made for animals. We buy our MSM and DMSO from our Farm Co-op at much better prices.

The sulfur procedure you used for your mites is the same as what folks have done for many, many years to cure their dogs of mange, which is demodex mites.

Heat above 120 degrees will also kill mites and all that requires is a sauna. I would be interested in how long you did this procedure because you have mite eggs hatching for a period of time and would be surprised if this was a one shot deal.

What has worked for me, and I have spent a fortune on every drug out there is Lime Sulfur Dip. from Vet Basics. through Amazon.

They delivered it quick, and it is a Antimicrobial & Antiparasitic concentrated solution.

Add to 2 ounces of Sulfur Dip, to one Gallon of water, and shake well. You can double that dose to 4 ounce if 2 isn't enough.

Mix in well ventilated area.

You stand in the bath tub and after shampooing then apply liberally to your hair and body, and let that drip dry, and you will get immediate relief.

I am taking lots of parasite drugs for a disease that is carried by the same mosquito that causes Malaria, but if Doctors give you a corticosteroid it will lower your resistance and kill you within three days. Luckily I could see the Doctors were brain dead and became a expert in Tropical Disease, and Parasites, and I have thus far saved my life.

I found a much better way of taking the Lime Sulfur Dip, which really kicks rear.

Which is, you make a quart or use the small Ocean Spray plastic container and mix with 2.5 ounces of Lime Dip, and I pour 3/4 of the solution into a hot bath tub of water and mix well, and then soak and take a wash cloth and rub harder on the bad spots but don't worry because they will all start melting and you can rub them away, and take the skin and stuff that's coming up and put it on the edge of the tub and collect later.

Now you are way ahead of the game, because there soft and easily wiped off.

Next stand up and pour the rest of the solution into your hair, and all over your body and let try while you are busy getting rid of all the dead ones coming up, and they fill like sand paper under your hand, and that is how fast they start heading out.

You can do this once every four days, and you can hit a bad spot anytime, by leaving a little in the container.

It is super cheap, 16 ounces which will make 8 gallons, and only cost twelve dollars, and a few bucks for mail. So you can also cure your animals quickly and cheaply.

This could change allot of lives fast. Don't worry about the dog and cat thing on the label, because it works, and I heard other Doctors admit the same.

Did you ever wonder why we worm our animals and not ourselves. The reason is that Parasites which we all have, and usually it is us, giving the worms to the Pet. A parasite crapping 24/7 in your body causes cancer in time, so as you can well imagine, that little secret is buried deep.

Good luck folks, and this could save most of you.

Concerned about all of you, the Paratrooper.

Tea Tree Oil + Neem

I have had mites where they bite, sting and price before about two years ago.I vacuumed and shampooed my carpets. I went to the vet and bought micodex and is a microbial mite killer. I sprayed my whole house. It was better and then I went to Dollar General and bought raid that kills every thing and I balmed the house with it. In the mean time I was got perinth cream from the Dr. it did work but I had gotten it back in between treatments on the house. So I called an herb Dr. in Tennessee and she said to do 17 to 18 drops of tea tree oil and about the dame of neem oil in a bath and I did that for a week. The herb lady said the the neem and tea tree oils retards them, kills them, and if they do mate it actually kills them. It just takes longer to kill them. She told me to spray this solution all over the house with tea tree oil and neem oil 17 drops and 15 drop in a spray bottle. Then went to wall mart and bought lice treatments and did those all over my body for about three days in between working. I got some shampoo for mites and fleas from the vet and gave the kitty a bath and got rid of everything and life was normal. Oh and for a whole weekend I also did nothing but garlic juicing with carrots, broccoli, and parsley. I smelled like a garlic balm all weekend but I could also feel the mites dying and leaving me. I also put my clothes in bags and sprayed each individual bag with Micodex and left them there for 2 weeks. I only kept out so many cloths to wear and as I wore them they went into bags also. I was very diligent. I am just hoping that I do not have to do this all again.

I recently picked up a cat that was in my brothers yard and he tole me that the cat went hunting with its dad for a couple of days and I did not know that. Now I have the bird mites again. I am just doing tea tree oil and pine ointment from natures sunshine and I do not put the pine ointment in my hair cause it is too greasy but it does kill them along with the baths. I am going to add kleen green to this because it has an enzyme and see if just those things will work. Other wise I am going to do what I did the first time about 2 years ago when I had this.

Hi About just over 2 years ago I started getting a crawling sensation all over my body and intense itching. Then my mum was complaining of the same. We googled symptoms and decided we had bird mites but all the syptoms didn't match, then we thought it was dog mange but apparently humans can't catch animal mange, then I decided it was scabies but no rash! Then we thought it was rat mites and then back to scabies. We went to countless drs who referred us onto skin specialist who decided we had a case of "dry skin" and the way we were treated by the gps was appalling! Anyway while this is going on we are trying home remedies: tea tree oil, apple cider vineger ( both bathing and drinking), alfalfa tea, lyclear, bleach baths (everyday), plastic covers on beds, bagging all clothes after one wear, steaming, pesticide from hardware store, clove oil, salt lamps, dehumidifiers, garlic tablet, vitamins, sulphur, sulphur soap all types of creams potions and lotions (and there were more) we were at our wits end and severely depressed just wanting to die.... seriously. I have now been mite free for about a month or so. Here's what finally worked: All our clothes were bagged after one wear and sheet s changed daily( we had been doing this anyway) but this is important. I quit sugar. No more sugar in my diet ( a little here and there but not too much! ) Then every single day I would put on benzamil application head to toe everyday or straight after showeringin hot water (cook em! ). Do this until they are gone. If they come back do it again. You will be free again. These parasites have cost me about $4000. I don't want anyone to have to go through that again. Until you've lived it you have no idea. I vowed if I ever cured these dirty critters I would post what worked for other sufferers. I wish you all freedom and peace.

Preventing Reinfestation of Mites

Having fought a 10 year battle with these mites before eradicating them, and thousands of $$ l would like to remind newcomers that these mites get on everything in your home. They make new adults every 7 days. In 6 months, you can have a million, and a week after that you will have 2 million. Your ceilings, your walls, your upholstered furniture, your car seats and any fabric coverings, light fixtures, computers, electronic devices, dog or cat beds, the underside of tables and chairs, curtains, books, any cracks and seams in wallpaper, mattresses and pillows, Wow. Almost impossible to see with the naked eye, some species can live up to 9 months without feeding. You must spray these areas, and cover your seating or sleeping areas entirely encased in plastic that has all seams, including zippers duct-taped. Check every 3 days for holes and duct tape those. Preventing re-infestation is as important as treating yourself. You can bathe and treat yourself, but going back to sit on that untreated couch or chair or car or porch or yard will re-infest you, that is why some things seem not to work, it is working, but you are going where there are still mites living to get on you. Read all the letters to the end of the mite site and you will get valuable information to help your fight. It is worth the time, as further down you will get info that you may like better than what you have read before. l rid myself of mites using what l read here and Ted's info (thank you so much, Ted and EC) and using kerosene and taking DE powder internally. Also used a pest company twice to use miticide everywhere. Now if someone will show me how to convince my family members that they have mites l will be eternally grateful. Cheers.

Honestly I had a 3 year fight with this & strong bicarb baths & a good dusting of Flowers of Sulfur all over repeatedly dayly worked. Then Kleen Green mixed with Dr Bronners Sal Suds into a liquid soap allso has worked on me as soap & in water on my animals & house has stopped them dead!! You need to do this every day. All of it include dusting your bed & furniture with the sulfur & wash or spray the Kleen Green on everything. No chemicals so well pleased with this result & the sulfur has a antdepressant uplifting affect. Persistance is definately the key cos it takes a while for the crawlings to stop completly!!

Mites: I was infested by some ducks that I rescued & I found that a strong (3 mugs) of bicarbonate of soda in a bath helped. I allso took bicarb (1/2 tsp) 2x a day as they hate low ph blood. Then dust yourself ALL OVER with flowers of sulfer. Dust your bed as well. Then mix kleen green & Dr Bronners Sal Sudds as a liquid soap & just keep on washing with it. I never thought I would be rid of the little blighters but me & the birds are all nice & mite free now. Persistence is the key.

Hello Chandra, (Victoria, BC) ---

Even though Ted's formula has helped a few dogs and I don't know about people, it has increased my dog's skin problems and I had to discontinue it for myself because of the drying effects and no noticeable improvement.

I used MMS with very good results but my skin was like dry paper and again had to discontinue. I did cure my rosacea though more than a year ago only using colloidal silver which I make myself, on a cotton ball, doing half an hour at a time and not for too long. It came back once after sun exposure and doing a little CS application, then did not return. CS is excellent for eye issues with a dropper bottle. It kills the mites around the eye balls.

But I have new mites and some old ones in my eyes and head. Now, after much research on EC, I seem to have the answer.

First of all, NO antibiotics. They will make it harder for the body to resolve this issue.

My skin is very fair and needs goodly amounts of quality oil, not drying remedies. That was the mistake with my big dog, too. His skin began to split and bleed so I saw this was not to be done.

Right now we are using Neem Seed Oil from an ayurvedic supplier. This slightly warmed in cool weather but not in hot weather as it is easy to apply, No microwave, massaged all over the body and in my case the upper body and head.

I do this daily or every other day about three times a week. In my dog's case I keep seeing a lot of dead black small things after massage. But in my case I have to persevere longer with Neem tincture which has to mature for two weeks and daily shakings for now. To make neem tincture, use dry neem leaves powder with equal amount of wodka and keep in a bottle for two weeks at least. Then put through a cloth. I will have to wait now for about two weeks while I apply neem oil to moisturize the body and saturate the skin. I acquired my mite problem by using someone else's pillow. Not from a dog. Later from a garment of a big Canadian store.

I found this neem tincture remedy by researching on EC where a man who was in Africa wrote he cured himself with the stronger neem tincture in three days, applying this morning and evening for three days. I would follow up though to make sure, all is well.

It has to be noted that the neem tree (Margosa) in India is anti parasitic' and bugs and a host of detrimental critters, even freeing land of weeds to make it arable. Including many health issues, such as diabetes. It is considered a holy tree.

A lot of work ahead but I am confident that this approach is very beneficial. All the best.

Namaste, Om

Dear Earthlings, this will be my final words on this subject. It's just about one year since my horrible run in with what I believe to be mites. I have made my way back to EarthClinic.com because of my desire to stop the suffering due to the lack of communication or assistance from the medical field.(see previous posts) The infestation on my body of these mites shook me to the core, as I was in deep despair. The out of control nature of the mite behavior, my secrecy and concerns that it was contagious, my thoughts that it was incurable;the limitations it places on your ability to move about doing normal things was making life unbearable. I got ok results with some remedies, believed that I was cured when mite activity quieted down. I eventually learned that these suckers have a life cycle and you can be tricked into thinking that it's over. Reading the posts of others I can relate to their anguish. Ultimately, I had to realize that this was simply an infection. A stubborn one, but an infection. After many tries with assorted different remedies I began to meditate daily. I used golden seal diluted in water as an eyewash. I used aloe Vera ( both live and pharmacy purchased) as a lotion, the stickiness seemed to trap the mites. However, after a few hours I could feel the buildup and would have to wash and reapply. I used tea tree oil in small amounts to spot treat. I settled on oregano oil on qtips for inside ears, nostrils. The mites in my scalp were driving me crazy. I used a blow dryer and must have got rid of 95% on my scalp. I used the blow dryer on my feet and palms of hands with less effect. Also, my feet would hurt from slight swelling. Blow drying at 3 am is noisy and annoying to keep doing it. So I searched for an alternate solution. I used Golden Seal liquid (about 4 drops) in a pint of water. It's effectiveness was astonishingly swift! My eyebrows felt soft instead of stiff and rough, no wriggling under skin, no sudden biting; I feel whole and human. So that's it. I figured it out, so can you. Don't despair, it can be cured. I hope this helps someone. Make it a great tomorrow! Thanks Earthclinic.com Without you I may have checked out.

Turpentine
Posted by Sharon (Tampa) on 08/19/2015

Hi folks, sorry for the delay, as l post and then forget to look for questions. Thank you again Ted for your oxyclean and borax mix for my pomeranians. l used it on myself when l had nothing else!!! l have used lamp oil, low-odor kerosene(stinks), low odor lighter fluid, turpentine, and Lysol spray to kill them fast. l have sprayed the lighter fluid in my autos everywhere but the glass(didn't feel like cleaning the glass). l tried de-stinking the lighter fluid with essential oils, eucalyptus, and any of the tree-scented ones, but got the best results on odor with a cookie-scented oil. Sweet smells the best, and petroleum products do smell, l have only electric appliances in my house, and caution using around any gas appliances. l have used lighter fluid on everything in my house, and, every inch of my body, in my nostrils, eyelashes, raw spots- over and over on spots that take 14 days to heal, and then revitalize the skin with oil baths, or udder ointments at night, which are thick with lanolin. I like the lighter fluid best for my scalp, but l sometimes use a mix of half citric acid powder and half water in a glass to pour over my scalp with my head back, work with my nails into my scalp until the itching stops, and then shampoo as usual. DO NOT GET INTO YOUR EYES. Burns!!!! L have been re-infected some 9 times now from relatives visiting occasionally who are in total denial that they have the mites. Can anyone tell me how to convince them once and for all. l had settled back to wait for their 3rd year of infestation to show up the worst, but they all moved within the year, and l have grandbabies suffering. As you know the doctors have no clue, and these mites are imitators and can barely be seen, even when you know what to look for. If your family starts showing ear infections, "psoriasis", running low-grade fevers, etc, know that they are infested, just not allergic enough to suffer as much. l even had one niece who found that psychologist getting his 15 minutes of fame claiming we are all "delusional" and she shared it with my family, so now, of course, l am old (65)and "senile" wink wink. l can tell you my oldest daughter now has "Bell's Palsy" after 3 years infestation with no treatment), and has had constant "chronic severe ear infections". Bell's Palsy happens when a trigeminal nerve has pressure on it-this nerve is located between the neck and the ear, closest to the ear. When visiting 2 years ago, l gave her two #00 capsules l had filled with praziquantal powder, and the next day, she came running to me exclaiming that all her sinus and ear problems had vanished and demanded to know what l had given her. When l told her it was a mite killer, she freaked, and told me l had tricked her and she got all mad. l just took myself home the next day and have been waiting for her to discover for herself that mom might be right. She also has a swelling closing off an artery in her neck by 90%, that the doc said only happens to very old people and was unusual in her age of 44. He is treating it like cholesterol clogging. l am still waiting for her to ask me for real help. These mites can cause all kinds of health havoc, especially fatigue. Well, wishing you all success, Sincerely, from the old mite buster.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Been dealing with infestation of mites for 6 months. Apple cider vinegar wiped over skin at night keeps the crawling down. I also put vinegar on my hair with a plastic cap. It is working. I use tee tree shampoo and soap during the day. Put ACV soaked socks on my feet for 30 minutes a day to kill those hiding ones. An air purifier ionizer kills them in car and bedroom.

I have cured myself of mites! I could NOT believe the sudden increase in the creepy crawling like sensation I felt just a few evenings ago. I have been feeling these mild sensations for a while now and never thought it was something abnormal. Who knew? That was until one night I was going to sleep and felt a surge of tingling all over my legs! It did not hurt nor keep me from sleeping because I was exhausted, but I knew that it wasn't normal. It felt like bugs where "peak-a-booing" in and out of my pores. I read everything I could about the sensation and determined it was mites!!

-I have had a rash on neck that just would not go away (in part because I wasn't following through when things were working). ACV burned because I was scratching, Sulfur mask - I slacked using it, tea tree with Vitamin E smell was annoying me All three got me result though. But Like I said I should've kept up with one regimen.

So this is what I did........

1. I woke up went to the store for new hepa filter and alcohol (90%), and apple cider vinegar, borax wasn't available nearby. I showered, sprayed myself everywhere with ACV and put on clean clothes fresh out the dryer.

2. I called a cleaning company to do the cleaning with me and cleaned everything in home from top to bottom (even the ceilings with a vacuum cleaner), while the workers wore janitor like suits. While they cleaned I put everything already clean in the dryer for 20 min. My dryer is incredibly hot. Drawer by drawer to make it easier to put back. Only my hands touched the clothes out of the dryer. The inside of the drawers were cleaned and sprayed with alcohol.

3. EVERYTHING was sprayed with 90% alcohol with a few drops of eucalyptus to cut the smell. Rugs, walls, mattresses, gym equipment, you name...it got sprayed. What couldn't be sprayed was wiped down and cleaned with HOT water, dried and then sprayed. Every removable fabric was washed in hot water then dried by high heat.

4. Feeling confident I killed them all I showered, sprayed myself with ACV and went to bed. To my horror I still felt the suckers on my legs but definitely not as much. I recall thinking why can't salt kill these buggers? So I got up and dissolved fine sea salt in water (more salt than water) & added ACV and poured it all over my body, air dried and went to bed with loose cloths on to keep the salt on my skin. I woke up feeling great. I still felt some peak-a-booing though.

I did another ACV salt solution, air dried and put on my clothes and went about my day. Still I felt them. I also felt like I stirred them up. Good cause I was was relentless.

I eliminated them from my environment. Really minimized them because we co-exist with them. :| I spray alcohol every where especially my bed, leaving bed unmade to air out.

5. Know to eradicate the nuisances off my skin. With skin lathered with sulfur soap I apricot scrubbed every square inch of me and pumiced my hand, feet and elbows. My goal is to starve them by not giving them any food, that is getting rid of dead skin as much as possible.

6. Twice a day: I pat-dried my skin and poured this mixture over my skin: 1 cup ACV, 1 cup dissolved (mostly) sea salt and 1/4 ground cloves. It is working. I used this mixture twice a day and clearly it is working. I do not feel that tingly peek-a-boo sensation. I just wear loose clothes to minimize sweat. (summer in NYC).

Now what seemed to happen is I forgot about my feet because I never felt them here. So I am guessing I drove them from one part of my body to another. SOLUTION... Ground cloves in my socks. Viola!!!!!!! As for the rash?? I use ground cloves in vaseline. I know that I killed these buggers burrowing in that rash because I felt it give me a spasm in a nerve on my neck! Yep, weird but the rash is dried up and does not itch at all. Leave the ground cloves and sea salt on your sheets while your gone for the day. Even sleep with as much as you can stand on and below your sheets. Sprinkle carpets with clovers and salt periodically and vacuum later.

This is my recipe and I am keeping up with it until long after its all gone. I have no idea how long their eggs take to hatch but I figured it is worth maintaining the regimen for a few weeks to get the entire life cycle. I also take ACV 3 times a day and am sprinkling clove in my lotion. Hahaha the buggers are going insane.

Good luck and thanks to all who shared their experiences. I learned a lot and came up with my recipe for killing mites.

Update January 25, 2016:

Original problem STILL GONE!!! No pee-a-booing. NOTHING present.

The heavy sea salt (above and below the sheets) and ground clove (above the sheets only) and sleeping with this for a few days really did the trick. It makes sense to me to sprinkle sea salt on the mattress and surrounding flooring/carpet. It "kills" bugs period. Sulfur shampoo as a lathery soap actually leave your skill feeling superiorly cleaned. I continue to use it, just not daily as of December 1, 2015. Ground clove as a body scrub is also nice a using sugar or sand for spa-ing types. I hope this helps someone else.

I also drink ACV as a daily tonic A shot in warm water taste like warm apple juice. Twice daily.

Mustard Powder
Posted by Es (Nj) on 07/15/2015

I have to (respectfully) disagree about mustard powder being unsuitable to Caucasian skin. I'm white, of European descent, so my skin is rather olive-toned but definitely I am white. I use mustard powder in face wash, body wash, shampoo, and lotion that I made for myself. I dilute it as follows, though this is approximate:

Face soap: 1 tablespoon of mustard powder, dilute powder well in 1 tablespoon of hot water, then add several tablespoons of a plain, unscented liquid face soap. (for making this, I prefer the soap that's more like a gel or liquid soap rather than the really watery soaps that come out of the bottle as a pre-lathered foam).

To make shampoo, body wash, or lotion, I do the same.

I feel a bit of heat on applying, and as I lather it in, the heat abates. I leave it on for a few minutes.

My skin is now very soft & is soothed from the demodex mites. My hair is softer and fuller and lovelier than before. My shoulders, neck, chest and back are now clear of the mild acne that kept coming back every time I wore tops that exposed my shoulders or back or chest to my long hair. I feel cleaner. I absolutely love mustard powder, it's my newest discovery... I jokingly call this my "Marvellous Mustard Mask" or my "Magical Mustard Mix" and it makes me very happy! I had to play with the ingredients a bit to get it right, the trick is to be sure not to burn yourself. But make no mistake, mustard is powerful and will whip those stupid mites into shape! You don't have to fear the mighty mites that make you miserable... I don't anymore because I know they're very vulnerable to MUSTARD powder (:

I tried Borax mule stuff, but I wasn't very into that stuff, didn't find it as effective, and found it a big hassle. I used to use tea tree oil, and would still use it 50% diluted in oil around the eyes to kill ocular demodex (causing ocular rosacea - meaning messed up lashes and chronically red or bloodshot eyes caused by demodex in the eye area), but for my skin, it stinks. I don't like the smell, and mustard seems to be more powerful and do the trick best. My skin and hair are benefitting from it, and I no longer feel contaminated. I don't care if there are a few on me, everyone has SOME of them. But I like knowing they can't thrive, there are few. I also do a fun trick, I'm an early bird, so often wake before sunrise. In the dark, I sometimes wash my face in my "marvelous mustard" soap mix. Why? because some mites only come out at night, to mate (YUK! ) and flee in the light of day. No problem, I just kill 'em while they're out on their little dating scene on my face! As I do, I think... "See ya, suckers! "

Maybe some people are too sensitive for it, others must just dilute it enough.

Mariam, I agree so much that the mainstream medical system is failing us badly on this one.

About 2 months ago I started itching all over, especially scalp, eyelids, inside & outside ears, crawlings up my nose, & inside genitals. A nightmare, especially since I don't see any critter on me. Then I realized there are birds nesting inside the roof of the apartment building where I live, (these are migratory birds that winter in southern USA) and various bugs dropping into my apartment from gaps in the ceiling that probably include the nearly invisible bird mites.

But I seem to be the only tenant who's affected. My apartment is covered with carpet, moving out would the better option?

Meanwhile, I try to change whatever in me attracts these buggers to me. I stopped drinking any alcohol. Avoid sugar of any kind. I eat tons of raw garlic. Spray essential oils (cedarwood, eucalyptus lemon, mint) liberally on myself and bed sheets before going to bed. Smear my scalp, around eyes, around nostril openings, ears and neck with tea tree oil. (Do NOT put tea tree oil inside nose or into eyes.)

As for topical applications of alcohol, I must avoid isopropyl alcohol as my joints get inflamed when I use that. Too toxic, gets absorbed through the skin, etc.

I figured that the kind of alcohol for drinking (ethyl) would be non-toxic. I found that vodka applied topically provided immediate relief. I don't drink it.

The crawling in my ears, nose and at the root of my eyelashes was driving me nuts, so I bathed my closed eyelids in vodka. With Q-tips soaked in vodka, clean inside nostrils and ear canal. Poured vodka on genitals, it burns like hell for about 20 seconds, but provided hours of relief. Inserted & twisted a Q-tip soaked in vodka up my anus.

Have been doing this for over two weeks now, and skin is fine so far, and much less itching and crawling.

As for the stubborn crawling on the scalp at the top of the head, tea tree oil or mint would only work for a brief time. I seem to have bugs embedded into the hair follicules. So I gave up and poured 95% ethanol anhydrous alcohol on my head (cheaper & stronger than vodka). This provided instant and long-lasting relief. I don't seem to get sore joints with ethanol.

I wash my clothes in borax. Threw my mattress & pillow away, and got rid of half my clothes and clutter. All of this helped. I'll try the topical garlic, borax and salt baths. Thank you to all who posted here, you are life-savers.
