Cayenne
★★★★★
I have been taking 3 cayenne pepper caps a day and I cannot believe how i can see better. I am typing away without glasses this evening. My vision is +2.5 on the left and +2.00 on the right.
Also I suffer from a bad cocxyx (tail bone pain) since I started the caps my pain has halved. I read somewhere it heals nerves I think its true.
I am telling everyone about it.I take a capsule with everymeal. Its working. I had a brand new wart which became sore so I mixed cayenne pepper with a drop of water to make a little paste and put it on the wart. Put a bandaid on it and now its gone. Try it.

Plus-Lens Therapy, Eye Massages

While it is too early to tell whether they will overcome myopia or not, I can tell you that my eyes already feel more relaxed, and my sinuses are draining better. Perhaps these exercises will help sinus trouble in addition to the myopia that plagues our nation.

The problem however is that no one really explains how to, but I figured it out somehow.
Here's what you have to do:
* Wear your glasses/contacts as little as possible.
* Go out to the store and buy a few pairs of reading glasses (yes READING glasses) in different diopters going from the strongest to the weakest. Reading glasses are cheap, so you won't have to spent much. :)
* Buy adhesive eye patches or make/buy a cloth one, you know, the kind pirates use, so you can probably find this in a toy store. I couldn't find any, so I just made one. This you can use to train your eyes separately, it's very useful and especially if you have different diopters in each eye (not my case, but still it helps!).
* Use weaker glasses/contacts. This can either be your old glasses or buy new ones online. Here you can find cheap ones.
http://www.zennioptical.com/cart/home.php
I bought over-the-counter contacts in different weaker diopters and tried out a few. Contacts are very cheap where I live (%uFFFD9 for 4 contacts) and I have a store next to my house which has been very practical. What I did was diminish the diopters with -0.25 every time I could see well enough with the weaker lenses. Initially I had -3.00(both eyes) so at first I bought -2.75(both eyes) With which I could see OK at first, not perfect though. I kind of had to squeeze my eyes to see perfectly. But that's the point...
Make sure to use weaker diopters with which you can see well, just a bit blurry. I don't want you to be involved in any accidents because of this. :(
You may see blurry first, but your eyes will adapt to it. Once you can see clearly with them, you have to use weaker ones.
* This isn't really necessary, but if you're willing to spent some money and/or you're lazy (like me:)), you can buy an eye massager. It relaxes your brain and eyes and takes away the tension. You can buy the cheapest at about $18 or the fanciest one at $100. Let me tell you this: they work just as effectively! I have both, so I know. I bought them on eBay as they were way cheaper than anywhere else.
Once you have everything you can start.
I would suggest doing the massages at least once a day. You can find them in this FREE e-book:
http://www.visiontherapy.net/order2.php
As I said I am lazy, so I just use the eye massager now. But at first I used to do the massages myself and it helped just as good I guarantee it.
Unfortunately just massaging your eyes isn't going to be as effective as when you do the plus-lens therapy, so here's how to do it.
You have to do this for at least a half an hour per day. The more you do it the better of course.
Take a book/magazine/newspaper or whatever you feel like reading. Put your reading glasses on to read. In the beginning you will feel weird and should probably start with lower diopters, say +2.00. I used between +4.00 up to +7.00 for fast(er) results.
You will see blurry with your plus glasses and that's exactly what we want. Put the text you're reading as far away from you as you can at a distance where you can read the letters slightly blurry. Make sure you can read the letters though. They just have to be a bit blurry, but have to be able to read them. You can do this exercise with both eyes or train your eyes separately especially if you have one eye that's weaker. Do this for at least a half hour a day.
Another exercise you can do instead of the reading is focusing on objects, while wearing your plus glasses of course. Take for example a pen (it can be anything really...) and put it in front of you so you can see it clearly. Move the object you're using farther away so you see it a little bit blurry. Hold it there for a while and try to focus on it, try to see it the best you can.
Another thing I do is try to focus on a point in a room that isn't so far away, but you can't really see without glasses. To do this you don't need you're glasses or reading glasses, just your eyes.
The point I chose was the alarm clock in my bedroom. It's about 2 meters away and every night before going to sleep I practice on it. At first all I saw was a red blob from the light it has. Now I can see that there're numbers on it, but can't tell the time yet. Only if I squeeze my eyes a bit I can see what time it is. This is also great for measuring how much you've improved!
Another thing you have to do if you wear contacts is carry around a pair of reading glasses. In case you need to read something/do close work at the store, in public, at work... put them on, to annul the minus from your contacts. Try to carry around the closest plus to your minus diopters. This sounds weird, so I'll illustrate it. If you wear -2.00 contacts, wear +2.00 to read. If you wear -1.5 contacts, wear +1.5 for reading.
People wearing glasses should take their glasses off as much as they can and only put their glasses on to see things that are far, such as when they're driving or watching TV etc.
Well, that's all I did to improve my sight and I only started a little over 2 months ago.
Hope it helps someone.

That's false and dangerous. Suggesting a myopic person wearing +7D is also dangerous even for reading. Plus lens therapy works to some extend and with long time. Please inform correctly first before using plus lenses for reading books or at the computer screen etc at the edge of blur.

Hello,
I'm sorry I didn't update my post there! I am now completely "cured" from myopia.
The progresses of plus lens therapy kind of stopped at -0.50 in both eyes. So, I wondered what happened and why I didn't get any better than that. I experimented taking Lutein, Bilberry, Carotenoids and many MANY other things. It wasn't until I started taking 500mg of L-Glutathione daily that I noticed even better eyesight. It took a while (3 months) for me to notice, but now, six months later, I don't need any glasses anymore! Maybe my myopia was caused by a congested liver or lack of glutathione? I don't know, but I'll keep taking it for ever.
To NIHAL from SYDNEY: Yes, you can start with 1.00 reading glasses! They're especially good when you're sitting in front of your computer.
Blessings to all and DON'T GIVE UP!

Hello Charly, thank you so much for detailed information!
I mean to try your method to cure my -6 myopia. Can you clarify one point please? I'm sorry this is so many years after your original post. Even if you don't wear contact lenses (only glasses), do you still wear reading glasses for reading? In the meantime, I'm wearing no glasses at all while I read.

Hi Charlie,
thanks so much for posting about your success. It is very inspirational.
Do you mind if ask you which brand of L-Gluthatione you used. I read that the gluthotinoe itself is hard to get into blood stream other than via injections or chewing tablets well before swallowing them. Ingestion of gluthatione is halted by an acid that our stomach is filled with so that even large doses taken orally (3g) are useless in bringing its level up in the blood. How did you overcome this obstacle? Or was the positive effect that you experienced due to placebo in large part? Where did you hear that L-gluthatione can help improve the eyesight? (Perhaps if I read from the same source I will obtain similar placebo effect (no kidding))
Another thing I was curious about is how did you manage with the initial discomfort while reading with the plus glasses on? I made a couple of attempts reading with the 1.25D on. I have myopia of roughly -1.5D and I don't wear contact or glasses at all. It is quite disturbing and unpleasant to read in them. I had the impression that the eye strain and mild dizziness that I got as a result are too strong and perhaps downright harming for my eyes. Was I doing something wrong? I pushed the text away so that it becomes somewhat blurry. I held the text with the glasses on at a distance of an almost fully stretched arm.
And one last question, did you try wearing plus contacts on? From my understanding the more one spends time focusing his eyes the more rapid his progress will be.
Thanks very much in advance for your feedback.

TO JANNA:
I didn't start taking glutathione for my eyesight, but as an overall anti-oxidant. I constantly switch brands, but always make sure it is the reduced form L-Glutathione (500mg) because this form gets absorbed easily by your body. Apparently glutathione is present in the eye's lens.

Another thing I have noticed is that the white part of my eye ball is now so much whiter. Some people report that it also makes your skin fairer, but as I already am extremely white, I don't see any difference :)
When you first start using plus glasses it IS very uncomfortable, but you will get used to it after a few tries. Maybe start out with a lower diopter and build it up gradually? But if you feel that this method is harming, please discontinue it. I am not forcing anyone to follow it, I only wanted to share what worked for me :)
Yes, I did use 3.00 (these were the strongest I could find OTC) contacts when I first started the experiment. Though, I must say, this was even more uncomfortable than wearing plus glasses. I felt that with the plus glasses, it was easier to take breaks (especially when you're only starting) and glasses worked best for me. Indeed, Janna, the more you will "practice", the faster you will notice improvement. The key is to stick to it, and this is difficult for many.
I hope I answered all your questions,
Charly

Charly,
thanks very much for your response.
Why did you get 3D contacts while early in the process? May be I miss something but I thought that one only needs offsetting diopters as strong as one's original ones to reverse the effect of the diopter one might already have on. That it if you wear daily contacts -3D, to do training you have to either take them off altogether or put on training glasses 3D to offset the contacts correcting effect. What do you think? So by this logic if wear none at all during the day, and I already have -1.5D to correct for with swaying and blinking then I might only want to add an extra 1 or 1.5D to still able to see something.
I tried to train with 2D glasses on and this time it went really well and I didn't feel any dizziness or much discomfort. So I have made resolution to stick to this method for at least a month and see what happens, plus will be taking the L-gluthatione of course (see perhaps you made an accidental breakthrough and I'll let you know on this)
Thanks again.

hi charly,
it was very heartening to read your post of getting out of -3D myopia with the help of plus lenses. i am trying this out for my child (9yrs)who is around the same in Diopters. when you started with did you take supplements along?
what are the other things that have helped you during this, and in all how long did it take you to get over that -3D. also what was your age when you started this therapy? what would your suggestion be...in terms of starting the therapy...he can read comfortably at a distance of around 11inches with the 2 glasses on.
thanks
best wishes

Namaste Zaaraa-ji,
I did not take supplements in the beginning. I only started them when I saw no further improvement with the plus-lenses. Your son is very young, he may have a nutritional deficiency. You could try the other suggested supplements first from other posts. I believe they are Chromium, vitamin D, cayenne. You could also try Zinc as it is abundant in the eye and a lot of people are deficient. Zind Picolinate is best absorbed. Zinc Gluconate is also OK. If it's not a nutritional deficiency, definitely try L-Glutathione! :)
Over all it took me 1.5 year to restore my vision. I am now 25.
You really have to see for yourself in terms of distance etc. Just make sure when your son is reading that it's a bit blurry. It's difficult and exhausting in the beginning (headaches eyes hurt). So don't overdo it! I put a piece of white tape on the floor. So, that's where I always stood. I also used a music stand to practice my vision. That way i could move it a little bit further every time I improved. This is also a good way to measure your improvement as you see the music stand going further and further away.
TO ANGEL from Sinking Spring, Pa:
I used to buy them in this store (called Schlecker) next to my house. They cost me 9 euro for 2 pairs of contacts (that's 4 contacts). Have you checked eBay? You can get cheap & good quality contacts on eBay. I have bought colored ones several times & never had a problem. :)
Keep practicing!

Hello Charlie, I really love natural therapies to get cured. One stupid mistake I made in July 2010 which I still regret is that I went through the laser eye surgery to correct my myopia which was -4 and -4.25 with -1.75 astigmatism in both. I really dont know where they went wrong or what they did to my eyes. Its been just more than 3 months and the vision is still not even close to 20/20. It is in fact gone from -4 to 1 and from -4.25 to .25 and from -1.75 astigmatism down to only -1.25 in both. Every other surgeon iv spoken to is not happy with this and all say that it is highly unlikely that this will get corrected on its own in fact the clinic people them self said to me after 4 weeks from the surgery that a correction might be required which made me helpless and went in depression and due to this stress I could see the scalp in just these 2 months which further broke my heart. Also because it affected my work totally, I now got made redundant from work. I desperately need to ask you if you think that once the cornea is stable which they say happens after 6 months from surgery, can I try to make my vision correct doing things the other way round. Please reply back as you have seen the results and you know much more than me in regards to this. Please feel free to email me as well on [email protected] Many thanks in advance and any advice will be very highly appreciated.

Many thanks to Charly for the detailed description. However, I accompished "plus lens" therapy by the less painful method of insisting that my last two prescription distance lenses be ground (or selected) 0.5 (or 0.25) diopters (weaker) than the doctor measured for maximum accuity. Similarly, I had him prescribe my reading lenses (separate monovision glasses) so that I could barely read the fine print on my usual computer monitor at about 3 1/2 feet and still read a book in hand. In just over a year my distance glasses went from about -3 diopters to about -1 diopter and my (corrected) vision is still 20/25 or better. Now, I can read my monitor comfortably with either pair of glasses.

Ted's Remedies
Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "I have a friend of mind who constantly gets myopia and was relieved of the condition taking chromium supplements. The ones I used here were chromium picolinate 200 mcg x 3 times a day or the ones I used MOST often is the chromium polynicotinate (more like chromium attached to the vitamin B3!) at about 200 mcg approximately. I am sure vitamin D deficiency is indicated and vitamin Ds I used here was 20,000 I.U. taken for a couple of days.
There is a background story I like to tell as to HOW I BECAME MYOPIC when I was in 4th and 5th grade. Things got worse in the 5th grade, so I know the general cause of it based on my observations. At the time I was not aware that eating certain foods can initiate a deficiency causing the myopia. And as a result, if the conditions were not treated at an early stages, the eye muscles responsible for focus control becomes atrophied.
When I was in the 4th grade, I attended Catholic school in Chicago, because facilities were lacking, I was eating foods wrapped in aluminum (bad) and began using fluoride toothpaste (on a bad recommedations from dentist) and I also ate plenty of sweets, which causes the body to deplete rather quickly of chromium. Chromium is a required mineral for the muscles in the eyes necessary for focus. However, my eyesight were getting not so good and had problems of some focusing, I did passed the eye exam. The Catholic school were more attentive to student's health. Then my parents decided to move me to Morris Elementary School, which was predominantly Hispanics, the area of the school lacked the sun, and the housing there was also dark. The darkness initiated a vitamin D deficiency which I have found much later in life through my observations that vitamin D is necessary for muscle growth. My muscles and build is improved with vitamin D and it is a well known fact that children become myopic in classrooms for the lack of sun.
Therefore a simply remedy is to reduce sugar, aluminum use, fluoride toothpaste. I would consider taking vitamin D 20,000 I.U. for a month with some magnesium (to balance the calcium:magnesium ratio) and take plenty of chromium supplements, in particular is the chromium polynicotinate 200 mg x 3 at the very least for a couple of weeks.
A person with a relatively weak myopia, if he is observant, should notice improvement within a couple of weeks. Other supplements that may help are amino acid supplements which are synergistic with chromium as well as some vitamin B complex which are synergistic with magnesium.
There are others, such as vanadium but the ones I mentioned here are the most important one. In case fluoride in drinking water or excess use, I might take a pinch (1/16 teaspoon) of borax to reduce the fluoride buildup, which seems play havoc with the body's coordination activities as it accumulates negatively in the pineal gland - which I think is as close to the master gland as it is the body's biological clock for all the major processes.
