Jennifer from Sunrise, FL said witch hazel and coconut oil. And I agreed with everything else she suggested: sitz baths, elevating feet for bowl movements, fiber, etc. Vit. E is also great.
IMO - you must eat fiber! I "make" black beans every few days by pouring boiling water into a thermos with 1/4 cup of dry beans. (Goodwill often has them cheap. ) It takes a good few hours and sometimes you need to dump water out and refill with more boiling water. Depends on amount of beans, size of thermos, and how good the thermos is. Experiment. If not done, just wait or add new water. Anyway. Very inexpensive and healthy. No waste as I only make enough for two days (and I don't eat them everyday - some days I eat a Kale mixture. ) I mix them with a little spag sauce and some spices and occasionally cheese - pretty tasty. I only eat a quarter cup of beans, so it's not a big amount. If I am not in the mood, I still eat it -like medicine.
With fistulas - until they go in to do the surgery, they can't be 100% sure it's a fistula. So, of course, I was "misdiagnosed". But that's my story. I guess both can be in different areas - maybe harder to treat areas. Good luck with your healing!
Some people are able to manage their flare ups with tea tree essential oil, applying it to the site or into one of the little cleft holes. It can burn so you can dilute it with a carrier oil such as mct oil or jojoba oil. Do not put it on an open wound! It is for the in between times when your skin has healed and you get that dreaded feeling of a storm brewing down there. A nice ointment to apply when it is open is calendula cream which will promote healing. Get some of those oversized bandaids and some gauze squares and put a little cream on the gauze to place over the open site.
I know someone who had a procedure done here in the U.S. where a general surgeon somehow inserted a small rubber tubing through the cyst then down and out through one of the sinus holes and sutured the ends of the tube so that it made a loop. He instructed the patient to flush water all around the site and tubing when showering. I think the tubing was to keep everything open and draining. The tubing was left in place for 4 to 6 weeks to allow everything to calm down and then it was removed. The site healed and that was that. I am sorry I do not know the name of this procedure.
When you have a flare up you really have no choice but to take the antibiotics. But taking the antibiotics throws you farther out of balance and it is tough to break the cycle.
Good health originates in the gut so let's start there. I suggest you get a few bottles of probiotic capsules and work up to taking them two or three times a day, rotating with different brands, and/or eating fermented foods with every meal; think condiment sized portions. You can find fermented pickles and sauerkraut in the refrigerated cases at the grocery store. There are many others such as miso, kefir, and kombucha.
The other thing that can really help improve digestion is adding bitters to your diet. There are many bitter foods or teas, or you can get liquid bitters, which are available in small spray bottles that are easy to carry with you. It is suggested that you put some of the bitter liquid on your tongue 20 minutes prior to a meal, but if you forget you can take them during or after your meal and some people even take them at bedtime. Best to take around your big meal. The bitters cause bile to be released and this will help you break down your fats. Read up on the benefits of digestive bitters, an old time remedy.
If you want to do even more you can get some digestive enzyme capsules to take with some of your meals. A lot of our foods today are really just food-like and can be difficult for the body to break down. These are especially helpful when you are eating away from home.
Another suggestion would be to take a supplement called serrapeptase, which is an enzyme that can break down cysts and promote healing. You need to take it when your stomach is empty or else it will work to break down the food in your system. If you can manage to take it three to four times per day it will work faster. This can be tricky. You could take it at bedtime and first thing in the morning, then wait an hour to eat. I have read that it can take up to three months before the first sign that it is working, so be patient. It is available in different concentrations so look into it and decide which might be best for your situation.
Maybe you have an active lifestyle already. If not, try to incorporate walking into your day, two miles at least five days a week. Movement improves digestion and gets your lymphatic system moving, which carries waste out of your body.
I have read a lot about this condition and do not know about colloidal silver resolving it. But I don't know everything and anything is possible. I think you have to get to the root cause, which I suspect might be a hormonal imbalance. I have found that any type of skin disorder tends to point to the gut, so that is a good place to start.
I am sorry you are having to go through this, but hang in there and things will get better in time.

From reading Teds remedies, I think MRSA, or Staph.
Reading through this chapter, if it were me, this would be my approach.
I would make 2 solutions, 1 cup Apple Cider vinegar 1 cup spring water, add 1 capful of Hydrogen peroxide. In a coffee can or a diaper wipe container, cut a paper towel roll in 1/2, put in container add liquid, you might need to double or triple the liquid as it depends on the absorbency of the paper towels. This is your cleaning solution. I would keep a different coffee can with lid under sink. to toss these wipes. they cannot be flushed.
Ted says chlorine bleach is an option, 1 part water, 1 part bleach. I am allergic to it and cannot use it.
I also might make Mama to Many's, charcoal poultice. See her video. To draw off the infection.
Teds further advice uses 100ppm Colloidal Silver.
You have had it for awhile, Teds internal recommendations, manganese and zinc. Organic baby ointment with zinc topically, maybe while you sleep might help.
Another good homemade ointment to use. Milk of Magnesia, with only 2 ingredients mag. and purified water, no flavoring. Pour a cup into a clean glass bottle. Add 2 tbsp castor oil. you could open a capsule or 2 of zinc in this mix. This stains it absorbs fairly quick then you could wipe away residue. Other ingredients that you might add, depending on the tenderness of the wound. Tummeric or Tea Tree Oil.

After a hot epsom salt bath one morning it burst on it's own and I went back to the surgeon for more follow-up. he prescribed more antibiotics, etc until the thing kept flaring up. I went in for a second surgery to see what was going on in there with the possibility of a fistulotomy. My surgeon said he cleaned out the hyper granulation tissue and found an enormous clump of ingrown hair within the wound bed that he removed. This time my wound was much bigger and began packing it all over again.
After 2 months my surgeon said stop packing it and let it heal everything is looking good when all of the sudden... it flared up again. I was able to push near the area and the exudate was bloody, thick, and stringy. My surgeon then said, "it's just not healing right because of the location.. there's nothing in there, " and sent me to a wound care specialist.
Since going to the wound care specialist and apply Biotine on gauze pads to the area 2-3 times a day the wound has SIGNIFICANTLY gone down in size, but once a week the area still flares up and I'm able to push and massage bloody stringy pus out of it in the shower--it seems to get better, and then returns with less severity every 1-2 weeks.
I feel like I have tried so many things including Tumeric pills, garlic pills, wild oregano pills... nothing stops the flare ups. I have been reading recently about colloidal silver and the benefits all across the spectrum of adding this as a supplement orally but that you can also apply it topically. I have not seen any "success stories" for perianal abscess wounds w/the possibility of it being a fistula or some freak ingrown hair on hairy Italian man using honestly.. ANYTHING except for traveling to India to get it treated there and that's out of the question. The time and money would bankrupt me. Is there anyone who has found relief without reoccurrance using colloidal silver as an option?

EC: It was the turmeric that helped, not the antibiotic.

I am so hoping to avoid surgery or lancing again. This is the third abscess I've had in three years (weirdly about exactly a year apart) and I am hoping to cure it with turmeric, oregano oil and colloidal silver. I was encouraged to find some success stories. If anyone has anything to add that helped them I would appreciate it.
