Addition to Art Solbrig's post about fatty liver disease:

On p. 320 of The Perfect Health Diet by Paul and SouChing Jaminet, hardcover ed. Dec 2012, it says, “Choline supplementation rapidly cured fatty liver disease. In a mere twelve days, supplemental choline can reduce liver fat from 15 percent to 4 percent.”

There are footnotes but you have to access them online. Notes may be found at www.perfecthealthdiet.com/notes/#Ch35. The note referenced is note 20.

  • Chapter 35 is about choline and folic acid. Most people should get choline from three egg yolks a day and liver once a week.

I believe I had read about choline as well in one of Robert Atkins's books.

I followed Ted's advice and took Choline, or you can take Lecithin, and my fatty liver marker disappeared after a 6month blood test. My cholesterol went down by 1 in 6 months and the Dr was so surprised he asked me what medication I was taking, he had never seen that in his 24yrs of practice, when I told him he didn't seem impressed, not a fan of natural medicine, thought it was down to food and exercise and just encouraged me to keep doing 'whatever' it was that I was doing lol... I didn't change my diet or do any exercise, so it is worth a shot.
