Definitely YEA, because I was diagnosed with a 6mm kidney stone which they said was borderline for treatment. So they sent me home after giving me a pain killing jab. At home , in desperation I found earth clinic and this cure And took two doses of the 2oz lemon/olive oil on 2 consecutive days.

I found that this immediately stopped the pain so that all I felt was pressure and discomfort. After a couple of weeks that went too.

Now, 8 weeks later , I have just been for X-ray and the doctor was astounded that it was gone, but also that I had not passed it . The lemon and olive oil must have somehow dissolved it! In his disbelief he is sending me for a CT scan to make sure its gone, but I know it has because I have no symptoms at all .

Earth clinic is a fab idea. I am now going to try some of the hot flash cures too!

My journey began over 4 months ago. On vacation I ended up in the er with my first stone 8mm. After cutting my vacation short I returned home to see the urologist . He informed that the odds were against me passing the rock but it is safe to give it a try. Fresh squeezed lemons as much as I could stand and buckets of water. My pain was at a minimum most of the time. 2 months later and 2 x rays the stone was gone. The urologist said I had to know I passed something that big but I did not. I thought that was its end of my ks saga but no not yet. 6 weeks later back in the er with a ct scan and what they said was 11mm stone that was hidden. Urologist wanted another kub that showed a 8mm stone , the same stone, he said. I began the apple cider vinegar twice a day for 3 days. Then tried lemon and olive oil for 2 days and was preparing to have it blasted with lithotripsy on Monday. I felt like I was being rushed through the entire process so I canceled the litho and got a second opinion. Now after a ultra sound I was informed that I am stone free. My new urologist assured me that none of the home remedies would help but I passed a 8mm stone on my own. Still don't know when I passed the bastard and I don't care. Thank God it's over. 4 months and 2 weeks 6 kub's 1 ct scan and 1 ultra sound. 48 hours away from a procedure I didn't need. Get a second opinion. It saved me from unnecessary surgery and stress. Keep the faith.

I stumbled across this site after returning home from the emergency room the other day diagnosed with a 3.6 mm kidney stone. I was not even searching for home remedies, I was searching for an image of what the stone might look like. Thank God for Earth Clinic! I tried the lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil remedy at 5pm the day after returning home from the ER. The stone passed WITHOUT ANY PAIN at 1pm the following day. Am going to search this site for some other ailments that have been troubling me. Thank you Earth Clinic!

IT WORKED!!!

I drank 2 oz lemon juice mixed with 2 oz olive oil. Then went to the Urgent Care for them to do a urinalysis in case it was a UTI (which my doctor's office recommended) because it was the end of the day .

The Urgent care doctor's assistant argued with me and told me I did NOT belong there, but I should be at the ER. I nicely told her I was trying the lemon juice with oil treatment to see if it would pass on it's now. Again she told me I should NOT be seeing the doctor there. She was not very nice about it. But finally came back with the doctor.

The doctor then told me she would not prescribe pain meds when I SHOULD be in the ER so they could do a CT scan to see how big the stone was. I told her about reading about the lemon juice and and oil and they both looked at me like I was going to wave a magic wand over myself. I told her nicely, that I was doing what my doctor's office recommended, and that they felt I could try it my way for a few hours, if I could tolorate the pain.

They both did everything but roll their eyes and told me they worried about me being septic, and how fast that can move. I assured them I would be back if I ran a temp. Or was in great pain. And they said, "So you'll end up in the ER anyway, so why not go now?"

Grrr. I did the urine and it came back with blood and they said, you do have a kidney stone. And they said since my episode started out with diarrhea, that was very abnormal (yet I've read that it happens that way with a lot of people! ).

ANYWAY, I drank the second glass, took more Naproxin, and went to sleep. Wokr up in the very next morning, passed the stone... Felt it. It was a one second, Yikes, moment. When I pulled it from the jar, it broke into 7 pieces in my hand. It was bigger than the 6mm stone I had last year!

I am SO happy! I will use the lemon juice any time I do this again. This is my second round with a kidney stone. The incident last year, involved an eventual UTI, two ER visits, a reaction to pain meds, a 12 hour hospital stay, and a 5 day wait for a blasting machine.

Happy, in Seattle!

I've been having kidney stone pain for just over a week. I'd have good and bad days. Last night and today were pretty terrible, not gonna lie. Well, I tried a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and that did help with the pain, but I was still miserable from the pressure so I tried the 2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice mixed with 2 oz organic extra virgin olive oil. I ate it with a spoon. It tastes like lemon juice - totally not gross or anything! I KID YOU NOT, within one hour I passed a stone that was 1/2" long and 1/4" wide! Without pain. Not making this up. Still a little shocked! There may be more, so I'm going to keep using this amazing remedy for a day or two. I love earth clinic!!!

I passed a kidney stone in 1990. A couple of weeks ago, I had similar pain and was diagosed with a 5mm stone in my right kidney. The ER doctor had a urologist take a look and he prescribed Flomax. I took it for a week and saw him in his office, where he found two more small stones in my left kidney. The 5mm stone had moved down to what I guess is just above my bladder. From reading this site, that seems like a common spot for them to get stuck for a while. The doctor didn't want to talk about cause or prevention. He just wanted to go in through my penis, grab it and drag it out, and leave a stent behind.

I scheduled the surgery but I felt like I had been sold a used car that I didn't want. The next day I cancelled the surgery and started taking chanca piedra, olive oil and lemons, and apple cider vinegar and apple juice in addition to still continuing to take the Flomax and lots of water.

I just passed the stone - 6 days later. Thanks so much for this site. I guess they would say that the Flomax worked, but I think the other things helped.

The dosage was two droppers of Break Stone from Amazon.com (chanca piedra and a couple of other things) in 1 cup of water twice a day, 2 oz. olive oil and 2 oz. lemon juice twice a day, and 2 oz. apple cider vinegar with the mother and 4 oz. Apple juice twice a day. I meant to take them three times a day, but things got in the way. The lemons cause nasty diarrhea so I couldn't take it unless I was close to a bathroom. And I get heartburn at night if I'm not careful, so I didn't take anything harsh like apple cider vinegar just before bedtime.

Once again, thanks so much for this website. I joke that it's folk medicine, but when the professionals are dismissive they leave us no choice but to try to get advice from real people on sites like this one.

Now I just need to figure out what to take to get rid of the two on my left side and adjust my diet to prevent them from happening again. I should add that I had been following the paleo diet for two months and from what I read in "No More Kidney Stones" I think this high-protein, fruit and vegetable (high oxalate) diet caused them.

Lemon Juice and Olive Oil for Kidney Stones: I can say this really worked! Had an ER visit and CT scan and they informed me my left kidney stone (3mm), passed but still show another possible 3mm stone in right kidney. This would total 4 for me in a 3 year timeframe. Was at home 3 weeks later and felt the wonderful pain again. Took (1) Ketoprofen 75 mg 1 hydrocodone/acetaminophen5-325 TB thinking the pain could be bearable for what was coming... Three hours later, pain still pulsating and no results I read this topic online. Mixed 2 ounces of pure lemon squeezed juice by hand and 2 ounces of olive oil (not even virgin etc. ). In 15 minutes the stone came out of my body. I'm a beliver if this and was trully amazed. Thank you!

Lemon Juice and Olive Oil: Found this remedy to help my Mother. It really does work! Her pain was excruciating with blood in her urine. I believe it had reached her urethra by this point and searched for a remedy to help her. This recipe actually works and I am amazed! She passed the stone within a few hours. Her pain level is now around a 6 with no meds and only on her right side now. We think she may have another. She has definitely improved within a few hours of drinking it. The concotion doesn't taste half bad either. After all isn't this recipe used in salad dressing? Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for posting your experience and advice regarding this recipe. We believe she will recover soon with your help.

I found this website after suffering from kidney stones since dec 26 2012. Today is feb 14 2013. I was in so much pain and could barely function. I had a 4 mm stone between my kidney and bladder in my ureter. I tried taking flomax my doctor gave me which did nothing. I read all the posts on the site and decided I had nothing to lose. I did the lemon and olive oil. I drank apple cider vinegar numerous times a day and I took capsules filled with chanca piedra. My stone came out 3 days after trying these remedies. I thank everyone who posted their experiences. I was really not a believer but I stuck to it and here I am, feeling just as I did the day before dec 26. Stick to it. It will all be worth it :)

I wanted to share that I did pass the kidney stone after drinking the lemon juice and olive oil. It took about 24 hours and obviously could have passed it anyway. I will say that I fished the stone out and took it to my Dr. who said it was the largest stone he had seen that was passed "naturally". I hope I never will have another, but having them about every 12-15 months for the last 5-6 years, who knows. I will use the juice and oil again if there is a next time.

I found this site a couple of months ago when suffering for the third time with kidney stones. I did not want to go through surgery again. I had just had an ultrasound and had been informed I had two medium (7mm) stones in one kidney and a large one (14mm) in the other.

The consultant told me I'd have to have surgery again and ordered a CT scan, which took place about a month after the the ultrasound. In the meantime, as soon as I read the remedies here, I immediately drank a glass of olive oil and lemon juice. An hour later I felt really ill and almost vomited, so I didn't try it again. Instead I started drinking ACV once a day, and kept this up most days for a few weeks.

Today I saw the consultant about the results of the CT scan, and he told me the stones are gone! There is just a small 2mm stone in one kidney, too small to worry about, he said.

Thank you so much for the remedies, you've saved me from a gruesome op!!

As a note of advice, don't try LJ and OO on an empty stomach! Take it after food only.

Thank you, thank you, thank you... Everyone of you... For the information you so gladly post on this site!!! I am new to the entire field of "kidney stones" and must say I do not like them one bit! A few days ago, I noticed slight pain around my lower back on the left side. It wasn't too bad but noticeble to be irritating. I didn't give much thought to it and after approx. 15 min. or so, it went away. I noticed it again a few hours later but the mild pain went away again.

At about 4:30am, I woke to use the bathroom and noticed the pain had come back but increased a little. After stretching, rubbing, and massaging, it seemed to still linger over the next 1/2 hr or so but slightly built up as the minutes ticked by. By 6am I was rocking on all fours on the floor, then to the bed, then back to the floor just trying to ease the pain a little. I could no longer take it and decided to have my wife take me to the ER. There, I was diagnosed with having "the stones". I recall having the desire to punch my physician in the throat for "thumping" my kidney with a fist in order to determine my response and confirm the symtoms of having kidney stones. From the squirming I was doing and the combination of noises I was making and the expressions on my face, I felt the thumping was not necessary. I always had this suspicion that doctors do things intentionally to laugh and joke about later... Anyway, I was more than upset to say the least.

My nurse had given me 3 doses of Morphine to decrease the torture I was going thru but to no avail. I was twisting back and forth in agony and could only moan in my pillow for some semblance of relief. I was finally given an IV Drip of Dolobid (10 times stronger than Vicoden I'm told) and a button to push every 10 min. in order to release and self administer another dose. I was woozy and light headed but delusionally happy and could now endure the excrutiating pain which seemed to slowly drift away until I felt almost nothing.

I have a high tolerance for pain and have had some terrible experiences with "what I thought" was painful but this pain not just took the cake... It blew the cake into pieces...! I was admitted and remained for 2 1/2 days until I could deal with a tolerable degree of pain while on pain meds at home while waiting for these nasty buggers to pass. I talked to one of the male nurses in order to mentally prepare myself for what to expect and I was glad to learn that he had dealt with stones before. Taking the opportunity to learn from an "experienced stone sufferer", I thought to ask questions about what to expect. I was told that there was no pain quite like it. He told me about one patient who didn't know they had stones until they went to pee in an alley behind a bar one day, and while passing a stone, he felt like digging his hands into the bricks and picking the building up and slamming into the ground until it was out..... That's when I decided to go online to seek out help on how to pass them "smoothly" and avoid ripping my toilet from the floor in the process. I had been diagnosed as having 3 stones in my left kidney with one of them recently breaking off and preparing to make its way out.

I now thank God for you guys... I first learned about drinking a glass of fresh lemon juice, followed by a glass of water and 1oz of lemon juice each hr for the next 12 hrs. I did this and a small stone the size of a pin head came out a few hours later.. And with no pain. I was amazed at how this tiny little thing could cause so much irritation and agony just a few hours earlier. I then experienced a stone getting lodged about 2 inches inside my penis a few days later. It felt like I was "peeing" a glass shard.

I went back online and found the lemon and olive oil combination. Almost immediately after drinking it, the pain subsided and became bearable. It doesn't hurt to pee but it does hurt like a monkey when brushed up against anything. I am wondering if the olive oil will make this stone, which seems to have a jagged edge, smoother to expel even though it is caught in the shaft. I am anxious to write back to notify you all of the outcome. Until then, do take care and happy expelling...

felt crappy for a week, then started xperiencing serious pains in my kidneys. had kidney stones many years ago, so was familiar with the pain. wife was out of town, really didn't want to go to the hospital, drop the kids on someone in the middle of the night, so I started searching and found this site. drank lemon juice and olive oil at four in the morning, wokeup pain free, with some residual aches. a day and a half later, felt another stone working it's way down, continued with the concoction, so far feeling great. will continue as needed. thank you so much for this information!

Spent the weekend in the ER with excruciating abdominal pain - the day a routine colonoscopy. CAT scan and cause turned out to be.. You guessed it.. a 4mm kidney stone.

I suspect that the colonoscopy preparation pills: OsmoPrep (Sodium Phosphate) may be related to this stone since a work colleague had the exact same issue a month ago with same pills. Beware!!

Anyway, I suffered in total agony for two days. All the docs could offer up was Oxycodone painkiller (awful and somewhat ineffective) and sit it out for a "week or so". Clearly not an option plus I have a busy job and could not be out of the office that long. Since I used to be a research scientist I decided to use the web for some ideas on remedies.

Ended up on this site. Based on reading all the posts it seems that of the 5 types of kidney stone three of the most common are dissolvable by acidifying the urine so I decided to try the Olive Oil and Lemon Juice remedy (Apple Cider vinegar was just too much for me to handle - it's like drinking paint stripper). No downside except throwing up or stopping if the pain got worse (I guess it might if you have stones that dissolve in alkaline urine)

Somewhat skeptical, but I bought the most expensive virgin olive oil I could find (which tastes OK in bulk actually) and then dosed myself with 4oz Olive Oil stirred vigorously into 4oz of pure lemon juice (bottled). Based on what I have read elsewhere I think the olive oil lipids coat the lemon juice and get it through the stomach acid and into the small intestine where it is adsorbed very rapidly - which may explain the speed of what came later...

You have to chug it down immediately after mixing before the oil and juice separate - a blender might be a good idea - and I chased it with a very large glass of water without pausing to taste the mixture. Don't stop to think about it just chug it down and think about something else.

Then - MIRACLE - pain went from a 10 (bad) to a 1 (minimal) within 10 minutes. I could not believe it. I never needed a painkiller thereafter.

I repeated the dose after a couple of hours and then a third dose just before going to bed around 4 hours after that. I guess there is some upper limit to what you can take but you probably throw up or something. Anyway, only mild discomfort in the morning.

Repeated the dose three times on day two and urinated through a plastic tea strainer throughout to watch for dissolved stone fragments as other posters recommend. At the end of day two I got a small sliver of what I assume to be a partially dissolved kidey stone about 4mm by 0.5mm in the strainer but no other solid material passed that day or later.

Day three back to work and feel as good as new. UNBELIEVABLE. My doc couldn't believe it - but they took the fragment and are going to test it to see which type of kidney stone it was. I am thinking calcium oxalate. Here are two really good sources for kidney stone information:
