Iodine for Paronychia

Twice I have had the severe, extremely painful infection of the skin near the nail, called paronychia. I could find no natural remedies online and saw that it can be a dangerous if it spreads to the bloodstream or bones, so I was a bit scared. Especially as these infections can last for months. Then, under the suggestion of my 80 year old aunt, I soaked the area in iodine and covered it with an iodine soaked bandaid as well. It was totally gone within a couple of days both times!! I was so happy and impressed with this remedy. It also caused a very thick layer of stained skin to harden and come right off where the infection was which fine with me, just happy the infection is gone!

What worked for me for paronychia, was applying a drop or two of plain 3% h2o2, several times a day.
