Several months ago I went to the ER because I was having chest pains and some stomache problems. I thought that the chest pain was causing the stomache problem but had it backwards. I was diagnosed with a peptic ulcer, probably due to a poor diet. The ER doctor, and later, my family doctor recommended and prescribed Protonix. I was told to take one pill per day on an empty stomache for "at least" 4 months and I would be healed. I changed my diet and noticed that the prescription made a big difference within 3 days. I continued taking the medicine for 6 weeks without any further (noticeable) improvement. I still suffered from acid reflux and upset stomache and could still only eat health food. 'One of my friends did some research and believed that the prescription would not heal me and recommended Mother Apple Cider Vinegar. I read many of the stories on this site and decided to try it. I drank the equivalent of at least 6-8 un-diluted tablespoons of ACV 3 times per day for 10 days and have not had any other problems. I also magnetized filtered tap water to adjust my ph level because I was producing too much stomache acid. I could eat and drink whatever I wanted afterwards but didn't over indulge in junk food anymore. It has been over 3 months and I have not taken any more pills. I keep a bottle of ACV in the cabinet in case of Acid Reflux flare ups. I recall hearing someone say that the profit is in the treatment....not the cure!
