Hi, just stumbled onto this site. Interesting readings, can borax help with my FMF (familial mediterranean fever).
If so what dosage and frequency would be safe. I have been a suffere of this for a very long time and find it very hard to manage just with colchicine.
Kindest Regards, Hunz

I have had this horrible pain from
Proctalgia fugax (or levator syndrome) for many years now! Just about every time after sex and it often times woke me up at night. I would get in the tub for 1/2 an hour with hot hot water. The pain was so intense I at one time passed out! Quite by accident I found out that by going on high doses of vitamin C the cramps never came back! Happy Day!
I now take a couple vitamin c a day!

Thank you Prioris....I suspected there isn't much that can be done....I was more thinking along the lines of trying to see if there was any way I can help to make her life easier at this point of time. Thank you again....

Very sorry to hear about the very poor health of your friend. Using chemo for any condition is a no no. In my view, the doctors are using chemo to milk her for financial gain. Not a good situation. It is water under the bridge.
I don't know what can be done. Losing 9 inches in height would suggest severe nutrient depletion. Amylodosis seems to be a murky health condition to research also.
Chemo and medications complicate matters also so requires more expertise. I would suggest you find an "alternative health consultant" who deals with cancer and understands the conventional treatment aspects also. Some you can find on cancure.org. You have to do an internet search beyond that. Maybe they can suggest some course of action you can take.
Searching out things to ease her situation may be all you can do. Showing your friend love during this period would be the other thing. Sorry I can't offer more help.
