Shaving bumps can best be avoided by cleaning the razor blades with alcohol using cotton swabs or at least very hot water, soap, using an old toothbrush to clean out the debris which collects on the blades and between them.

It is this debris and old soap which provides the breeding ground for germs to proliferate.

Then when you save, the germs infect the skin which is abraded microscopically.

Try it, it works. I have suggested this to men who get bumps after shaving and their problem was solved by cleaning and drying their razors.
