re: Rheumatoid Arthritis Remedies: I just had one session of acupuncture with a sefu who lives in the area. It was AMAZING. I feel better than I have in months and he was telling me about problems I have had for years, but hadn't even mentioned to him. I am highly against medication, and I was willing to try pretty much any alternative. I think if I have one or two more sessions with him, I will be completely pain free.

I would like any help I can get from someone who has found relief for RA ( other than prescriptions). Any suggestions would be great. I have tried 2 Tbs AVC-1 tsp honey-1/8 tsp of BS, have been doing this for 2 months, added lemon juice 2 days before the 1st flare and continued with it until the 2nd flar 5 days later so stopped the lemon juice. Stopped taking meds 4 weeks ago and have had 2 flare ups, oddly they are both in the same shoulder and last longer than the 24 hrs.. Never had that happen before, it always moves to another joint. I did find a little info from Ted to someone, so I went and got powdered or granulated MSM, Mag citrate, and sodium ascorbate. Pain is still there but am ablr to move it enough to continue working. I did purchase the castor oil pack but haven't tried yet. Does this work for RA pain? I just wanted you all to know a friend told me of this site, so we both started doing some of these things together. I also have told a people to check out your site. I do alot of what has been suggested here. So far I love every thing I've tried and when I go back to doing other things like using soap...YUCK. makes your skin feel really sticky or it has a film on it. I also find oil pulling very relaxing. Thank you all for your in put and suggestions and really enjoy reading on this site.

ALCAT Blood Test

I tried turmeric, sour cherry juice, sardines and papaya for Rhuematoid Arthritis. Only to make me worse. I took a blood test called ALCAT which tested my blood against foods, oils, protein, nuts, dairy, wheat and additives. I found out all the above items caused inflammation response on my blood. I received the list of foods and only ate the ones on my list I had no sensitivity to. This helped me tremendously. You can ask your doctor or search the internet. It will not cure you but reduce the inflammation. I keep trying to reduce my stress and continue to nourish my body and try to heal it. I have lost my marriage, house and job. It has been a journey for me. I wish everyone health and good journey.

Apple cider vinegar (organic with the "mother") and getting back to walking worked for me. You have to drink 1 to 2 Tbsp. a day or your pain will come back and daily walking also a must. I'm recently diagnosed with arthritis, knee tear and after finally sticking with the ACV and getting back to walking I am feeling great. We've got to keep moving.

Hey Guys, You are my last hope. I'm 32 and just diagnosed with RA and I have been doing the ACV thing and it's awesome and I can get out of bed with less and less pain. (I am also on a host of other supplements). This is my 2nd flare and I have run the gammut on the traveling joint pain. That has pretty much subsided except for extreme pain in my middle finger. I also have swelling issues with my right hand eg. base of thumb, pointer became swollen at the same time about 3 wks ago. Today I just noticed that my middle finger looks like it could be in the baby stage of swelling like my pointer finger and I'm scared it's going to swell up. I have been working to get my pointer finger down and now it looks like the middle finger is going to swell along with the pinky. My wrist has a lil swelling also. I have been on this protocol for five days and I realize that is not a long time but I am in the dark right now.
Does ACV get rid of swelling or am I just setting myself up for permanent joint damage? I was on another site and they just kept saying take the drugs, take the drugs! And I don't want take the drugs but I also don't want permenent joint damage, hands that are permanently twisted and lumpy (cause they are a lil lumpy now, a lil) and I also don't want my other organs to get involved. What am I doing? I wouldn't be here this sane and pain free w/o ACV, it has been a miracle worker so far but WILL THE PRE-EXISTENT SWELLING EVER GO DOWN AND WILL NEW SWELLING EVER STOP??? ANYONE OUT THERE, PLEASE RESPOND! I AM ON THE CUSP OF GETTING MEDS AND I DON'T REALLY WANT TO. THANK YOU

My parents gave me the ACV/water and honey when I was very young as it had been recommended to them as a treatment for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I cannot remember what the results were, however, luckily I grew out of R Arthritis. I did receive other medical treatment.
At 56, I have just started ACV and water again as I suspect there could be Arthritis present, judging from some sore joints in hands. It's like a 'flash back'. I hated it as a kid but now don't mind it and hope to keep my system more alkaline.
I will report any noticable improvement.

Hello I was diagnosed with RA when I was about 35 years old. Over the last 11 years I've gone from walking and running to barely walking. A little over a month ago I found this site and decided to try the ACV. Now not being able to exercise I gained about 50 some pounds in 11 years. Since I've started taking ACV I have noticed that the RA has lightened up A little, But to be honest I missed a couple days of taking it, while in the hospital. Now normally, I eat pretty well and have had no problem with that. But when they weighed me at the hospital, I found that in the last month I have lost over 30 pounds without even trying. Now I have tried to loss this weight before on diets with no success. Now I'm just starting to notice that I am losing my appetite. So I'm not eating as much now. What a nice side effect to losing the pain of RA. My doctor has been after to lose weight over the last couple of years. Can't wait to see his face and tell him what I've been doing. I think he's gonna be shocked, I know that I was. Thanks Kurt

My husband was diagnosed with rheumatoid Arthritis 6 months ago and started on Prescribed Medication then they decided he had high blood pressure and trouble sleeping and that made him depressed so he was given Mood Elevators... More Meds. Now 5 months later on 5 meds and his sholder and wrist still ached bad But doctors told him just keep taking the pills. After taking Apple Cider Vinigar for 2 days he lifted his hand above his head several times after the third day he is moving his wrist that has not moved in a long time. Its been a week and he takes it 3 times a day. He had been bald since his 20's and we are seeing hair growing back. He started on the BSM today and we can't wait to see the results. thank God for web sites like this one. We understand that he is only supposed to take the AC Vinigar for about 2 weeks then stop does anyone know if this is true? When can you start again? He takes 2 teasp of just plain Apple Cider vinegar with a Tea of honey and about 4 to 6 oz. of water (Cold tastes best) Doris

I have been on ACV for 3weeks (2tsp 3 times a day in 1,5 l water) and have found it has not benefited me with my arthritis. I have applied it on my ankle in 50/50 ACV and water solution and it relieved the pain but for 10-15min only!!! My arthritic pain has gone worse. Is this natural in the beginning of taking it? I was diagnosed with sero-negative arthritis 7 months ago and I am university student. I am finding it difficult dealing with this disease. Can anyone help me?

I was diagnosed with RA at the age of 29. I am now 65 and have not had many flare ups until the last few months. Then, it started acting up in my right knee and hip. For almost 2 weeks I could hardly walk without help, and, could not even lie, much left sleep, on my right side. Then, I made a long trip driving my husband's pickup truck. When I returned from the trip, after about 2 days both my wrists hurt so bad I could barely function. I used wrist bands, Arthritis Bengay, I was desperate.
Then I found this site while I was searching for natural cures. I started using ACV, mixed with water and honey, about 2 weeks ago. I have been using the store brand from where I shop, it is 5%. I am totally amazed with the results. Almost NO pain, in my knee, hip or wrists!! I can even sleep on my right side!!
I will take Ted's advice about using the baking soda as I have had a little burning in the tummy, but, it's worth it to be able to sit here and type, lift, move, without pain in my wrists. I have also lost about 5 pounds. My goal there is 15 more. I will continue my ACV regimen, am trying to get my husband to try it and haven't succeeded as of this date. Thank you for this web site!!!

I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis 14 years ago. My grandmother told me about ACV and the many ways it could help arthritis, sleeping problems and stomach problems. I take 1 tbsp. once daily with just water and all of my physicals for the SLE & RA have come back great. I have no deformity in my joints and have not had a flare up in over 7 years. I also had several bleeding ulcers & was having to take daily stool samples to my doctor, but my physical showed scarring but no ulcers. I also use ACV as a toner for my face and my pores are smaller and my age spots are nearly invisible. I have printed out several pages of literature on ACV and have over 20 friends on this daily regimen and all of them can tell the difference and have been taken off their medications for their illnesses from arthritis to high blood pressure & cholesterol. I am a 48 year old grandmother that works with a younger market and I work circles around all of them. ACV helped me with my SLE, RA, Ulcers, Chronic Fatigue, Crohn's Disease and IBS. I had a sister die from SLE and normal life expectancy is 10 years and I am going on 15 years after my diagnosis.

I was diagnosed with Rhumathoid Arthritis at 11. At 18 (and it a lot of pain) I was given a book on curing arthritis naturally and set about doing it. One of the main proponents of the book was Apple Cider Vinegar. I took a cocktail of 2 teaspoons ACV, 1 teaspoon honey and 8 oz hot water twice a day. Within 2 or 3 weeks the flareups had ceased. It should be noted I also cut back on red meat and citric acids (they are everywhere!)which I discovered were a major trigger for me. And I took epsom salt baths twice a week. When I went back to my dr and had blood tests done my RA factor was down to a 2. (I have no idea what it was before but I am pretty sure 2 is almost nothing!) That was 25 years ago. I still have RA technically but I rarely have a problem with it. The first inkling I get that its sneaking back up on me I go back to the ACV. I still avoid my trigger food which have come to include, believe it or not, green beans. I believe trigger foods are different for everyone - only you can figure out what they are. I have not been on meds or seen a rhumatologist (sp?) in all that time. Thank god for ACV. Only for it I would be a cripple now instead of living the very full life that I do. I have to say that it makes me so mad that there is a very simple cure for RA and the medical world is not out there shouting about it. So many people suffer needlessly with this disease. If you have RA you owe it to yourself to go out there and find out what works for you. Find your triggers, try ACV, read all you can on natural cures. There is no magic pill - but there is a way and its all in your own hands. Goodluck and Good Health.

2 tsp honey, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar in 8 to 16 ounces of water 3 times a day cured my arthritis, back pain and allergies. I was in so much pain for many many years with severe back problems, and then 2 years ago was diagnosed with rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. The dr. prescribed steroids, and 2 different immuno suppresant drugs and the side effects were horrible. I could hardly get out of bed in the morning, my joints and muscles hurt so bad, i also have fibromyalgia. I started this regimen about a month ago and saw immediate results. My hay fever has cleared up also. My sinuses are dry, usually I always have a bad post nasal drip problem. I feel more energized, and my body just feels good, like it is getting what it needs.

I make a tea two or three times a day I put three tablespoons of ACV in a cup of hot water and one tablespoon of honey.
