Quite by accident, my wife told me I had bad breath and I searched for a remedy on the Internet. The solution I found was a 50/50 solution of household hydrogen peroxide with distilled or filtered water and to gargle continuously for one to one and a half minutes.
The explanation for this mixture was that the odor causing bacteria in the mouth could not tolerate oxygen and by using this remedy it killed the bacteria. It did not eliminate it, but eliminated enough of the bacteria between treatments that you could go most of the day without experiencing bad breath. What happened to my amazement is that my rosacea disappeared. I can only speculate that like taking sub lingual B-12 vitamins, you get greater amounts of the vitamin by absorption under the tongue. I am assuming that whatever causes rocasea is some form of bacteria or other organism that cannot tolerate oxygen and my gargling with the hydrogen peroxide solution eliminated whatever was causing my rosacea. I hope this helps someone else in healing this terrible problem.

Denny, wow that is amazing story. You wouldnt think that ur mouth and bad breath had something to do with rosacea. I wonder if dentist know this or even doctors. So ur saying ur rosacea completely went away? Or do u still break out? So how long did u do this before u noticed any improvement? Thank u... Mel.

Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, Tea Tree Oil
★★★★☆
I tried them all as well as Borax which I did only once because of my skin sensitivity.
anyway, whatever i had been doing worked!. redness has gone and also the cystic pimples. no flushing, a few patches of dry skin are still on my forehead but it could my usual eczema.
I wash my face everyday with water and hydrogen peroxide diluted in the water. every other day i'll add tea tree oil into the water. when my face is still wet, i'll put Eucerin (heavy cream) on. I also use an acne lamp for about 20 min each night.
i think the hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil had been a great help.
i also drink water with baking soda almost everyday.

My friend was obsessed with finding a cure for Rosacea. And spent tons of money on docs, and products with no resolve. So here is a wonderful natural inexpensive solution for Rosacea, Get a small glass bowl and mix the baking soda & hydrogen peroxide into the bowl to form a paste. Get some of those cosmetic cotton pads and gently rub the baking soda & hydrogen peroxide paste on your entire face like a mask, let sit for a few minutes then rinse off with cool water. Do this twice a day for 10 day and evalute.

oops I forgot to mention when my friend came up with this method she kept the the paste on her face overnight for the first few nights and rinsed in off in the shower first thing in the morning.
Listerine Original
★★★★★
I accidentally discovered the use of Listerine Original (the yellow one) for rosacea when I rinsed my mouth with Listerine for the first time. It wasn't even touching my cheeks and was just inside my mouth, but I could feel all the demodex run away from my cheeks en masse, over my nose and up to my eyebrows. I'd never felt anything like it before, that's when I realized it wasn't a skin problem but an infestation. So once a week I would put Listerine Original on my cheeks and it was like a miracle, the redness would disappear for that day including the new skin blemish that had just formed. It was like an eraser, that's how fast it worked. I haven't used it everyday, I treated it more like makeup than a cure, but I imagine if I did, I'd be cured of rosacea. Of course, you'd have to treat it like lice, and wash every blanket and pillow, sofa, etc., any fabric you come into contact with everyday until you were cured. Maybe also work your gut health for good measure with lots of prebiotics and probiotics since a lot of people are now saying rosacea might just be a symptom of leaky gut.
The only thing I'd say to watch out for is, for example, when I put the yellow listerine on my cheeks the demodex would run up to my eyebrows and eyelashes so maybe put it on your whole face so they can't get away. Maybe put like a circle of listerine around your eyes first so they can't get past the circle. Also watch out for your hands I got some on my left hand index finger and the finger by it.
I looked a little into Listerine, and apparently, before it was marketed as a mouthwash, it was originally used to clean a body area before it was cut open to operate on.
I wanted to share this on here, because I scoured the internet and couldn't find anybody else mentioning this, so it's truly something new I discovered and it's cheap and easy to get and it WORKS.
Lysine, Vitamin C, Apple Cider Vinegar, Vaseline
★★★★★
So far, so good, and I wanted to share what I am doing.
1).I am taking 4-5 lysine 1000 mg.tablets daily (2-3 a.m. & p.m.) along with several grams of vitamin C daily
2). After washing with a mild facial cleanser morning & evening, I follow with a ACV straight out of the bottle all over the affected areas applied with a cotton ball.
3) After 5 minutes, I rinse off the ACV, pat dry, and apply vaseline all over my face & neck. The results have been amazing! I don't know this for fact, but IF rosacea is caused by mites, I think that the vaseline may smother them, but I'd love to hear Ted's thoughts on this. As heavy as vaseline is, at night on rosacea-ravaged skin it is soothing and nicely absorbed, and you may be able to go a little lighter in the morning. This has been a godsend for me, and I would love to know if anyone else tries it and what their results are. I will post an update after awhile to see if I remain clear.

I would like to add that vaseline may not be good for everyone as I did the same mistake and then was told by my doctor that vaseline can in fact block the pores and may aggravate the problem. Instead, he asked me to use another cream to treat the flakes on my facial skin which has resulted from Rosacea and Seborrheic Dermatitis. I will try though Borax treatment and hopefully rid myself of this condition. Thanks to all the people who are helping others with their comments and experiences.

Reply for Diane You did the right thing by your choice of remedies for your rosecea. Just this month, i had the same issue on my face and neck my remedy was 50 % hydrogen peroxide and 50 % ACV. The next morning its all gone as if nothing appeared.

I completely agree. I am in my early 20s and I have mild rosacea along with some acne. For years in my teens I was using conventional face products like Oil of Olay and my skin was dry and of course acneic. I've read in a few places that when your skin is properly hydrated it is less susceptible to acne causing bacteria. My face was so bad a few months ago (inflamed, lots of minor acne scars, texture was very thick and I got those big under the surface pimples) that I actually considered going back to conventional makeup to hide my face. I swept up drug store samples of everything and went to Holts for the high end stuff. It looked awful on my face and my face was even worse. I was reacting to everything left and right. The natural moisturizers I'd been using just weren't cutting it. I did a lot of research and was just short of making my own, but I found that a few companies provided the perfect mix of actives with natural moisturizing factors to help me out. Also I could mix in my own actives to cater to my needs. I have used SkinActives since February, and this is not an advertisment for them. A few of their creams with the addition of niacinamide and white willow bark etc. have been AMAZING. Not only do they moisturize well (with water binding molecules and amazing antioxidant skin protection) I have seen an amazing reduction in acne, and facial redness. I love these moisturizers with facial oils and other serums on top.
This has not been the most amazing thing for my face by far though. I would say that manuka honey-from the first 30 minute topical treatment-I did with it, has shown by the fast the greatest improvement in my skin. I do not wash my face with anythiing else, though before this I was washing with my moisturizer and buttermilk powder. Honey is my new wash and mask. Another amazing mask is honey and seaweed powder. I feel as though in a couple of months I can go out without any makeup. I wear the tiniest amount of makeup since these amazing discoveries. Acne is viritually gone and scars are so light and my redness is faint, until the next time I get embarrassed. I use Sappho makeup which is a light-full coverage foundation, but I am going to be going to be adding Living Nature tinted foundation as I need viritually nothing these days. I hope this helps someone else, and may the experimenting for even greater ingredients continue. The Manuka honey I use is of a high MGO number.

I am excited to say that I have also had great results using Manuka honey for rosacea, and allergic reactions due to extreme sensitivity. The skin on my face has become increasingly sensitive over the last 10 years, cleansers, moisturizers, makeup, even tap water would leave my face red, irritated and often dehydrated. I would try the gentlest cleansers designed for sensitive skin, but all of them left my skin burning, irritated and red. One day I tried a gentle scrub due to my skins dry flakey texture. This was a mistake that left me with a red rash which lasted several months. I finally resorted to seeing a doctor who prescribed a steroid, and even this did not clear up the rash.
One day the idea came to me to try honey, so I purchased some manuka honey from a health food store, and began using it as a cleanser. In two months my skin has almost cleared to the point where I could go without makeup. The rash is gone, and the redness is mild. I use about a tablespoon massaged over my face and rinsed with warm water. My skin is moist and the flakiness is gone. I use olive or coconut oil around the eye if needed to remove eye makeup.

Would the honey "feed" the mites rather than kill them, or is the antimicrobial factor stronger than the sugar in honey?
Does the GSE work, and how precisely would one dilute/apply it?
Many thanks for taking the time to write!

Hi Sue, I'm a bit late replying but I do hope you try manuka honey. It should specifically state UMF on it as well as 10 or higher. I can feel it working pretty much immediately as though pulling any impurities out of my skin by perhaps being so concentrated. Use a light layer at night for 4 weeks or as a mask, rinsing after 15 minutes. I had luck using it overnight. I havent had a bad breakout in 6 months and minimal acne. My redness is diminishing to the point where I can see scars from a dog bite I had 40 years ago, ordinarily masked by redness. Once recovered, use a tea tree (melaluca ) blend with coconut oil for cleanser and a moisturizing cream with evening primrose oil. Best regards And I hope it helps.
Manuka Honey, Zinc Oxide

First: Manuka Honey- amazing, toned my redness down and started clearing up all the little bumps I had. Didnt really clear but made my face livable and detoxed my skin for sure.
2nd: Zinc Oxide Ointment 20% from any drug store
I started putting this stuff on my problem places for three days morning and night and was noticeably clearer within 2.
A man I work with came to my desk with skin cancer on his body. But his face was completely clear. He told me he had been using sun block with zinc oxide religiously on his face and his doctor was amazed by how much his skin had improved and cleared. So I jumped on it quick.
A week later I am clearer then ever. I also want to add that I have been drinking aloe vera juice from the HFS and Im sure it has contributed. But I am so amazed and shocked in the transformation of my skin. And beside a little mascara and lip color from time to time I have stopped wearing make up. It was worth the transition time. GOOD LUCK.
I am using zinc oxide in a baby rash ointment, works just like your product and it works fast at 13 percent zinc oxide. glad ur getting healed.
