Sarcoidosis is a very difficult disease because the cause is unknown and consequently there is very little in the way of traditional help for people living with this disease. Doctors generally prescribe systemic and or topical steroids for this disease to try and control runaway inflammation associated with the disease process. There are some researchers who theorize that there may be some type of pathogen involved and others who believe it to be an autoimmune issue, but no conclusive evidence to prove cause and effect, leaving the patient in a type of health limbo.

Sarcoidosis can go after many areas of the body including, but not limited to the skin, lungs, heart, eyes, brain and other organs. In this sense it has some similarities to Lupus. Obviously when sarcoidosis goes after the major organs, it can be life threatening and though steroids can be helpful, you can not take them indefinitely because steroids themselves can create new health issues which can also be serious, so some type of alternative would be very useful for people living with sarcoidosis. Studies into sarcoidosis are very limited as anyone who has researched this disease is acutely aware of!

On that note, the following abstract of a study suggests just such an alternative that may be useful for sarcoidosis based on the study results!

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16879313

Although this is not a huge study it does shine some light into an area of current day medicine that is very poorly lit or understood and it offers hope for a disease that has been pretty much hopeless for patients.

Melatonin is a favorite supplement of mine and it has a very good safety profile, as it should, since it is naturally produced by the body and the body has multiple melatonin receptors suggesting the bodies potential to utilize melatonin effectively. Melatonin is also readily available at the effective dosage used in the study. Melatonin has many health benefits well beyond the scope of this study making it quite useful in the area of health improvement. Melatonin is relatively inexpensive.

One very good thing about this study is that, at the dosage used in the study, it should be practical for you to show this very brief abstract to your doctor to get your doctor's approval and supervision for its use. Given the increased mortality rate associated with this disease, this could be life saving information for some people living with sarcoidosis!

Hello Kimberly, I have posted link to what Ted had to say on sarcoidosis but when you understand it is an autoimmune type disease you realise you need to boost the immune system and clear out the toxins, fungus and heavy metals from the body. On top of dietary changes, and considering Ted's advice, I would make a balm to apply to the front and back of the chest area containing as the base unrefined coconut oil then add drops of oregano oil, lavender, tea tree, and eucalyptus. Oregano oil is very potent and a concoction I made for my MIL's lung condition helped greatly, initially Drs told her she had lost half of one lung. Indeed she had required oxygen on the plane ride over and could not walk to the bathroom without stopping for breath. After a week of my treatment she was able to go shopping. I had used then olive oil as the base and had thickened with Shea butter, I have recommended coconut for you as it thickens like a balm making application easy you will likely need to put the bowl in warm water to mix. Adding some organic castor oil will help with penetration, I put a dash in my fresh leaf comfrey salve and that is what the family are using now for everything topical. Oh and for my MIL'S lungs I was also putting essential oils in the cold air vaporiser as she slept.

Best to you.

My Father also has this and I made a spray that he uses twice a day morning and night. It is a spray bottle 100 ml half pure water and half witch hazel with 30 drops of Frankincense oil and 5 drops of thieves oil. My Father said he feels much better using this and his coughing has reduced as well.

Hi, my father has sacardosis and is always complaining of chest pains. Is this something that he will just have to deal with or is there something I can do for him. I got some great advice from all the responses!

I am curious to find out, once your lung inflamation was reduced, did it give you back air and the ability to run?

I have Sarcoidosis. I was taking Prednazone and then discovered another drug called Low Dose Naltrexone. Prednazone was so toxic, I was glad to find an innocuous drug that took care of my symptoms. But I was always on the look out for other stuff. Tried chinese herbs. Tried many herbal remedies including mullein, serrapeptase, etc. Then I accidentally found a natural herb mixture that is for enhancing deep sleep. One of the ingredients is poppy seed extract. Well the LDN helped your body create more endorphins which are opiates. I found the mixture worked well. So I attribute it to poppy seed extract which is also opiate. I just take a smidgen. Does the job just fine. Never tried Blood root, which I will try. The Hydrogen peroxide, I think I won't.

For Sarcoidosis, try poppy seed extract. It reduced the lung inflammation. Maybe it will work for heart also. I used to cough non stop. This did the trick and gave me my life back.

H: A safer and proly more effective administration for the Mullein would be take oral and a liquid extract by nebulizer.

Other herbs to consider is Comfrey, Gotu Kola, Marshmallow, and Hawthorn. An herbal combination like Solorays "Lung Caps" would, in my opinion, be the most likely to improve lung function.

Nebulizing Colloidal Silver or H2O2 might be necessary in the case of infection, which is likely as Mycoplasma infection in the lungs seems to be a growing culprit for otherwise idiopathic lung disorders. Livestock are sometimes decimated by respiratory pneumonia caused by mycoplasma from contaminated water.

Dear Mama to Many,

Thank you for your reply and book recommendation. I will have to check it out. And you are right about me testing it out first. I had already planned to do that. I have a bit of asthma and I hope that maybe I will be able to see a difference in a reasonable amount of time.

My father has tried serrapeptase, but after months, we discontinued it because we did not see results. And then I found some internet stuff saying that serrapeptase never makes it to the lung, where it is needed, hence my interest in smoke.

I will also look into the hydrogen peroxide solution. It sounds very interesting.

Thanks again!

Dear Heatuponherbs,

The question of smoking an herb for the potential healing properties is a fascinating one.

I remember being quite shocked at the idea when I first read of it in Philip Fritchey's book, Practical Herbalism. It is perhaps my favorite herb book. I have a lot of respect for this herbalist and have learned so much from his book.

Anyway, he does discuss smoking the herb mullein. "The leaves, dried and smoked, like tobacco, are often useful in asthma and laryngeal affections." Mullein is a wonderful herb for lung issues (and many others.) It is generally a very gentle herb, though I do have a child that is allergic to it. Of course, you are considering another herb. All of this is just to say that one reputable modern herbalist does consider smoking an herb to be a viable option. (I would use a high quality and organic herb for this purpose.)

In his dosage information for mullein, he lists "smoke inhalant (dried first year leaves)" and suggests hand rolling a cigarette, or smoking in an ordinary tobacco pipe. He cautions not to "over do" as any kind of smoke can irritate the lungs.

Would I use this method of delivering an herb? Maybe. I would probably want to exhaust other reasonable options first. And methods less common or understood I am more likely to try on myself than someone else. (In fact, if you decide to try this, you should try it yourself before having your father try it.)

I think it is quite reasonable of you to suspect that there is a way to help your father, though doctors say his condition is irreversible.

You might also want to look in to serrapeptase, which has a reputation of dissolving scar tissue.

Also, please look in to Bill Munroe's Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation Method on this site, for lung healing.

Please let us know what else you learn, and what you try. I hope you find a solution for your father! He is blessed to have you on his side.

~Mama to Many~

Hi,

My dad has sarcoidosis, a chronic, inflammatory disease/respiratory disorder, characterized by granulomas and scar tissue. The doctors say it is irreversible, but I believe that the cure may be out there in the form of an herb.

I've read that the Native Americans and Spaniards smoked Yerba Santa for respiratory conditions?because

"Toward this end it was also smoked in the belief that the smoke went exactly to the place it was needed---the lungs."

I believe it, but I've asked around and all herbalists tell me that someone with a respiratory condition should not be putting smoke in their lungs.

But I believe that the Indians knew something that we didn't.

There are statistics that people who smoke are less likely to get sarcoidosis, which to me could mean that , maybe something in the smoke (as well as the nutritive properties of the plant itself) kills or prevents the bacteria that (may) cause Sarcoidosis from prospering?

Does anyone have any insight into this or an opinion? I recognize that Yerba Santa can be made into a tea, but perhaps this makes it harder for the active healing ingredient to get to the lungs for healing.

If it is fungus, then IV therapy... UVB IV followed by Hydrogen peroxide that is what my doctor is doing for me... If you're in Russia you're lucky -- go with LIR and hydrogen peroxide.

Urine Therapy. You probably lack vitamin d as well. Eat dried plums daily, but watch your sugar intake.

It is a parasite and like fungal changes rapidly. I have dealt with this for years but have found some interesting remedies to help us rid this solution

I don't know anything about zapping, but if Sarcidosis is a fungal or bacterial infection, it would make sense that a food grade hydrogen peroxide protocol may help, as FGHP is both an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.

Hello there, I am ill with Sarcoidosis and i have been trying to understand what might be causing it.There is no cure for it. Ted says it is most likely a fungus mycoplasma and another doc says its bacteria, so I have now read about Electric Zappers, which Hulda Clark invented, they are supposed to electrify your blood and kill the nasties like parasites and bacteria etc. It has been hailed as a cure for ALL diseases... I would really like to know if anyone can genuinly testify to that claim! I am very very curious and would love to know if Ted agrees(i know he is busy) or if any other readers can tell us of their experiance. I Thank you.

Gods Blessings, Sabby

My horse was diagnosed with a Sarcoid on his front right leg and I called the vet out. She immediately handed me a bottle of xxterra ( one of the basic ingredients is bloodroot ) and I began to apply it. Within 24 hrs the Sarcoid tumor on his leg was 1/4 the size and not ooooozy like it was... It has scabbed over and according to other who have used it the tumor falls off on its own! what an amazing product.

The only 2 natural sarcoidosis cures I have heard:'One gentleman used Goji juice for 6 months (do not know the brand but he paid 40.00 for it). A study showed high doses of melatonin for unresponsive patients and it "cured" 2 persons. My personal observation: autoimmune-like minerals in the air is a major culprit I think behind sarcoidosis. These are airborne zinc, antimony, lead, and especially manganese. Especially manganese because a study showed this is what was found in high amounts in the granulomas of sarc lungs. Go to www.scorecard.org, enter your zip code and click on the link that will tell you what chemicals are in your city's air. If this is the case, you will fight an uphill battle trying to get rid of the sarc. Sometimes the cure is to stop ingesting the cause.
