Yogurt

I have suffered from yeast infections since I was a teen. The otc creams are almost as bad as the yeast infection. I have found the less sugar I eat, the less infections I get. But the biggest help has been yogurt. Unflavored yogurt sucked up into one of those applicators used for the yeast infection medications really knocks out the pain and irritation within seconds and cures it in a matter of days. It is so much cheaper, kinder and faster then the creams.

I just found this site, looking for help with my chronic sinus/dental problems and got side-tracked. I wanted to add my input on using yogurt for vaginal yeast infections. I rarely get yeast infections, but any time I ever did, I dipped a tampon in some plain yogurt and left it in overnight, and it always cured the problem immediately! In addition, a few years back, I was baking some bread and must have scratched my leg with a fingernail that had some yeast underneath, and within an hour I had what is known as "baker's infection"...something people who work in bakerys suffer from on a regular basis because of the live yeast surrounding them. My rash on my legs was spreading by the minute, so I finally ran a hot bath, dumped a carton of plain yogurt in, and it brought it to a screeching halt! The redness remained into the next day, but the spreading had stopped, along with the itching and burning! I had read that yogurt bacterias kill yeast on contact, and I know, from experience, that this is absolutely true!
Anti-Fungal Remedies or Medication

A few years ago i worked in a kitchen environment and a candy store. Ok obviously i had a bad diet... i developped a rash on the side of my hand. water made it worse and perhaps the plastic gloves for candy didnt help. this rash persisted for over half a year and disappeared only by moving up my pinkie. there it became obvious that aside from cracking skin that there were tiny pimple like bumps.
My dad got me cortisone cream and it flared. apparently i found out at that time that cortisone feeds yeast! i got to thinking i had a yeast infection on my hand!!! i did try ACV it brought relief but i think the infection was too deep. Or that the ACV would of worked better mixed with a cream... it would clear to reemerge once the skin became dryer again. I was so convinced it was a yeast infection...
One day i told my dentist what i thought and she helped me get some cold sore medication... nyaderm/betaderm.. just to say it was antifungal!!! after 3 days the rash never came back.... i know its not a natural cure but just to say had i made a something with garlic or you know something antifungal the rash would of left.
since that time ive formed a belief that almost all health problems stem from mycotoxins or fungus/yeast living in human tissue. i still have a coated tongue and in my best efforts have only been able to partially clear it up. sucking on a tablet for candida did clear it up for a few hours, enough for hope but yeah thats expensive.
Borax

Decades ago I was informed by a nurse that douching with a tbl. of the borax used for cleaning laundry(don't want to mention the BN) and 8 oz. of warm water twice daily for just a few days works. Well it really does. I've been using this remedy for many years now with no adverse reactions. If you do it gently, it should not cause problems, just wash out the vagina. Very simple and super cheap!

After taking birth control pills for 2 month I ave suffered with Chronic Vaginal Yeast infections for 7 years. I have found that diet is the most important. No sugar, and avoid yeast products, and dairy. I take very high quality essential oil. Don't take low quality because they can really hurt you. I use oregano oil and put about 5-6 drops in a capsule and take it orally. It kills candida. I also put 6 drops of coriander oil in a capsule and take it internally, because it cleanses out the mercury toxin. I put rosemary oil, frankisense oil, and hellicrism oil in a capsule and stick it right up in the vagina. It works amazingly fast. I will also use Boric acid in capsules and insert it vaginally to balance ph levels there. I have tried many many different things for the past 7 years, that have helped but this has worked better than anything else. Adding grapfruit seed extract capsules will really help also.
Giving Up the Pill

Giving up the contraceptive pill stopped repeated candida / vaginal infections. I had repeated vaginal infection's with vulva soreness for two year's . I was put on liver destroying diflucan on repeat prescription and told i had candida or non specific (we don't know what this is !) Vaginitis. I also had to repeatedly use pessaries that now five years later has let to a prolapsed bladder (the connective tissues were locally very damaged by these products). Anyway, one week i gave up my pill as things were so painful i wasn't having sex. Within two week's the infection was gone never to return.

For about 3 years I was having the worst yeast infections ever. They would be ok for one week out of a month, but that was not good enough to feel good about myself. I discovered after seeing many doctors, using and taking many diferent things that once I quit using the birth control pill that after a month or so I was totally cured! I now feel great about myself and am not in so much discomfort...
Monistat Reactions

I used Monostat 7 and it made my symptoms worse. The burn and itch increased and I was about to go out of my mind. The next morning things were swollen and they weren't previous to the treatment of Monistat 7. I just got through drinking the apple cider vinegar and water. Now I am waiting to see if it works. If nothing else I am glad to know that there is alternatives to the messy and nasty creams.

Monistat made me feel Terrible! the itching was severe and I had to run and wash it out immediately! I broke out all over my legs too. I tried diflucan and the infection went away and came back within a week. NOW I'm going to try the Vinegar! thanks for the advice...!
Salt Water

Years ago I saw a doctor in Australia who told me that the only way to cure yeast infection was to douche twice a day for 10 days with a solution of salt and hot water (as hot as you can stand it), holding the solution in the vagina for 5 minutes, then draining and inserting new hot solution, etc. for a total of 20 minutes. Here's the problem ...I can't remember the proportion of salt to water! I think it might have been 1/4 cup table salt to one quart of hot water (boiled and cooled sufficiently). It works great! Does anyone know what the proportions are? Is it 1/4 cup salt to 1 quart hot water, or is it less salt?

When I have problems 'down there' as I call it, I always break out the 100% juice cranberry juice. If you're really brave you can try 100% cranberry juice straight, my sister said it cleared it right up, but tasted awful.

I have vaginal itching for over a month now, but I wasn't sure if it was a yeast infection or not. I tried the apple cider cure, but it didn't help at all. Inserting it vaginally made it even worse! Finally, I looked up vaginitis/vaginal itching online and found the yogurt suggestion (vaginally). I inserted 2 tsp. (10 ml) of it into my vagina last night (my husband found it hilarious, by the way), but it's the first night that I haven't felt like clawing at my insides! The website I found suggested using 2 tsp. inserted with a syringe vaginally for 7 days straight at bedtime, and then doing it once more on the 14th day. In the study done on Turkish pregnant women, most of them didn't having symptoms by the 3rd day.

When you use yogurt to cure a yeast infection try dipping a tampon in it then insert tampon overnight. This way you don't need to worry about it leaking, and it still works.
