Sorry to say that the egg white remedy didn't work for us. We tried for an hour but very little change. Didn't want to wait much longer at 104.1. Used Pedia Tylenol in the end. Glad it worked for others. Worth a try though. We soaked cloth in the egg white, wrapped around foot. Put food in plastic bag, then sock on. Anybody doing research on this? More information on how to apply it? Does it have to be cold egg whites out of the fridge. Maybe more description hints could help.

Egg Whites For Fevers I tried the egg white cure for fevers and it worked! My daughter was sick with a 102 degree temp. I soaked the bottom of a pair of ped socks in two egg whites, slightly beaten and put them on my daughter's feet. I then placed a plastic bag over each foot to keep the bed sheets clean. I put another pair of socks on top of the plastic bags to keep them from slipping off. I kept it on a few hours at a time and reapplied twice after that. To my surprise the fever really did go down in a little less than a half hour. Her fever went from 102 degrees to 99.4. One thing though. My daughter developed a tender spot on the bottom of her foot that really hurt her with the slightest of pressure. That's when I stopped the applications. She really didn't need it after that, the fever had broke but now she was left with a very tender spot on the bottom of her foot. The tenderness went away afer about a day. Can anyone tell me why this happened AND why does the egg white work?

As a final resort to get my daughter's fever down from 105. I tried the egg whites. In less than 10 min her temp was down to 101.9. Within he hour her temp started to creep up so went back to Pediatric Motrin. This afternoon I'm doing the egg whites again. It only seems to work momentarily. At least I can say I tried. Thanks!

Our son had been running a fever for the past couple of days but earlier today it spiked to 103.9. Out of desperation my wife searched the internet and came across your egg white remedy. After only 15 minutes his fever had dropped to 102 and then to 99 within 15 minutes later. Amazing yet excellent remedy to say the least. Thank you. This is one we'll definitely remember.

re: Egg Whites on Feet to Bring Down Fever. Thank you! I used this solution on my boyfriend (who was suffering from a 103.5 fever) and it brought it down to 99 within 30 minutes. I couldn't believe that it worked, but now I'll definitely reach for the egg whites, cloths, and plastic freezer bags the next time any of my loved ones need a quick, natural, and efficient fever reducer.

The egg whites did not work. Her feet were soaked in egg whites. My wife's temp was 100.5 when I found this site. 20 minutes later after applying the egg whites correctly it was 101.8 an hour later 102.8. I took the egg whites off her feet and used very hot towels on her feet and forehead. As of now 3 hours later it dropped for the first time to 101.5 I will see if the hot towles work. Egg whites seemed to raise the temp.

My boyfriend had a fever of 103. Knowing that a fever is good and natural way for the body to fight off infection... we waited... then got nervous when it wasn't going down, and only going up. I soaked two wash coths in a bowl of seven egg whites. He said it was cooling and comforting... within 20-30 minutes his temperature was down to 99.0! It's totally worth a try. Thanks to all for the advise!

My 3yr old started a temp three days ago at 102. I started to give him Motrin and alternate with Tylenol. His fever did not go down all night and proceeded into the next morning. I stayed home with him and kept him on the medications and his temp stayed all day between 102 and 103. In the evening yesterday by 9pm my husband checks the internet for any remedies to bring down fevers. We were starting to worry. He was burning hot. Well he browsed until he got to this website and told me about it. I have never heard of egg yolk remedy before and I was skeptical about it. So off I went to get cloths, soaked it and applied it to my son's feet. Within half hour from 103 his temp went down to 101. I reapplied he cloths again with yolk a second time. Within 35min his temp went down to 99.5. I was amazed. All day trying to get his temp down with Motrin and Tylenol and nothing. Which surprises me becaue usually the motrin has helped at least bring down his temp a little. But this fever was not letting down. So after he fell asleep in his bed, i got up many times to check up him, and his fever was gone. Today I kept him home from daycare just to make sure his fever didnt come back. Sure thing, it DIDN'T. I am so THANKFUL,i have no words to explain. Who says because it sounds wiered to try it won't work. I instantly told my two closest friends and my sister about this and they were in disbelief. I will most definitly keep this remedy in mind for any future fevers that come along. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

EC: We presume you used egg whites, not egg yolks, but let us know if we're wrong. We'd love to know if egg yolks work as well!

Egg whites cured my 7 year olds fever OMG...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! After a full day of fevers at 102.6 to 101 I needed to get this fever down. All day long I used over the counter drugs to try and get his temp down. It worked for a hour or two and then went back up. Knowing that I could not give him and medicine for another three hours I went on the internet to try and find another wat to lower this temp. I came across your web site. I have heard about the Vicks on the Feet in order to cure a cough before so this made sense to me. I used 4 egg whites and paper towles, wrapped his feet and put socks on top of the paper towels. Within 30 minutes his fever went from 102.6 to 99.6. We still have the egg whites on his feet and will see how tonight goes but this is the lowest his temp has been ALL DAY.

I have my grandson visiting from Birmingham; he had been sick for two weeks with a terrible congestion and cough, and most recently worsened with a high fever (103oF) so I searched on line for a natural remedy to break fever. I came across this site and these suggestions. After reading all, I decided on the less messy potato remedy. I slice a white potato into pieces about the size of his little foot and ut them into his socks. It worked in 30 minutes! The fever is completely gone and he is back to a normal reading. Further, I am using apple cider vinegar with natural blue agave sweetener to loosen the congestion and a juice mixture of fresh lemon with grated ginger and sweetener to sooth his cough. Natural is always better! Thanks to all of you for sharing.

My 5 month old son had been fighting a fever all day and after a 6 hour trip to the ER with a fever of 103.2 no one could seem to help. They told me to keep giving him tylenol and eventually it would get better! IT DIDN'T!! The lowest we could get it was 102.1. That night around 2:30 am my son woke up screaming with a fever of 103.9, I began searching the internet trying to find something; anything tha night work. I came across the egg whites remedy and figured it was worth a shot since nothing else was working. I put the cloths on his feet, put his socks on and just a few minutes later his temp was down to 100.1!! I can't believe this! THANK YOU!!!!! My son is now back to laughing, smiling and kicking around. This was truly a miracle! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

My husband had been fighting a fever for a few days, we'd been treating it with fever reducing OTC drugs, as well as trying to sweat it out. It suddenly spiked to 103.7. He took a cool bath, after which it was up to 103.9! Panicked, I googled remedies for fevers and came across this cure. We tried it, I wrapped eggwhite soaked cloths around his feet, and covered them with socks. Within 20 minuted his fever was down to 102.4. I had him set his feet (with the socks and eggs still on) in a bowl of ice, he also ate ice chips and we put a bag of frozen veggies on his head. After about an hour we removed the ice, eggs, etc. and now he is sleeping peacefully on the couch with a fever of 100.4 and falling. I don't know if it was the eggs or the ice or a combination of everything, but thank you to whoever posted it.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

Egg white cure for fever.Last night my 11 year-old son had a fever of 101.9. Who wants to be sick, especially during Winter Break and on your parents' 22nd wedding anniversary? He detests taking medication of any sort because of the taste and texture, but will if he absolutely has to. This time he tried to take an Advil and threw up. He refused to try the kids Tylenol Meltaways after that experience, saying he'd rather let the fever go away on its own. So off to google I went and found Earth Clinic. We tried the egg white remedy and the fever started going down after 20 minutes. By the time he went to bed, his fever was down to 99.5. While his fever wasn't cured completely and as quickly as others have written, I will say it sped up the process for recovery. One suggestion: I should have read all the comments before applying the egg whites. Next time, I will put plastic bags over the egg white-soaked bandanas before I put on the two pairs of socks. Some of the egg white slipped out. The plastic bags would have helped. I really appreciate this web site and people's comments.

An addendum to my post this morning. After a night's "rest" the fever is back but even higher (102.5) so I'm rethinking the wonder of the egg white remedy. I think I will let nature take its course and just make sure my son is comfortable while he rides this out.

Egg Whites Well I tried that for my three year old when she had a fever.... it didn't work??? Maybe there's a trick to it or something? She started crying because the egg whites were cold on her burning feet. I would really like to know how all of you handled that? Thanks!

As I'm typing this, I'm so grateful for the egg white remedy! My son had been running a fever for three days, I was getting weary and thought i would spend Christmas Day in the Emergency Room,I begin to pray and ask Heavenly Father for help. I had faith and i knew somehow i would receive a blessing. I began to worry when i was awaken by my son's cry and when i picked him up he was burning up, i was so afraid i called my husband and informed him that i would have to go to the hospital, and i gave him so OTC meds. I decided to wait and see if he meds would work, but like any mother i could not just do nothing, so i decided to to a search online and saw your posting, after reading it I ran downstairs to the kitchen and used the egg whites. I soaked his in cloth bandages and placed socks on top, and WOW! It WORKS! IN A MATTER OF WHAT SEEMED LIKE SECONDS THE FEVER BEGAIN TO BREAK!! THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!!!!!

My 23 year old friend had come down with a high fever. I had tried everything that I could think of to break it. Finally, I decided to go online and research. Thank God, I came across this web site. Now applying egg whites to one's feet is really gross but I was willing to try anything. It has been about 30 mins and the fever has been slowly dropping. Which is a miracle.. Thank you..

My 12 year old son had a high fever of 104.3 that would not break, even after motrin, popsicles, liquids, and a sponge bath. I came into my office to call the doctor, but thought I'd google 'how to bring down a high fever' and up popped this site. Wow...after having 3 boys and dealing with many high fevers (in fact, this son went into a seizure at 1 1/2 yrs from a high fever)...I can't believe I've never heard of this!! I used 5 egg whites and soaked a wash cloth that I then wrapped on his feet. Truly, and I kid you not, my boys are witnesses... his fever dropped to 102 in a matter of 20 minutes. Thank you so much for this website!!! the ol 'wives' knew more than we give them credit for!!!

5 year-old son had a fever of 104.8 and we were about to go to the emergency room. We googled "How to break a fever" and this site came up. What did we have to loose? So we tried it. two minutes after we did it we were at 102.8. fifteen minutes after we were at 101.5. thirty minutes after we were 100.3 and one hour after we put the egg whites on his feet his temp was normal. awsome!

I had been running a fever for 2 days in the upper 30's..38.5-39.5 range... I was full of chills and I now know I was on the verge of panic..Advil and Motrin were no longer working to break my fever for even 30 minutes. I quickly gathered my thoughts and searched on line for a home remedy.. Low and behold I stumbled across this remedy.. Thank Goodness.. I soaked 2 rags in the egg white solution and wrapped it around my feet, I then covered my feet in the plastic bags and lastly socks.. After about 25 minutes my fever had went from 39 degrees to 38.5 in 15 more minutes it was 37 degrees... I am still sweating a bit, but without chills and with alot more calmer feelings.. Thank you ever so much for this Remedy, I will definately be passing it on....Namaste...
