I truly do believe that ACV has helped me lose weight. I am now on a strict diet and exercise program but, the ACV helped me dramatically lose inches off of my waist. ALSO, for people like me who want to lose FAT and don't care so much about the number on the scale: it is in my personal belief that the high acidic levels in the vinegar cause the enzymes in the fat cells to break down, therefore causing a loss in fat. I love ACV! It tastes horrid at first but, after a while you truly do get used to it. AND AND AND don't be afraid of what other people say like "it will cause cancer" or "there's no miracle cure". Everyone's body is different and therefore you can be your own judge (: Love yourself, even if you have a little extra something. There truly is no one to compare to you because you are the only you there is.

ACV. I was at a holiday party and overheard a women talking about getting back on vinegar after the first of the year. I didn't engage her about it. She has been very healthy as long as I have known her. I returned home from the party and typed into my search the word vinegar. I am a 48 yo man, who had chronic heartburn for 18 years. I was antacid addicted. Slowing gaining weight over the years and becoming arthritic. I was in big trouble, high BP and a resting heart rate of 90 BPM. I believe my problems were interconnected and had led to some mild depression. I just wasn't digesting my food anymore. I worked out exercised but my body was polluted, and I weighed 278LBS on a 5'9" frame. My waist was 44 inches. My flexibility was limited and I would struggle picking up a coin off the ground. Quite Frankly I was a mess. On January 1st I started a daily detoxify program the consists of the following every day. Breakfast- 3ounces of oatmeal with water and a dash of cinnamon. I also fill two 32 ounce bottles with 4 oz of brags acv and 28 oz of bottled water each. I eat salmon 3-5 times a week for lunch or dinner. By January 3rd (48hrs) I had increased my flexibility by at least and inch and my joint pain had ceased. I sit here 8 months later weighing 190lbs; Last night at our local beer society meeting I was approach by a 28 y.o. woman who commented on my skin. I have never felt better in my life. From a mental stand point I feel in complete control of myself. Vinegar has lower my BP 30 pts too it actually being low. My resting heart rate is now 68. Needless to say it has changed my life. I believe my health problems were directly connected to my lack of raw food and my digestive system lacking enzymes and being totally out of whack. I wasn't eating much but couldn't lose weight and had chronic diarrhea. All those problems are gone. This might seem like an extreme, but _____s, Water, Quaker Oats, Salmon, and Acpunture have saved my life and made me a contributor and not a burden to society. I am going on vacation next week and while getting my suitcase out of the attic I discovered a little bag filled with lots of acid blockers and anti diarrhea pills. It made me feel a bit sad because I had lost 18 years of good health to bad science and pharma. Well I hope at least one person entering middle age ((34) reads this and starts natural care. I'm one of those people who believe that drug companies are not out to cure diseases but to come up with drugs to ONLY control them so we're stuck buying them for a lifetime. After my doctor had me wear a blood pressure device for 24 hours I was told my blood pressure was high and he put me on (Micardis?). 2 months later on Superbowl Sunday, Feb. 5-06 I had a stroke. I wish I could give you numbers and readings but I don't have them. 14 years ago I was told I was a diabetic and needed to control it with diet which I never really did. Anyway after the stroke my doctor had me go get my blood tested for almost everything sugarwise. He told me of bad numbers on most everything. Then a friend told me about Apple Cider Vinegar and although it's not the tastiest thing I started taking a drink of Heinz ACV every morning. That started about 6 months ago. On my last Dr. appointment going over another blood sugar test he wanted to know how much I was exercising because my blood pressure was good and so were all my sugar numbers plus I'm almost under 200 pounds for the first time in ??? I'm at 203 with a high of 232 and haven't changed a thing in my lifestyle. I haven't exercised on a regular basis since giving up softball at the age of 46 four years ago. ACV has made a believer of me. Now if I could just pour it on my head and regrow my hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar has cured: varicose veins, weight lose, tendinitis, wrinkles. In April of 2005, I came across a booklet for ACV, at the time I was 50 years old I played sports in high school, a construction worker for 20 years and a mover for the last 15, so I have done a number on my body over the years. My daughter convinced me to start taking ACV... I have taken it everyday since! The health benefits have been many. The first thing I noticed was my hair and nail growth, doesn't seem like much but my hair was white and had no color, but was growing back in blonde! I thought that was amazing! Over all the years of abuse on my feet and ankles I had purple feet from the varicose veins, it really was a severe case, after two months of use my feet started to look clearer to me, but I wasn't sure so I started taking pictures....I now have NO varicose veins on my feet, legs or anything. In April of 2005 I was a size 38 pants, today I am a 32 pants. I have not done any extra exercise to achieve this, It simply melted the pounds away (I also have a six pack again). The ACV has given me a facelift, I do NOT look like I am 51! My wrinkles around my eyes have literally disappeared. My skin is tighter, firmer every where. I feel like a new man. Over the years while abusing my body in my everyday life (working) I developed new and painful body movements, aches where I never had before and eventually the Doc diagnosed me with tendinitis (really painful) in both of my shoulders, being a mover this isn't good for business, it really started hurting my paycheck (then I started the ACV). I really had not realized I stopped taking the naproxen the Dr. had prescribed until I went to see him for my physical. He asked me if I needed a new script, that's when I realized I used to live on those pills everyday and hadn't needed them once since I started taking the ACV, so I told the Dr. about the ACV he was awed, seeing the results for himself he decided to start taking it, in fact my Barber, Boss, Coworkers, Kids, Brothers and sister all now take it with health benefits of there own. I tell you I LOVE ACV it has changed my life and made me a new healthier man. I actually believe I have a long healthy life ahead. In response to Anthony of Ft. Meyers: Having been "personal trainer" for a decade, you will have observed great differences in how individual bodies respond to physical training. The same is true for each individual's metabolism, and physical constitution.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with "filling up on this calorie-free liquid" but rather has to do with the malic acid and acetic acid in the vinegar. Both of these stimulate the liver to metabolize fats and sugars for energy instead of sending it to cells to be stored as adipose tissue. I personally believe that the acids in vinegar cause the digestive organs to secrete more lipase, the enzyme that digests fats, and the main enzyme that all obese people are deficient in.

I take ACV. I also take BSM. The combination of these 2 supplements have caused me to lose quite a few pounds, substantially decreased my menstrual migraines, restored my (missing for almost a decade) sex drive, and seem to have somewhat balanced my hormones. Apple Cider Vinegar is a remedy so old that its origins are unknown. Frequently, the old ways are the best ways.

Anne, The 5:2 fast diet does work. BBC's Dr Michael Mosley popularised it in the UK and Australia. Books available; also, 5:2 Facebook pages which I find inspirational. It recommends ladies eat 500 calories on two non-consecutive days of the week. Eat normally the other 5 days. People find that when the goal weight is achieved, doing the fast only one day a week maintains the weight.

Just wanted to let everyone know ACV works!!! I have lost 5lbs in 5 days:-) NO EXCERCISE!!! I take 2 tsp (straight up without honey or sweetener) mixed with 16 ounces of water (3 of these concoctions) per day. I drink it with a straw then take a sip of straight water to get vinegar off of my teeth as not to destroy my enamel. Sip don't chug! I think this is extremely important. I dropped a bunch of weight with the mucusless diet a few years ago, I also used ACV at the same (didn't sip but drank 3 mugs a day water/ACV) but I don't remember my appetite as decreased as it is now. I also used to put honey in it and make sort of an apple cider out of it but am now used to the taste this is way easier just putting a splash in my water. But do whatever it takes to get this down. -I notice my acne is clearing up,

-I used to be a sugar craving monster and no longer am. In fact they don't even taste that good to me anymore as one reviewer already stated. The major key to ACV working is to sip not chug. I sometimes wonder if this is why it might not work for some people since I noticed a big difference taking it both ways. -Also if you feel down in the dumps take a shot est 3 tsp worth it made me feel ready to clean my house. My aunt just had a gastric bypass surgery. I only wish she would have found ACV first. I have much more energy than I used to.

I think the reason Michelle S. lost so much weight has nothing to do with the ACV, but rather the 20 oz. of water in the morning and before dinner.

Many times, people eat because they mistake thirst for hunger, they overeat in response, and therefore gain weight. It has been shown in studies that people are normally functioning in a dehydrated state, more often than not. Additionally, if you are drinking 20 oz. of water right before you have dinner, it has nothing to do with the ACV but you taking up 2. 5 cups of volume in your stomach. Therefore, you feel full faster and eat less calories.

Bravo on dropping some pounds and getting hydrated, but if you really want to get healthy and not just "skinny, " I would recommend losing the junk food. Those are just empty calories with little to no nutritional value and if you have been that successful with your ACV regimen, you should be able to easily and slowly change your eating habits for incredible success.

When I first started using ACV back in 08' I lost 5 solid pounds. And that is where I sat for 3 years, jumping around 175-180 until this Oct, 2011.

I knew what my problem was: I was trying to lose 60 pounds without giving up the junk food I CRAVED. I was also eating everything I was allergic to that kept my weight on : nuts, milk, wheat, corn, oats, diet sodas, excess salt, sugar). The ACV just couldn't do it alone. Then suddenly, the coconut oil tablespoons I was ingesting on a daily basis (even knowing that I'm allergic to nuts) began giving me heart aches & high BP, a sure sign of allergic inflamation.

Sooooo... I did 5 important things this October and lost 19 lbs in 2 months.

1st: I read a book about wheat bellies and became inspired!

2nd: I stopped eating everything from the above list.

3rd: I cut my ACV down to 2 tsp morning and bedtime.

4th: I limited my daily diet to 9oz meat, loads of veggies, & 1 fruit (I have type-2 diabetes).

5th: I lightly exercise 15-20 minutes (stretching, exercycle, light weights) 5-6 days a week.

How do I look? WAY SMALLER, HEALTHIER & YOUNGER. Do I miss junk food? You betcha! Do I cheat? 1 meal with dessert, once a month and we don't take home the doggy bag. My mind is clearer and so is my skin. My waking blood sugar vascillates between 89-101. My blood pressure is 125/69 with a pulse of 58. Those numbers are fantastic! My sugar reading alone was once riding as high as 300.

Also, I only use the coconut oil on my skin now; I've come to the conclusion that digesting it just doesn't fit my genetics. I believe that there comes a time when we all must decide - healthy or not. Not is the worst way to go because being unhealthy, unfit, and fat can drag you down from how you feel about yourself when you just go to try on cute clothes, to how your brain thinks, to how you move, to being the worst example for your kid/s. So, my buddy (hubby) and I are DOING IT! (You should see him! ) The weight is finally, after 16 years (56 now), coming off. There's ways to go BUT, I'm staying on course because I'm so excited about what I see in the mirror and what I feel is going on inside of me.... POSITIVE LOOOOOVE! Based on what I've read, I really think that ACV is beneficial for really overweight people perhaps with some yeast issues going on. I did take it at 280lbs, lost 16lbs in 2 months and still losing weight. I took the store brand for the first month and then switched to the ___ Organic because I've read so much about it being the best. I have also somewhat watched my eating and added some light exercise, nothing very drastic, so I really believe that the ACV is helping. I can say that my stomach is getting flatter for the first time in years and my complexion has a lighter more youthful glow. I just prepare a huge water bottle of 64 oz and splash in about 2 tablespoons ACV and sip it throughout the day at work. I might also do another 2 tablespoons in the am and pm when I remember. I give ACV a YEA!

It's been a few months since I gave an update, however, the results are simply amazing. I take raw unfiltered ACV, 1/8 cup 3x a day. My sinus infections are all history, but that's not the reason I'm writing. About 2 weeks ago, I stepped on the scales. I have lost 30 pounds. I weighed 220 pounds in April, and I now weigh 190. Of course, the ACV isn't the only thing I do, however it was definitely the catalyst in giving me the energy to move forward. I drink a gallon or more of pure water a day. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want, and I'm still losing weight. Most of the weight (about 20 pounds), was lost during a period when I was doing NO exercise. I've lost 2 waist sizes. My wife is jealous!!! I keep telling her what she needs to do, but she says the thought of drinking ACV is just too disgusting. So, she gets to watch me buy a new wardrobe in a few weeks. Thank you EarthClinic for being here when I needed you back in April. You have truly changed my life. In addition, I've spread the news about the life altering experiences I have had through this site, so it's touched even more people. Keep the faith all, and remember... none of this worked "overnight". It took 3 days of ACV to lose my initial severe sinus infection. And if I go more than 3 days without using the ACV, I can tell a HUGE difference... as the sinuses start plugging up again, and I start getting tooth pain. I will drink ACV for the rest of my life! Hi Mahi, it's teaspoons not tablespoons. By the end of the day I have consumed 48 ounces of water with 6 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar mixed in. So in the morning I fill up a glass of 16 ounces of water that has 2 teaspoons of ACV in it. I sip on it and it is usually gone by lunch time so I make another glass up and make sure I sip on that until about dinner and make up another glass. I also have a big glass of water next to my ACV water mix and sip that right after I sip the ACV so I get the vinegar off of my teeth. I've introduced kelp capsules now too as I've heard that can reset your thyroid. I dropped 20 lbs in two months by doing the mucusless diet in the past. (a lot more strict and I walked 3 miles a day and gave up alcohol) Maybe research that too so you can get into the mindset of what is good food. I wish you the best of luck! Even if ACV didn't help me lose weight I would still take it based on how good it makes me feel. I'm also going to add cayenne pepper tinctured to my diet as well. As I have heard that raises your metabolism.

The first couple of months on ACV I did not notice anything until I was filled in on the new way of taking ACV. First, make sure that you are taking raw, organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with Mother. It's gotta have all that stuff right on the label. Then, get a shot glass (regular 2 ounce size) and fill it with ACV. Pour that into a regular drinking glass. Then fill the glass with apple juice(my preference), or cranberry juice, or grape juice. No acidic juices like orange juice, that gives heartburn. Next drink it as slow or as fast as you like. Do that every morning, seven days a week. I have been doing it for two years and I feel like a rocket all day long. It took about two weeks for the loading phase to finish and about another month for my muscles to catch up with the ACV to where my blood pressure dropped and so did my weight. Ten pounds a month I lost, but I still ate at McD's. I started at 380 and two years later am at 300. I recommend drinking it through a straw to save the enamel on your teeth from the acidity. But, I drank it without a straw the first year with no ill effect. If a full shot glass gives you heart burn then start with a half of a shotglass and move up to a full one in a couple weeks. Remember, it's gotta be 1. Raw 2. Organic 3. Unfiltered 4. With Mother. None of this pasteurized or filtered or clear nonesense, that kills all the important enzymes. Thank you a friend told me about your site and I looked it up about ACV. thought i would give it a try.couldn,t stand it with water yuck!!! so got the idea to try it with orange juice it works!!!!! no bad taste works great!!!!I started it 9-1-09 and today it is 9-15-09 been on it for15 days. weighed 193 lb on 9-1-09 today I weigh 181 lb shed 12 health pounds and went from a 36tight pant to a very lose 34 pant now!!!! I am impressed!!! Love the new me feel better and eat less but still enjoy the things I like!!! Hi Jesseca, In reply to the ACV I take it with 2 tbl. ACV w/ Honey in about 8oz. water 3x day. Although you can sip it through the day im sure the outcome is the same. I've been doing this for about 1 1/2 months now and i love it! I've lost 12 lbs. so far but id like to lose 20 but this summer. It gives me more energy and my complexion is so much better also. I also started putting virgin coconut oil 1 tbl. a day and it gave me a jolt of energy so i think im going to keep that up too! It helps me with chasing my kids all day!

Hey all,

I just wanted to report my experience with using ACV for the second time. I initially started in July 07 and took it for about 5 weeks and lost 18lbs. I was taking 2Tlbsp of Acv, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda with 1 Tblspn of honey. I didn't stop bcuz it wasn't working, I just got caught up with life...I graduated college, moved, had deaths n accidents in my family and started workin 2 jobs...so I just slowly got out of the habit of taking it. I wasn't watching what I ate or exercising, but I never gained the weight back. I started @ 262 and went down to 255.I stayed 255 until Jan 1, 2009 when I re dedicated myself to getting healthy.....I have changed my dosage to the new revised recipe on here...which is 2 teaspoons of acv in 16 ounces of water (2 cups)...and I sip throughout the day. I prepare a weeks worth of water bottles in advice n take it with me to work n school....So far since the 1st of Jan....I have lost 16lbs....n its only Feb 5th. I haven't worked out one day.I have a slim fast shake in the morning followed by a few gulps of acv mix...then I have salad or fruits for lunch n whatever I want for dinner...as long as u take a few sips b4 n after meals....u will lose weight. I notice my stomach slimming the most. I don't know how people can say this doesn't work. I want to take it for the rest of my life..bcuz my hair is long n shiny, I have a lot more energey(hence I'm wide awake @ 5am writing this) and I have had severe back back from some pinched nerves in my back....I used to take 6 to 10 tylenol or motrin to get through the day....and to me its amazing that I haven't taken any pain meds for my back since I started acv again.I swear by it. ACV for Weight Loss---WORKS. I probably should have waited a little longer b4 posting an update but I'm just so happy with the results of ACV.Today, March 27th...I weigh 228.2....so in 3 months I have lost over 30 lbs....I started @ 262 on Jan 1st. I have a new goal I'm working toward...not only would I like to lose another 45lbs, but I would like 2 wear a bikini for the first time in my life this summer.I'm goin to keep doing what I'm doing while incorporating light exercise and God willing, I will go to beach without a cover up. I'm elated. Thanx for all the support. I'm going to go on hiatus until probably mid June . I'll report update then.

Hello All. Just wanted to report an update to my weight loss results. My last update was May 4, 2009 and my weight was 219.6. My current weight is 205.2. I'm almost at my goal of 200lbs, but now I'd like to continue until I reach 180lbs. Jan 1, 2009 262.8lbs Waist-49inches Jean size-16-18(with a constant muffin top) July 2, 2009(today) Weight-205 Waist-38inches Jean size-12 I'm still doing the same things.Low carb diet thats it. I know I'm terrible, but I have yet to exercise but I know I need to because I need to tighten my skin. ACV has worked great for me. Thanx."

In 1972 my father was in his late 40's. Being from Wisconsin his diet included quite a bit of fatty food. Most of his weight was in his belly. Not uncommon in Wisconsin. At that time, I don't know where he found it, but he came home one day and announced that he was going to cut out 25% of the fat in his diet and drink 8 oz of luke warm water every night with 1 Tbsp of Cider Vinegar and 1 Tbsp of Honey.
I was still very young, and had a problem with bed wetting. He gave me his mixture one night before bed and told me that I would never wet the bed again, I didn't.

I now suggest organic for both and Raw Honey.
In a matter of two months, all of his belly weight had disappeared.
To add to that what I have learned over the years...
I am not Jewish, but NOT mixing milk products with meat is also very helpful since it it easier to digest out food.
What Western medical doctors won't tell us also is that when we combine our protein and carbs they turn into fat in our bodies immediately. We do need carbs, but complex carbs rather than all of the processed white flour and white sugar. Processed food is poison more than anything. We really can't trust the FDA. They allow chemicals to be put in our food. I believe that so many health problems are caused by chemicals that our bodies just don't agree with. Western doctors will just keep treating the symptoms.

Try Oatmeal and sprouted grain breads and pastas, you'll be surprised at how quickly you get use to them.
Lean protein and vegetables together.
Don't get on the scale every day, you'll just frustrate yourselves.
When I got pregnant with my son I weighed 125 pounds. I ate like a foodball player during my pregnancy. I gained over 100 pounds! He was a big beautiful 10 lb baby, lol
After nursing for a year and continuing to eat well I lost it all.
Look at the size of your bone structure and don't pressure yourself. Not all of us are meant to be skinny, just healthy and in proportion. Consider your genetic background.

I believe that Cider Vinegar is an amazing remedy for just naturally cleansing out our bodies, not just breaking down fat. Bath in it too. Try a full cup in a bath and massage cellulite. You will need to increase your water intake. I weigh 140 pounds now and I drink almost a gallon of water a day.

I just started Oil Pulling for my overall health and dental since I don't have a fortune to spend on my teeth.

I commented on my own weight loss about a year ago. But, I wanted to tell you that I told a group of men whom I was having dinner with about ACV for weight loss. I was really telling them b/c one of their wives was ill and I thought it could help her and then I told them about your site and my weight loss. 10 months latter I get a phone call from one of the guys (who is about 45y/o) and he is going on and on about how much he loves ACV.
