I just stumbled upon this site and think it's great. I found all of the posts to give valuable/knowledgeable info. (unlike many other sites being hit or miss with informed vs mis-informed info. ). Dr. Majid Ali has much info. on castor oil also (just search his name re: the item of interest).

To all who write; stay well and keep feeding us with valuable/knowledgeable info. From all who read.

Maybe that's what the new EC book is for? It is discounted until Mother's Day but shipping is a little high ($4). Free shipping on Amazon but then you have to order $25 worth of merchandise.

But I agree it would be nice to see a quick summary at the top of each ailment page for the busy or for the poor.

As much as I love this site, I feel as though I am missing something. For example, my son has a sore throat and I wanted to come up with a natural remedy for him. I can see that cayenne pepper is the most popular remedy and that there should be a recipe posted somewhere but I can never find the recipe to any of the cures. I don't always have time to search through all of the postings.

Can you give me some advice on how to zone in on Ted from Bangkok's advice or the recommended recipes for different ailments?

Hi Liz, many thanks for your well wishes! I came here today for the first time because the last month has been very difficult and came across your message! Evreything went well but the health care here in Switzerland is not as good as I expected, at least not in the clinic where I was.

Recovery is very slow and very painful. I still take pain killers everyday, something I hate but I can't do without. Physio is also terrible but I have to do it so my husband helps me, otherwise I give up! Best wishes to you all! Thanks again..... All positive thoughts help a lot!

Hope that your arm surgery went well, and that your recuperation has been a comfortable one. (Or at least tolerable.) Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Just have to say a big thank you for this site. I have been so blessed by this site.

I have found help for a horrible cough my son had, a cold sore, sty, plus the main help my depression/energy level after getting off of pain meds prescribed by the VA for over 2 years! The VA wanted me to go on Wellbuterin but after 2 days I felt so sick on it I was desparate to find something else, something more natural. I goggled and came upon your site. Found the wonder of ACV and have been singing the praises of it and this site since. SO THANK YOU!!!! Thank you! :)

~Chandra mom to 4 children who have all benefited from this site also! :)

Helpful TIP; you can resolve "too much oil" by simply putting a different type of oil in your hair (ideally coconut; or sesame, grapeseed, or even peanut, mayo/veginaise); then rinsing 5-7 times with alternating hot/cold water. If you dont like cold water while showering, just then kneel down to do the rinsing; or stand up and do the warm rinse then just bend over and plunge your head under the cold faucet for the cold rinse; then turn the warm shower back on (while keeping you head leaned forward somewhat so the cold water doesn't run down your back); rinse again, repeat.

For reference: Coconut oil is best since it penetrates the hair shaft and prevents damage from combing, reducing protein loss remarkably, for both undamaged and damaged hair, when used as a pre-wash and post-wash grooming product. Research abstract here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12715094

I have been avoiding shampoo and conditioner lately and washing my hair in borax and acv. I put some olive oil in my hair the other day (a bit too much and am having trouble washing it out). I resorted to buying some shampoo and conditioner so I could wash the oil out.

I happened to glance at the ingredients on the back of the bottles.

I wonder why EDTA, which is a metal chelator (including essential metals/minerals), Citric Acic which is related to MSG (a excitotoxin), and Sodium Chloride (salt) is being added to these products?

I have since read that EDTA is being added to lots of foods and drinks as well!

No wonder we are getting sicker! Anyway I didn't use them.. they are going in the bin.

Moral of the story - read your labels.

I just received the latest Earth Clinic newsletter and, as always, it's filled with great information. Deirdre Layne (founder of Earth Clinic) posted a video link on how to make ascorbate Vitamin C. Very informative and it was lovely to finally "meet" Deirdre! Thanks again for such a wonderful Web site. Cheers, Bess

Tina, thanx for this post.

No matter how hard one may try to eradicate the ethics behind any issue or activity, it's not possible. But the money is so absolutely enticing that most folks cannot help but leave the subject of right & wrong behind. Thousands of people are millionaires and living extremely lavish lifestyles by their employment in the medical/pharmaceutical industry. With bought legal & political clout on their side AND the support of the masses, it's really heaven on earth.

In case you missed it earlier, please READ: "WebMD, Not the Independent Health Source You Expected".

WebMD is the gigantic, pro-pill web site whose original partner was Eli Lilly. (yep, pharmaceutical manufacturer).

The WebMD Health empire includes the following subsidiaries:

Drugs.com
Medscape
MedicineNet
eMedicine / eMedicine Health
RxList
theHeart.org

Even more interesting: The first-ever partnership between the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a private company is with, you guessed it, WebMD!

Conflict of interest in this so-called independent health advisor?

You decide...

All these sites say ask your Dr. first before trying something different. I have found most Dr.s to be professional idiots who just prescribe drugs. I refuse to take drugs from Dr.s unless I am very desperate. With all the side effects of drugs I won't touch them. I have cured most of my problems naturally through trial and error and have gotten off any medication from Dr.s.
