Bad Breath

I had a problem of Bad breath for many years now. I had mints all over the place to make sure I had them all the time. I brushed my teeth after every meal and yet within an hour the bad breath was back. Then I came across Sharon's advice last week. Tried it and it WORKED!!! No bad breath from then on. Amazing! I rinsed my mouth in ordinary peroxide for about 2 minutes. Yes, my tongue was a bit sore. I rinsed after lunch and didn't have dinner-- I wasnt hungry, just so very happy. Next day my tongue was back to normal. Thank you very much, Sharon! It has changed my life. A question: Do you think it is okay to have a quick peroxide rinse everyday morning? Does it harm the teeth enamel in any way?

Snoring

I have been using Nasonex (a prescription nasal spray) for the past ten years or so based on the recommendation of a family doctor) to alleviate my snoring. After viewing a recent E-mail that listed the many benefits of 3% hydrogen peroxide, I filled an empty Nasonex pump and have given myself the H2O2 for the past 3 nights. My wife reports no snoring. Short test but promising?

EC: We wrote asking for further clarification. Bob responded back: "I converted a used (empty) Nasonex pump and used it for a single shot into each nostril. Don't be surprised if the user sneezes several times after each application."

Broad Benefits

I read a book about hydrogen peroxide, and started using it for cleaning out my mouth and brushing my teeth. Since the book said that it was harmless, I started swallowing it. I was using regular 3% from the drugstore. I swallowed probably 3-4 fairly large gulps a day for weeks (you do get used to the taste). Sometimes I'd put it in a glass of water and sip at it. My energy level definitely improved, as did my digestion and elimination.

Another time, I put on a white shirt and discovered it had blood stains on it from working out in the yard. The stains was really set since I had washed the shirt. Being too lazy to change shirts, I soaked the spot with straight hydrogen peroxide while still wearing the shirt. The stain was very set but getting a little lighter, so I kept soaking it over and over till the stain was pretty much gone. It seemed like the skin under this soaked shirt was getting softer and lighter. Now about ten days later, you can still see on my skin where the hydrogen peroxide had been soaking it. There's a line across my arm... on the one side my aging sun/weather damaged skin with age spots... on the other side lighter, more supple, soft skin (almost like a baby's skin), with the age spots definitely lighter in color too.

I was reading on here about taking a bath with hydrogen peroxide and it seemed like kind of a good idea in view of the above experience, so I gave that a shot. About 5 hours later now, I feel just generally a little healthier, and the skin on my face feels very soft and is not getting oily as it usually does. I will definitely be doing this several times a week from now on. I used 8 oz of regular 3% from the drugstore in the bath.

I had a severe chest infection and plugged left ear. After 2 rounds of antibiotics I got better but was left with dizziness and deafness and a ticking noise in left ear. I had lost 50% hearing. That was 2 years ago. I started using h202 in both ears about 1 year ago and noticed right away it cured the ticking and in time no more dizziness. I noticed about 2 months ago. I can hear perfectly in both ears. I am a great beleiver in hydrogen peroxide. Also my husband and I don't get sick much anymore. Thanks for the great site. linda c. canada

I have been using the h2o2 drops in my ears for 2 years now. Since that time I have been cold and flu free. I used to get them 2x a year plus terrible sinus infections. What a relief! I share it with everyone, even total strangers in stores if I see they have a cold.

I use Hydrogen Peroxide when flossing my teeth. Mix the HP 50:50 with warm water and close your mouth tightly while you are flossing. I used the reach flossing thing and it worked really good. Just try it. HP is as good if not better and cheaper than name brand mouth wash. It helps with gum disease.

I have found that peroxide in the ear can stop a cold even after it starts. I lucked up when doing this method, I didn't know about these home remedies then, I was just off from work because I was sick and decided to clean out my ears because I had extra time. Gargling might help to break up irritation and mucus in the throat. I say this because my ears nose and mouth don't seem to be as closed off from on another as the average person. After adding peroxide in my ears, I immediately tasted it in my mouth (really in the back of my throat). It felt like I needed to belch, and when I did, all the stuff in my throat came up. It was weird for me but it does seem to break up and stop symptoms of colds.

Circulation

Alright, so I read about H2O2 therapy and decided to get some 35% food grade HP for general detox. My wife agreed to try it as well. Not one for small starts, I gave her and myself the full 25 drops diluted in water on an empty stomach. Very unpleasant for me, but much worse for her. She threw up after about 20 minutes and said it was the worst vomiting episode she had ever experienced. She then when back to bed and slept the rest of morning and was wiped out most of the day. Next day, I get her to take 5 drops in water and that proves stable for her. Again 5 drops 2x more that day. Day three, while we are out for breakfast she tells me that her feet are so hot they are tingling and are purple. Now I must explain why this is significant. My wife has suffered from very poor circulation since early teen years. This has presented in ice cold hand and feet at rest, even in summer. Winter nights will find her under many layers of bedding, with sweats, space heater running and sometimes a sock cap. Near the point of comedy, if it were not so miserable for her. I have tried her on cayenne and L-Arginine, which helped some, but was not a cure.

So three days after taking H2O2 for the first time, she found herself with hands and feet that were burning up and purplish red from some new found circulation. This condition proved painful and she started holding her hands under cold water occasionally and only wearing flip-flops as shoes were unbearable. This overheated condtion lasted around three weeks and then subsided. Now another three weeks have passed and her circulation appears to be very normal. She is now wearing light bed clothing and will kick the covers off in the night, which is very different. She says that her circulation problems appear to be over. She is no longer taking the peroxide as it was just too upsetting on her stomach overall.

A sidenote, she has had significant constipation issues her whole life, and the weeks she was taking the HP, she became very regular, sometime having a BM 3x per day. Now that she has stopped the HP, she has started to become irregular again. Time will tell if the HP has cured her circulation issues, especially this winter. Will try to follow up this winter regarding. For me, it has been good. I have no major health issues, just overweight, which has a cure, but it is not HP unfortunately. (smile) I was extremely tired after taking HP the first few day and slept a lot. Now I am taking 25 drops once every other day. It is quite an energy booster and my allergies have been down significantly. Very impressed, and will continue to use it. Ted's comment that lecithin caps will ease the nausea has worked well for me, and I may get some benefit from the lecithin on weight loss as well.

Sure doctors don't want to lose Money, Myself I am not afraid to try things that does truly works when tring somthing you first have to take Baby steps to see what fits good luck to all and good health. I put full strength on my shins and add a little soap it at first it burned a little, now I can get it on my fingers it does not bother me any more guess I am immune to 35% H/P. Have Faith!

My ND told me it is fine for me take food grade 3%hydrogen peroxide, and I can work my way to more drops. Start with one. For those of you who are concerned with safety, or are uncertain if it has stabilizers, then seriously consider other oxygen like cell food, liquid oxygen, or oxy blast, do your research. I would go with similar product that is specifically made for humans.

I got some info about using hydrogen peroxide internally as a douche, however I did not research and for two days have been using a non measured dose of hp (the kind that was a dollar at the pharmacy) with distilled water. What is the damage that could be done?

Checking for Stabilizers in H2O2
Posted by Braveheart (Vancouver, Bc) on 05/28/2013

I used regular store hydrogen peroxide as a douche for a couple of nights when I had an infection and it was fine. Got rid of my infection. The only other think was to also put up vit. C 500mg not the chewable flavoured kind to restore the acidity and then a tablet of acidophilis to restore good bacteria. Gets rid of many vaginosis/yeast/stinky issues. I only did it about 3 times over a 2 year period but way better than taking antibiotics. Never tested for stabalizers or anything. I was fine. If you're bleeding and it is not your period time then you may have other issues, in my opinion, and you should go see your Dr. or try some nice soothing natural oils like conconut oil or olive oil up there to sooth the tissues.

How Peroxide Works
Posted by Cindy (Illinois, USA) on 11/19/2020 523 posts

Hey again Joe!!

I have plantar warts that I experiment on but it just occurred to me that my mother had the same and we both cut them down with razor blades, basically our whole lives, but she would cut into them, like with a cone shape, I didn't, but I remember her saying that her feet never felt better than when she cut too deep and hit a blood vessel but, given the info on the page you shared, it makes perfect sense, doesn't it? Because nicking a blood vessel would trigger the hydrogen peroxide response! She didn't do it on purpose but when she did it accidentally, she always got a much better effect.

Anyway, I've been experimenting on mine for years and I can get rid of them but I don't. I let them come back so I can experiment on them - anyway, I sprayed 3% hydrogen peroxide on a gauze pad and held it on there a few minutes and soaked a q-tip and wet it down real good before I put my sock and shoe back on and forgot about it. Until today and it's smaller AND softer. So I reapplied and will see what happens but the information you've shared pretty much changes everything - at least, for ME, in my quest to make it all as simple as possible by experimenting. It's like getting a brand new toy!! So, thanks again, Joe!! AND Earth Clinic, of COURSE!! Here, you gave me this awesome surprise present and I didn't get you ANYthing!! ROFL!!

How Peroxide Works
Posted by Cindy (Illinois, USA) on 11/20/2020 523 posts

Update on hydrogen peroxide I put on my plantar warts on left foot, two days in a row and this is my third day.

I just soaked a pad and put it on the warts for probably not even 2 minutes, day before yesterday, yesterday and just now but it's almost gone already!

I'm getting too old for this particular experiment and my daughter's becoming concerned about being unsteady on my feet so I'm going to try one more thing - aspirin first, on my other foot, aspirin paste first then the peroxide to see what happens but then I'm just going to finish them off.

It also occurs to me that the peroxide's effectiveness with the inhalation method may be for the same reason. As in, the lungs aren't bleeding which is what triggers production of the hydrogen peroxide that tells the brain to send help and, so, if you inhale it, it's there and, theoretically, that would trigger the brain to send help despite the absence of an injury and actually tackle the issue, whatever it might be. Pure speculation, obviously, but it sure makes me wonder...

H2O2 safety :

It has to be food grade H2O2. The bottle I bought is 12%, this has to be diluted down to a maximum of 3% . I am starting with 6 drops of the 12%, 3 times daily in half a pint of water, this is way under 3%, 3% is for mouthwash and external use .. I hope no one ever puts 12% H2O2 in their ear undiluted.

H2O2 Side Effects
Posted by Timh (Ky) on 05/26/2015 2048 posts

C: Yes, there are some conditions that can be aggravated by H2O2 therapy.

First up on beginning H2O2 is making sure the body is properly alkalized. Acidic conditions cause hypoxia and visa-versa, so always be sure to properly alkalize.

Here a list come-to-mind of conditions that have the potential for bad reaction (hydroxyl radicals etc): Heavy Metals are not removed or detoxed by Hydrogen Peroxide and can produce toxic free radicals if coming into contact, so always do proper H.M. cleanses prior to Oxygen therapy.

Another condition would be a fairly common one of Aldehyde poisoning as a byproduct of candida or fungal infections. I don't have a degree in biochemistry but this combination looks not good. Another but somewhat rare condition is Mallonic Acid poisoning as a byproduct of tapeworm disease, could be reactive to H2O2.

It seems plausible that H2O2 therapy could be used in small amounts long-term, otherwise it would be indicated in increasing amounts (up to 25 drops 3% 2x per day) in acute cases like infections or cancer.

There are also other products that provide additional oxygen delivery like MMS and CellFood. Ozone is superior to H2O2 in many respects but has several shortcomings like instability and difficult administration. Also, adding alkaline rich Sodium Chlorite drops to a beverage naturally increases oxygen within the body.

Immune Support, Multiple Symptoms
Posted by Jim (Frostburg) on 07/09/2016

Not to disagree in any way with Linda's posting about her own rare diagnosis, I'll just mention that, for so many others out there with swollen lymph nodes, this is a common effect of having a food allergy. As possible remedy, try dropping wheat from your diet for a week. If no change, the next week try dropping dairy.

Immune Support, Multiple Symptoms
Posted by Tracie (Mi) on 03/01/2018

Hello,

Ingesting the h2o2 breaks down some of the radicals in it. Try 1% in vaporizing at night and keep inhaling it with a fine mist nebulizer. This may have a better effect for you than ingesting it. Detox in a bath with h2o2 in it. It will absorb through your skin.

You can also do a regimen of drops a couple of times a day in your ears.

Ear and Sinus Issues
Posted by Karrie (Wi, US) on 02/09/2015

I recently had a terrible cold and used some hydrogen peroxide in my ears as they were tickly and I had a lot of post-nasal drip causing me to cough every few seconds. This has often helped me. This time, I let the hydrogen peroxide sit as normal, then drained it, but did not have a chance to lay on that side for long to completely drain. Next morning...slightly clogged ear, with slight hearing loss. Its been a few days with the clogged ear, I figured it would resolve itself. Now I noticed when I rub below the outside of my ear, it's a little tender...worried hydrogen peroxide got caught up in the ear canal and causing its own problem. Any advice?

Thanks

Ear and Sinus Issues
Posted by Joy (Kathu) on 02/09/2015

Hi karrie, have you tried tapping the area below your ear? This method does work well for sinus and ear probs, basically you just keep your head upright and use only light gentle taps with your middle finger all around the ear but especially under the lobe of the ear and this encourages drainage into your throat, there are many methods shown for this on utube. By the way it works for me. Good luck.

Ear and Sinus Issues
Posted by Karrie (Wi) on 11/01/2015

All was resolved with my ear, and I'm assuming the clogging was from the terrible cold I had. I did the tapping around my ear and it seemed to help get the draining going. I also did gentle heat from a heating pad. Dang, that was a really bad situation, I had no voice for weeks and also gargled diluted hydrogen peroxide which helped for that (3% strength generic from the grocery store), as did oil pulling. I also used the hydrogen peroxide in the humidifier in my bedroom....seemed to help with symptoms. I think that was the worst illness I've had since the '90s. I can not experience one like that for at least a decade or so! Be well everyone :)

Hi Angelika, It sounds to me like the antibiotics messed up your gut microbiome. Look into repairing that with probiotics. Also look into a low histamine diet as part of your healing process. I found that foods high in benzoates in particular and foods high in oxylates were causing me to have vestibular migraines which manifested as severe vertigo spells. Everyone is different, but I hope this info helps you find what you need to do for the dizziness. Good luck.

Mymindisnotme: To keep the blood clean, one needs to take kidney urinary cleanse periodically, as well as colon cleans, gallbladder cleans, and a parasite cleanse --each of these is suggested once yearly to prevent disease. Optimizing antioxidant nutrition is also very important in staying healthy. All this keeps the immune system in top shape.

Turmeric, Quercetin, Pinnapple, and Cold Water Fish like Salmon, Mackeral, and Sardines (Oil) are all very good anti-inflammatory. Bee Pollen starting in very small amounts then working up to 1 or 2 spoons daily is a very beneficial "superfood".

Is using distilled water essential to the effectiveness of the treatment? I noticed my 3% hydrogen peroxide is mixed with distilled water but couldn't manage to find any so have been using de-ionised water instead but after 6 dips have seen no real improvement.

Am I rendering it pointless by using the de-ionised water?

Food Grade Peroxide and Pregnancy
Posted by Mama To Many (Tennessee, Usa) on 11/18/2013

Dear Concious Cafe,

Personally, I am not sure I would use Hydrogen Peroxide internally during pregnancy. I have used many natural remedies during pregnancy and generally find them to be very safe and supportive of pregnancy. Usually they are much safer for mom and baby than medical alternatives. However, there are herbs and natural remedies that are contra-indicated during pregnancy. I just don't know about hydrogen peroxide, so I would feel safest not using it.

Is there a specific condition you are trying to treat? Perhaps there is something that is known to be safe that you could use instead.

Let my comments be a side-effect caution: I began the ramp up treatment of 3 drops of 35% peroxide and adding a drop a day doing this only one time a day. I got up 13 drops, stayed on it a few days, and decided to go back down a drop a day. When I got down to a low dose, I started having sudden anxiety attacks and depression which I thought were due to losing my office due to sickness and not being able to work and my wife working now all the time to make up the difference and a separation anxiety from that. For two weeks it has been a problem and it hit me hardest last night. I had bad anxiety, but realized also that I had lightheadedness. I thought that perhaps I was hyperventilating so I breathed in a plastic bag (could not find paper) for several minutes and then again, and the overwhelming anxiety lifted completely. I was surprised that worked so well that I would recommend it to any sudden anxiety that appears to see if it would help despite not recognizing it as hyperventilation.
