Very simply, Kapal Bhati Pranayam Yoga is the practice of forceful exhalation. Practitioners are to breathe in normally but then should exhale as quickly and fully as possible. This activates the abdominal muscles, massages the organs of the abdomen, and strengthens the lower back muscles. At a pace of about 2 seconds per breath, you want at first to practice this form of yogic breathing for about one minute. Slowly over time you can increase to a continuous five minutes of practice in this yoga form each day.
