Another factor that you may not realize is that cold showers reduce, if not stop, the vaporization of chlorinated water that is in most municipal water systems.

I have for years now taken luke warm showers at the start and after rinsing off soap I end the shower with a cold rinse. In the summer up here in the last frontier I bath in the creek behind my cabin with just the sand gravel from the bank while using baking soda for washing my hair. I have noticed that I have no B O even without any soaps or deodorants.

I have been taking cold showers for about five years now. I can't imagine starting my day without it. All my friends think I'm nuts, but I feel revitalised and everyone always comments on the sheen on my hair. (I'm not sure if this is related or not). However, I love it and thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

one of my new year's resolutions was to take cold showers in the morning. today is the 31st day in a row and I am hooked. I recommend it to everyone. I read somewhere that cold showers were good for the health. I feel alert, energetic and empowered. from now on it's cold showers until the day I die. "it is all in the mind "I tell myself constantly while taking the cold shower. Forget hot water.

My friend Calvin told me about cold showers a few weeks ago. I thought "out of his mind!!!" Though as the weeks progressed he kept exclaiming how great they are, so today I tried a cold shower. Cold showers are totally awesome. The best part is when the body adjusts to the temperature of the cold water and once that happens, it's a totally enjoyable experience. Once you finish the cold shower, no matter how cold the bathroom is, you will forever appreciate the temperature of the room. It's the warm tingly feeling of your body adjusting to the room's temperature, which also feels good too! After having a hot shower, the bathroom always feels so cold, now it's the opposite and it totally rocks!

I know a man who suffered a heart attack at the age of 45. He lives near the beach and started to take a bath in the ocean every day, even in the winter. He is 93 now! He claims he never even had a cold since he started.

Recently I have just started taking cold showers. Now after 3 months, my mood and health feel incredible! I'm addicted to cold showers, they feel so refreshing and relaxing, it feels like i'm under a waterfall. Before I started taking cold showers, I used to suffer from fatigue and after the first cold shower my mood and health feel 100%.

Definitely try the cold shower along with the cold bath to lower blood pressure. My wife knows this Russian secret for youth and longevity. This is it. I am more vigorous, awake, and relaxed after a cold shower or cold bath. Also, try the cold warm rotation method. Sit in the cold bath for a few minutes (yes, submerge your head for a few seconds) and then have the shower fairly warm and do this several times. WOW!!

OMG, I feel like I've discovered the HOLY GRAIL! I'm taking 5 cold showers a day, sometimes 4. I didn't expect to be in the city again and have temporarily ended up in San Jose, Costa Rica, after having been in the country near Nicaragua for 3 months chillin' in nature. It's an armpit of a city and very noisy and my nervous system goes into overdrive in this kind of environment and I get rashes! Anyway, I know 5 cold showers might seems excessive but it totally calms me down, brings me to life, washes away a lot of the over stimulation feeling (which can drive a person mad with hyperactivity) and keeps the rashes down to ZERO! WOOHOO! Whenever I start to feel messed up, i just hop in the shower and zZIP, I've got a whole new body and outlook!

Improves Circulation

I just wanted to share with all of you that I started taking ice cold showers out of necessity. During my pregnancies I've always had problems with circulation in my legs, bloating, soreness, etc. Well, where I live at the moment I can't find any support hose and I heard that cold showers were good for improving circulation. Well, I cannot begin to explain the benefits, "good" just doesn't cut it. Before the showers, I couldn't be on my feet for long during these hot summer days and the pain was unbearable. Now, after my ice cold shower in the morning, I'm on my feet all day and have absolutely no problem. Never felt better. I do take a catnap, but that's normal when you're preggo!

My body hums, vibrates with energy, after a cold shower, very obviously so when I take one just before bed .I lie down on nice clean sheets with a fresh feeling that honestly makes me feel like a kid again. I feel sensual, youthful, trim and slim after a cold shower. As a professional artist my color palette has become brighter, cleaner and more like freshly squeezed fruit juice than in past. My ideas have opened up, become more playful and light hearted. I have opened up more to other people which has attracted new clients into my business life. I have no interest in hot showers. The thought of standing under hot water is actually unpleasant to me now. I love stepping under the flow of water that feels like plunging into ocean. You get the same rush of electricity from a cold shower as you do in large bodies of water. I wish that I had known about them years ago .They have changed my entire outlook on life which is helping the world because I am more loving, open and kind to the people that I come into contact with. I am also more tolerant of situations that used to drive me into states of serious anxiety.

I came across cold shower benefits because of this war and the HIGH gas prices. I used electric heat in the winter but continued to use gas for my hot showers. After receiving a gas bill about $100 for some hot bath water I was DONE! It actually wasn't that bad when I started. I would adjust the hot water as if it was there - Mental thing...LOL! My skin was already nice but NOW it is sooo much smoother and soft! I feel so energized after my cold showers. I notice that when I get ready for one my body actually increases in temperature. I feel hot and can't wait to get in there. I do still take them that time of the month - It doesn't bother me at all. I am glad I am not the only one doing this...I was feeling crazy! But I am glad that it really does help with other things. This is really great!

I was reading all the wonderful things about cold showers so I had to try it. It isn't the greatest feeling in the world at all, especially living in not-so-hot climate. Once you get out of the shower, you feel like you have unlimited energy and feel absolutely great. I actually had a hangover today, took a cold shower and felt a lot better after and my head ache was gone also and I'm at work feeling great.

Stress-Induced Psoriasis

After the death of two very close friends and a lot of stress, I ended up with stress induced psoriasis all over my head, neck and shoulder. I tried EVERYTHING OTC and nothing worked so finally, I gave up, and started saving money to go to the doctor. I came across the cold water therapy on this site and although I did not intend to use it to treat this issue, it sure cured it. I started taking cold water showers in the hottest months here in Virginia. Immediately I noticed the increase in energy and my hair is SUPER SOFT even after months of harsh psoriasis shampoos that had my hair turning to straw. Call me crazy, but it seems my shower doesn't get as grimy as it did before when I was using hot water. My complexion has improved, and there is an obvious difference in my pores. Basically, I have nothing bad to say about cold showers. After 2 months of them, I can't even STAND a hot shower now.
