When I got food poisoning last night at 4am I had no AVC, but i did have distilled white vinegar. I had my husband pour a tall glass of water with 1 tbsp of white vinegar and I drank about 2/3rd's of it. Normally when I get food poisoning I'm in the bathroom for 5-6 hours throwing up and having terrible stomach pain. Last night I throw up only twice. I was able to leave the bathroom after an hour of waiting and my terrible tummy pain weakened after two hours.Three hours after it started I was sleeping again, and even though I still feel somewhat weak today I'm really glad I remembered to use it last night.

My mother, father, and grandmother use white vinegar for muscle cramps. When one attacks - they get a couple of paper towels and pour the white vinegar on til soaked and apply directly to the cramp. This works everytime. Hope it helps others.

I was going on a tip from a friend that the acid in vinegar should neutralize acid reflux. I think I may have overdone it as I took about 3/4 of a shot glass and downed it. Yes it tasted awful and I thought I'd be sick but I drank some water and so far, so good. It's been about an hour and it hasn't hurt yet. The big test is in bed. I'm going to bed right away so I hope the pain stays away so I can get a good night's sleep. Will try ACV instead for next time.

For Poison Ivy: Mix baking soda and distilled white vinegar to make a paste (will foam up), rub on infected area. It will burn but will dry up the rash in no time. reapply as needed.

I was able to break a fever using white vinegar on cloths placed on my throat & both wrists. Yes, it did smell but it broke my 104 degree temp in no time. Amazing!

1. Aspirin first, it will reduce the pain.
2. A cool wet compress will also make you feel better instantly.
3. Soak in a tub of cool water and add a cup of white vinegar to the bath. It helps a lot.

Because of such a severe case of contact dermatitis from overuse of yeast medicines, I was left unable to walk or sit comfortably, and my skin was too sensitive for any topical medications, and oral cortisone only worked temporarily. My mother suggested using 4 tbs. of white vinegar with some juice to kill the taste. I'm glad to tell you that the vinegar, along with rest, has put me on the road to recovery in only 4 days after battling this illness for 4 months!

I have the terrible habit of chewing my cuticles and notoriously they will bleed and get sore and infected. I soak them in white vinegar and although it stings, the pain subsides almost immediately and infection never sets in.

I read one time about white vinegar for dog ear yeast. Mine has allergies and it shows up frequently getting expensive as vets wanted to see him everytime I needed a new tube. I first clean the waxy build up with a water moistened qtip not going deep then put vinegar on a cotton ball and rub it around the inside of ears, not going deep as it runs into the ear. Dog will shake his head. I do it for a few days until the ear is no longer red with no more wax.I love this site. Thanks everyone!

re: Apple cider vinegar for yeast in dogs. My dog has had allergies and yeast for years. I just recently found out when you have yeast you must have more acidic foods than alkaline. I used ACV for years with horrible results but the white vinegar is non alkaline so it works much better. Hope this helps someone.
