1 teaspoon of ground organic turmeric, mixed with 1 tablespoon of Virgin Coconut Oil and a dash of grounded pepper (because it is reported that it enhances by 20% or more the properties of turmeric).
As far as feeling any relief of ulcers or gallbladder related, there were none (as I said, I had already taken other natural remedies for the ulcers and found relief but the symptoms for gallbladder did not match my ailment). But in just one week, my sinuses cleared completely (a problem I have had for over 10 years, sneezing, blowing my nose first thing in the morning and 3 or 4 times during the rest of the day). Then I noticed an improvement in my mood, feeling motivated, energized, a general feeling of wellbeing and feeling positive, no anxiety at all.
But here is the amazing thing that happened.
I am 66 years old and have been noticing for the last 6 or so years a problem with my memory. I cannot remember names, hard as I try to memorize them, to give a silly example; I see a movie, look up the name of the actors but 10 mins after I cannot remember the names. I enjoy reading, but it's hard for me to remember name of books and authors, etc. Well, a week (only! ) after taking turmeric (the mixture detailed above), I was watching a movie and looked up the names of some of the actors. Then I went back to the movie, and as I saw them I said to myself, this is so and so, and this other guy is so and so… and I was bewildered. I said to myself, this is not right, I don't remember names. But I did! So I tried a little exercise I have been struggling with these past 6 years (to test and improve my memory): the phonetic alphabet: A is for Alfa, B is for Bravo, C is for Charile, D is for Delta, etc. I have never managed these last years to memorize it, best I've done is 15 out of 28, after a day spent trying. So I looked it up, read diligently (memorized) for a minute, then went back to my movie. Then, an hour later, took a pencil and paper and wrote the phonetic alphabet. Results? 28 out of 28! And 10 days later I can remember it as well as the name of the actors and other stuff I've been learning since then.
This was a week ago. Naturally I am still taking the turmeric mixture (I will do so for the rest of my life! ). I can now memorize names, news, events, etc. etc. Lost memories have come back, my vocabulary is enriched (the words were there, stored in my brain, but I could not find them…)
Do a search on the Internet on the benefits of turmeric, it's a long list, but most importantly, it's good for memory loss and Alzheimer's. Studies have shown that the incidence of Alzheimer's is very low in India because the eat curry all the time, a main ingredient is turmeric. Read about the brain-blood barrier; turmeric is one of the few substances that penetrate the brain.
I am telling this story in the hopes of helping people with memory problems but mostly to give back to Earth Clinic that has been a life-saver to me for many years now.
Feel free to ask questions, I will be following my posting for a month or two every few days to answer questions.
Cheers, Connie

Even the NIH, National Institute of Health, has a warning: "Today, adulteration of turmeric with lead chromate, which is vibrant yellow, is a concern in India and Bangladesh. In this commentary, we summarize a growing body of evidence indicating that turmeric containing excessive concentrations of lead is available for purchase in US grocery stores and that childhood lead-poisoning cases attributable to consumption of contaminated turmeric have occurred in the United States. We hypothesize that turmeric is being intentionally adulterated with lead to enhance its weight, color, or both."
So, look for turmeric that has the organic seal on the label.

Thanks so much for sharing this information! I am sure it will be helpful to many people!
I wonder if the coconut oil is also contributing to the improvement in your memory? It is reported to be helpful to the brain and helpful to for memory issues.
Thanks again!

Hi Mama To Many, I definitely think that the Virgin Coconut Oil is part of the reason why this has worked for me, since VCO is also excellent for the brain.
Hi Ski, I had gastrointestinal problems, inflammation and burning sensation (ulcers?). I started taking 1 tsp of Cayenne three times a day. I experienced relief the very first day and three days after I had no pain at all. I will be taking cayenne for at least a month.

Last month, I talked to a pregnant friend that I hadn't talked to in about a month. She asked me if she'd told me that she's having a boy. I said yes, but the truth is, I -couldn't- remember if she'd told me. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. I don't know. I'll have to go back through texts to see if we ever discussed it. But it seems like the sort of thing I should recognize as new information or not.
I had a friend over the other night and she launched into a story that was new to me. Rang no bells at all. The friend informed me that she'd told me this story no less than four times before. That one was scary. And you know what's funny? Right now, I couldn't even tell you what that story was that I've now heard four times.
I used to forget to call people back when I missed their phone calls... All... The time. If I wasn't in a position to call them back immediately, I'd get distracted and then totally forget they'd called at all. It actually made a few friends angry with me.
In general, I feel like my memory is getting better, perhaps because I've stopped drinking and partying so much, and because I'm aware of it and am actively practicing trying to remember things. But I still find myself disappointed every time I just can't do it and would love to give it a boost.
Thanks so much for the suggestion!

I use a tablespoon of Virgin Coconut Oil, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, and a dash of pepper. I let it rest for 10 mins so the pepper interacts with the turmeric (pepper increases the benefits of the turmeric). Personally, I find it very delicious. I take it twice a day.

Just talked about this subject in a post a few days ago. You did good.

I'd like to see your list of specific situations, if you don't mind... I was pretty wild when I was 30, partied and drank too much... that doesn't help with memory recollection? But I wouldn't worry, 30 years later I am doing pretty well, but I did begin to take more care of my health the last ten years, looking for natural remedies, taking vitamins supplements, eating healthier and stuff. Take care, Connie

The ACV is Omega Nutrition. The VCO, I've tried different brands, the one I am buying now is only available here in Canada (brand by a popular grocery store). My recommendation is to make sure that you are buying VirginCoconut Oil, and ACV that is virgin and has the mother in it.

Thanks so much!

You might want to see if there is a Penzeys Spices near you. I get all our spices there and I think they are reasonably priced. 1-800-741-7767.

Are you still taking the turmeric and coconut oil? How did you take it? On its own or mixed with some other drink .. Hope all is going well with your memory. I'm going to try this but not sure about getting it down without gagging. Thanks for your help, Gail
