No More Eye Fluid - Question for MtM

Posted by Mama to Many (Tennessee) on 05/18/2024

Dear Stephanie,

I imagine you have done a lot of research and tried many things...but I will give a few ideas.

Stay very well hydrated. Avoid coffee, sadly.

Use a humidifier, especially at night.

Use over the counter eye drops for moisture, like Refresh.

Herbalist Susun Weed suggests oat straw infusion to improve moisture. She also suggests steeped chamomile tea bags over closed eyes to improve moisture. If chamomile tea gets in the eye it is very safe.

Nutribiotic sells a throat spray that I used to use for dry mouth in the middle of the night. Obviously not for the eyes, but you mention a dry mouth, too.

Anti-inflammatory diet

Vitamins D and C

If perimenopause is an issue, you could try natural progesterone. Source Naturals or Now brands are ones I have used with good results.

Turmeric internally for inflammation.

If I think of anything else I will write again.

I hope you find something on this list or elsewhere that gives you some relief!

No More Eye Fluid - Question for MtM

Dear Mama To Many,

Do you know of anything that I can use for dry eyes? Moisturizing eye drops? Or homemade? Anything to get my body to produce eye fluid? Externally or internally?

I am trying maqui berry extract capsules, that Art researched.

Castor oil dries my eyes immensely.

I have not had 1 drop of eye fluid for a few weeks now. It is scary, I will lose my eyesight. I have had severe sjogrens for many years. And was slowly losing my eyesight, but a few weeks ago, I stopped producing eye fluid completely. It can be from peri or menopause, or cancer, or because my liver and other organs are failing, so many things can contribute. I would try any ideas that you can think of, to get eye, nose, mouth fluid again. It's unbearable without fluid. Thank you!

I have absolutely ZERO eye fluid.

I will try the coconut oil also.

Thank you!

I had stopped using pink salt because of recent articles about lead levels in it. There is a recipe for the adrenal cocktail that includes pink salt. I'm glad you have had good results. :)

Hi there,

I am a raging fan of this remedy. Don't rinse it out. After doing it I will rinse the vulva outside with shower water just to reduce the irritation on the outside. Usually once daily for 3 days resolves any issues I have. 7 days in a row if you are in the thick of a really back resistant case and your acidic state does not return.

Pink Himalayan Salt

I have had brain fog for awhile and chalked it up to bad sleep hygiene, sometimes I don't even get to sleep until 4 or 5AM in the morning, had a bad routine from working night shifts throughout my life.

Today, my mom was dumping salt on her fries like she has her WHOLE LIFE. I decided to put about a half teaspoon (tsp.) in my water that I drink when I'm eating my meal for the day. Within the first few sips I started feeling energized and now that my glass is completely empty the brain fog is completely GONE. I'm almost in shock, since I've dealt with brain fog and tiredness for at least 10 years now.

I then read this article below about how Salt (Sea Salt / Pink Salt / Pink Himalayan Salt, etc..) are all good for ADRENAL FATIGUE. Read below

Can I suggest Carditone. Art has been a champion of it and I tried it for Afib starting a month ago and it has worked. Expensive but I am now taking it one every two day.

Probiotics for Tonsil Stones

I suffered from tonsil stones for a few years. It was getting progressively worse to the point where people would turn away while I was talking to them and it was really affecting my self esteem. What finally worked for me was taking oral probiotics with the strain Blis K12. I noticed a big difference in just 2 days and by about day 5 I was still getting tonsil stones but they were odorless. I would also brush my tonsils with diluted grapefruit seed oil to help. It has been about a 2 months since I have been taking the probiotics and it has cured the problem. I got ill and didn't take the probiotics for a few days and the problem came back so I will never be without oral probiotics again. I take 2 pills in the afternoon (you just let them dissolve in your mouth) and 2 after brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash at night. I hope this helps someone as much as it has helped me.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) for Eye Floaters

I'm sorry I don't remember the dose of ALA I took, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. A local health food store owner recommended it to me and said it had cured several of her customers who had floaters. She recommended taking it with Vit C. My floaters were gone in 4-5 days.

Hi Misty -

I think Timh may be referring to ConcenTrace Minerals.

https://www.traceminerals.com/products/concentrace-trace-mineral-drops-8-oz

I've been using it for many years to remineralize my distilled water.

You can get it at health food stores, water supply stores that sell jugs of distilled water, Walmart used to (don't know if they still do), online, etc.

Cheers,

Tessa

Re : Melatonin's Topical Benefits: 40 Ways It Soothes Pain And One Benefit Confirmed In Human Study

Item #4 mentions that one of my friends found significant relief for migraine headaches which usually last them about a week and now are over in less than a day. This new study (May, 2024) adds confirmation to the idea that melatonin relieves migraine headaches as discussed here :

https://ijms.sums.ac.ir/article_49688.html

Here is a relevant study quote :

' Our study shows that melatonin was more efficacious than the placebo in the reduction of frequency and duration of migraine attacks. It was equally safe as the placebo and might be effective in the preventive treatment of episodic migraine in adults. '

Garlic has a long history of use for the prevention of parasites in the GI tract. Dioscorides (40-90 AD) the chief physician for Nero's army, In his well respected medical text, Materia Medica, Dioscorides recommended garlic to expel worms and parasites from the body. Culpepper said: Garlic kills the worms in children.

It is recommended to eat garlic daily and garlic enema are beneficial to remove parasites from the intestinal tract. Garlic is a powerful antibacterial and anti-parasitic which is a tremendous aid to your digestive tract. The garlic cloves contain a germicidal agent that kills parasites and their eggs.

As a general guide, the Amish say that consuming 2 cloves of garlic is considered a medical dose. Taken 3-4 times daily.

Garlic will cure your candida problem “if taken long enough”, I make a very strong ‘Garlic Immune Support Tonic' for people to drink and it works everything.

For your toe nail fungus. If your nails are yellow, spray them with Listerine mouthwash ‘original' the yellow liquid 2x daily for about a month for good results.

  Cinnamon and Honey for Arthritis

On January 17, 1995, Beatrice Dexter's article about the benefits of honey and cinnamon powder appeared in The Weekly World News. It was the tabloid sold at the grocery store checkout line, with headlines like “Bat Boy” and “I Married Bigfoot.”… I miss those papers; they were hilarious.

https://books.google.fm/books?id=B_IDAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false

Arthritis patients should take, twice a day (morning and night), a cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken regularly, even chronic arthritis can be cured.

A research at the Copenhagen University observed doctors treating their patients with a mixture of 1 tbsp honey and 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder before breakfast. Within a week, out of the 200 people treated, 73 patients were totally relieved of pain; within a month, almost all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain. Arthritis patients should take, twice a day (morning and night), a cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken regularly, even chronic arthritis can be cured.

I've been taking Ceylon cinnamon (sticks ground into a powder using my coffee grinder). I've been at it now for 2 1/2 weeks and I can tell a difference. My joints are not as stiff. I plan on doing this for a full 6 weeks and I'll report back with results.

Need Remedies for Rope Worms

Hi

I have had gastrointestinal issues for decades, but the last 6 days have been very difficult. my belly looks pregnant, am almost 63 and not heterosexually active so it is impossible. I feel pregnant almost hard to walk, hard to eat cause soooo full feeling, bloated gas and though I poop I keep straining and feels like always more needs to come out. I see worms or what look like worms, some between 10 and 20 inches long. the herbalist says they are rope worms. I take mimosa picuda and they slide out with that. if I dont take it, they dont come out. I have been badly blocked before and hospitilized a few years back. I have tried olive oil and lemon juice, water enemas, a sesame oil enema which left me feeling dizzy, salt water cleanses, fennel and chamomile tea, a paste of gluten free asafoetida ( hing) and Indian condiment. and am going to try a tea made of fennel, coriander, cumin and ajwain seeds. I also tried a glycerin suppository in my rectum. I still feel bloated and full. any ideas please on the full feeling pregnant like belly and the rope worms. I want to get rid of them but they cannot come out too fast or I get blocked and it is dangerous. thank you so much. I also have lyme disease and candida and fungal toenails. thank you for responding. I cant eat grains cause they block me up or beans.
