A very big thanks to all women who posted their story and to earth clinic for this wonderful site. Mama to Many I will always ask God to bless you.

The last time I asked a question was in March 2014 when I was almost due for delivery but the ovarian cyst was 16cm and my gyn was bent on surgery. I continued taking apple cider, beet root and molasses. Later, she asked me to go for MRI, surprisingly, nothing was found. My son was successfully delivered vaginally in April.

Today, I am completely free from ovarian cyst and my 3rd baby on the way (16 weeks). I give all glory to God.

Hi, I was a couple of months ago diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, an ultrasound scan found small cysts approx. 15mm on both ovaries and I've been experiencing pelvic pain.

After looking into natural remedies I started taking a teaspoon of Applecider vinegar in a small glass of water and black treacle (Black strap molasses UK equivalent) I made the black treacle into bonfire toffee to make it more palatable and took both twice a day. I also tried to improve my diet more fruit veg fish etc increase exercise plus took multi vitamins. I'm not sure whether any of the above helped but 2 months later all the cysts have gone. They may have gone on their own or some or all of the above may have helped. I still have some pelvic pain but not as severe.

Dear Shilpi,

I have used apple cider vinegar all through conception, pregnancy and breastfeeding with no problems at all.

I would use a tablespoon or two throughout the day. Just a capful of it into each glass of water I drank.

ACV and blackstrap don't cause ovulation to start. They feed the body so it will work better. Taking them may improve your health and allow ovulation to happen.

Also, look into hormone balancing herbs, borax, and a good diet. (Though not a diet high in animal products. Too many competing hormones, even in organic meats.)

Hi,

I hope someone reads this. Last month I went to the emergency room in agony and was told that my ovary was twisted, he seemed to assume I knew about it, well in any case today I went to a Gynecologist who informed me that it is the size of an"ORANGE".

Well I had been to see him four yrs ago and apparently he told me about the cysts, yet didn't say, "I want to keep an eye on these, see you in 3 months" or whatever, so now they want to perform a complete hysterectomy,

Also, I'm 70 yrs old and have never had an operation, I am petrified, do you think that the ACV and Molasses would help me?

While I was still having a period I never had cramps, they could boil me in oil and I would start every 28 days, so this really came out of left field,

I hope someone reads this, hugs Lillian

Dear Lillian,

I have used castor oil and frankincense for ovarian cysts with success.

One time I had a cyst that I could feel through my abdomen and used castor oil and frankincense. I was on vacation. By the time I got home and could get in for an ultrasound the cyst had all but gone.

I used Hopewell Frankincense essential oil. I massaged it onto the abdomen where the cyst was several times a day. I used castor oil packs at night. I would put castor oil onto a square of flannel or t-shirt (fold it over several times so that you end up with 6x6 square of several layers.) Over that I placed plastic wrap. Leggings would keep it in place over night. I would use a heating pad over that on the lowest setting. (But if you are heat sensitive, only use that for 30 minutes and then remove it.) Alternately, you could use a hot water bottle or a warm rice sock. The heat helps to drive the castor oil in.

I used the castor oil every night. Sometimes I would also massage castor oil into the area during the day as well.

You could try the Apple Cider Vinegar and blackstrap, also. I use them for many things but have not used them for cysts.

Please let me know how it goes. I hope that you can avoid surgery.

Hi Lillian -

Further to Mama to Many's excellent suggestions (castor oil packs are great for so many things), I found an article about a woman who was able to take care of her own cyst to avoid surgery.

It might be worth a read for some general ideas. But – like in all things – everyone is different.

https://www.thefurtherist.com/self-care/how-i-got-rid-of-an-ovarian-cyst-in-3-months

She linked to an article about one of the supplements she was taking N-acetylcysteine (NAC).

You may want to read the comments at the end of the page from other women who have cysts. Some used the author's protocol and others made changes with varying results.

If you are able, it might be a good idea to get a second opinion from a functional doctor. They have a tendency to look at the bigger picture and use alternative protocols.

Take care - I wish you the best of luck!

Hello,

I was diagnosed of cystic masses of about 1.2cm on both adnaxae a month ago, and I took ACV and Molasses for 2weeks to shrink it or prevent it from growing but I discovered that my cycle which usually last for 4-5days, it now 3days. I am so scared right now if I haven't done more harm to myself because, my cycle has always be normal and I have never felt pain. pls could the ACV and Molasses be the reason in the reduction of my menstruation shorten to 3 days? if yes! What can I do to regularize it cos I am dead scared. I am 40yrs old and would be getting married soon.

Editor's Choice

I was diagnosed with a benign ovarian cyst. Last sono, was 1 month ago. Dr said it was benign, but we should remove it because of the size. With that they want to take my ovaries out too. I'm 52 and probably don't need them anymore, but I was freaking out. I went home and googled holistic cures, and since then I've been taking 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses and 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar 2 x a day...

Verdict as of yesterday. My cyst went from 7.71 to 6.67, my fibroid went from a 4.99 to a 3, and from uterine lining went from thick to perfect!!! How about that for a holistic cure, and the prayer of god. I will continue this for the rest of my life!!! There are a lot of benefits from drinking these 2 products....

Did you had to discontinue your regular meals and start on fruits and veggies alone with healthy food in order to have the fibroids and syst shrink? I'm asking because im taking the Apple Cider Vinegar and blackstrap molassess but I'm still eating regular but I do my combination of beets, carrots, cucumber, ginger and tumeric juicing every morning to drink after I drink the Apple Cider Vinegar and bs molasses. Hey, luckily found this page and I would love to try it but I need to confirm some things. I have follicular cysts of different sizes in both ovaries and I have a thyroid condition also, have 125 mcg thyronome everyday. My gyno told me it's very normal and it's not a tension as if now, I should wait and watch it will go away. This report is 2 months old and now I am having some sort of pain in pelvis and I am freaking out. I am overweight too but I always have my periods regularly except once 4 years back that too for 1 month. Should I try it out? And what amount should I take and at what time? I am 24 yrs old. Please help!

Dear Manisha,

A typical dose of blackstrap molasses is 1 Tablespoon per day. With the apple cider vinegar, 1-3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water once or twice a day.

For the pelvic pain I would try castor oil packs. They always work for me, and quickly. I like to use them overnight. You are not supposed to use them during your period, though.

Dear Maegan,

The blackstrap molasses is important for the remedy. But some find that apple cider vinegar alone is enough to cure cysts. You could add honey to sweeten it but I don't think it actually helps the cysts.

Please also try castor oil packs for your cyst. It helped me very much with one a couple of years ago.

Dear Aisha,

I don't know how long apple cider vinegar will take to dissolve what remains from the cyst. But many people do use it daily on a long term basis and find it helpful for a multitude of female and other problems.

If you are still having pain, I have found castor oil packs or charcoal poultices to work wonderfully for cyst pain. I use them for a couple of hours or over night. Just do not use a castor oil pack during your period. Charcoal poultices are okay any time.

Dear Shona,

Is the pain in your pelvis and leg a new symptom since your last ultrasound? I am concerned about this because this type of pain can indicate a torsion of a cyst. When I had a torsion, I did have surgery. You can lose part of the ovary with an untreated torsion.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Blackstrap Molasses are both easy and safe things to try. They have helped many with cysts.

I would also add charcoal poultices over the ovary area overnight 4-5 nights a week. They have helped me with cysts and also help the pain.

How to Make a Charcoal Poultice

Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I can hardly move at this point and I don't want anything to burst and end up in ER...I'm hoping it's just inflammation and taking aloe vera gel straight from the plant will remedy this pain...My thinking is that I need to go slower, perhaps less ingredients too...I just don't feel natural healing should hurt this much.. Dear Cindy,

I agree that healing should not hurt this much.

I would definitely go slower with the treatment you are pursuing. You might want to just add one new ingredient a week so you know how each suits you.

If severe pain continues or you have other symptoms I would get medical attention. As I mentioned in this thread before, severe pain when you have a cyst could be a torsion. An untreated torsion could affect future fertility.

I hope you feel better soon!

Hello Everyone - Posting an article from UK - if it helps - please post your results with exact steps - it does seem that Apple Cider Vinegar (2sp) + Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses (UBSM) (1 sp) cured Fibroids and Ovarian cysts in 3 months

---

Testimony 1 from the link

  • Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Blackstrap Molasses worked, along with castor oil rubbed on my belly each night after a warm shower.
  • 2 tbsp ACV mixed with 2tbsp BSM. It doesn't taste all that wonderful but you get used to it. Some people like it. Some people can't handle them together and have them separately which is fine too. Some people get bloated when they have them together. I did a few times but it got better. I did this routine religiously for a few months... can't remember exactly how long and then I eased off it. I didn't even have it every day. I would have the full doses about a week before my periods would start (I'd be reminded because I used to get cramps), and continued for the duration of my period.
  • Some months later my period became more regular. At first I bleeded heavy for three days, even clotted but apparently, it was just the fibroids breaking down. After the three days, my period would stop which surprised me. After a few more months my period was regular as clock work, light and completely painless... apart from the odd slight discomfort to remind me it was there, I was doing great.
  • After six months of begging this routine, I did another ultrasound and my fibroid and cysts were gone from both ovaries. Actually one of my ovaries had shrunk so small they couldn't even find it... which was a first lol.

The ACV broke down my fiber completely and the BMS stopped the bleeding and replenished a lot of nutrients I lost. It also got rid of a few cysts as well as the fibroids. The castor oil will aide with circulation, breaking down the fibroids and removing the toxins by supporting the liver. It's also anti-inflammatory.

Also read up on xenoestrogens and try and cut them out of your life as much as you can. Eat foods that block estrogen production such as pears, apples, berries, melons etc. Avoid estrogen producing foods such as dairy, caffeine and alcohol. You can search there net for more foods to have and avoid.

Eat more greens... they're also anti estrogens plus they're high in iron. If you're not a vegan/vegetarian, whenever you eat red meat, have some greens with a bit of lemon juice. It's been found that heme iron (from meat sources) help the absorption of non-heme iron and the vitamin c from the lemon juice will help it along even more.

I also took magnesium (chelated magnesium) and potassium, both from supplements and from food. If you crave chocolate, try switching to cocoa nibs which are one of the richest and yummiest sources of magnesium... and other important minerals.

I used to suffer with endometriosis, fibroids, cysts and adhesions. My periods used to be irregular and heavy for about eight days and I was severely anemic.

Hope this helps someone, cheers

Hi all,

For all those who used apple cider vinegar and black strap molasses to get rid of your cysts - what types of cysts did you have?

I have a complex cyst (not the cancerous type, but it could turn malignant in the far future), around 3 cm that I've had for at least four years. I've heard that functional cysts are much easier to get rid of than complex ones, so not sure if it's even worth trying this or if I should just give up and have surgery as the doctor recomended.

Good question, I'm not sure if you will get a reply on here, this thread is old. I just came across it because I'm also researching cysts like crazy! I have a 6cm blood-filled cyst on my left ovary. Which could be an endometrioma (aka chocolate cyst), which would be a sign of endometriosis :(( I'm so terrified of that diagnosis. I also want to know if ACV would help a chocolate cyst. My gut feeling is that it wouldn't. Because it's a different type of cyst, that grow on the ovary, or in it, independently of the ovulation follicles. What kind of complex cyst do you have?

Kass
(Bangor, Me)

I don't know if it will work for that, but I do know that there are so many benefits for ACV that you should do it regardless. It helps with insulin resistance, cysts, dandruff, teeth whitening, and a whole lot more. Even if it doesn't work for your specific cysts, which I fully believe it will, it's worth it for overall health. :)

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

After learning of my having a small ovarian cyst (first one, I'm 45yrs old), I found a remedy to help shrink it. Apple cider vinegar and unsulphered black strap molassas 1 T each in hot water as a tea twice a day. I've been at it for at least 1 month. Since then the dull ache has gone. I feel great but the hot flashes/night sweats I've had over the past 8 months to a year have increased and now no period for the last 2 months. Has anyone ever found acv/molassas tea to cause a cessation of menstration ? Perhaps it's just my body doing it's thing regardless of the tea :) I go back to my doctor in a few weeks and will follow up on the cyst, but am curious if you think there could be a connection ?! ?! ? Hi Julie,

Well, I am so glad your cyst pain is improved, but very sorry that the menopause symptoms have increased!

I have used ACV and BSM for years and have never had it to cause me to skip cycles. For me, it only seemed to improve my cycles. (I am 46, for the record.) But, everyone is different, so I couldn't promise you that ACV and BSM are the cause.

Black Cohosh might be helpful to your increased menopause symptoms. It is good for hot flashes and night sweats.

Let us know how it goes with the Dr. appointment and if you find something to help your hot flashes. I hope you feel better soon.

Worked for me. I found out I was pregnant and had a large cyst on my ovary. Went to ER and they said this happens sometimes because the ovary is producing hormones to support the pregnancy. I went home and for a week took a tables poon molasses and chased with juice and acv. After a week I saw the obstetrician and did an ultrasound he was baffled because he couldn't find the cyst. In response to:

10/28/2010: Ew from Rockville, Md, Usa: "Ovarian Cyst Remedy - Alfalfa. Did not work. I'm writing about a possible remedy that I read elsewhere (someone supposedly had success with Premium Blended Alfalfa). The alfalfa would theoretically have worked by balancing the extra estrogen. Not only did I not get better, but I believe that the alfalfa may have caused the cyst to enlarge-- and I've been in horrible pain for the last 2 days. It may be possible that this remedy works for smaller cysts (?), but if in doubt, skip it. Hope that this experience helps someone out there."

I don't know a thing about the Alfalfa. I can share my personal circumstances, as I believe relate to ovarian cysts. I had several menstrual cycles where the pain I felt was greater than what I remember childbirth labor pains to have been. The last time I ended up at the hospital parking lot. The pain had finally subsided by the time we arrived in the middle of the night. I don't have insurance, so I opted to return home. I researched and found this site. Praise God! I needed help and couldn't afford it. I used Apple Cider Vinegar, which I purchased for cheap (less than $2.00)! I used Unsulfered Black Strap Molasses, which I found online for cheap ($9.58 for two 15 oz. Bottles)! I started using 7 days prior to my last cycle and I can tell you, I HAD NO PAIN during this cycle. I mixed 8 oz of warm water with 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 tablespoon Unsulphered Black Strap Molasses. I drank it every evening before bed. It is not great, but the results were GREAT! Now, I do not know how long I should continue and could not find the answer on the net. I will continue taking through the next month and will let all know the outcome of my next cycle.

Dear Priscy,

Do you have fever or bleeding or other symptoms?

I read some of the stories on the ovarian cyst page here at Earth Clinic and a lady named Bethany had a similar experience... You might read that first page of ovarian cysts to read her story.

I don't think the vinegar and molasses would cause a new problem. Perhaps they are causing things to happen too fast in your body. You might try taking a break from them both for a couple of days, then try one or the other and see how you respond.

Charcoal poultices have been used to treat both of your conditions sucessfully and might be helpful to you now while you are having worse symptoms. Charcoal is good at helping with pain and inflammation. If you can get some activate charcoal powder, you can make a poultice to place over your abdomen where you have pain. Charcoal must be wet to work. You would mix ith with water (or with flax seed and water) to make a paste. spread it on a paper towel and cover with another towel. Place on your abdomen and cover with plastic (to keep in the moisture. ) I would do this for an hour twice a day, and even overnight for several days. (To use it to cure cysts and fibroids, you might need to treat for many weeks.)

You can also take charcoal internally - 2 t. in a glass of water.

Try to drink plenty of water or herbal tea as dehydration will make the pain worse.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing. I will be praying for your relief.

I am still worried though. Maybe I will go do a scan to know what is happening inside of me cos the pains is much. Hot sensations in my abdomen.

Beginners or each time you eat or drink, like black strap molasses or others like apple cider vinegar, garlic, lemon, ginger, honey, kambucha tea, home made mangosteen puree mix with honey & lemon, many more, all these are natural food......any ache, pain, wind feel like bloated, gastric or any other symptom appear....it's just the process of healing, some call it healing crisis, mistakenly or wrongly stated side effects.....so not to worry, just continue for few days or week, you will feel the different.. Apple Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses
Posted by Sand 2 Pearl I Must Share (Orange Curtain, California, Usa) on 10/17/2012

To shrink my giant ovarian cyst, I started taking ACV (apple cider vinegar) & BSM (blackstrap molasses) on July 27th, 2012 by using the recipe from EarthClinic.

For over one year, I was taking megace to try to reverse my uterine cancer (stage one), which went back to being just endometrial-hyperplasia-atypical-complex (aka Just Barely Pre-cancerous). All my doctors wanted me to get a hysterectomy; hence, they all refused to prescribe megace for me. Hence, I had to buy without prescription. I spent over $1, 000 USD on megace [I gave up trying to convince my doctors.]

In July I ran out of funds and can no longer buy megace on my own. I noticed I was bleeding with some blood clumps, again. I knew any progress I made with megace was being pushed back because I wasn't taking megace anymore.

After taking ACV & BSM, I noticed I had less bleeding (and gained tons of energy! ) In late September 2012, I added Iodine (from Kelp) as an energy booster. I noticed that my bleeding stopped COMPLETELY (and my severe bleeding chapped lips healed! I had been visiting a dermotologist for this very problem for over 18 months.).

According to my latest pelvis ultrasound and uterine biopsy, ACV & BSM did not shrink my ovarian cyst but I am completely free of uterine-cancer! In fact, I am told I have no "hyperplasia or malignancy"!!!

What ACV, BSM, & Iodine did in a little over two months exceeds that of megace!! I CANNOT believe this!! I am sharing my account because I owe to all of you who so generously shared your challenges and triumphs.

If you have any clues why my ovarian cyst seems to have gotten bigger (21 x 11. 8 x 20. 4 cm), please post your answer -- so everyone can read it! THANK YOU!

Hi Pearl. Has the ACV and BSM drink helped a lot in maintaining the Endometrial Hyperplasia Atypical Complex? I was also into Megace but was asked by my doctor to stop it coz it greatly thinned the uterus lining. Want to try this drink as a substitute for Megace. Please respond soon. Thanks!

I have been taking the ACV and molasses (8 oz of water, 1 TBSP of organic Blackstrap Molasses, 1 TBSPS of Organic ACV) twice a day for 2 weeks, and the pain from my large anterial ovarian cyst is all but gone! HOWEVER, I am going through one awful digestive ordeal. Gurgly stomach, gas, bowel with undigested bits (gross- sorry), nausea and stomach cramps. Its not constant, and at moments I feel fantastic, but when it hits, it hits hard. Once or twice throughout the day, and I'm losing 2-3 hours of sleep each night. Is this normal?? Help!!

What Julie from Wharton NJ is experiencing is because of iron and Magnesium (Mg) content of blackstrap molasses. Every individual has different dose that would work for them & whenever in little excess, it will cause gargling sounds and lose bowel movements with or without mild cramps. This is because Mg increases gut motility and that's why its used as a treatment for constipation (Milk of Magnesia).
Just cutting down on dose a little will solve this issue as rightfully advised by someone here before.

Hi, After reading so many good things about organic unsulphered BSM curing ovarian cysts I tried having one full tbs of BSM, followed by ACV 3 tbs with baking soda(1/4th tbs) after my dinner. Within 30 minutes I had a severe pain in my left leg , foot, left hand palm. I had side effects of BSM, the one I trid is australian brand melrose.

Was my intake correct, can I consume after my dinner?

My name is Cynthia from Lagos Nigeria. I have a 5.7 right ovarian cyst. I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar and Mollasses for one month now and continued experiencing severe pains so I decided to go for a scan last week and the scan shows that I now have a 5.2 left ovarian cyst as well and the right one has increased to 6.4. I don't know if its the Apple Cider and Mollasess I took that increased it or not. Someone should please advice me on what to do next. I cannot withstand the pains any longer.

Cynthia, I am in the same boat as you. My ovarian cyst did not shrink after two months of ACV & BSM. In fact, it seems to have grown (21 x 11.8 x 20.4 cm).

[However, ACV & BSM (& Iodine from Kelp) healed me of uterine cancer COMPLETELY.]

Hello Cynthia why not tryin to make an ice cubes from herbs juices, squeeze leaves or grated garlic in aloe vera juice. U try it. And use it as ur vag suppository. Make an ice cubes and push it inside of u and place a pillow at ur pelvis part below and chill for 20 mins to 2 hours if u can. I already tried Moringa leaf but u got to strain it. Try yogurt as well it has good bacterias in it. Make an ice cubes insert it at bedtime or in the morning after u pee or during boring time. May u be healed completely. BB Sam and Mami

Cynthia & Joe and anyone else who found their cyst size increased after taking blackstrap molasses (BSM) & ACV, would you kindly share if by any chance you have a concurrent thyroid problem such as low or high thyroid. Also if you are taking any meds and eating too many cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage etc?
I am asking this b'coz female with ovarian cysts often have thyroid problems too. That is the basic reason behind molasses working for ovarian cysts. Beside iron and many minerals, BSM is rich in naturally occurring iodine. Many studies today has proven that ovarian epithelium has receptors for thyroid hormone and ovarian stroma is richest organ in iodine second only to thyroid. That is why in case of iodine deficiency not just thyroid but ovaries are also effected resulting in multiple cysts.
Here are few facts about relationship between thyroid, ovaries & iodine:

Iodine is concentrated at high levels in the ovaries via the NIS symporter.

Iodine deficiency is strongly correlated with ovarian cysts and may also be related to ovarian
cancer.

  • Flechas states that the greater the iodine deficiency, the more ovarian cysts a woman produces, resulting in the extreme form known as polycystic ovarian disease.
  • Howenstine asserts that Iodine therapy can reduce or eliminate ovarian cysts.
  • Slebodzinski states that iodine concentration in the ovary is higher than in every other organs except the thyroid. The ovarian iodide uptake varies with sexual activities, is enhanced by estrogens and a hypothyroid state and blocked by goitrogens.
  • Escobar investigated the effect of various levels of iodine intake on thyroid hormones in different tissues in the rat. They discovered that, under conditions of iodine deficiency, the concentration of T3 in the ovary was much higher than in the blood or most other tissues.

To: Rahoz re: Cynthia and Joe's comment

Rahoz, I hope you are still part of this site. I just read your reply of 2014. I have a history of developing ovarian cysts since 1990s. I have, unfortunately, had five ovarian cysts surgically removed over the years. Initially, I was told by my OB/GYN that he thought I might have PCOS but he was not sure. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in the 1990s. I never knew why these cysts developed and grew rapidly. Of course, my doctors' only remedy was surgery. I have always taken Synthyroid for my thyroid condition. I also eat cruciferous vegetables, which I was not aware I should not be eating. I developed Ovarian Cancer too in this huge cyst that I have now.

Rahoz, I would like to take the ACV and molases but I am afraid of my cyst growing and the cancer cells growing because of the sugar in the molases. I want to come up with a plan to prevent my body from developing these cysts.

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks very much for your assistance and I will await your reply.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses

Hi,

I'm happy to tell u that blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar really work, I've tried it myself, I had an ovarian cyst in my right ovary, the doctors couldn't help me because I'm pregnant, then I searched the web til I found this site and I tried blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar, (I think the molasses is the secret but...)

Anyway after 3 days of taking 1 t/s of vinegar and 1 of molasses in the morning before breakfast and the same at night before dinner, I felt that my pain reduced to 10%, and then like after 3 weeks I went for another ultra sound and my cyst was gone, the doctor told me I can't see anything for real.

So just trust me and try this, specially if you're pregnant and you're not allowed to take medicines.

Now I'm in my 37 weeks, almost there, plz pray for me.

I think it's perfectly safe to take ACV while pregnant.

It's not a whole lot different than having dressing on a salad. And since using salad dressing isn't discouraged during pregnancy, I don't see why a couple of tablespoons of ACV per day would hurt anything.

I have been going to so many doctors and paying out the pocket to be told they don't know what's wrong with me. My husband ended up in the hospital so I decided to try one more time and had a CT scan done it turns out I have a 4 centimeter cyst on my left ovary. This runs through all my sisters> I guess I got it late. Well anyway is it possible the cysts caould have been mistaken for something else? Because my doctors thought I was just fat. Would it be possible to sue them for compensastion on all the bull they put me hrough? Now I have to follow up with yet another doctor to find out what we should do next. I am at least relieved to know what had been wrong with me this entire time. Although, I am highly ticked that the doctors were making me pay so much out of pocket because I didn't have insurance. And by out of pocket I mean a couple $$$$thousand $$$$ and all it took was an emergency room visit and to many people asking when was I due because I look like I am 7 months pregnant from the abdominal swelling.

I have been dealing with ovarian cysts for ten years now. I am in terrible pain one day out of the month to the point of total bed rest. Some months I have no pain. I have taken herbs that help. I am curious about this apple cider vinegar and molasses recipe, I have both items in my pantry cupboard and am ready to start mixing them to make my own remedy. My entire right side hurts daily and I am hot all the time. I thought I was going through menopause early but after reading this blog I see it may be the cysts. I had a cyst that was the size of a golf ball pass a few years ago just before surgery. I want to cure this myself if it is possible. L

Apple Cider Vinegar can be bought at vitacost. Com, also Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is a very good natural brand that I trust. They also sell lots of other vitamins that are awesome! I Love the Garden of Life vitamins, they even have a prenatal. I have a 5.1 ovarian cyst, but I used the vinegar for some gallstones, and Ialso did a gallstone cleanse at the same time, will continue with 1 teaspoon with a glass of water. Drinking before a meal helps a lot and does not hurt my stomach. Prayers to each for a miracle healing.

Apple Cider Vinegar / Molasses for Ovarian Cysts- No one knows exactly why or how it works, but anecdotal evidence supports the use of apple cider vinegar to help shrink and dissolve ovarian cysts. According to Dr. John Christopher, a potassium deficiency may be the cause of cyst formation, and changing your eating habits to consume more potassium may be helpful. Apple cider vinegar is high in potassium, and this may be one of the reasons it is helpful in the treatment of ovarian cysts. Christopher recommends taking apple cider vinegar along with several other herbs such as burdock root, chaparral, cayenne, yellow dock, mullein and plantain.

The People's Pharmacy Guide to Home and Herbal Remedies also mentions use of apple cider vinegar for the treatment of cysts. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar with 1 tablespoon of black strap molasses and 8 ounces of warm water. Drink one or two glasses daily to help shrink the cyst. It may also help relieve stomach bloating associated with the cyst. Consult a natural health practitioner for additional guidelines concerning the use of apple cider vinegar.
