I've been taking acv for 18mths now, but ran out a week ago & didnt buy my bottle right away.In the week that it took me to replenish my acv, I have developed sinusitus & tonight, after taking my first dose, got relief from the pain almost immediately. ACV definately works for sinuses & your site confirms that its not just me it works for. I was looking for clues & found this site.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

So glad to hear ACV has worked for so many. I am 23 weeks pregnant and I had a debilitating cough for over a month which finally started to subside last week right when the mucous shifted to the nasal cavity. 6 days of no sleep, completely stuffed nasal passage, breathing through my dry mouth. Last night I tried ACV in water and honey and did experience some temporary relief but had terrible congestion all night. Started to have jaw and teeth pain now. I really had high hopes for this remedy cos I desperately want to avoid medication. After nausea, kidney stones, constant fatigue and now this, I am at my wits end. I didn't experience any of this in my first pregnancy..

Hi all, just to tell you guys that I pour ACV on a paper towel and sniff it to clear block nose, this method helps me especially during night times woke up with a block nose. I started ACV for just couple of weeks, I will post again few months later on how I struggle with ill health and how this website helps me when my recovery is more concrete. Thanks for keeping this website free for everyone. (It meant so much to me). I am sure your good spirits will be rewarded.

Acv+salt for blocked sinus - magic!!! this is the 3rd time I have used acv and it always works like magic for blocked sinuses!

First time I suffered for a whole year - did steam but didn't work. I was offered twice to do surgery but was reluctant. It paid off.

My sister (bless her) told me about the site. I hate the smell of ACV. So it too time for me... out of desperation (I felt ill at least twice a week). I filled a kettle with ACV... added salt... turned the kettle on... and as soon as the steam started... switched off... and inhaled the steam mainly via the blocked nose. (even though it feels it is not going in) I did so on and off for a few minutes. Took a half hour break... repeated... and it was gone completely!

That was six years ago. Two weeks ago... it happened again.. it just didn't go away till I did this treatment! A couple of times in the evening. I woke up in the morning like a new person. It works like magic every time! Thank you! Thank you GOD for the medicine that can be found abundantly and naturally! DO NOT HESITATE TO DO IT! I hope to get positive feedback.

The beauty of it.. no need to DRINK it!! And it does a light descaling of the kettle. (you will need much more to descale properly).

I found home remedies with acv and thought it worked great. For those who can't handle the taste try steam inhaling to clear the congestion. For a simple and quick session, I filled a small pan with half water and half acv and boil on the stove. Once it comes to a full boil turn off the stove and just breathe in the steam. My husband thought I just worked a miracle on him with this simple procedure. Good luck!!

sinus congestion relief: Mix 2 or 3 teaspoons of brown sugar, 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar. Tastes great and relieves congestion. Even better: add 1/4 cup raisins and boil, then allow to cool.

Yesterday at 3pm, my head felt like it was in an aquarium. Ears clogged, headache, completely stuffed up. I took 2 TBSP of ACV (with the mother) in a mug of hot water with a few shakes of cayenne pepper. My sinuses did ease up a bit within 30 minutes, going from a cement wall to a moist sponge, but that was about it. This morning, I took the same thing again. It's 2pm and– compared to yesterday at this time –I'd say I've improved 70%. I can breathe through my nose easily and taste things. No headache, no clogged ears. Vast improvement.

***Important to note though: make sure you're downing tons of water and liquids in addition to this ACV tea. Also, be sure that the ACV is shaken up and has brown sediment floating in it, aka the "mother"; you don't want the clear, clean stuff.

Sinus Congestion with Sore Throat:

I've always taken a dash of Cayenne Pepper (I'd say a teaspoon, but it's really as much as you can comfortably handle as an individual) with 2 tablespoons of Lemon Juice and 2 tablespoons of Honey in a mug of boiling water for a sore throat.

Great relief and tastes great too.

After reading other posts and some experimentation I am now changing my recipe to..

1 dash Cayenne Pepper
2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tablespoons Honey
1 Mug boiling water

Same great taste, but better sinus relief as well as sore throat.

ACV and cayenne pepper in hot water cured sinus congestion.

This simple remedy really works! My head was stuffed up for a few days and getting worse. Yesterday afternoon I took 1 tablespoon raw ACV in a mug of hot water with a big pinch of cayenne pepper. My nasal passages started to clear even as I was sipping and within an hour my head felt a lot clearer. I did this 3 times altogether, taking the last mug before bed and woke up this morning with a clear head!

I've used this remedy on two occasions now and with almost immediate results. I think it helps if you breathe in the vapours also.

Thankyou, Earthclinic! Love this site.

Hello there! I want to thank you for this recipe my nose is instantly draining. My eyes were watering. Sweating a little bit. I added a little cinnamon to I guess cut the heat:). Thanks much. Idk if the cinnamon helped but for some reason I always have to modify things. LOL Thanks again!

After suffering from sinus congestion and the associated pressure on the head behind the eyes for about three days I decided to google and came to this site. First was a quarter cup of ACV with cold water and down the hatch. Moments later I felt drippy, I kept reading on. I decided to put a few dashes of ground cayenne pepper in a steaming cup of water, stir in some more ACV and quickly sipped it all. As I type this, mucous and phlegm are breaking up and even if this is only temporary, it is still relief. Thanks to all the folks for their input and to the people who operate this site.

Hi There.

I ran across this website the other night as I was searching the internet in search of a natural approach to cure a sore throat that was so advanced that my tonsils were red and looked blistery and I could hardly swallow. It was very painful. I ran across the recommendation for the Cayenne pepper gargle but then saw that if I added ACV to this that I could drink it and it would cure my sinuses also which I have had a problem with for years and had a discharge of muscous every morning that was almost a reddish-brown color and tons of pressure in my head and had been taken Advil cold and sinus for it. I began drinking it yesterday morning and still did the Cayenne pepper and water gargle last night. My throat is already cleared up and I believe my sinuses are beginning but I am not sure what is happening with my sinuses. It seems to me like I am coughing up alot of stuff that has probably been there for while and I noticed that my mucous is now a light yellow color.

My nose is also stuffy and I feel like I am literally coughing up stuff out of my chest that I didnt even know was there (lol). I am still drinking this little mixture today and will continue to as I believe that what is happening is that I am healing and that all of this that has been there is beginning to come out and I can tell because although my mucous is not clear yet and is very light yellowish, it is not brown/reddish which says something (lol). Despite all of this (The stuffy nose and coughing up mucous) I seem to feel great with a very high energy level and no pressure in the head causing it to ache. So I will let you know the final result and am very greatful for this remedy and this wonderful website and will be consulting it regularly for my health concerns and my clients.

I have been on a regimen of 2 tbls of ACV and 1 tbls of blackstrap molasses 2x's a day for about 4 months now. I've just recently in the last month added 1/2 tsp of cayenne (1 tsp/day total) to my ACV and chase it with a glass of water. I read on your site that cayenne helps circulation and that was the primary reason I started adding it to my ACV. Before that I would cook with it and added it to my food everyday as I really like hot food. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with what happen next... The puffiness around my eyes (due to some kind of allergies food or airborne I'm guessing) and face is COMPLETELY gone! No kidding! I have a healthy glow to me now and the puffiness around my eyes that would make me look tired all the time, has vanished. The next thing I noticed is that my sinus' are clear, the dull sinus headache that I lived with for so long is gone and I can breath through my nose at night. As a result I think I'm getting more oxygen to my brain and body now and I definately feel much more clear headed. I had no idea how much congestion was in my sinus' that I had just learned to live with. After ingesting a teaspon a day for about a month, although results came within a couple of days, I look and feel so much better. The only thing I can attribute to the changes to is the cayenne. Thank you so much for posting this remedy. Makes me want to kiss you guys right on the lips! SMACK!

2T ACV, 2T Olive Oil, 1/4t baking soda in 8 oz warm water, was the only ingredients I did have. Been suffering from chest congestion and hacking up phlegm for 6 days. Relief from the coughing, congestion, within the hour! My nose drained and 2 hr later it is still working. Unbelievable! The worst thing I have ever had to drink down in my life (and I am good at drinking horrible tasting stuff for medicinal purposes) . I had use the last of my honey before I got sick. This really does work, and I did manage to drink it down. I will try the ACV, honey, baking soda, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice the next time. The coughing stopped almost immediately. I had to post because it worked so well!!

Oil of Oregano and Apple Cider Vinegar cured my sinus congestion in minutes.

The idea popped into my head after trying various other remedies with minimum results. I took roughly 5 drops of Oil of Oregano and 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar, and my sinus congestion cleared in about 5 minutes. I now have my taste back!! :) I take my OoO by taking a large sip of water in my mouth, then dropping it in on top. As for the ACV, I take it straight with cold water. It shocked me how quickly and efficiently it worked!

Dosage: 5 drops Oil of Oregano
2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

Hello, I forgot to add in my post that I used a Neti Pot before taking the Oil of Oregano and Apple Cider Vinegar for my sinus congestion. The Neti Pot alone didn't leave my sinuses clear; but the combination of the Neti Pot, followed by 5 drops of OoO, and 2 tablespoons of ACV kept my sinuses clear for half the day. I also had my sense of taste back.

I've used this combination a second time now, and it is just as effective as the first time. This one's a keeper!

Yesterday I went to the internet in search of a natural remedy for my terrible sinus congestion. Usually irrigating my sinuses with the neti pot (warm water, salt, baking soda) does the trick, but this virus seemed to be getting the upper hand. I tried the apple cider remedy (hot water--about a cup--2 T natural honey, 2 T organic apple cider vinegar) and the tomato tea. I had two cups of both. Within a half hour my sinuses started to clear. I could breath through my nose all night long and here I am--next morning--breathing easily. I don't know which did the trick--maybe both. No matter. I'm very happy. Thank you!

I have IBS and when I'm really stressed it flares up. So, lately I've been eating apples for regular fiber intake. In the last 4 days I've had...8 apples. After my second apple today I noticed that my sinuses were draining. In the 8 hours between my second and third apple the drainage diminished. But after eating apple #3 my sinuses began draining again and I had a sort of itchy feeling in the back of my mouth from the drainage. Is it possible that I've had a similar reaction to just eating apples rather than drinking the Apple Cider Vinegar?

Black Peppercorns, ACV + Cayenne

This morning I woke up and was pretty congested in both nostrils. I first tried out the peppercorn chewing. I chewed 5 and the less clogged nostril opened up completely. So, I decided to chew 4 more peppercorns and my left nostril became a bit better, but was not really open to breathe through sufficiently enough while pinching the right one closed. I decided then to give the ACV, honey and hot water concoction a try and low and behold - there now is just a bit congestion in the left nostril left. Both remedies were easy and very successful within less than 5-10 minutes each for me.

Thank you earthclinic.com, Ted and all contributors for providing the world with such an extensive valuable website!
