I had a plantar wart right on the edge of my heel that I could not get rid of. I tried the OTC freezing stuff and it did nothing. I starting putting ACV on a pinch of a cotton ball on it at night with a bandaid. I would also put a fresh one on in the morning and try to keep it on all day. This was during the summer even, I would just put a bandaid on it. It looked better than the wart anyway. After a few weeks, it turned white and eventually came out. The hold healed up and now you can't even see where it was and it has not returned after 2 years.

After numerous trips to the Dr. & failed painful treatments of the freezing method for the warts on my finger, my sister suggested this remedy. At night I wet a cottonball with the ACV then put it on the wart and cover it with a bandaid. I change this nightly. within 1-2 weeks my warts were gone.

I have only taken apple cider vinegar for two month, 3 tablespoons in morning, and 3 after work. Warts on my finger completely disappeared and I tried commercial removers. I had them for many years, so I believe the vinegar is responsible.

I had a wart bigger than a half of my heel. Little warts grew all over my toes. This was the result of yanking out the center of a small to medium size wart on my heel. It made those evil devils spread like wildfire. I put apple cider vinegar on a paper towel and I duct taped it to my heel. Making a shoe. By the time this was done the wart was throbbing in pain. I planned on doing my toes, but I couldn't handle the pain. I laid down but didn't sleep the whole night.

Next day, I feel like my heel was eaten away by acid.

I peeled of the duct tape, I put so much apple cider vinegar that it turn my skin yellow, and tiny bits came off with the duct tape. The wart was twice the size as before big white and puffy, but it had a little little BLACK center.

I knew it was working.

Three sleepless nights later, almost no outer layer of skin on my heel, but a half its normal size completely used car oil black wart is in the center.

No more vinegar, I needed to sleep.

One week later, the wart dries up, I just scratch it, and a huge chunk of black death easily peels out of my foot, leaving a crater twice as deep as wide. I peel the rest out, and I literally can see the bone of my heel through the transparent inner layers of my body.

Four weeks later, the hole COMPLETELY healed. All the baby warts in my toes fell out. Apple Cider Vinegar is sacred shit.

Dr.Mercola doesn't necessarily NAY ACV. He is providing an objective analysis of ACV benefits, which for the most part is positive. Please read the article again; he provides some scientific evidence to many of the ACV benefits. And also read the comments section- tons of positive feedback.

I go to an anti- aging doctor, and she does not know that MSM is derived from DMSO my mixing it with Hydrogen Peroxide. Dr Mercola does not know that ACV is Malic acid and not acetic acid. Friends and neighbors, we can't trust any of these BS artists. They just slickin every thing for our appitite. They are like a car sales man they don't know crap about a car. They just sell them. Been with money managers for the last 14 years. They don't know crap either and that is the reason I'm now doing my investments myself. If Dr Mercola does not know that ACV is malic acid, he is a fraud.

I have been using Apple Cider Vinegar for a few months for GERD and weight reduction. After reading Dr. Mercola's report on ACV, I checked my blood glucose level from my recent lab report. I went from 97 to 62! My husband's has remained in the 80s. I read on the internet that levels below 70 are hypoglycemic. I have lost 21 lbs while on ACV and eliminated sugars from my diet. Has anyone else experienced this? I eat plenty of fruit. Thank you.

According to Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malic_Acid), seems malic acid is what gives the green apple its tart taste but the malic acid decreases with ripening of the fruits (apples and grapes & probably other fruits). Malic acid winds up being converted to lactic acid.

Wiki definition of ACV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_cider_vinegar) states that first fermentation of apple juice converts sugars in the apple juice into alcohol. A second fermentation converts the alcohol into acetic acid.

We all might want to find a better method of separating the ones who have our health at heart from the charlatans. Personally, I choose to go with the ones that check out with other sources and the best way to separate the two are by do they recommend remedies you can gather for yourself or are readily obtainable (as Dr. Jonathan Wright does) or do they only recommend herbs, etc. from far east India, South Africa, or China & are they connected to the place selling combinations of those "must be imported from afar" herbs.

I agree that while Mercola has a lot of good things to say and is helpful in getting Americans to THINK about their health, he has a lot of interest in getting us to buy his things. ie imported herb etc. I am especially interested in helping folks relearn how to use the simple things at hand like apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper and activated charcoal. When we take back the responsibility for our own health we will be in better shape as a nation. Thank you Earth Clinic for your part in this re-education.

I have used ACV for the flu and warts before but I never did much research on it. Two days ago I bought a small book on the benefits of ACV. One paragraph got my attention. It claimed that ACV will lower the blood pressure. I am a good subject to try it on because I have extremely high blood pressure. (200/115) and none of the meds that the doctor has given have lowered it. I do eat a healthy diet and am a master herbalist and have tried ALL the right things and they did not work. I used the ACV - 4 times a day taking 2 Tbls of vinegar in a glass of water. I did not add the honey because I do not need the extra sugar. Today, after only 2 days my B/P is 175/100. That is dramatic since the b/p meds were not even bringing it down. I will try to report in week to tell you if it has continued to lower my b/p. I am hoping that it will.

Thank you all for this helpful information

I am a hypo thyroid patient and was finding it difficult to lose weight how much ever I worked out or I had a strict diet. And I came across this B----s ACV . And I wanted to give it a try and it is a magic bullet . And in just a week my fat started melting like butter. Lot of energy and feeling content all the time and the craving for eating started disappearing. I sip it through out the day - 1tsp whenever I drink water. But just maintained a diet said a big NO to all junk, sweeteners, fried oily, preservatives food. And had plenty of vegetables n fruits through out the day.

Was that how you were eating prior to adding ACV to your daily routine? In other words, are you sure it was the ACV that helped you lose weight, or was it that you started "saying NO" to the foods you shouldn't have eaten that caused the weight loss?

Inquiring minds want to know. ;-)

WARNING!

ACV has a lot of benefits but one thing that ladies have to be careful about is Yeast infection. I am 29 and never got Yeast infection in life and now got twice in 2 months as I started ACV. But then I read that its because I wasn't using Organic one but just the regular store brand. I have the Organic one now but I am too afraid to try it as I cannot deal with Yeast Infection misery again. I thought I will inform the girls about this to be extra careful when using ACV...thanks!

From what I understand, yeast infections can be an issue if you are still eating processed carbs and sugars in any quantity. As yeasts need sugars to feed on, removing those from your diet would help to prevent yeast infections whether you are taking vinegar or not. All carbs will turn to some kind of sugar in the body, which is why most, if not all, Anti-Candida diets remove them. Those who have removed sugars and carbs from their diet are less likely to have problems with the vinegar - especially when some time has passed and all the residual sugars have cleared from the system. It is also possible that those who have issues with yeast infections when taking vinegar, may actually be pre-diabetic and have issues with carbohydrate metabolism anyway, in which case following a low-carb regime would benefit them.

The quantity of processed carbs and refined sugars that are consumed in the Western diet is damaging everyone to a greater or lesser degree. Above all we need nutrition - and the carbs and sugars rob the body of valuable nutrition during their processing whilst giving little or nothing in return. They look good, they taste good, but they are worthless to the body.

I am a little embaressed to write about this problem but felt I needed too. I have had a yeast infection for months caused initially by taking antibiotics. After being to my doctor twice and her giving me 2 different prescriptions (neither worked) I came across this website. I had heard that vinegar had helped women with this problem before but I was skeptical. Being desperate to try anything I used 2 TBS ACV in a glass of distilled water and drank it 2 times a day. At night I just used 2 TBS in a little water. IT WORKED. Thank you to the people who have had success and were willing to put it on this website!

The non-organic ACV should work just as well for you. In fact, in my case, the non-organic ACV worked better for me than the organic brand did.
