This article summarizes Ted’s natural and holistic remedies for managing lupus (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), drawn from his responses on EarthClinic across 21 Q&A pages.

1. Alkalizing the Body

Ted recommends drinking a mix of 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in 1/2 glass of water, twice daily. Alkalizing helps reduce inflammation and inhibits pathogens such as mycoplasma and fungus.

2. Borax Protocol

To address fungal and mycoplasma infections, dilute 1/8 teaspoon of borax in 1 liter of water and sip throughout the day. Borax also supports hormonal balance.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar + Baking Soda

Mix 1 tablespoon ACV with 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in 1/2 glass water. This supports pH balance, reduces oxidative stress, and aids detoxification.

4. Essential Supplements

  • Magnesium Citrate: 250 mg, 5 days/week
  • Zinc Gluconate: 25–50 mg, 2–3 days/week
  • Vitamin B Complex: Twice weekly
  • Selenium, Iodine (kelp/seaweed): To support immune function

5. Diet for Lupus

Avoid processed foods, aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, and excess salt (especially chlorides). Stick to a low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory diet rich in vegetables and minerals.

6. Hydrogen Peroxide + Tannic Acid

Mix 1 capful of 3% hydrogen peroxide in 1–1.5 liters of water with 1/8 tsp borax and 1/4 tsp tannic acid. Drink throughout the day to oxygenate the body and eliminate pathogens.

7. Sodium Molybdate & Thiosulfate

Take 1/8 tsp sodium molybdate daily. Sodium thiosulfate (1–2 crystals dissolved in water) helps neutralize toxins and assists with detoxification pathways.

8. Lysine + NAC for Inflammation

For flare-ups and fibromyalgia-like symptoms, take 1/4 tsp lysine and 1/4 tsp N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) every hour for four hours, for up to 3 days.

9. Methylene Blue

To improve energy levels, take 4 drops of 0.1% methylene blue solution in water in the morning and afternoon (avoid at night due to stimulation).

10. Additional Considerations (From Page 21)

  • Start alkalizing protocols slowly to avoid detox overwhelm.
  • Neem extract may help with skin-related lupus symptoms.
  • Kidney symptoms (lupus nephritis) may improve with potassium citrate and avoiding excess protein.
  • Monitor urine pH regularly to track progress (ideal: 6.5–7.3).

Ted: my sister aged 32 yrs was diagnosed of systemic lupus erythromatosis (SLE) in 2007 and has been on med: steroid (Prednisolone), non-steroid (methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine), warfarin (Acitrome), metaxcel (for endocarditis) and much more with some improvement in the past 6 years. Recently I came across this website with natural remedies which I got interested to try for my sister. I have recently (13/08/2013) started her with baking soda (Na-bi-carbonate) (1/2 tea spoon in half glass of filtered water) in the morning on empty stomach and before bedtime (at least 2hrs after dinner). Today (17/08/2013) morning (it was baking soda off day) when she took 2 teaspoons of sea salt with one glass of water on empty stomach (as suggested by you in one of your article on 'want to know top 10 lupus supplements') which I thought worth trying. But she could hold this in her stomach for an hour before she vomitted and soon followed by diarrhoea. Is this expected and okay? I plan to start her on borax (1/8th tea spoon in one liter of water throughout the day) from next week (26/08/2013) so that she can have enough pH buffering from baking soda. I would appreciate your comment on the sea salt issue and any suggestions or changes to help us implement these remedies correctly and efficiently. Thanks. God bless!

Altaf, Here is a database for users of Low Dose Naltrexone and Lupus: http://www.ldndatabase.com/Lupus.html

If you google LDN and lupus you will see other experiences of people with lupus successfully using FDA approved, low cost, no side effects LDN. And the best part, for you, is that it can be bought without a prescription at any pharmacy in India. (Trade names Revia, Naltima, etc.) If you get 50 mg. Tablets, simply dissolve one tablet in 50 ml. distilled water. Buy a children's syringe and withdraw from 3 to 4 ml of the solution and take it once every 24 hours, usually before bed. (No more often than this.) So easy. Store the rest of the solution in the refrigerator. Best wishes for improved health for your sister. For others reading this, look at www.ldninfo.org to see how it successfully treats a host of autoimmune diseases, including MS, Crohn's disease, UC, and many more. Published clinical trial are shown for Crohn's, AIDS and ongoing for MS and Fibro.

Hi: Any suggestion on whether should she stop her steroid and non-steroid meds before starting LDN OR can she start LDN and continue using her other meds and gradually get off them after seeing the response of LDN (since her regular meds are in the morning and this LDN would be at bedtime, amply spaced out) OR should she first gradually pull off all her other meds (possibly cleared from system) and then start LDN? Thanks again!

Hi Altaf, LDN can be taken with steroids and any other medication EXCEPT opiate based drugs. LDN and opiates both compete for the same receptors, and LDN will always win. This could put someone who is taking opiates into a serious and dangerous withdrawal. So, any medication is OK with LDN EXCEPT opiates. You can also join the Yahoo LDN Group that is mentioned at the www.ldninfo.org site, and the other members (over 10,000 people) are always willing to answer any questions you may have. Please let us know how your sister is doing. Best wishes!

Hello everyone ; I was diagnosed with Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2012; and I had difficulty accepting the diagnosis as I have always been a health freak. My 2 weaknesses were dairy products and chocolates. I was diagnosed by my GP, then went to a homeopath who confirmed the diagnosis a year later. I then discovered that there are ways to manage this sickness, of which one is to go the natural way.

I am a good cook, but sometimes I find it challenging to stay away from red meat, since I am also in the food industry. My problem is I do not pass any stools, I can go on for more than a month without going to the loo. My diet is mostly veggies, fruits, grains and beans, chicken and fish. I dont get constipated but my question is where is this food that I eat going to? I have a huge appetite, but its like there is a worm inside me that is moving up and down, and the sad part is I can feel it moving, is this normal for lupus patients? I feel like its eating me up inside especially since I am always heating up in my waist area and in my kidneys.

I am taking my meds and supplements, but I prefer the natural way. If and when I do go to the loo, there is there is practically nothing that reflects the amount of food that I eat all this time. I take a lot of detoxifying herbs, but I just urinate a lot but no stools. Any advice would be welcomed as I am always having a pain and heaviness)) in my groin especially the right side. Thanking you all in advance.

Noma: Parasite infestations almost always cause both digestive & immune disorders as a consequence. Here is a link to the E.C. page for this condition. https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/parasites.html

Roundworm & Tapeworms are the worst, although the Flukes can kill the host over time. Try all the herbal wormers first and if you're not feeling any better after a few weeks or couple of months, you will need pharmaceutical grade meds to eradicate the devils. CureZone has extensive post on this condition.

I read this post with interest and noticed that although it has received a lot of positive comments, only one person has given a "case report" of efficacy. That's too bad. I wish people would follow through and post their follow-up.

Ted, I also notice you commented on a low incidence of lupus in your native Thailand. I believe this might be because people in S.E. Asia are colonized with helminthic parasites, which are showing a lot of promise as therapies for several autoimmune problems in the developed world, including asthma, allergies, MS, and inflammatory bowel diseases. Parasites get a bad rap, but they may "train" the immune system not to overreact to harmless substances. Antibiotics kill off "good" bacteria, but we also lack parasites, which in low numbers may have a role in keeping us well.

I think you are dead on in altering pH as a method of degrading gut biofilms, which I believe create conditons for autoimmunity, but healthy gut flora are also important.

THANK YOU TED FOR SUCH WONDERFUL REMEDIES, BUT MY QUESTION TO YOU- FOR HOW LONG DO I KEEP TAKING BAKING SODA I HAVE BEEN TAKING IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK. DO I STILL CONTINUE IT EVERY DAY LIKE I HAVE? OR ONCE A WEEK? IS BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER THE SAME?

I don't know if anyone has replied to you question. I have just now found this site and information. It is entirely health to continue the baking soda every day if you want. Personally I have not been using it because I use lemon or apple cider vinegar, but may add the baking soda as well. Baking soda is NOT the same as baking powder!

I have systemic lupus and I have being using the borax and baking soda. I have read conflicting info on the amount of mixture to use. Some state 1 liter divided into 5 equal doses (one dose per day for 5 days), but then others state 1 liter of mixture per day for five days, which would be 5 liters in five days. So which should I be doing? and I would also like to add the sea salt and the acv but can I add it with the borax and baking soda??

Please respond because I really need some relief. One liter a day is alot different that 1/5 of a liter per day and I would not be getting the maximum results. thanks

Hello Ted! Thanks so much for your feedback on this site. I have been doing the Lupus treatments with borax/hydrogen peroxide/baking soda, etc. I just wanted to know with the Vitamin D3, Do you take it WITHOUT calcium? Or do you take it with it? I started taking the Vitamin D3, and noticed that some bottles contain calcium and some do not. But I noticed by reading comments about other supplements, that you say not to get it with calcium. I just want to make sure I am doing it right. Thanks so much again for all of your insight.

★★★★☆

Just in response to Ted's info on Lupus (Ted if you're reading this I hope you'll add any new info you have) I am in serious stages of Systemic Lupus (most all organs involved) along with Gulf War Illness. I work hard to use as many natural things as I can to help my condition and have used some of Ted's suggestions. Here's my two-cents worth: (1)-in reference to SUGARS-definitely stay away from as much as possible. People with Lupus are very Sugar sensitive and I think it damages Lupus sufferers greatly. GO ORGANIC WITH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE IN ALL AREAS of your food because chemicals, hormones, pesticides...are deadly for us. With SUGARs-go with "BROWN RICE SYRUP or XYLITOL or fructose or glycerin" in SMALL, tiny amounts only once a day or less...but NOT WHITE SUGAR or sadly even honey and all natural jams and syrups cause great problems too. NO CHEMICAL SWEETNERS either (2)-GRAINS--GO ORGANIC and yes stay away from the high GLUTEN grains. I do best with MILLET which is a protein and not a grain. STAY AWAY FROM YEAST AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE---go with yeast free breads (try Millet Zuchini Bread from the Deland Bakery in Deland Florida--they ship to alot of Health Food stores--most of their breads are yeast free and Millet. (3) THYROID--I found with myself and others that Lupus sufferers have very inflammed Thyroids and terribly malfunctioning ADRENAL glands. For my Thyroid I take Armour Thyroid a natural Thyroid gland extract (presciption) and IODINE drops--I take about 7 drops of Iodine a day in a glass of water. For my Adrenal glands I have yet to find anything that helps except SALT--use SEA SALT WHEN YOU FEEL WEAK---also LOTS OF SLEEP and NO STRESS...that is the only thing that helps so far...I hope for a better answer but NO STEROIDS especially if you are in more advanced stages like myself and have bone and muscle wasting from the Raynauds--dont take steroids it will worsen. I do take 7-Keto DHEA but it only helps a little. Many Lupus sufferers have been through alot of abuse--like family or spousal abuse---GET AWAY FROM IT ALL if you have to. If the people around you dont understand and help you to lead a stress-free life, you have to get away from them to save your life (Sad to say but so true and necessary--find supportive friends or counselors that will let you talk--People with Lupus tend to be the ones to help everyone else and hold their problems inside. You cant live that way and value your life enough to find good, stable-minded friends) (4)In reference to ORGANIC FOODS--I find concerning DAIRY and MEATS that if I go ORGANIC it solves the problem. Regular foods are so high in pesticides and hormones and chemicals--that is what is causing the problem NOT THE FOOD ITSELF. I eat ORGANIC DAIRY like organic milk, cheese, goat cheese, plain yogurt and butter. The PROTEINS AND CALCIUM are CRUCIAL for helping Lupus. YOU NEED PROTEIN AND CALCIUM. Same with your MEATS--go ORGANIC--you NEED THE PROTEIN and healthy FATS--they are all CRUCIAL. I know Organic is more expensive but the prices are getting better all the time...your body is worth it. At many Health Food Markets they have many items you can buy in BULK and the SAVINGS there will offset the higher costs of dairy, meats and produce (fruits and veg). BUT I do recommend LESSENING the GRAINS--I stay mostly with Millet and a little Brown Rice and Spelt is OK--you just have to try them and see what works best for you...but go with no/low gluten and yeast free and organic if possible. (5) I've tried balancing my PH like Ted recommends and it is hard to stay with that to get results but I do think it is important I just havent figured out the best way to stay with it (6) And YES--go through a TOXIC METAL cleanse--I've tried many including I.V. EDTA and it only helped a little. I'm presently doing "METAL SHIELD" sold by SWANSON vitamins and am hopeing for good results there but dont know yet. (7) Find a doctor or naturopath that can work with BALANCING YOUR HORMONE LEVELS and can get a Hair Follicle test done to see embalances---then look for natural ways to balance (8) My only other suggestion is to GO THROUGH LIFE VERY SLOWLY !! DONT RUSH AT ANYTHING YOU DO and if others dont understand it, they will have to learn to. The Immune System revs up with fast movement and your Immune System is already attacking you own body--FAST MOVEMENT like working, walking, speaking, and exercising fast make you worse and it attacks the body worse and raises your fever. Yes have some movement through out your day but go through it slowly like kind of slow motion...even allow yourself to THINK slowly. People with Lupus have probably gone through life at a very FAST PACE and always used to accomplishing ALOT in life...your body is worn out--let it rest and move slowly --YOU MUST GET RECUPERATIVE SLEEP AND REST>. (9) TMJ and neck and back problems can be an issue. If you have a TMJ problem-find a dentist to make you what is called an "ANTERIOR ORTHOTIC SPLINT" where at night when you sleep, you only touch the anterior teeth to balance your jaw like a FULCRUM. That is all with that --I wouldnt do anything else they suggest because these dentist can make the problem worse !! LASTLY -- the only medicines I recommend are to help you sleep better, natural Thyroid medicine and maybe Lasix for body swelling although there are natural diuretics too. Nothing else has helped me. If you sleep fine without an aid then go without those, but sleep is important. GOD BLESS and I hope this helps someone--jacquelyn (Hi to Ted if you're out there)"

03/01/2009: Jacquelyn from Ocala, Florida writes, "Also for Lupus sufferers, I forgot to mention--IF YOU SUFFER WITH YOUR "BOWELS" NOT WORKING...try a little teaspoon of PSYLLIUM and 1/2 MAGNESIUM CITRITE tablet of 200mg in the morning with fruit in a blender...then at your evening take 1/2 to whole MAGNESIUM tablet with your evening MEAL. NOTHING else has ever worked for me. It's important to keep your bowels moving daily. If the magnesium makes your bowels to liquid then just cut back a little on dose but dont stop taking or increase if not moving well. Also dont be hesitant about using suppositories and saline enemas--do what is necessary to keep your bowels moving. God bless, Jacquelyn"

03/01/2009: Jacquelyn from Ocala, Florida writes, "More on Lupus---(I keep thinking of things to suggest) Eat alot of RAW ORGANIC VEGETABLES especially anthing Green EXCEPT Lettuces and Green Peppers or difficult to digest vegetables. RAW ASPARAGUSS and RAW CELERY help to rid the body of excess fluids. I just put them in the blender with water and drink it down no matter how it tastes. Green LEAFY vegetables have lots of digestive enzymes...like Spinach, Dandelion, Or mixed Baby Greens...I also throw in Zucchini...anything GREEN except the lettuces and I've read where Kale inhibits Iodine from absorbing into your Thyroid so I dont generally use that one. BUT RAW and ORGANIC IS SO IMPORTANT to get daily. Not too much of the Starchy ones like potatoes and carrots or beats--just limit them. VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT__STAY AWAY FROM COOKED TOMATOES AND TOMATO SAUCES especially combined with white flour pastas...and no raw onions, no raw peppers...The body just cant digest well. Cooked Tomatoes and white pasta are LETHAL --I dont know why, they just are...can cause lots of joint swelling and inflammation. No alfalfa sprouts either. Hope this helps--Jacquelyn

Yes, most suggestions sound reasonable. However, two major remedies deserved mentioned, one is a baking soda with malic acid, which is reacted to be malate, such as 500 mg of malic acid with baking soda, say 1000 mg, will help chronic fatigue to some extent, but magnesium is needed too, such as 500 mg to 1000 mg of magnesium chloride. Generally an inflammed thyroid in a lupus is a fungus condition responsible. I have been lately experimenting with a newer remedy to rid of that inflammed which can be applied two ways to reduce the inflammation. A 10% solution of ammonium chloride applied to the throat areas perhaps mixed with a little 5% of milk of magnesia, or a stronger 10% solution of ammonium bicarbonate. It should be noted that a lupus may not observe themselve but I can see improvement when baking soda and borax was supplement over the course of a week, unknown to them since its positive effect while not immediate were very clear. Hence baking soda and borax still remains the major remedy. The other issue is the weakness and lack of energy can be restored mostly with 5-10 drops of 3% H2O2. Steaks and overcooked meat even organic were problematic still. However, most foods, if organic can't be found can be neutralized by 90% by soaking in a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide, such as 0.5% H2O2 soaking for roughly 5 minutes. The meat may pale in a few case from the peroxide, but it does neutralize insecticides and antibiotics. As well as hydrogen peroxide usually 5-10 drops will have an effect in lifting the energy for 2-3 hours, and hence is taken every 2-3 hours. Too much hydrogen peroxide taken too long may deplete vitamin C, and caused headaches and vitamin C sodium ascorbate is often taken at 1000 mg a day, to balance off this.

Nearly every lupus sufferers I have found were all exposed to heavy metals of some kind, either mercury amalgam, vaccines mercury from Gulf War Syndrome vaccines used, from heavy metals in faulty showers, old faucets, old metal water filter and even one person was working in metal working and another was a metal inspector, or another lived near ships where water has high heavy metals. Hence chlorella and spirulina helps and forms the foundation for lupus.

The newer remedy against this fungus lupus, is the ammonium chloride. Is applied to throat area at 10% solution to reduce inflammation. In my opinion a low dose ammonium chloride such as 1/16 teaspoon or 1/10 teaspoon ammonium chloride dissolved in 1 glass of water is drank at only 1/3 of that and then later at 1/3 and finally in evening at 1/3 or whatever left over. This is a fairly low dose to killing off the fungus. The ammonium chloride is a diuretic, clears fungus from the system, and may cause warming initially as the body detox and should clear up some of the skin problem. In any event application on the thryoid externally is one way to do it, although a mild approach will reduce inflammation s thyroid can produce normally without excess reliance on hormone replacelement. In excess the body become to dependent and cause a thyroid shutdown, which can last for days in some cases, even a natural Amour thyroid.

Another remedy that seems to digest certain kinds of lupus is the bloodroot tincture. The remedy is 2-6 drops of bloodroot tincture in ethanol (not methanol) dissolved in 1/2 glass of water three times a day. The bloodroot tincture will digest certain lupus that caused inflammation and most notably reduce up to 90% of pain in a couple of cases I encountered.

If there is anything I like to add, I would just say the important remedy is always borax, hydrogen peroxide, bloodroot tincture, baking soda, potassium citrate (as used in alkalizing remedies) chlorella and spirulina and magnesium. Iodine drops helps thyroid functions, as in lugols solution for example. The newest remedy I am updating here is the ammonium chloride or ammonium bicarbonate to reduce glandular inflammation so that once inflammation isn't there, the glandular functions can work, especially when taken at very small amount internally can turn on many glandular functions as is borax. In fact the antifungal that neutralize fungus are the borax and ammonium chloride. Hydrogen peroxide helps, but it's effect are short term lasting a couple of hours on energy. It clears the blood for all three - namely borax, ammonium chloride and hydrogen peroxide, not taken at the same time, of course. The hydrogen peroxide drops is taken separately. The ammonium is divided in three dose, and borax is in dirnking water. But a borax and hydrogen peroxide can be combined in practice. For example, in one liter of water 30 drops of 3% H2O2 (some like 20 drops) plus 1/8 teaspoon of borax (or 1/4 depending on the size and the results).

A xylitol is an interesting one that deserves mentioned in itself. If the body is properly alkalize the xylitol will prevent further infection, but if taken alone leads to pain, if not propearly alkalized. It helps reduce infection by preventing attachment. So it's a two edge sword. I used them for urinary tract infection.

Sea salt is an important remedy in lupus and the dose is between 1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon per glass. Preferable dose is likely to be closer to 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon per day. The dose can also be mixed in the borax/hydrogen peroxide in the drinking water also. So we can call this borax/hydrogen peroxide/sea salt in one liter of drinking water solution.

Diet control are important to avoid a flare up, especially white sugar, honey, white flour and overcooked meats, and steaks. Fish and vegetables are generally safer and yes, millet and brown rice are generally the best grains, but taken not too much.

A supporting remedy not mentioned but support liver function is granulated lecithin taken at one tablespoon a day which reduces liver congestion and also help reduce blood sugar. Drinking plenty of water during meals prevent blood sugar spikes that normally result in inflammation during lunch that occurs around afternoon. Thus if liquids were driank before during and after meal, the inflammation would redusce as liquies would reduce the blood sugar spikes that caused the inflammation and weakness that occured after meals.

A good pH balance needs potassium also, not just baking soda and muscle pain may be most helpful with the magnesium.

Dear Ted, Re: SLE - Lupus remedies feedback (baking soda, borax, ACV and coriander)

I thank God for you and for leading me to earthclinic when I started researching on lupus to understand what lupus was all about. Numerous renowned medical websites and my rheumatologist claim lupus causes are not known, there's no cure and advocate prescribed drugs are the only way to put lupus under control, some with lifetime consumption. I was deceived by such websites and my rheumatologist initially until I found your contributions in earthclinic. I've got a rheumatologist who is always quick to add dosages in the name of preventing flare-ups, by simply basing on unreliable numbers from laboratory tests which are not lupus-specific, scares me. You have imparted valuable truths and knowledge for healthy living. Thank you very much for being very patient, very kind and very committed in finding lupus cure and with me. I suppose this is not your job and you are doing this outside your working time, I truly appreciate you and all that you have done.

I'm in my mid-30s, I've got SLE with no organs implications. I'm weaning off prednisolone which I've taken for 2½ years, the side effects were getting more unbearable and worrisome and the frequency of pains and inflammation were on the increase without your lupus remedies, dropped plaquenil recently which caused blindness intermittently and I've tried traditional chinese medication for 5 weeks which gave me many other side effects, your lupus remedies gave me strong confidence to wean off prednisolone. I know long-term consumption of prednisolone will shut down my immune system and from a patient's point of view and experience, I concur with you that I should not suppress my immune system. Insofar I strongly believe there's no way I can wean off prednisolone without your lupus remedies. Your lupus remedies deal with the causes and hence the pain reduction or elimination and in my opinion, they do it speedily relative to the other treatments I've tried. I hardly change my diet to know and monitor what works for me and against me.

When I first read about your borax treatment on earthclinic, I had much faith in it even before I tried it. The very mention of lupus nanoinsects feeding on heavy metals caused me to link it with the nose infection I had about 8 years ago and I thought it made so much sense. I developed this nose infection shortly after I joined a MNC selling valves when I had to come into contact with them. I had 1 dent on each side of my nose, they looked like my flesh has been eaten up. Before this nose infection was cured 7 years ago, the scalps were never dried up and were growing bigger by and by. I had a biopsy done 7 years ago and I just found out recently I had discoid lupus then.

Over the last 6 months, I've tried your lupus remedies separately to see and feel my body's response to each of them:

1) 1/8 teaspoon of borax in 1 litre of water on empty stomach - I drank 250 ml 4 times a day and eating fresh coriander on empty stomach everyday to chelate mercury which feeds the lupus nanoinsects

When I first started borax treatment, I took it 4 days consecutively. I didn't see any lupus nanoinsects (tiny black dots) surfacing from my skin and I didn't have diarrhea, I used a see-through glass container to collect my stools hoping to see these tiny black dots. My stools are usually light brown to medium brown but during these 4 days, my stools were totally covered by so much of these tiny black dots (I broke down the stools with water to make sure they were not black stools to begin with) and I also experienced constipation and had piles. I understood from you that the dead lupus nanoinsects also cause inflammation hence the constipation and the piles did not make me stop the borax treatment. No more piles for subsequent borax treatments. I had loss of appetite and I experienced drowsiness whenever I take this borax treatment and I welcome drowsiness because I could sleep only 2-4 hours a day for the last decade. For a few months, I was very aggressive on borax treatment because I knew I had 'sticky blood', evident by the big blood clots from my periods. I made the mistake of not unclotting my blood first to allow the borax treatment penetrate into all my cells. The lupus nanoinsects were kinda wrapped up inside the blood clots. I used asprin as per your advice to unclot my blood and I have much lesser 'black blood' during menstruation now, which I've learnt from you that it is an indication of lowered levels of bacterial infection. I'm less dependent of borax treatment now that I don't see tiny black dots from my stools.

2) ½ teaspoon of baking soda in ½ mug of water on empty stomach once in the morning and once before bedtime in the evening to provide unfavourable terrain for mycoplasmas growth

Recently, I had a very speedy recovery from flare-up using this. I had a huge flare-up (intense pains and inflammation everywhere in my body) caused by eating vegetables not cleared of chemicals previously sprayed on them and sugar intake. The chemicals and sugar seem to fuel mycoplasmas growth very fast, gauging from the speed and intensity of pains and inflammation spreading all over my body. Bearing in mind I've been taking prednisolone and plaquenil faithfully since 2½ years ago, they didn't help one bit in any way whenever flare-ups occur. Then I took baking soda treatment and borax treatment on empty stomach, on an alternate basis with 1 hour interval 3-4 times each and only had one meal for the day before I took medicine, the pains and inflammation reduced by 80% at the end of the same day. The next day and the day after, I simply take the baking soda treatment as per normal without taking borax treatment, no more pains and inflammation by the 3rd day. I didn't see any tiny black dots from my stools during these 3 days, figured baking soda treatment did the job. The existence of lupus nanoinsects or mycoplasmas give rise to the same kind of pains and inflammation.

3) 1 teaspoon of baking soda + 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar + 8 teaspoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice + 250 ml of water on empty stomach

Prior to asprin intake, this ACV treatment has made my blood less sticky, the blood clots became smaller. Together with baking soda treatment, the white coating (candida) on my tongue is getting less concentrated, I see more redness on my tongue. From https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/acvinegar.html#why, I'm sure it also helps me in many areas which I'm not aware of.

I shout "YEA! YEA! YEA!" to the abovementioned lupus remedies.

God Bless You

I have been using the vinegar and baking soda for lupus, also seasalt and borax. Since I have been using it I have had a cold and cough. I have had it for over a month now and feel better from the symtoms I had from Lupus, but the cold and cough won't go away am wondering if it is part of the detox. Also what is the maintenance once you have taken the vinegar and baking soda and borax.

Before I forget to mention, Shara from Philadelphia..if you are still reading this post, I highly recommend you get tested for Pompe's Disease...otherwise, something you are taking is causing the rapid muscle breakdown and brown urine, which is called rhabdomyolysis, ..high fluoride in teas and other sources such as drugs can do the same thing.

Ted, you have some good information posted on this site and I will like to add to it...after developing an autoimmune disease myself, I researched extensively on the issue. In the end, I decided that the majority of all autoimmune appear to be linked to a retrovirus, gluten, mycobacteria, silica, or all of them together. Retroviruses can be kept in check with vitamin E and selenium, and killed with fresh coconut meat. The gluten issue is related to strep and staph. Strep bacteria are used in mice to induce autoimmune disease. You can do what is called a BlAST search on pubmed...for a protein/protein interaction, and you will find that the gluten protein resembles the protein coat of strep and staph bacteria...that can trigger disease....be aware that most yogurt has a harmless strep added..but this is not good for autoimmune sufferers...that is why dairy is an issue...along with the fact that strep and staph bacteria are present in milk and yogurt. These bacteria loves low body temperature...so in a hypothyroid situation, (such as that caused by fluoride or triclosan in your antibacterial soap) they run rampant. Be aware that the reason most autoimmune sufferes have B-vitamin deficiencies is when strep/staph are involved, that is because that is WHAT THEY EAT, in combination with chromium(strep and staph need B vitamins and chromium to survive)...So if you cook on stainless steel and take high doses of B-vitmains..you are feeding strep like crazy..try eating a banana and see if your symptoms worsen..haha .Next comes the silica...this is the one that you probably have never heard of...fluoride is added to water in the form of a fluorosilicate..the fluoride reduces white blood cells, but at the same time, the silicate reduces the ability of a person with autoimmune to fight off mycobacteria. Mycobacteria thrive on silica..and some foods are high in silicon...that is how they form the scar tissue...haven't you heard of the breast plant issue with silicon and autoimmune? Anything ground up (such as seasonings), many medicines in capsules, etc..and even table salt, which also has silica added to it to make things "pour" will be a problem with autoimmune sufferers..and you will form scar tissue. The mycobacteria uses the silica in this way in a destructive manner, especially in the presence of fluoride...to make scar tissue. Studies show that TB patients cannot fight off tuberculosis (which is also caused by a mycobacterial infection) if silica is being consumed. You can research this if you want to. I have read that mycobacteria are vulnerable to citrate, tetracycline, monocycline (which, unlike tetracycline, penetrates tissues),and copper. So what does all of this add up to??? I wanted to see if I can make my symptoms completely disappear WITHOUT ANY SUPPLEMENTS...yes you heard me right. It happened...but the problem is, it is a very restrictive (but simple) diet: Elimate all sources that feed mycobacteria, retroviruses, and strep/staph. This boils down no fluoride, silica, and gluten, and foods with B-vitamins added. No fluoride is hard...spring water low in fluoride, do not cook on non-stick cookware in any form, and avoiding high fluoride foods such as chicken, soy, and canned meats. Reduce silica means avoiding seasonings that pour or that you sprinkle on food, and high silicon foods...(i.e.use fresh herbs only for seasoning). Low/No HCL in the stomach is generally caused by fluoride toxicity...you end up with HF instead of HCL inthe stomach, which sets up hypothyroidism, and that will now allow strep/staph, and retroviruses to thrive...also the problem with red meat is this..the stomach is lined with a sodium layer..when you ingest red meat, it pulls the sodium from the lining stomach, and creates a inflammatory condition...because of lack of sodium...mycobacteria thrives on sodium, making the problem worse...but you need sodium to digest your food. And finally, the gluten issue: by avoiding gluten, your body does not launch an autoimmune response to type IV collagen...gluten once again, looks like the protein coat that covers strep and staph..but also that makes up type IV collagen, which is present throughout your body, including your kidneys...and this collagen gets attacked. This is a very general and short version of what i could say, but I hope many find this information useful. Feel free to email for more info. and clarification.

Without getting confused in lupus remedies, I am going to make it simple and concentrate on major supplements that resulted in major improvements.

I have seen lupus to improve most significantly from only four things being the most important. These are the bare minimum:

1. Alkalizing pH. 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda taken twice a day in 1/2 glass of water on an empty stomach. Urinary pH MUST be at LEAST 7.0

2. Vitamin D3 2,000 i.u.- 20,000 i.u./day. Magnesium is synergistic with the vitamin D at about 250 mg of mangesium citrate. Vitamin D I found accidentally after I noticed lupus tend to worsen during winter with less sun, and when early summer arrive, the lupus was reduced. Excess sun exposure is still not recommended for lupus, but vitamin d seems to increase the immune systems.

3. 1/8 teaspoon of borax taken weekly diluted in 1 liter of water taken in divided dose throughout the day.

4. No acid forming supplements! Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal hydrochloride) and Nicotinic acid, were the biggest problems in creating a lupus, not because they are vitamin B, but because they are acid forming. One is a hydrochloride, the other is the nicotinic acid. If they are other that are alkaline forming, they are relatively toxic to both staph and strep.

5. Contaminated water supply. Yes fluoride, chlorine, but I also found free heavy metals contaminants to be the big cause also. Certain water had unknown chemicals and switching them to mineral water did major improvement were seen in the condition of lupus.

6. No sweets, too much meats, pizza, steaks, oily foods, white flour, and fried foods. They make the condition so much worse as they too are acid forming.

Those are the big six that resulted in major improvements. You can do the other things later. I have as yet to fine tune this, but lupus is still rare where I live. If I get any more information on lupus, I will update them as it comes along.

Ok ted and ec readers.

i am a person who has hyperthyroid. i have written a few posts on here about this and i was reading again teds lupus remedies and something struck me and i dont know why it hasnt before because i have read this post a hundred times. Rhonda from Charleston SC wrote about autoimmunity being connected to strep and staph bacteria. Thats when it hit me that 2 and a half years ago i was diagnosed with Group B strep while i was pregnant. (and i must say that it is not a very pleasant test) Any ways i was told that it was no big deal and that they would give me antibiotics when i was in labor so the baby wouldnt get it. And i never thought anymore about it... until now and i cant find much info about it on the www. other than its part of the strep bacteria family. So my question to ted and others is, What is this Group B strep? Could this be a reason as to why i have a Hyperthyroid? and How in the world do i get rid of it? I dont want it and i dont want to be a carrier of this disease. Or any other for that matter. if anyone knows about group B strep i would love any info. Please, even if it dosent pertain to anything i have asked.

also they say Group B strep is not very common, well of the 4 others who were pregnant at the same time 3 off us had it and were told the same thing.

Thanks so much in adavance
Peace love and life

Jen

I am glad to read that we are waking up. I was diagnosed with lupus along with several other ailments, which only devoloped during taking medication for an operation and having to wait on the waiting list for 8 months. I am in the process of trying to figure out my diet and allergies too. I am nearly back to normal. but i really believe the damage has been done already. So its no more medication for me. We are all guinea pigs. I believe a number of the drugs that I had been taken have since been taken of the market. We all need to think twice before taking medication.

Pharma drugs basically don't treat the cause, it has always been to treat for the symptoms. It has and always will be the most profitable venue for a pharma drugs, to get people to buy drugs like they were an addictive drugs until you go to the grave. What can be more profitable than that? It is even legal to say the least, which is hugely more profitable than selling heroine since you can sell them legally.

If you read many of my postings, it is the cause that I am trying to treat. Strange alien sounding medicine sounds more like toxic chemicals to me and I think finding the cause of the lupus and treat ourself for the cause is really the best ways toward a more healthy body.

The lupus issue I think that helps is to get regular bowel movements, alkalizing the body, vitamin D supplements, being the top of my lists in dealing with lupus but at least without the crutches and the extreme expenses of Pharma drugs.

Thank you so much!! I have been ill for my entire life but I was hospitalized when I was 13 yrs old. The Dr's had nothing useful to me other than a sugar and Saline drip and a lot of bed rest. They said that what I had looked like lupus but they could not peg it. Finally a few years ago I learned that Lupus ran in my family thus I believe that I may have a bastardized version of Lupus. My mother put me on a vitamin theorapy treatment of vitamins e,c,Lecithin, Bcomplex, multi, omega 3, Calcium, and many other things here and there. Just recently I have added Lipoic acid. I can honestly say that my lupus has not progressed as the Dr's were afraid of with out their treatment. They said that I would be in a wheelchair by the time I was 19 yrs old and now I am 29 and just having less episodes than when I was 13. I do still have episodes that consist of Extreme muscle break down, memory loss, Brown urine and extreme muscle cramping. Skin rashes are also a symptom along with facial sores that my have bonded with a herpes simplex virus. This mixture of herpes and lupus rash is a constant battle but I contain it by taking L-Lysine, Larrea Root, and Red Marine Algea. But still I am very vulnerable to virus attacks b/c of my immune system and when I contract a virus it sends me into an episode that can take me down for a week to a month depending on the virus. Anyway just wanted let you know that your information is very useful to me and I plan to use it daily

Before I say anything about this Holistic treatment on Lupus I would like to thank Ted from Bangkok, Thiland for posting this Lupus treatment on the internet.

I am 20 years old and I have been diagnosed with Lupus when I was 18. I have been taking pills for 2 1/2 years now and I was devastated. I've been to four different Rheumotologists - The best ones here in New York city and all of them told me the same thing. They told me that I'm going to have Lupus for the rest of my life and that I am going to have to take medications for the rest of my life so my Lupus conditions won't get worse. That's a lie!!! This is a true story of my life experiences I want everyone with Lupus to read about. Wether your conditions are mild, moderate, or severe. The things that Ted from Thailand said has saved me from this disease. I really thank you Ted.

My father had severe Lupus ever since I was 7 years old. My father took all his medications and went to the doctor for blood tests once a month and his Lupus became worse. First it affected his legs and he couln't walk well and when he walked fast he ended up falling on the ground. When I was 11 years old my father was hospitalized because at home his head was extreamely red and he had blood in his brain at the time. He stayed in the hospital for two months. He became a little bit better and he was released from the hospital. He was still very sick and he was getting worse as months went by. But when I was 18 years old my father ended up in the hospital for good. My father was 54 years old back then. For two years my father went from hospital to nursing home constantly and for two years I did not see my father home as I used to before that. I prayed everyday and I told god I want my father and everyone else who is sick to get better one day and live a healthy and normal life at home with their family.

That did not happen for me. My father took all his medications, two pnemonia vaccines, several surgeries, he was also on morphienes and in two years after he was transferred from hospital to nursing home he passed away at the age of 56 on December 11, 2004.

I have been diagnosed with Lupus when my father was in the hospital. I was given Plaquenil 200mg. I took it 2 times a day with Bayer asprin 81mg one a day. I took the plaquenil and the asprin for a year and a half. I developed arthritis on my shoulder, fingers, arms and legs. Two doctors gave me plaquenil at the time. My arthritis was getting worse and worse. My doctor told me it was because of the lupus so I decided to go to another doctor he gave me prednisone and it made me sleep all the time I told my doctor and he told me keep taking it as your body adjusts to the medication. I went to the fourth doctor, he told me to take Methylprednisolone 4mg, Chloroquine phosphate 250mg, and the Bayer asprin once a day. In 6 months I felt very week, my memory was not good, and everyone who saw me knew I was sick because my face had changed and I looked sick. I was tired of all this. For two years I was looking for the cure of Lupus and I came across what Ted wrote here so I told myself I will give it a try. I am taking a little more than what Ted mentioned above. I am taking Calcium/Magnesium 500mg/250mg, Vitamin E 400IU, Vitamin C with bioflavonoids 1000mg, vitamin B complex 50mg, Niacin (in the form of nicotinic acid) 100mg, Zinc 30mg, L-carnitine 500mg, Alpha Lipoic acid 60mg, and N-Acetyl-L-cysteine 600mg. I take all of these once a day along with Echinacea 3ml daily, RNA/DNA supplement 100mg/10mg daily. I know that Ted mentioned Cellfood but it's very expensive and I cannot afford it, and I also take Kyolic aged garlic 600mg 3 times a day for my arthritis. The only vitamin I am not taking is vitamin A. I have taken these vitamins and suplements for a month now and was shocked to see my blood test results. I compared my blood test results from last month (I was taking the medications) and This month (when I am taking my vitamins and supplements) I saw a big improvement on the results. The first blood test was terrible that was when I was taking my medicine. And my blood test results now are perfect with everything being at the normal range and it's as if I do not have Lupus at all. With these supplements and vitamins I feel strong, energetic, and my memory is perfect because I remember things clearly now and as a college student my grades are up too, I am very Happy now that I got my Lupus cured but I will still be taking my vitamins and supplements.

Thank you Ted from Bangkok Thiland for putting this on the internet.
