6 ONIONS
4 CARROTS
6 TOMATOS
1 1/2 KILLOS WATER
1 CELERY

you have to mince all of them together with regular soup (you can usually get this in european stores its just plain soup with nothing on it or you can do it without the soup it all depends on the taste you like)

Eat all of this for one week nothing else and I gurantee you will lose 12 or more pounds in 7 days, I lost 12 in my first week I will continue and let you know...

Good luck

I tried to stick to this for a week, a couple of times, coming off a fast. The first day or two was great. After that, it was just impossible for me to stick to. I got hungry. I think you need more protein than this to lose weight, although it might be good for a temporary cleansing diet. What worked for me was a food journal. I noticed that beef and chocolate did not make me gain weight--surprise, surprise! But soy, cabbage (even cooked), peaches and broccoli would cause me to gain 2 lbs overnight. This points to a thyroid problem, even though my tests results are normal. OK by me--I don't take prescriptions anyway.

Vitamin C

PCOS and EXERCISE RESISTANT WEIGHT GAIN:

I have been overweight since gradeschool. Nobody pointed out that eating icecream every night before bed would cause weight gain... PCOS began in my 20s, from coffee? Chocolate? Birth control pills? Don't really know.

BUT!! High dose vitamin C has been *excellent* for exercise resistant weight problems!!!!, which was aparently a detox/edema issue.

I mix a couple grams of vitamin C with baking soda and water, let it fizz, and drink it. I don't even need to exercise.

I realized it was reducing my weight when I mixed it up one day (maybe with fresh lemon juice added) and for the first time kept adding baking soda until it didn't fizz any more. A few days after I noticed my thighs were much slimmer and firmer. I suspect it gave me kidney stones, though, so I use less now.

The vit c is making the weight come off in all the hard to lose places - belly, hips, thighs, face. Not sure if the baking soda is necessary. It might be. I like to mix in fresh lemon or lime juice.

Lasix and Slimfast (w/ hunger control) were also very effective for weight loss, but less healthy. Regular Slimfast always left me hungry, but the hunger control kind I would drink and not be hungry or tired or even want food all day. I used it for about two years, went from an 18 to a 14. I quit because of the sucralose in it.

If you are *very* desperate to lose weight though I would recommend it. Just make SURE you eat some fresh fruit or veggies every day to keep your bowels clean. And drink water.

I also recommend lots of garlic, cilantro, parsley, and turmeric for their detox properties.

When I was in gradeschool someone gave me diet soda ( Diet Rite if I recall) for the first time and I have a vived memory of how fuzzy and foggy my head was after. It was like just like static on a tv screen but in my head. I was formerly very energetic and cheerful but ever since have struggled. My grandmother drank a lot of the same diet soda and died of Alzhiemer's.

Walking

I just wanted to mention that every time I have an exercise program where I walk every morning for 1/2 hour I lose weight. When I get confident and start running, I start to gain weight. This has happened a half dozen times so I'm sure it's not coincidence. Like I just read from Dr. Mercola, the assertion that to lose weight one has to simply eat less and move more is not true. It may be true for some people, but if you have weak adrenals you will put on weight (fatty inches esp. around the waist) with aerobic exercise. Once (a few years ago) I tried eating next to nothing for 2 months and lost about 2 lbs. Then I started taking licorice root (and eating properly) and lost 7 lbs. in one week. Obviously it's all hormonal related. Of course, if someone is eating junk food all day it would be the obvious place to start to cut that out. But I know people who could eat all day and be all the skinnier for it. Some are related to me. So if you eat a healthy diet and exercise but still can't lose the inches, maybe you're exercising too hard and eating too little. Moderation in all things!

In the morning, I mix 1Tbl ACV with a pint of water, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. I put it in a bottle and drink it throughout the day. I repeat the prosedure in the afternooon, so I drink 2 pints a day. It cures everything (my acne, sore throat, stomach ache, dry skin, sore joints...etc) I've been doing this for 3 months, and have dropped 7.5 kilograms! I <3 water! Be sure to mix it with salt and vinegar, so you don't lose vital nutrients, and sodium!

Weight Loss Remedies After Pregnancy

Hi Shazi-- I found that not eating or drinking four to five hours between meals is the best remedy for weight loss. Both of my babies were breech and only one was a caesarean. I had struggled with weight problems before I got pregnant and learned how necessary it was not to put anything in my mouth, not even a taste, between meals. It is necessary to eat balanced meals so you are satisfied and to eliminate cravings. If you are breastfeeding drink large amounts of water after you eat and/or nurse. Right now, just love that baby... It took you nine months to gain the weight and it will take awhile to come off. When you first get up in the morning, pull in your stomach, tuck your butt and do side bends. Start with ten (each side) then add two each day. That will help but that's not the most important thing right now. You can also just keep pinching/massaging the area while sitting.

Yacon Powder

Yacon syrup/powder helps support weight loss and helps improve intestinal motility.

The powder is much better tasting than the syrup. (bought it online from a nut/seed distributor).

One teaspoon to one tablespoon can be taken before a meal (mixed into water or just taken as a sweet powder), a few minutes to an hour before the meal.

* Too much can cause intestinal distress/diarrhea, (sometimes noticed only a few days later) so the dosage should be adjusted accordingly.

Yacon also lowers hunger level, so that one needs to eat less. It is also a pre-biotic helping to grow good bacteria.

It has many other benefits. It helps against certain cancers. It is anti-fungal. It helps to lower blood sugar, to lower cholesterol, to lower blood pressure. It helps the liver.

Yam Noodles

Shiratake Japanese 100% konjak asian yam noodle is 97pc water and 3pc fibre. It has the uncanny property of expanding in the stomach to give the effect of being very full. It is 20cal per 100g. I find it useful for weight loss and constipation. Also for piles as the fibe is very smooth at the exit end, compared with other products such as bran does not aggravate the situation at a time one should increase fibre intake. After a lifetime of discomfort I think this may well be the ultimate gut prouct as it is a meal, noodle comes wet- in a water bag, so preparation is minimal. Please note it has no nutritional value at all so add to meals with care to ensure balance. Carried by oriental shops and health shops, Japanese and Korean in particular, though Chinese will know what you mean at the very least.

If you don't live near an Asian grocer and want to buy Shirataki noodles OR konnyaku jelly (that's the startchy form of shirataki, which can be added to soups, stews, and stir fried) online, here are a few resources:

If you're in the US or Canada: http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/category/shirataki-noodles
If you live in Europe or the UK: http://www.japancentre.com/

Please read the directions on the packet, many shirataki and konnyaku noodles give off a strange odor and need to be boiled before hand.

Please also consider this a yay for shirataki and konnyaku! Both are very high in fibre, contain no gluten, are very low-carbohydrate and either free or extremely low in calories.

Yerba Mate Tea

I've recently been drinking yerba mate tea. Approximately three tea bags a day, and found that it really does increase one's energy and suppress appetite. However, I've researched it on various web sites and now find that drinking too much of it can in somes cases cause cancer. Does Ted or anyone else have any thoughts on this? Many thanks.

I drink Yerba mate. Sipping it during the day, warm or cold. It suppresses my appetite and I don't get the same 'wired' feeling from coffee. (which is why I drink it haha)

Hi, I just want to tell you guys about Yerba Mate. I am from Uruguay, South America, where we drink mate every single day, all day. It is safe , good for your digestion, keeps you awake naturally ( so do not drink it in the evening if you are not used to it) and helps decrease your appetite. In the US you can find it at the latin markets. As far as the cancer, it has been related to cancer of the esophagus but it can happen with any beverage you drink hot , so to clarify it is related to the temperature of the drink not to the kind of drink itself.
Hope this helps!
