I got really bad food poisoning on a Friday evening, didn't sleep much that night with stomach cramps and felt bloated and as if I have a huge rock on my stomach. I could only sit or barely stand a couple hours after I ate the bad food. The pain and discomfort, which I won't go into details, lasted for about three days. I was exhausted and had little energy to get around. Just before I was about to call my Doctor to get antibiotics, I went online to read about food poisoning, came across this site remedies, read them, and decided to give ACV a try. I had nothing to lose and it is a very inexpensive trial. I took two gulps of the ACV. I know most of the testimonies suggest one tablespoon full, but I figure I was in a lot of pain, so went for it. The first gulp was like taking a shot of tequila; it burned some but it also felt good at the same time. Then waited a few seconds and took the second gulp; that one went smooth. I did feel the effect of the acid working its way into my stomach and intestines. I then had a different sensation in addition to my pain. Ten minutes later, I drank some water since I took more than recommended dose, and went about my routine. I can't figure out the exact time it took to stop all my pain, but I think it may have been about ten minutes or so total. The pain was gone. My intestines were a bit sore since I have been in pain for about three days. Next morning I woke up feeling well. I took two tablespoons full just to be sure I have killed the bacteria. I now feel very alert, with energy, so excited I discovered this website. I have been sharing my experience with everyone I know and care about. One more note, since ACV did the trick, I wonder what else I could use it for, so I decided to use it as a mouthwash after I brushed my teeth. It left my teeth and gums cleaned.

Thank you to whomever came up with this remedy. I am back to normal again.

Food Poisoning: My wife Melissa had a severe case of food poisoning today and ACV fixed everything! When she woke up this morning she was feeling very queasy and had diarrhea right before she started throwing up. We had to be out the door early this morning - I was taking her to an office meeting while I went to the mall. She was so sick she couldn't even smoke a cigarette (she's a pack a day smoker), and she didn't want a coffee... or even water for that matter... We have about a 30 minute drive to her work and she never lets me drive but she was so sick she pulled over and threw up then told me to drive. In the hour and a half she was at work she threw up 4 more times. We headed home and we had to pull over twice because she couldn't even make the last few blocks to the house. We tried gravol earlier but she threw it up. I bought some chewable gravol (upon the advice of the pharmacist because she couldn't keep water down) and then she threw that up too. I put her to bed and went to the store for ACV after reading these reviews. I came home and she was throwing up and heaving again! About 30 seconds after she finished throwing up I made her take the ACV and the nausea INSTANTLY subsided. She then slept for 2 hours and when she got up to have a soak in the bath she said "I can't believe it! I don't know what's in that stuff but I feel 100% better!!!" (still a little sore, of course, from the retching). We'll keep ACV in the house from now on for emergencies like this and I think this will be our new sworn remedy for food poisoning!!

I had been a bit drained and tired all day. About an hour ago I was shakey, a bit nauseous and weak. I sent my bf out to get me some apple juice. The moment I had 1 cup of apple juice and 2 TBL spoons of ACV, i felt INSTANT relief. I was definitely not expecting it. My bf had food poisoning or some kind of stomach bug over the past day and I was scared I might get it too. I went ahead and took the concoction and I feel fine besides the heartburn which will reside in a few minutes. I dont have as much gas in my stomach and my shakiness has lessened. :) I hope I had enough liquid with the ACV since this is my first time trying it.

I just recently started going to Earthclinic.com referred 2 by my mother. Lastn ight my daughter threw up 4 times between 1:30 am & 4:30 am.She'd returned the morning b4 from S Padre Island where she'd gone 4 the weekend 4 spring break around 11:30 am. When she arrived home, she ate cereal after feeding her hampters, kittens & puppy. She then went 2 her boyfriends house where she drank 2 big glasses of orange juice. She couldn't think of n e thing else she'd had besides the oj th@ may hav made her sick. Finally I got on the internet, looked u up & searched under throwing up, then food poisoning, where i came 2 acv. W had just bought acv last time i'd gone 2 the store bcoz i'd read it was a cureall basically n ur articles. She's still not feeling well, but she hasn't thrown up since. I'm not quite sure th@s the best thing however. Shouldn't she throw all the food poisoning up? Please let me know.

No it won't hurt her it stop throwing up, just make her feel better. The only time it's dangerous to stop vomiting is in cases where it's caused by alcohol or a chemical poisoning. However, with food poisoning due to a bacteria or virus, the infection has already been established and the immune system will just have to fight it off. Throwing up doesn't get rid of it, it's just a symptom due to irritation in the stomach. I hope your daughter is doing better!

I have been using ACV now since relegiously reading article on your site almost a year now. My whole family recently came down with stomach flu and myself, and my son age 5 who loves vinegar drank a spoonfull of ACV every few hours and overcame the illness within 24 hours. I did not vomit. my son only vomited once, that was before he took the ACV then he made an instant recovery. My husband and daughter who refused to take it and thought I was mad suffered for days with crippling stomach pains and unable to keep any food down...

Thank god for your site wish I knew about it along time ago It could have saved me so much illness.

I went to the mall earlier today, where I ate at one of the restraunts in the food court. Just as I got home, I was on the toilet. I had some bad painful diarrhea. I figured I woudld search for a home remedy to what I believe would be some sort of food poisoning. I wasn't sure if we had any Apple Cider Vinegar, but I figured I would look. I'm sipping some now, on ice as I type this. I've never drank the stuff, but it's not too bad. It's very sour, but I can sip it. My stomach is already feeling better. I don't have to keep running to the bathroom.

Two weeks ago, my Fiance had food poisoning and was' in and out of the bathroom for about 12 hours. So i went online and read on this article that Apple Cider Vinegar would help. I had him take two tablespoons. He said he did feel better, but this only lasted for an hour and went back to hugging the toilet. This made me wonder if ACV really did work. Well, last night it was my turn to get food poisoning. But as soon as i felt that i was feeling sick i immediately took 1 tablespoon (that's as much as i could handle) of ACV. I only went to the bathroom ONCE after, and immediately felt better all throughout the day! I now believe that ACV works very well, but you must remember to take it ASAP! It didn't work on my Fiance because he was too dehydrated already, but it worked for me by preventing me from getting worse.

My girlfriend ate a tuna, cheese and bean toastie on vogels and shortly after felt sick. We went to the movies where half way through she had to go to the toilet. There she spewed and had diarrhoea (at the same time!). Then to make matters worse she discovered that there was no toilet paper available. So she cut up her knickers and used that. Which blocked the toilet. After the movie she was burbing like a demon possessed. When we got home I looked up this website and food the suggestion of using ACV. I found some ACV & honey called Honeygar. However it was 3.5 years past the use by date. I gave it to her anyway and she feels much better. Thank you.

When I got food poisoning last night at 4am I had no AVC, but i did have distilled white vinegar. I had my husband pour a tall glass of water with 1 tbsp of white vinegar and I drank about 2/3rd's of it. Normally when I get food poisoning I'm in the bathroom for 5-6 hours throwing up and having terrible stomach pain. Last night I throw up only twice. I was able to leave the bathroom after an hour of waiting and my terrible tummy pain weakened after two hours.Three hours after it started I was sleeping again, and even though I still feel somewhat weak today I'm really glad I remembered to use it last night.

About four months ago, my boyfriend and I used ACV to fight against a bug that had been going around. We had been looking at ACV as a possible addition to our diet because of all its reported benefits, so we had a bottle in the cabinet already and thought we might as well give it a try. My boyfriend got a sore throat first, so we both decided to' use ACV (diluted in hot water) to gargle and drinking a little bit (pure) for about three days straight. All of our friends went through weeks of a painful sore throat, coughing, and feeling terrible...but thanks to ACV, my boyfriend and I barely even felt sick for a day, and I have not had a cold since.

Also, one night I came home and I had a familiar feeling of feverishness, nauseousness and intestinal discomfort. I had felt the same way twice before when I had gotten the stomach flu, and I knew what was coming. I was shivering and miserable, but I felt like there was nothing that I could do to help myself and that I would just have to go through the hours and hours of sleeplessness, vomiting and exhaustion. My boyfriend went online and searched for a home cure for the stomach flu. ACV came up on Earthclinic, and I was willing to try it again because of how well it worked on my sore throat. I took two tablespoons directly. It wasn't hard at all, and I actually like the taste. Afterwards I experienced approximately 20 minutes of (very very mild) heartburn. About 10 minutes later, I started feeling better, and about 30-45 minutes later, I felt entirely fine. A little bit of the nauseousness returned the next night, but two more table spoons of ACV fixed that. A couple weeks later (I have bad luck) I got food poisoning from some korean food. Two tablespoons of ACV cured that too.

I'm convinced that ACV can cure a lot of things and really improve your health. I would drink it three times a day if I wasn't afraid of possible degenerative effects it might have on my teeth enamel.

I believe I contracted water poisoning from our tap, being that we had no water and I was really thirsty. On top of that, I'd let it sit out and all the chemicals had settled to the bottom. So I felt really weak the next day and had diarrhea and nausea the next day. I was completely miserable. Later that night, I felt like throwing up but couldn't. Finally I looked online for remedies and found this site. Luckily, we had apple cider vinegar and I'd taken it before for a bad cold and sore throat. I took it and immediately threw up. This may sound bad but I felt halfway back to normal and the nausea was gone. I took some more since I'd just thrown it up just five minutes ago. But it was way easier the second time and I already feel better already! At least try it!

ACV is the first thing we reach for when our tummies feel out of sorts. A tablespoon of ACV in a tall glass of water has helped us many times and usually very quickly. We try to take it the minute we get that feeling of sickness. Just sip it and take it easy until you start to feel better. I have had it work almost immediately -- sometimes it takes up to an hour. I wish I had known about ACV years ago, as I am prone to food poisoning.

I thought I had food poisoning yesterday morning from a brunch buffet the previous day. I was vomitting and had diarrhea. I really believed the ACV would work, after reading the testimonials. 3 times during the day I took 2 tablespoons of ACV. Each time, I held it down for about 10-20 minutes, then I vomitted. Everything I consumed that day, including pepto bismol, I vomitted after taking the ACV. I finally went to the doctor and was so dehydrated that they had to put me on IV to rehydrate before releasing me. Then they injected Zorphin (?), an anti-nausea medication, and had me sip pedialite every 20 minutes, and I felt much better. I was disappointed to learn ACV doesn't work for everyone. I appreciate the site, though.

ACV is not person-specific, it's microbe-specific. Clearly, not all food poisoning is caused by the same bug. this means ACV may work for you in the future IF the bug you get a dose of in your food can be neutralized by ACV.

After a long night and a trip to a fast food restaurant, I woke up at around 3am vomiting every half hour or so. I have had food poisoning in the past and have always thought I had to let it run it's course. What a miserable feeling! My boyfriend and I were in town visiting his mother, so that morning we went to her house were I continued to be ill and quite miserable. His mom saw that I was in a lot of pain and wanted to find a remedy for me. Shortly after searching the internet, she and my boyfriend went to the local grocery store and purchased the store brand acv for me. Within minutes after taking the 2 tbsp. I went from feeling horrible and sick to my stomach to feeling like a new person and full of energy. I was ill once more after taking the acv, but I had felt it coming on before I took it, and after that I was done vomiting and revitalized. To this day I tell everyone about this great cure whether or not they have food poisoning. I want to spread the word and make sure no one goes through that terrible experience unecessarily. Thank you for posting this helpful information.
