I had food poisoning twice, the first time didn't know what to do so of course I went to the hospital and got hit up with a $3000 bill.
The second time I got food poisoning and I actually thought about that $3000 bill and Google remedies for food poisoning. And there it was, the #1 remedy Apple Cider Vinegar, I was experiencing diarrhea, vomiting while in excruciating pain. I didn't know how much cider to take I was in so much pain I just took the bottle and took a couple of swigs. Within three seconds I was really vomiting but, I felt so much better... I had to repeat that process two more times. But from that point on I knew that I was being cured of my food poisoning without a $3000 bill. I am a nutritionist and in my defense the first time I had food poisoning and I was out of town and didn't have my arsenal that I do at home. It really works!

For 2 days, I had a case of food poisoning and the symptoms were bloated stomach, stomach cramps, chills, fever, and the runs every 10 minutes. I stayed hydrated by drinking water with salt, potassium, magnesium. My appetite was non existent due to the bloated stomach, and I was dead tired from not being able to absorb any food nutrients.
My stomach sounded like a battlefield with loud booms going off every few minutes.
I couldn't sleep because of the discomfort, and it was about midnight when I desperately googled for something, anything, to feel better. Read about ACV here, and I took 2 tablespoons and went to sleep.
The next morning, fever was gone, bloated stomach gone, and my head felt clear again. My appetite came back and I could eat again.
Maybe I was at the tail end of the illness, or maybe ACV did the trick!

Are you skeptical? I was, too. Had horrible vomiting, diarrhea, and cramps for days. It was really bad — especially the diarrhea. I could do nothing but lie in bed for days and make repeated trips to the bathroom. I went to the ER at three AM because I couldn't keep anything down. They said it was food poisoning and to just let it run its course. As much as I hate apple cider vinegar, I decided to try it after my mom read all the pages of these reviews to me. I took it straight, diluted in a little water. I gagged, but the vomiting immediately stopped. My diarrhea then stopped being involuntary after a little while—it was just diarrhea when I needed to go, then hardened back up after a few days. This remedy WORKS. If you're skeptical, believe me, I was too. I tried a ton of things like activated charcoal and all these different teas but they didn't help. ACV did. I wanted to post this review to all those skeptics out there wondering if this really works. Well, it worked for me (a teenage girl) and I'm as skeptical as they come. There is hope — just try it.

My husband had bad gas and diarrhea for almost one week after eating cut up fruit from a grocery store. He was not sleeping well. I bought bananas, charcoal, BioK, and an electrolyte solution from a health food store. These helped keep him hydrated etc., but the diarrhea continued over night. He has other pre-existing conditions, so at first we didn't know if it was food poisoning. After five days, we went to an urgent care clinic and he was told to take Imodium etc. They also took some samples and determined that he did not have C Diff. Finally, yesterday evening I thought that he might have Salmonella / food poisoning. I found this site and the testimonials about apple cider vinegar. I suggested to my husband that he try the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar that we have in the house. He started to feel better soon after taking it and took a couple more teaspoons in water before he went to sleep. He had no diarrhea overnight and slept well for the first time in a week! Thank you Earth Clinic and all who wrote in with testimonials. I am writing this in the hope that it helps others in the future.

I am just getting over a lovely couple of days from food poisoning. Went to a local seafood restaurant had an awful dish that was supposed to be shrimp Alfredo. (92% sure it's where the food poisoning came from) Upon leaving the restaurant, noticed my stomach unsettled. The next day, my stomach wasn't having it. After roughly 16 hours, I had intense cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, everything ached, and no energy at all and might have - probably did get dehydrated as I couldn't keep anything down. A wonderful time. I use this site very frequently but didn't think about it until a few hours had passed. Upon remembering the site, I Immediately tried the ACV and it came right back up no questions asked. And if anyone has had that happen to them… it's literally the worst.
So I didn't try the acv again and suffered for a few more hours. I then came to after having the weirdest incoherent dreams, aches, and restless sleep. Actually read a few posts on here about ACV and decided to try it again. I only took a couple of cap-fulls of ACV just to be safe and was able to keep it down. I went to sleep. Woke up a few hours later and my stomach was settled about 57- 63% and didn't have the intense cramps or aches. It is the next day and I'm sitting on the toilet writing this, cramp free and for the most part ache free. Stomach is still doing what it wants. But I feel 87% better. (But am probably only like 78% in reality)
So moral of the story is twofold. Think twice about the weird-ass shrimp dish you're about to eat. And it should be known that for the ACV to work it needs to stay in your stomach. So if it comes up, give it some time and try it again or maybe try diluting it a little more. Don't write it off if you just can't keep it down. The first time. At least that's what I learned. Have fun guys.

Thank you thank you thank you! This was the first day of my grandchildren's three-day visit, and this saved the visit. Food poisoning is normally a 24-hour ordeal. I took a shot of ACV with the mother, had no more symptoms other than feeling bad (not even queasy), and ten minutes later, I was able to take a nap.
Notes: 1. I got it from oatmeal that tasted funny, but I ate it for breakfast anyway a day after making it and leaving it out on the counter. So I knew for certain the cause. 2. I took the ACV within 2 and a half hours of exposure, about 1/2 hour after the first tossing of the cookies.

Two years ago, I had a lobster roll in a restaurant and within 3 hours I was feeling miserable with cramping and later with the runs. I consulted this site and took the dosage of 2 tablespoons in a glass of water and I couldn't believe how quickly I felt better. I've had very few bouts of the flu over my life-time and, not knowing this cure, suffered thru it for many hours before relief finally came, so I feel very sure that the ACV is what helped me because of the immediate relief I had with it from food poisoning. ACV helps me anytime I have an upset stomach. Of course, I take much less of a dose when I have a less of an episode.

Re: Food Poisoning - We all know that gurgling, acidic, unsettling feeling in our stomachs that is quickly followed by the thought "Oh no, I'm about to be sick". Then comes the nausea and stomach cramping. I read the reviews here and went to the nearest store and bought organic Apple Cider Vinegar immediately.
I added 2 teaspoons to about 4 ounces of cold water and sipped on the concoction over the course of 15 minutes. Within 15 minutes of finishing my drink, I immediately felt better! The hot, sweaty feeling went away, my nausea was stopped in its tracks and my stomach settled pretty quickly. Within an hour I was hungry again and was able to eat a light lunch with no problem. This stuff WORKS!

I ate old cake a few hours ago. As soon as it digested, I described it as little bacteria people chomping on my intestines, so instinct told me to drink apple cider vinegar and I had instant relief.

I was in the early stages of food poisoning--extreme nausea, hot and cold sweats, salivating mouth--and just before I was ready to vomit I drank a full glass of water with two tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar. The drink stopped the symptoms in their tracks. I only wish I had known of this cure years before.

You all saved me last night. As I was laying in bed, clenched in fetal position - a position I've been in for a day and a half after food poisoning - I realized I couldn't take the stomach cramps any longer. I read on many sites that I needed to go to the doctor in case I have infected my intestines due to my food poisoning experience. I was so bloated that when I stood (even standing strait up was a challenge) in front of the mirror from the side, I looked pregnant, for the record, I am not. I thought I was going to have to go to emergency because the cramps were beyond tolerable. Then I found this site. Since I already had organic apple cider vinegar handy for my sinus issues that come and go, I thought why not give it a shot, what do I have to lose. About an hour after taking 2 teaspoons strait from the bottle, no water added, the cramps subsided. I was so grateful for this site at 4:00am this morning. I took a couple more teaspoons a couple hours later. What's better...! It also helped to get the bowels going. Thank you to all!! I'm starting to feel like myself again.

Agreed, apple cider vinegar is the best remedy for food poisoning. I used it several times in the past year after getting queasy after eating out and scores of times over the past decade. It might not have been food poisoning but a gall bladder attack from too much rich food, and ACV is famous for helping that too. I only take it straight if I am not too nauseous.. But if I am, then I dilute it in apple juice to make it more palatable.

The Stupid:
Last night I cooked dinner for my husband and I. One of the chicken breasts was significantly thicker, and even after putting it back in the oven briefly, it seemed a bit questionable. Stupidly, as I was starving, I decided it was
fiiiiine, and gave my husband the well-cooked breast.
I took one bite of mine, and the slightly rubbery texture was enough to have me spitting it back out and deciding to forgo the rest.
The Pain:
Regardless, I woke up at 3 am with sharp pains in my stomach, and an extremely active digestive system. Gurgles, rumbling, and diarrhea. Looks like one nibble was enough bacteria to get me down. (Great.)
Tried to get back to sleep, but my constantly active/upset stomach left me googling for any solutions. Most traditional medical sites said "keep hydrated, it'll resolve in 4-7 days." (Again. Great.)
The Game-Changer:
But THEN I stumbled across suggestions of Apple Cider Vinegar, which I just happened to have on hand as a podcast recommended it for a variety of uses. (Always listen to your podcasts, kids.)
I drank 2 tablespoons of ACV in a glass of cool water (surprised at how easy it was to drink, as I'm a picky person and my stomach was not well...) and felt my stomach quiet before I finished the glass. Placebo effect, I wondered? I fell into an easy sleep (finally). When I woke up in the morning, my stomach/digestive system was quiet, and I felt fairly normal.
I still have a touch of diarrhea, but the other unpleasant symptoms have definitely died down. I started this morning with another glass of water with ACV, and intend to take it today before I eat and if and when symptoms act up.
THRILLED with my new miracle cure! :D

Just wanted to let you know this review helped me so much. I am very thankful. I had the same issues as your husband and by day 5 I'm thinking this was salmonella because I had these eggs that no one else in my family ate. After taking the ACV right now, I'm feeling better and hope it will last. Thank you again!

I ate some chicken that had stayed out too long. The next morning I had a head ache, dizziness, and later nausea. I felt tired and laid down for several hours. I suffered the day then in the early evening, I found this site on the internet. I tried two spoonfuls of ACV to a half glass of water. It didn't work immediately. so after a few minutes, I tried 4 spoons to a half glass of water. I was expecting to vomit right away. After sitting down for a few minutes I decided to walk around. That helped and I vomited a second time. After that, the head ache, nausea, and dizziness subsided but did not go away, but the ACV did help within minutes.
